Accessing Instance info from external app

We would like to provide a view of the instance information in BPEL within another web app. Specifically, a list of Instances, with the ability to click and get the Audit info.
This would allow us some production visibility of our processes, without giving access to BPEL console directly.
Anyway recommended "easiest" route to this?
- Direct calls to BPEL DB?
- Are there existing .jsps/components within BPEL that we can simply invoke?

Excellent, anyone have a link to the 10.1.2 JAVA BPEL API docs??

    When I go to access my albums from any app on my phone or iPad, I cannot access the iCloud albums, only the albums synced with iTunes/iPhoto manually.  This is frustrating because I cannot add to those albums from mobile device, I have to add to them during a Mac sync.  I would like to be able to use my iCloud albums to organize my photos but if I cannot access them from apps it seems pointless.  I will end up having to maintain both an iCloud library and a separate iPhoto library which is more work that seems necessary.  I want everything easy to organize and access.  It seems like in this age where most people are more likely to use their mobile devices than their Macs (and some do not even own Macs) that there should be a mobile solution.  Hopefully I am simply without a clue and you folks can help me out with a fix or a source of info as a solution.  I have not found answers yet.

  • Pass Principal to EJB from external app

    Hello,
    I have spent half a day with glassfish v2 trying to find what seems to be trivial information: how do I pass a caller's principal, so that it could be retrieved from EJBContext inside container (by ctx.getCallerPrincipal()).
    I know that at least servlet container delegates it behind the scenes. But I need to do this manually from external java app, for ex., from junit tests. Without passing a principal, I am calling EJB without a problem by looking up the initial context with these params:
    env.setProperty("java.naming.factory.initial", com.sun.enterprise.naming.SerialInitContextFactory");
    env.setProperty("org.omg.CORBA.ORBInitialHost", "hostname");
    env.setProperty("org.omg.CORBA.ORBInitialPort", "port");
    env.setProperty(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "url");
    I assumed that adding these line will solve the problem:
    env.setProperty(Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL, "uname");
    env.setProperty(Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS, "passw");
    Hawever, with these settings the caller's pincipal name inside container is ANONYMOUS.
    Can anyone help me out with this?
    Thank you!

    Hi,
    of course I did. I guess there is no problem in doing all kind of stuff with app client container. However, the question is, how it is possible to delegate user's principal from external app, like JUNIT test runner?
    There is simply no damn information about this! =(
    Anyone, please?

  • Accessing 2 DDLs from an App

    Hi,
    I am accessing 2 DLLs from my app.
    In one DLL i am defining an interface to make a DBConnection using
    getConnection method and the other DLL has the interface
    UpdateDB() which updates the database.
    My app uses these two dlls to perform DBConnection first followed
    by UpdateDB.
    I like to know if this works, if so can some one point me to a location
    where i can find something like this.
    Please help.
    Regards
    Venkat

    You wont get any api for directly accessing Servlet application objects from any ejb. I dont think MDB either solves your problem directly. Indirectly you can place a request to some servlet (should be there for each JVM and web application ) and update your application scope variable. I would suggest you to cache the data in database if the size of cache is large. otherwise any open caching tools may help you.

    Please help!!! I cannot update all my free installed programs on my iPhone 4S. I want to remove my credit card info from my Appe ID but there is no none !!!

    Had you never backed up the phone before? When you saw the iTunes logo and cable, the device was in recovery mode. The data was already lost. The only way to recover from that is to restore the device, which will delete all of your data. You will only be able to restore to your last backup, whenever that was. Sorry this happened, but this highlights the importance of doing regular backups. The backup is the only protection you have against a problem like this.

  • Can't access apache webserver from external IPs with 10.5.5

    I've just setup a new install of 10.5.5. I have one website configured on port 443 with SSL enabled. It all works fine internally.
    My router forwards external requests on 443 on to the local machine (192.168.5.1) which I can see working as the server's firewall is logging the access as accepted:
    Nov 24 19:37:10 server ipfw[4657]: 12308 Accept TCP 82.132.136.215:58095 192.168.5.1:443 in via en0
    So neither the router nor the OS X server firewall is blocking the request, but the webserver is not responding. There is no mention of the access request in the apache access or error log.
    As mentioned, the server is working perfectly from local IPs on the same subnet. netstat shows this setup for port 443:
    tcp46 0 0 *.443 . LISTEN
    Any one any ideas on what I can do to diagnose this? I had this working perfectly with OS X client's apache but since installing the server version I have no access from external IPs.
    Cheers
    Russell

