Access to GG Director System Tables?

Hi,
I've installed WebLogic, GG Director Server, GG Director Client and the documentation about GG Director states that after GG Director Server installation several GG Director tables are added to the current database (in my case in Oracle 10g XE). But when i try to select any of them, i get - ORA-00942: table or view does not exist.
Please, any feedback will be helpful.

Who are you logged in as when selecting the table name? If not the GG-related owner, then you will get that error.
As system, for example, or a user you have with select privs against data dictionary:
select username from dba_users;
Find the GG user. Then:
select table_name from dba_tables where owner = 'in upper case, the name of the user you just found';
Or, logon as the GG user and:
select * from tab;
or
select table_name from user_tables;

  • No read access to system tables

    Hi
    i try to migrate access db to oracle and when testing connection it gives me error message says "no read access to system tables modify access db before retrying"
    what to do?
    thanks in advance.

    For a connection to a Microsoft Access database, click Browse and find the database (.mdb) file. However, to be able to use the connection, you must first ensure that the system tables in the database file are readable by SQL Developer, as follows:
    Open the database (.mdb) file in Microsoft Access.
    Click Tools, then Options, and on the View tab ensure that System Objects are shown.
    Click Tools, then Security, and, if necessary, modify the user and group permissions as follows: select all tables whose names start with Msys, and give the Admin user at least Read Design and Read Data permission on these tables. Save changes and close the Access database file.
    Create and test the connection in SQL Developer.

  • How can we access the file/directory system in the server

    Hi friends,
    I have made a text editor attached with an audio player for my project.
    Both text editor and audio player are implemented in applet and put in to a
    jsp page using jsp:plugin. Text editor and player are separate applets running
    in the same page and from same server.A client who is using this editor may
    want to save the edited text files to the server as well as hear audio files from
    directories in the server.
    My question is how can we access the file/directory system in the server
    like we do in the local machine.When the user cliks save or openfromserver button
    in the editor, folder/files in the server must be displayed as we do with FileChooser.
    I am using Apache Tomcat 5,wiindows 2000 server, jdk1.5.
    manu

    You can't access it directly. But your applet can make net connections to the server, and the server can provide that kind of functionality. Generally this is easiest by making HTTP connections and having the server provide the functionality via the web server. (So in your case, JSPs or servlets on the server would list/deliver/create/modify/delete files, and the applets would invoke those JSPs and servlets.

  • BAdI system table name?

    Hi,
    Does anyone know the System Table where BAdI's are stored?
    I mean, I want to write a Function Module which accepts
    an internal table of BAdI Definition names (SE18) and the
    Function Module returns an internal table of interfaces
    used by the BAdi...
    Pls Help.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    The BAdI database tables are
    SXS_INTER -->Exit: Definition side: Interfaces
    SXC_EXIT  -->Exit: Implementation side: Assignment: Exit - Implementation
    SXC_CLASS -->Exit, implementation side: Class assignment (multiple)
    SXC_ATTR  -->Exit: Implementation side: Attributes
    These tables are always accessed by the views V_EXT_IMP and V_EXT_ACT.
    Regards,
    Tanveer.

  • SQL Server system tables

    I am trying to convert a SQLServer 2000 database to Oracle 10g. One of the issues I am running into is the reference in a number of the stored procedures to system tables or procedures in the master database that SQLServer maintains:
    1. sysprocesses table: the sp accesses this table to find out session id and login time for the specific session. I am aware that session id can be mimicked by select sys_context('USERENV','SESSIONID'), but how about login time?
    2. Other procedures have references to sp_OACreate and sp_OADestroy etc that are extended procedures in the master db. The migration work-bench either does not detect them, or does not select them for conversion.
    If anybody has input on how these items can be resolved, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

  • How to limit ODBC from seeing system tables

    The following script followed by a grant script on tables and views I want works except when I am in ACCESS, I see
    SELECT 'DENY SELECT ON [dbo].[' + sobjects.name + '] TO as_FinAidReaderAngel;
    GO'
    FROM sysobjects sobjects
    WHERE sobjects.xtype IN ( 'U', 'V')
    order by sobjects.name
    I tried the public role but it won't let me modify it.
    How can I limit the ODBC connector to just see the tables and views I want?

