Accessing A URL

Hi,
I do have a web application which is deployed on Oracle Application Server 10.1.3. When I access a file with Arabic Name, am receiving a response saying that file not found. I can see the path is correct and the file is under appropriate context. When I saw the log, server recieves the filename as some other characters, where in its not able to find the path.
Please help me to resolve this issue

Please provide details.
You say "When I access a file with Arabic Name" but the title of the topic mentions a URL. So what is "I" in that sentence... is it you sitting at a keyboard looking at a browser, or is it metaphorically some code you wrote which runs on the server, or what? Sloppy problem descriptions like that are basically useless.

  • How to access a url only from APEX

    Hi all.
    We have a system that is accesible from internet, We are trying to secure the access to this system via login from APEX in order to deny the access to the URL if the request is not from our APEX app.
    We configured the corresponding hostname in our APEX server and some firewall rules, but when a client clicks the link the hostname is looked in the client's computer, so is never found.
    Is there any way to make this hostname resolution in the server's side?
    Thanks in advance, regards.

    sKC,
    You may need to explain yourself in more detail
    "How do I access a URL only from APEX?"
    If you are trying to limit access to "mynormal.server.com" by seeing if the end user clicked on a link from "myapex.server.com", the answer is:
    You don't.
    Trying to limit access to a web page based on how you got there is a really really bad form of security due to the false sense of security it implies.
    It is so bad that it is better to not even try.
    reason:
    All URL requests can be easily manipulated by the client computer that is making the request.  (ie the request is easily faked.)
    The Unix utility wget can be used to fake the 'referrer' information.

  • "Browser is not supported" message accessing a URL to an Image

    Hi.
    I have a dynamically generated URL, which points to an image (GIF) created based on a BusinessGraphics chart.
    When I access this URL with Internet Explorer (6.0.2900), no problem at all. The image loads and is displayed on IE. But, when I set this URL to be called from other sources (like an Adobe Interactive Form image field, or creating a inputstream based on this URL), the below message is displayed:
    Sorry, your browser is not supported by Web Dynpro!
    Is there a way to solve it? I need to display the image associated to this URL in Adobe Interactive Form.

    I have a file xyz.xml at the top of the webapplication HFUSE which i can able to access by URL

    My problem is how to get the realpath of the file "xyz.xml" for reading and writing purposes.
    I tried various things but i could not able to successfully solved the problem?
    1) File f = new File("/xyz.xml");
    print(f.getAbsolutePath()) ============== it is not fetching the file @ http://localhost:8080/HFUSE/xyz.xml rather it is creating a file
    at the root of the drive where eclipse is running.

    Can anyone please guide on this problem?

    If you want your context root(i.e HFUSE)
    use this:
    request.getContextPath() //where request is HttpServletRequest object to get the needful path.
    e.g:
    File f = new File(request.getContextPath()+"/xyz.xml");//it will create the file inside HFUSE.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards
    BWrong. The File constructor expects an absolute filesystem path. The HttpServletRequest#getContextPath() doesn't return the absolute filesystem path, it only returns the relative path from the current context root. Use ServletContext#getRealPath() instead, it returns the absolute filesystem path for the given relative path from the current context root.
    File file = new File(servletContext.getRealPath("/"), "xyz.xml");

    It looks like the adapter engine is not able to register him self on SLD, you have to check in the SLD the "Exchange Infrastructure" domain, you have to verify restarting the J2EE the adapter engine update the entries in the SLD related to the specific XI Domain.
    Launch Visual Administrator >> Server >> Services >> SAP AF CPA Cache
    Enter the appropriate values for:
    SLD.selfregistration.hostname (Use fully qualified hostname)
    SLD.selfregistration.httpPort
    SLD.selfregistration.httpsPort

    Error while reading access data (URL, user, password) for the Adapter Engine
    Is there any way I can resolve this? thanks all
    Regards,

    Possible reason is Adapter engine is not registered on SLD. Check in SLD.
    You can also try restarting J2EE adapter engine and update SLD entries specific to XI domain.
    Lauch Visual admin go to Server > services > SAP AF CPA Cache
    Enter the appropriate values for:
    SLD.selfregistration.hostname (Use fully qualified hostname)
    SLD.selfregistration.httpPort
    SLD.selfregistration.httpsPort
    Finally, if all the above seem to be correct check the userID / pwd for user ID : PI*.

    Hi Prasad,
    Please explain in clear english as to what is your requirement. I got lost after "two company user" . I suppose it means there are users from two separate company: A and B. They were using same portal till now: http://commonportal:50000/irj/portal.
    Now they need different urls - specific for each company say companyAportal.com and companyBportal.com. But still the same old common portal in the end.
    If that's your requirement please search the forum with correct terms, else "Google".

    * When designing reports, use "http://REPORTSERVER/Pics/somepicture.jpg" as the "Value" property for images.
    I have followed these steps but I still can not get the images to display.
    Our reportserver resides in the directory of another website rather than the default site.  I would assume that I would still follow the same procedure that you have listed but it did not help.
    Does anyone have any other recommendations?

  • ADF Authorization for ADF Mobile:Configuring Access Control URL for ADF App

    Can someone explain, how to expose weblogic user roles as a Rest Json Api? Basically I want to set up Access Control URL to authorize users on adf mobile.

    Hi Frank,
    This is what I did. Could you please let me know if I am doing it right.
    1. Created an adf application with a simple page and applied security basic http authentication.
    2. Added a rest service implementation in the same application, changed the adf application web.xml as below
    <servlet-mapping>
       <servlet-name>jersey</servlet-name>
       <url-pattern>/jersey/*</url-pattern>
      </servlet-mapping>
    3. When I test the rest service in browser, it asks to log in and returns the user roles. Below is my rest implementation
    @POST
    @Produces(MediaType.APPLICATION_JSON)
    public User getMessag3() throws Exception {
    return new User();}
    the rest service returns the logged in user roles in below json format.
    {"userid":"susant","roles":["SSBAccessGroup","authenticated-role","SSBAccessApp","anonymous-role"],"priviledges":[]}
    Do I need to implement anything on the ADF mobile side or I can just add the rest service url to the authorization tab. Will adf mobile automatically handle sending the http request.
    Actually I just added the rest service url to adfm-applications connections authorization tab and I am getting ACS failed error after log in.
    Thanks

  • Wrt54gs - allow access by url ?

    Is it possible to allow access by URL, instead of blocking access by URL?
    (fox example - to allow the kids to access disney.com and nothing else)
    I know a similar question was asked earlier, but it was over 2 years ago.  Apparently the wrt54 was not capable of this.  I'm wondering if there may be any new developments.
    Thanks.

    Sorry, no this is not available.  Sounds like what you want is a software network manager like Netnanny.   http://www.netnanny.com/