    Hi Harry, as expected, telnet server 22 works and responds with
    Escape character is '^]'.
    SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_5.1
    But telnetting to 443 fails to connect after a minute or so and responds with
    telnet: connect to address XX.XX.XX.XX: Operation timed out
    telnet: Unable to connect to remote host
    It may well be something to do with my IP setup. Internally, my network is on 192.168.5.X/255.255.255.0. My server is 192.168.5.1 and also provides internal DNS. Telnet works from internal IPs.
    Externally I have a static IP and external DNS requests resolve to this static IP (as I can ssh to myserver.mydomain.com from external addresses and 'host myserver.mydomain.com' returns the correct info).
    Perhaps Apache isn't responding because its seeing a request to the external IP address coming in, but I thought setting the site to respond to address 'any' should over come this. It worked fine with the client.
    Cheers
    Russell

  • Accessing instance variables from container

    I am new to Flash. I am a programmer, not a designer so this
    is my first foray into Actionscript.
    I am creating a slide show player in Flash. It retrieves an
    XML file containing other .swf files that should be played, the
    order in which they should be played, the length of time each one
    should show, and the text that should be displayed.
    For example:
    <presentation>
    <globals>
    <setting name="use_transitions" value="false"/>
    <setting name="use_delays" value="false"/>
    </globals>
    <slide src="slide5.swf" text="Slide 1" delay="10"/>
    <slide src="slide3.swf" text="Slide 2" delay="10"/>
    </presentation>
    I have everything working except for the loaded .swf file
    picking up on the text to display.
    I can set the Var: property on the dynamic text field to
    _root.dynamic_text and it will load what is in the variable
    dynamic_text just fine.
    However, the slide3.swf and slide5.swf file have default text
    in them that should who if there is no text specified.
    It seems that variables inside a loaded movie are not in
    scope.
    I load the movie using:
    loadMovie(slides[nIndex][0], "slideMovie");
    However if my instance name on my dynamic text field is
    "theText" this code does not work:
    this.slideMovie.theText.text = dynamic_text;
    How do I dereference the dynamic text field?
    Thanks for any help.

    Where is that code placed? Where is theText? Where is
    dynamic_text defined, or what is it? _txt usually signifies a
    TextField instance, but if that was the case then the statement
    would not do anything. Are you trying to access objects in the
    external slide SWF before it has been loaded and initialized?
    I'm sorry that I wasn't clear enough.
    Maybe this will help.
    ============== Begin Code ==============
    slide3.swf
    ========
    _root
    layer |------> Instance of Graphic Symbol
    -----------------------> Dynamic Text Object named
    'theText'
    layer |------> Instance of Graphic Symbol
    -----------------------> JPEG Graphic Background
    layer |------> Actionscript Layer
    slide_show engine.swf
    ==================
    _root
    layer |------> Movie Clip Object named 'slideMovie'
    layer |------> Actionscript Layer
    Actionscript code snippet:
    /* This becomes a two dimentional array of slides.
    * slides[index][0] is the .swf file to load.
    * slides[index][1] is the transistion to load. (Not
    currently used.)
    * slides[index][2] is the delay to wait (in seconds) until
    the next slide shows.
    * slides[index][3] is the customized text to show the loaded
    slide. If blank show the default text.
    var slides = new Array();
    var dynamic_text;
    var nIndex = 0;
    var main:Object = new Object();
    main.switch_slides = function()
    if (nInterval != -1)
    clearInterval(nInterval);
    if (nIndex >= slides.length)
    return;
    _root.dynamic_text = slides[nIndex][3];
    loadMovie(slides[nIndex][0], "slideMovie");
    this.slideMovie.theText.text = _root.dynamic_text;
    nInterval = setInterval(main, "switch_slides",
    (slides[nIndex++][2] * 1000));
    // Code to load and parse the configuration file deleted for
    brevity.
    ============== End Code ==============
    The slides are made by our designer. Most of which animate
    the background image and then fade in the text.
    The text object usually does not exist in the first key
    frame. So my workaround is probably the only way this can be done.
    The workaround needs to go in every slide's actionscript
    layer on the first key frame.
    The only real problem I have with it is that I need to put
    the default text in the actionscript. Putting a Var reference in
    the dynamic text will remove the text there if the variable is
    empty.
    However trying to dynamically create the var reference does
    not seem to work. For example:
    In the slide3.swf file if I have the following code on the
    actionscript layer, the var reference in the dynamic text does not
    get pulled in properly:
    if (_root.dynamic_text)
    this.dynamic_text = _root.dynamic_text;
    I need to put the var reference at the top with the default
    text. For example:
    var dynamic_text = "default text";
    if (_root.dynamic_text)
    this.dynamic_text = _root.dynamic_text;

  • Access weblogic roles from external application

    Hi all. In my scenario, the user and roles are stored in the WebLogic server. Then, there is an external application (not deployed on this WebLogic server) which needs to access these users/roles. Can someone tell me if there is an API provided by WebLogic through which the external application can access them? A sample code/documentation link for this would be icing on the cake.
    Thanks for reading this post.
    Vishal Singh.

