Access violation generating AXT file

I am trying to make a snapshot of Autodesk's Inventor 8 and every time I
get to the generating AXT file I get....
Access violation at address 7800124C. Write address 3FE67000.
Can anyone shed some light on why this might be happening.
Zen 3.2, Win2k w/SP3

Basically don't, use the MSI files and an MSI app object.

  • Why does labview generate Dr. Watson error "C0000005 access violation"

I am running Labview 5.1.1 in Windows 2000 Professional on a machine with the following configuration
    *----> System Information <----*
    Computer Name: ANDANTE
    User Name: Administrator
    Number of Processors: 2
    Processor Type: x86 Family 6 Model 8 Stepping 3
    Windows 2000 Version: 5.0
    Current Build: 2195
    Service Pack: 4
    Current Type: Multiprocessor Free
I have all of a sudden begun to experience labview crashes. The crash occurs systematically after tens of minutes; not just a few minutes, but not more than an hour or so. I am running a vi but not actively interacting with the machine (no other applications running, not even moving the mouse around). The problem happens even when running a vi that I have run successfully for extended periods of time (overnight) only 3 months ago. I have tried it with two different vis, one that I have recently made a lot of modifications to and another that has not been touched for months (since before the crashes began), and it happens with both vis. They do much different things (communicate with different GPIB or PCI boards, write to different kinds of files in different locations, etc.), so the problem seems to be vi-independent.
When the crash occurs, I see a dialog appear with the error
labview.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log has been created.
The Dr. Watson error log is generated and the error is
    Application exception occurred:
    App: (pid=1160)
    When: 4/25/2004 @ 01:57:56.640
    Exception number: c0000005 (access violation)
I always get the same Dr. Watson error information -- i.e., it is very reproducible. I don't really know how to interpret the rest of the Dr. Watson log, but I include the report on the first thread, which is the one with the "FAULT" in it, at the end of this email.
Looking around on the web, it may be that a temporary virus infection could have created the problem. In the period since the machines was last successfully used, I have seen two files be infected by the W32.Welchia.B.Worm virus, the files were svchost.exe and WksPatch[1].exe. These files have been quarantined and no other infected files have been found since this error began to appear.
Any ideas? I've seen on the web that reinstalling Windows 2000 and/or upgrading to Labview 7.0 might solve the problem, but it would be nice to get some confirmation before taking the time/spending the money.

For questions like these, you are better off contacting NI directly. Goto www.ni.com/ask for directions. It has been my experience that Dr. Watson error logs are only useful as supplementary information. It is best for support and for the forum if you can provide a clear description on how to cause the error consistently.

  • Accessing Server Generated Files

How can I allow our users to access Server Generated Excel spreadsheets that are
not part of the ear/war. For example, the excel spreadsheets are dumped into
    the directory
\bea\user_projects\WebDevelopment and I want to create an html link that accesses
the spreadsheets in that directory without the files being archived in the ear/war
    file.

I just noticed this from http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc179062%28v=office.14%29.aspx
"The Outlook 2010 .prf file format has changed but Microsoft Office Outlook 2007, Office Outlook 2003, and Outlook 2002 versions of the file will work with Outlook 2010."
I was using Office2010 setup to generate a prf file and import it on Outlook2007 so maybe that's the problem.
I'll try generating a prf using Office2007 setup and see how it goes!

  • RWRBE60.exe has generated an exception: access violation

I have a user who uses Oracle report called from a form. Several times a day she reports that she get a Dr. Watson application error saying that RWRBE60.exe has generated an exception: access violation when she invokes the report runtime (while running the report not printing it). She is running Windows NT Version 4.0, SP 6; She has 256K memory. She is running Forms 6.0.5.0.2 and Oracle Report 6.0.5.28.0. Any thoughts?
    Thanks
    Anandhi

I've got a similar problem. I'm running windows xp and reports 6.0.8.22 including Patch 13. I don't get the same error, but the RWRBE60.exe stops with a problem. That only occurs by using reports where the parameters are variable and only by the second time I call such a report. If I close the RWRBE60.exe after the first report that probem doesn't occur. Maybe you could check, whether the problem doesn't occur if you close RWRBE60.exe between two reports.

  • InitCVIRTE generates error message "Unhandled exception in "MyApp.exe": 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00000000."