    SELECT 'DENY SELECT ON [dbo].[' + sobjects.name + '] TO as_FinAidReaderAngel;
    Hello David,
    the system object do have a different schema then dbo, e.g. as in you screenshot "INFORMATION_SCHEMA". And sysobjects is a old, deprecated system table, use sys.objects instead =>
    SELECT 'DENY SELECT ON '
    + QUOTENAME(SCHEMA_NAME(schema_id))
    + N'.'
    + QUOTENAME(obj.name)
    + N' TO as_FinAidReaderAngel;
    GO'
    FROM sys.objects AS obj
    WHERE obj.type IN ( 'U ', 'V ')
    order by obj.name

  • Creating new user having same access as that of SYSTEM user.

    Hi, is it possible in oracle to create a new user having same access as that of SYSTEM user?
    If yes what would be syntax?
    If not i would like to create a user having most of admin rights likes exporting and importing schemas and all.
    How it can be done?

  • Encrypt sys and system tables

    How to encrypt/restrict sys and system tables so that no user can view them.
    On one of the database few user are having dba access.
    Is it possible to restrict their access on the dictionary tables.

    I have not heard of anyone encrypting the sys and system schemas, and suspect it is not possible due to the number of tools that need access to these tables and views (OEM, RMAN etc)
    Maybe the application needs to run "create user" or "select * from v$session", but this does not mean that it needs DBA role. Turn on tracing or auditing to find out what priveleges the application actually needs, then grant minimum priveleges and revoke DBA.
    In the worst case if the application won't start unless it has been granted a role called "DBA" then you may be able to revoke all priveleges from the DBA role and then grant them via a custom role called "MY_DBA", but there is potential for this to go very wrong, so test in a DEV environment first, and I doubt Oracle Support would approve.
    Or you could use Database Vault ....

  • Error at reading RSQONCOND system table via RFC_READ_TABLE

    Hello dear experts,
    I try to read RSQONCOND system table from our external java application via JCO and RFC_READ_TABLE function but receive the following error:
    Could not execute function '[MBI_SAPBW_F0012] Could not execute function 'RFC_READ_TABLE'. Error with ASSIGN ... CASTING in program SAPLSDTX .'. Table: RSQONCOND; columns: INFOSET, ONCOND; where clause: (INFOSET EQ '0SRVE_IS1') AND OBJVERS EQ 'A'
    We used our code successfully with other system tables but in case of RSQONCOND  we got this error, so our code must be fine (if this particular request doesn't require some specific attributes or settings).
    One more thing... I noticed that WCOND attribute in RSQONCOND is of String data type, can it be the cause of the error? But at the same time error takes place even when I try to retrieve the only one record without WCOND attribute (e.g. just INFOSET).
    I also have the same error if to use SE37 transaction with RFC_READ_TABLE  and the RSQONCOND table name in parameters.
    Is it possible to get data from the mentioned system table via RFC_READ_TABLE at all? What the cause of the error? Does any alternatives to RFC_READ_TABLE exist to get the data I need?

    Thank you very much, Sandra for your reply.
    Unfortunately I'm limited by the scope of our application and cannot make any changes on the SAP server, so adding our own custom functionality on the SAP servers is not an option.
    I've also found RFC_GET_TABLE_ENTRIES which doesn't throw an exception but returns somehow encoded values of the STRING datatype (for example from the RSFOBUEV000 or RSQONCOND tables). So, one of the way out is to decode values but I cannot find how.
    Does somebody know how to cope with the issue of retrieving values of the String datatype from third party applications without modifying SAP server?
    We use java and jco library to get access to SAP server.

  • Problem accesing SYSTEM tables of Oracle in Linux Platform

    All,
    I am facing the below mentioned problem during accessing the System Tables of Oracle in Linux Platform. (in linux we have install the Database)
    E.g: If we pass the statement as
    SQL>select * from user_objects;
    It gives the error message as
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-00980: synonym translation is no longer valid
    The same is with :
    SQL> select * from v$session;
    select * from v$session
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-00980: synonym translation is no longer valid
    Can anyone help.
    Regards

    Hi,
    This seems to be a dicitionary corruption. Its better if you consult your DBA.
    If you are a DBA in your project then post the below output
    select object_name, owner, object_type from dba_objects where object_name = 'USER_OBJECTS';
    set long 4000
    select dbms_metadata.get_ddl('VIEW','USER_OBJECTS','SYS') from dual;Regards