    The embedded LDAP server that comes with WLS is not intended to be used by other applications and scale up to a large amount of users. Oracle recommends using an enterprise class identity management solution for use cases like that such as Oracle Internet Directory or Oracle Directory Server Enterprise Edition.
    However, if you want to see how to embedded LDAP, this link shows you how to use a standard LDAP browser:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/web.1111/e13707/ldap.htm#i1102166
    So by using a Java LDAP api with the settings as described in the docs, your external app may be able to access users/roles.
    I think you can find WLST examples for that somewhere too.

  • How to migrate the userwise organization access rights info from 11i to R12

    Dear All,
    Is there a way to migrate the user-wise organization access rights information from 11i to R12 ? Does this falls under DBA purview ?

    I assume you are talking about Organization Access (in Inventory). As far as I know, there is no api for this. You can consider using a key-mapping software such as Data loader / winparrot.
    OR
    you can write your own script to insert records into the org_access table. It should be a straight forward insert. You just need to ensure that the combination of organization_id, responsibility_id and resp_application_id is valid.
    Hope this helps

  • Does Windows 8.1 support NVMe admin commands to access SMART info from SSD?

    Hi, we are developing and testing our new "NVMe SSD" and toolbox.
    When we try to get SMART info from our NVMe SSD at Windows 8.1, we are having troubles that Windows 8.1 seems not pass "Get Log page" command which is one of NVMe admin commands.
    However, we can successfully get SMART info from SATA-based SSD without any issues.
    So, just wondering if Windows 8.1 natively support all NVMe admin commands, or we need to develop our own special driver instead of Windows in-box driver (StorNVMe.sys).
    Thanks in advance for any help.
    BR,
    HJ

    Hi HJ,
    StorNVMe.sys supports the admin commands internally. On win8.1, the miniport driver doesn't allow NVMe pass-though commands thus you cannot get NVMe log out of the driver.

    Thanks, Michael!
    Is there any other walk around to get NVMe log out of the driver?

  • How to call OIM API from external app?

    Hi,
    I have an java application and I would like to call OIM API to accept a request. The application resides in separate server than OIM.
    My questions:
    *1.* What to do to call OIM API from external application (import any OIM jars etc.)?
    *2.* Which method to use, setRequestResponse , closeRequest or any other?
    I appreciate any help, thanks.
    Edited by: m.m. on Feb 2, 2010 5:33 AM

    Hello,
    If it is an external client, you need to provide the "login" and "password" details explicitly in the code (something like this), before getting any other Interface control to invoke the OIM APIs -
    public class OIMAPIClientTest {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    try{
    System.out.println("Starting...");
    ConfigurationClient.ComplexSetting config = ConfigurationClient.getComplexSettingByPath("Discovery.CoreServer");
    Hashtable env = config.getAllSettings();
    tcUtilityFactory ioUtilityFactory = new tcUtilityFactory(env,"xelsysadm","abcd1234");
    System.out.println("Getting utility interfaces...");