    Hi,
I have converted a LabWindows CVI project to Visual Studio 2005. When I start the application i debug mode I get the message "Unhandled exception at 0x685662ba in EE352-500V.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00000000."
It comes when the application calls:  InitCVIRTE in this context:
int __stdcall WinMain (HINSTANCE hInstance, HINSTANCE hPrevInstance, LPSTR lpszCmdLine, int nCmdShow)
    // Initialize LabWindows/CVI run-time library
    if (InitCVIRTE (hInstance, 0, 0) == 0)
    return -1; /* out of memory */
    The debugger indicates that value of hInstance is 0x00400000 {unused=9460301}
Can someone give me a solution to this problem. I have done some search on the Web without success.
    Thanks!

I think that exception might be coming from the data execution prevention service that is part of Win XP SP2.  The OS thinks that you're somehow trying to execute in the data segment and kills the process.  It's intended to catch worms and viruses.
You can turn this service off for non-Microsoft programs using the control panel.
Many pointer handling errors now report as this exception instead of as a memory violation exception.  That looks like a null pointer derefence to me.

  • JDeveloper 3.2 Problems - Access violation errors

    Hi,
I suddenly got the following error message on a dialog box when I was editing code in the visual designer:
    QUOTE
Access violation at address 00402FC8 'jdeveloper.exe'. Read of address FFFFFFF
    UNQUOTE
When I tried to save my work, I was not able to received a similar message. When I tried to exit, I recived the following message:
    QUOTE
JDeveloper was unable to autosave the current workspace. Do you wish to close the workspace anyway?"
    UNQUOTE
After exiting the workspace, I was not able to reopen the workspace. I created a new workspace and added my projects to the new workspace. I was happy that I did not lose my work.
I have received the access violation error before. I do not know what causes it and I would appreciate very much if the JDev team explains why such an error occurs.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
We intermittently see postings of this kind. The more information you can provide us about your environment and what you are doing when you get the error, the better:
    1. What OS are you running (include version and SP).
    2. What kind of processor does your machine run?
    3. Do you have a single processor or multiple?
    4. What kind of project were you working on? Did you create an empty project and a new class file and were just editing source code, or did you create some initial content using one of the wizards from the Object Gallery and were modifying the generated code, or did you import existing code from some other location?
    5. How many source files did you have in the project?
    6. Was the source file you were editing a .java file, or a .jsp, .xml, .html?
    7. Does this happen frequently, or is this the first time? Has it happened since?
Again, the more detail you can provide, the better we are able to identify possible sources of trouble.

  • Access Violation when trying to read from Open Hub in BW

    Hi,
Can someone help me out. I use BODS version 14.1.1.210. I have setup the connection to BW source and imported metadata for my OpenHub - no problem.

    Hello Erik,
not sure about it, but did you see this post some hours after yours?
DS 4.1 job aborts with Access Violation
Also, did you check ST22 to see if it generates any dump?
And if you're able to check the BODS log files, it might me helpful. They're located at %LINK_DIR%\log directory. Check the names with the execution of the job.
    Hope it helps!
    Regards.

  • Access violation after changing from OCCI 10g to OCCI 11g

I am moving my program from OCCI 10g and Visual Studio 2005 (VC8) to OCCI 11g and Visual Studio 2008 (VC9). I have downloaded the new instant client and SDK files (11.2.0.1), and everything builds OK. Using OCCI 11g, my program can write a spatial table to our Oracle Spatial 10g database, but when I try to read the data back, I get an access violation reading a spatial object (SDO_GEOMETRY). I am able to read the spatial table I created using OCCI 11g successfully using an earlier version of my application that uses Instant Client 10g.
I used OTT from 10g to create the class that wraps SDO_GEOMETRY. I tried generating new code from OTT in 11g, but the result matched the code generated in 10g.
The crash happens in a call to oracle::occi::ResultSet::GetObject(), and the top method in the call stack that has source code is:
// Note: this is part of the object wrapper generated by OTT.
    void SdoGeometryBase::readSQL(void ctxOCCI_)
    SdoGeometryBase *objOCCI_ = new(ctxOCCI_) SdoGeometryBase(ctxOCCI_);
oracle::occi::AnyData streamOCCI_(ctxOCCI_); <--- Access violation happens on this call.
This happens on the first attempt to read an SDO_GEOMETRY object.
Has anyone run into a similar problem?
    Thanks,
    Bob

I am bumping this thread in hopes that someone might have run into this same problem or be able to give me some suggestions as to how to go about solving it. My program can connect to the database and query the list of tables or other non-spatial data, but when I try to read an SDO_GEOMETRY object I get the crash described below. The crash happens on both Windows XP and Windows 7. As far as I can tell, I am using the latest instant client and SDK files for Oracle 11g.
Were there any changes between 10g and 11g that would force me to change my code?
    Thanks,
    Bob