  • Checking if UDF in System Table Exists

    Hi all,
    I want to add a UDF in the RDR1 table (Sales Order Lines).  I'm having a problem checking if the field exists!  This is my code...
    If Not oUserFieldMD.GetByKey("RDR1", 0) Then
      oUserFieldMD.TableName = "RDR1"
      oUserFieldMD.Name = "NJ_OpnTpoQty"
      oUserFieldMD.Description = "Open TPO Qty"
    End If
    The problem is that I have previous UDF's from other Add-Ons in that table and so I cant use a Hard Code 0 "Zero" in the "FieldID" Parameter for the GetByKey Method! It could vary depending on the number of existing UDFs.  How do I check for the this UDF with using the "TableID" and "AliasID".  I could use a oRecordSet.DoQuery and check if the RecordCount = 0....but I am having a "-1120 Ref Count..." error problem with having two BoObjects open simultaneously.
    Does any1 have any other way of checking if UDFs exists in System Tables?
    Thanks

    Hi Noor
    I know 2 ways:
    1st:
    Dim mRs As SAPbobsCOM.Recordset
    mRs.DoQuery("SELECT TableID FROM CUFD WHERE TableID = 'RDR1' AND FieldID = 'NJ_OpnTpoQty'")
    If Not mRs.EoF Then
       'Add Field
    End If
    The problem is that you can have this field with other TableId and your code will crash
    2nd:
    Put your "add field" code in a Try..Catch block with no code in catch section.

    Greetings, My name is Jeff, I'm from Netwrix Corporation, which is a Microsoft partner. I have a problem with accessing Microsoft TechNet forum. After signing-in to my account: [email protected], I go to TechNet
    forum, and get a message that:  "Your account does not have access to the forums system." And also I've noticed that all my posts were deleted from TechNet forums. Can moderators tell me why did that happen? Why didn't I receive any warning
    about my account suspension?
    I've already submitted 2 tickets to MSDN Site Feedback Inquiry but didn't receive any answer.
    I've called Microsoft TechNet at 800-344-2121 and Professional
    Support team at 1-800-936-5800.  But everybody send me to the MSDN Site Feedback Inquiry from which I didn't get any answer.
    Anybody can help me with my problem?

    It doesn't appear to be banned, but you're definitely right about there being no activity listed.
    I'd suggest contacting the forums team directly by sending an email to fissues (at) microsoft [dot] com. The admins do monitor this forum, so you'll probably get a response here as well.

    I have checked this system table in this client (Quality Server) but this table is not available, but at the same time this table is available in Devepment server client where i can run this transaction.
    Requiring your help on this to resolve this issue. Do i need to copy this system table PB0021 from Development server client to Quality server client? If so then how to do this activity?
    Thanks in advance....

  • An error has occurred while accessing SQL database or system resources. If this is the first time you have seen this message, please try again later. If this problem persists, please contact your administrator.

    I have SP Server 2010, and when I try to DELETE a rule within an existing Audience, "Property (Account Name) = domain/username", I get this error, "An error has occurred while accessing SQL database or system resources. If this
    is the first time you have seen this message, please try again later. If this
    problem persists, please contact your administrator."  When I try to "MODIFY" the rule I get this error, "One or more values typed on this page are not valid. Check the text for the indicated fields."
    The last time I checked it was working, I'm not aware of any new updates installed recently?  I did a full Profile Synchronization as well, but still not working, please advise? -- Evenstarline

    Hi Sara,
    First of all thank you very much for your prompt responses. Here are my comments to each of your suggestions below, and just to let you know I am using a Farm Admin account.  I
    was able to do this way after we upgraded from SP 2007 to SP 2010 as well.   I would like to mention I'm not a SP expert, just been given the responsibility due to another person handling it just left, so apologize with some of
    my novice questions below?
    1. When I change the Operators to "Contains" or "Not Contains" get generates this error below.
         Error generating in red towards top of the audience page..."One or more values typed on this page are not valid.  Check the text for the indicated fields."
         Error occurred where you enter your "Value"..."Could not resolve the user identity. Please re-enter the account name."
    2. We have a 3-server-tier topology (SPWeb, SPDB, and SPFarm).  Does the updates only apply to where the Central Admin is installed, which is the "SPFarm"?  I checked all
    3 servers, and NONE of the updates (KB2899494, KB2889845, and KB2883055) you'd mentioned are installed.
    3. I'm new to IISRET, I need to be extra cautious of what I run in production, is this safe to run with no problem?  What does it do?  And How do I run it?
    4. I'm also new to viewing the ULS log.  I'd just downloaded a viewer for it.  I'm assuming the only logs I need to be concern with viewing are within the SPAdmin (where Central
    Admin is installed)?  There's so many of them, what should I be looking for exactly?