    Very impressive that it is that easy but trying to get my data is a pain.
    Time Machine is a  backup of your computer SYSTEM,  not idealized as a data archive.
    Consider other options for the future  >
    Data Storage Platforms; their Drawbacks & Advantages
    #1. Time Machine / Time Capsule
    Drawbacks:
    1. Time Machine is not bootable, if your internal drive fails, you cannot access files or boot from TM directly from the dead computer.
    2. Time machine is controlled by complex software, and while you can delve into the TM backup database for specific file(s) extraction, this is not ideal or desirable.
    3. Time machine can and does have the potential for many error codes in which data corruption can occur and your important backup files may not be saved correctly, at all, or even damaged. This extra link of failure in placing software between your data and its recovery is a point of risk and failure. A HD clone is not subject to these errors.
    4. Time machine mirrors your internal HD, in which cases of data corruption, this corruption can immediately spread to the backup as the two are linked. TM is perpetually connected (or often) to your computer, and corruption spread to corruption, without isolation, which TM lacks (usually), migrating errors or corruption is either automatic or extremely easy to unwittingly do.
    5. Time Machine does not keep endless copies of changed or deleted data, and you are often not notified when it deletes them; likewise you may accidently delete files off your computer and this accident is mirrored on TM.
    6. Restoring from TM is quite time intensive.
    7. TM is a backup and not a data archive, and therefore by definition a low-level security of vital/important data.
    8. TM working premise is a “black box” backup of OS, APPS, settings, and vital data that nearly 100% of users never verify until an emergency hits or their computers internal SSD or HD that is corrupt or dead and this is an extremely bad working premise on vital data.
    9. Given that data created and stored is growing exponentially, the fact that TM operates as a “store-it-all” backup nexus makes TM inherently incapable to easily backup massive amounts of data, nor is doing so a good idea.
    10. TM working premise is a backup of a users system and active working data, and NOT massive amounts of static data, yet most users never take this into consideration, making TM a high-risk locus of data “bloat”.
    11. TM like all HD-based data is subject to ferromagnetic and mechanical failure.
    12. *Level-1 security of your vital data.
    Advantages:
    1. TM is very easy to use either in automatic mode or in 1-click backups.
    2. TM is a perfect novice level simplex backup single-layer security save against internal HD failure or corruption.
    3. TM can easily provide a seamless no-gap policy of active data that is often not easily capable in HD clones or HD archives (only if the user is lazy is making data saves).
    #2. HD archives
    Drawbacks:
    1. Like all HD-based data is subject to ferromagnetic and mechanical failure.
    2. Unless the user ritually copies working active data to HD external archives, then there is a time-gap of potential missing data; as such users must be proactive in archiving data that is being worked on or recently saved or created.
    Advantages:
    1. Fills the gap left in a week or 2-week-old HD clone, as an example.
    2. Simplex no-software data storage that is isolated and autonomous from the computer (in most cases).
    3. HD archives are the best idealized storage source for storing huge and multi-terabytes of data.
    4. Best-idealized 1st platform redundancy for data protection.
    5. *Perfect primary tier and level-2 security of your vital data.
    #3. HD clones (see below for full advantages / drawbacks)
    Drawbacks:
    1. HD clones can be incrementally updated to hourly or daily, however this is time consuming and HD clones are, often, a week or more old, in which case data between today and the most fresh HD clone can and would be lost (however this gap is filled by use of HD archives listed above or by a TM backup).
    2. Like all HD-based data is subject to ferromagnetic and mechanical failure.
    Advantages:
    1. HD clones are the best, quickest way to get back to 100% full operation in mere seconds.
    2. Once a HD clone is created, the creation software (Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper) is no longer needed whatsoever, and unlike TM, which requires complex software for its operational transference of data, a HD clone is its own bootable entity.
    3. HD clones are unconnected and isolated from recent corruption.
    4. HD clones allow a “portable copy” of your computer that you can likewise connect to another same Mac and have all your APPS and data at hand, which is extremely useful.
    5. Rather than, as many users do, thinking of a HD clone as a “complimentary backup” to the use of TM, a HD clone is superior to TM both in ease of returning to 100% quickly, and its autonomous nature; while each has its place, TM can and does fill the gap in, say, a 2 week old clone. As an analogy, the HD clone itself is the brick wall of protection, whereas TM can be thought of as the mortar, which will fill any cracks in data on a week, 2-week, or 1-month old HD clone.
    6. Best-idealized 2nd platform redundancy for data protection, and 1st level for system restore of your computers internal HD. (Time machine being 2nd level for system restore of the computer’s internal HD).
    7. *Level-2 security of your vital data.
    #4. Online archives
    Drawbacks:
    1. Subject to server failure or due to non-payment of your hosting account, it can be suspended.
    2. Subject, due to lack of security on your part, to being attacked and hacked/erased.
    Advantages:
    1. In case of house fire, etc. your data is safe.
    2. In travels, and propagating files to friends and likewise, a mere link by email is all that is needed and no large media needs to be sent across the net.
    3. Online archives are the perfect and best-idealized 3rd platform redundancy for data protection.
    4. Supremely useful in data isolation from backups and local archives in being online and offsite for long-distance security in isolation.
    5. *Level-1.5 security of your vital data.
    #5. DVD professional archival media
    Drawbacks:
    1. DVD single-layer disks are limited to 4.7Gigabytes of data.
    2. DVD media are, given rough handling, prone to scratches and light-degradation if not stored correctly.
    Advantages:
    1. Archival DVD professional blank media is rated for in excess of 100+ years.
    2. DVD is not subject to mechanical breakdown.
    3. DVD archival media is not subject to ferromagnetic degradation.
    4. DVD archival media correctly sleeved and stored is currently a supreme storage method of archiving vital data.
    5. DVD media is once written and therefore free of data corruption if the write is correct.
    6. DVD media is the perfect ideal for “freezing” and isolating old copies of data for reference in case newer generations of data become corrupted and an older copy is needed to revert to.
    7. Best-idealized 4th platform redundancy for data protection.
    8. *Level-3 (highest) security of your vital data.
    [*Level-4 data security under development as once-written metallic plates and synthetic sapphire and likewise ultra-long-term data storage]