  • ACCESS VIOLATION calling SQLPEX - SQLLIBSHRA.EXE

This is a problem for OpenVMS / Oracle Experts
I have quit an old large legacy system to integrate - actually migrating away from a CORBA based communication backbone to a webservice AXIS2/Java based backbone using HP's WSIT e all, and yes - this legacy uses an old Oracle 7.3
The OS is HP OpenVMS / Alpha V 7.3-n,
    When I link all my native code together the process launched through Java JNI is a "NETWORK" detached process which should do a DB_Connect via SQLPEX (ctx, sqlstm );
The layers involved are like that; AXIS2/J webservice -> WSIT-javaBean ->
    JVM -> JNI -> SPg-Server.c (an wsit outer-wrapper) -> SPg-Legacy.c(my inner wrapper) -> SPS_WRAPPER.PAS (the inner-most wrapper / dispatcher) -> Business-logic-*.PAS -> DataBaseAccess.PAS
(the database access code was generated by LNPROPAS from statements like EXEC SQL CONNECT .... etc.)
When I exchange my SPS_WRAPPER.PAS WRAP() by a TestWrapper.PAS WRAP() which bypasses all business logic, SQLPEX(ctx, sqlstm); works perfectly and the database opens, in fact, a new detached second process is launched as ORA_nnnnn and my detached integrated web service process communicates nicely via MailBox Devices.
However when I link in my original legacy code, LINK is fine, and all my business code runs fine when it gets called from the WRAP(), BUT I get an ACCESS VIOLATION as soon as SQLPEX() is called to connect to the Database.
I can not debug because the code which does the access violation, for what ever reason, is in SQLLIBSHRA.EXE, and invoked when I call sqlpex( ctx, sqlstm )
Maybe there is ONLY a resource problem, but why then an ACCESS VIOLAITION and yes, which resource to we have to make bigger. SYSGEN Parameters, autogen feedback did not help.
I am not an Oracle Expert, so I do not know what and how I can make ORACLE tracing and logging and show me why I get this acess violation in a pice of code which runs nicely since 10 years in a CORBA environment, also runs nicely when my business logic is bypassed.
    And yes: ORA_ROOT:[000000.NETWORK.ADMIN]ORASRV_BEQ_A.COM
is not hit / called when it comes to the access violation.
Any hints are welcome before I have to jump into machine code debugging without a source listing.
    [email protected]

This problem was caused by a user-stack-heap-code-collision
PTHREAD applications may not do aoutomatic stack size expansions on a per thread basis and hence an access violation deep in long-time-running code is very likely to occure. (code which does not belong to YOU, for which you know it runs basically since 10 years, which migth not be supported any longer by the vendor)
solution: WSIT (webservice integration toolkit) by default assignes 30000 bytes for each threads user-stack-size, can be adjusted in the .WSI deployment descriptor file; Now running at 60'000. WSIT V3.0 will allow for single threaded legacy server integration and have a automatic stack size expansion supported when running in this mode. (as per HP)

  • Can not access the media card files Blackberry 8310 - HELP

Can not access the media card files Blackberry 8310.
I had a battery drain problem. The unit would only last 16 hours before completely drained. Purchased a new battery with the same result. I figured that I should try a complete reset so I did a hard wipe. Once that was done and I loaded the unit back up and returned online, the battery drain problem was resolved but now I can not access the media card.
     Here are the messages:
“A media card has been inserted that contains encrypted content which will be unaccessible by this device”
I can see the files. I have transferred them to my PC via the SD card but I can not open them. Here are the settings:
     Media card support – ON
Encryption Mode: - Security Password & Device
    Encrypt Media Files – YES
Mass Storage Mode Support – OFF
Please note – I can not change the encryption mode since it is set by policy
Security Options – General Settings – Content Protection – Disabled
The version of Desktop Manage I am using is 4.2.1.8. When I try to use the Media Manager to move the files, I get an error message and can’t move the file. If I access the file on the card and try to display it, I get:
     Unable to display file /media card/ pictures/ing000000xx.jpg.rem
Here is what I have tried (from the advice on this board):
     1)     Read the files directly off the media card – No good
    2)     Create a “new” folder on the media card and move a file into it then try to read it – No good
    3)     Email the file then read it – No good
    4)     Reset Encryption mode to off then try – Can’t do it – IT Policy setting
    5)     Be sure that the password was set the same as before the wipe (setting is password & device) – Can’t do it – The Blackberry prevents me from using an old password.
So I think I can’t read the files because I can’t replicate the encryption key. Could that be right? My problem is that I do not understand why this would be the case. It is still the same device and since it knows what the old password was (because it would prevent me from using it again), why would it not generate a key to access the files?
All I am trying to get off the card are pictures on my 6 year old … some are priceless. Can someone help me do this? One would think that this should not be this hard but from all the postings I have found, it seems that it is. And yes, shame on me for not moving the files before I did the reset (THAT will never happen again!) but this being unrecoverable is unconscionable given how many seem to find themselves in this situation.
Thanks for any help you can offer!

Not sure why you couldn't see them using mass storage mode. Did you have the pics stored on your media card? Try going to media-menu-explore-media card-blackberry-pictures See what the extension is on your pics. If any have the extension such as .jpg.rem they are encrypted.

  • How to generate SWF file with dynamic data but no live connection

    Hello,
We got a requirement where we have to email out SWF file either in PPT or outlook generated from BOBJ universe. When the file reaches the customer who would be outside our network with no access to our servers or data should be able to view the swf file with data. So the goal is to generate these files automatically and should not prompt for BOBJ login or wouldn't have ability to query the database but need to report data pertaining to the customer.
Any help in this regards is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Manohar

    Hi Manohar,
You can use QAAWS(query as a web services) and build your queries on universe.
You get an option of hardcoding the user id and password in the data connection for QAAWS which will not asks the users for login credentials.
This will hepl the user to veiw the latest data from the database and the user wont be asked for login too.
    Thanks,
    Amit.

    Hello,
We are having an issue running Diadem 8.1 on a new HP XW 9400 with Windows XP SP2. 3 errors have been occuring with frequent crashes, they are:
    1) "1Exception EAccessViolation in module ntdll.dll at 000111DE. Access violation at address 7C9111DE in module 'ntdll.dll". Read address 37363430.
    2) The instruction at "0x7c9111de" referenced memory at "0x352e302d". The memory could not be "read".

We are using the same scripts and version 8.1 on a variety of Dell desktop computers (W2K and XP SP2) without any issue, looking for suggestions as this affects no other software on the HP XW 9400 other than DIAdem. Appreciate any suggestions.

    Christian,
I will answer your questions in the text below. Thanks for your help.
    Hi swillh,
I also would like to help you.
Unfortunately, The reported access violation in the central Windows ntdll.dll is very unspecific.
May be the following questions will help you to provide me more info.
    1. You mentioned that the aut's and - I think - also the accessed text file reside on a server.
Is there a stable network connection?
The server can sometimes be a little slow but the connection is good. This computer is using the same connection that the prior computer utilized without issue.
Are the files accessed by multiple clients simultaneously?
It is possible that more than one computer can be accessing the same file, but again, this has never been an issue. We are reading the files only, not writing to them.
The processing routines we are running have used for over 5 years without any issues until adding this computer.
Is the text file read by one client while another client is writing the same file?
    No, files are "read only"
    2. Have you already tested opening the file with the FileOpen command before calling FR?
    Yes
Do you see any chance to convert the aut to a vbs file? This gives you more alternatives in accessing text files.
    3. What do you mean with "processing ATD's with 30 or more channels of data"? Where is the relation between ATD files and data channels?
Processing Crash Dummy data with file sets low in channel count (15 channels) result in successful processing without any crashes or access errors.  When processing dummies with more than 20 channels we sometimes encounter these issues. The higher channel count may be the only common factor I can find in these faults.

  • Access Violation error with Diadem 2011

I've started using Diadem 2011, and have run into an Access Violation error when loading some of my existing reports.  I've created a simple example which shows what's happening:
I've created a simple Bar plot:
If I change the left hand bar to be "Filled" instead of "Right Diagonal", Diadem throws up an access violation error.  I've attached the TDM and TDR files used to create the graph.  The error in the log file is:
139  Error while executing "" command
         Error type: ACCESS VIOLATION
         Error address: 0004F5E5
         Module nameIAdem.exe
    Diadem: 11.0.3f4563 TDM
    USI: 1.9.0f4551
    DataFinder: 3.0.0f4556
(By the way, it would be great to be able to copy those version details directly from the About page!)

    Data.zip ‏7 KB

I've tried this as administrator, and have exactly the same issues, so it doesn't appear to be a permissions problem.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled DIAdem and everything's the same.
Here's another ZIP file with hopefully all of the required files.  I've created the data files from scrathc several times, and see the same problem.  One other thing I've just noticed is that it only occurs when filling the bars with the color Black, not blue or red or anything else.
