Accessing ressources (css,images, scripts...) in portal archive via URL?

Hello!
I have created a par file with the following PAR-Archive:
*.par
  ¦
  +---meta-inf                Automatically generated.
  ¦
  ¦                           All files and folders in the root folder are deployed as public. This usually includes resources,
  +---images                  images,
  +---css                     css,
  +---scripts                 JavaScripts etc.
According to the documentation, you can access all folders in the archive. But in which way??? The URL looks like this:
http://bbmag34.bbmag.aldi.com:50000/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtmode/preview/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fALDI!2fcom.aldi.extranet!2fcom.aldi.iviews!
2fcom.aldi.extranet.iview.flex-integrator-text <- i tried to add !2fscripts!2fhallo.txt (which i copied to the scripts directory) but nothing happened.

Hi Björn,
maybe this will help...
public static String getImageUrl(IPortalComponentRequest request) {
          HttpServletRequest httpRequest = request.getServletRequest();
          StringBuffer buf = new StringBuffer(1024);
                                String prot = (httpRequest.isSecure()) ? "https://" : "http://";
                                buf.append(prot)
                                  .append(httpRequest.getServerName())
                                  .append(":")
                                  .append(httpRequest.getServerPort())
            .append(request.getWebResourcePath())
                                  .append("/images/");
          return buf.toString();

  • Accessing static content (javscript, css) from JSPs in portal component

    Hello,
    I have a portal component with some jsp files in the folder dist/PORTAL-INF/jsp . Within the jsps I want to access some css and javascript files which I've put in the folders dist/css and dist/scripts. Can anybody tell me how I can access them from the jsp?
    Thanks and best regards
    Dominik

    Hello,
    I finally solved it. To whom it may concern:
    The integration in the JSP should look like the following:
    <%
    IPortalComponentResponse componentResponse = (IPortalComponentResponse)pageContext.getAttribute(javax.servlet.jsp.PageContext.RESPONSE);
    IResource css = componentRequest.getResource(IResource.CSS, "css/style.css");
    IResource js = componentRequest.getResource(IResource.SCRIPT, "scripts/script.js");
    componentResponse.include(componentRequest, css);
    componentResponse.include(componentRequest, js);
    %>
    And make sure that the css file does NOT start with the tag
    <style type="text/css">
    Best regards,

  • CSS Images

    Hi,
    Is there anyway to find out the CSS images delivered with SAP Portals.
    For ex. I am trying to customize the light detailed tree delivered with Portal.
    When I downloaded lightdetailed tree from Portal and imported into NWDS,  CSS images in the /dist/css folders are missing.
    Can anybody tell me from where I can get these css files.
    P.S : I do not hv access to login to server via remotely.
    Best Regards,
    Ravi Kumar.

    Hi,
    The best way to change the look and fill of the portal is to use the theme editor.
    you can change there the icons of the light detailed navigation tree as well, you can check this link for info:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/1a/d7c1617dd29e4d85064b467636fada/content.htm
    You need to navigate to System Administration -> Portal Display,
    choose your theme.
    then the theme editor will be opened, and you need to choose the light Detailed Navigation iView, and then you will be able to change the images you want.
    Hope its help,
    Avi

  • New PAR file not appearing in the Portal Archive Selection list

    Hello Knowledgeable Portal Ones,
    I am on EP6.0 SP13.
    A developer on the team created a new PAR.  It was uploaded, and it is now showing in my portalapps directory.  A super-admin for the portal can successfully create an iView using it (New from PAR), but developers (who have lesser security access) can not.  When developers attempt to do so, no portal archives appear in the portal archive selection list.  In fact, developers would not be able to create a new iView from any PAR.
    I see that the portalapp.xml has placed the PAR in "high-safety".  I suppose this may be causing the problem.
    How do I address this problem?
    Thank you for your feedback.
    Kevin

    Hi Kevin,
    there are two known possibilities for this behaviour:
    1.) Within the portalapp.xml, the property com.sap.portal.pcm.Category has been set to "platform". This should only occur if someone imported an existing PAR to modify it. Also see Browse deployment iview
    2.) Someone has changed the permissions for application access (under System Administration - Permissions - Portal Permissions - Applications - <YourApplication> --- There the one who should create an iView from a component must have Read permission for the corresponding application, also see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/f6/2604e505fd11d7b84200047582c9f7/frameset.htm - Administrator Permissions - For portal components
    Hope it helps

    Message: Script error

    Char: 0
    Code: 0

    My page works and my js is refenced correctly. Not sure if this is just a IE8 thing, or whether the page needs uploading to work correctly. Works fine in Chrome.
    Wonder if there is a way to fix this?

  • Problems applying preboot imaging script bundle w/ 11.3.2

    Hi all,
    Just wondering if its just me with these issues.
    I had our preboot imaging script bundle assigned to the Workstation folder within the ZCC, but since the update to 11.3.2 when attempting to apply the imaging script bundle to a device within the ZCC it throws an error saying that no imaging script bundle is assigned to the device. The only way to get around this issue has been for me to assign the preboot imaging script bundle to each device within our zone, not the folders they exist within.
    Another issue I've had is if I select more than one device within the ZCC the action option "apply assigned imaging bundle" is greyed out. If I only select one device I am able to use that option again.
    Can anyone else confirm if they're experiencing the same issues?
    We're running 3x SLES 11 primaries running 11.3.2, all with the imaging role (our imaging script load balances between the three).
    I've tried accessing the ZCC with Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome and they all experience the same issue above.
    Regards,
    Matt

    Hello Matt,
    we are having the same issues. Did you contact Novell and opened a SR?
    Regards,
    Thomas
    Hey Thomas,
    We're on an educational licence so, unfortunately, we don't have any SRs to play with. Hopefully Anders has sent the issue trough to Novell.

    I really don't know anythign about scripting but I remember that it is important to put the script in the following folder structure:
    Scripts-Scripts Panel-Version 4.0 Scripts
    I hope that will do it.

    In the Portal Favorites of an authenticated user a spacer image transpix.gif cannot be displayed.  The path is /irj/go/km/docs/etc/public/mimes/images/transpix.gif  It causes the exception below and also a direct access via URL triggers the exception.  I checked all sorts of permissions, default roles and what not.  I am at a loss as to where to look.  It works fine in the dev and production portal but not in our qa portal.  Can someone help?

    Thanks, I found it.  The problem seems to be fixed but I am not sure if as a result of the measures discussed here.  I had also reset some folder permissions before after which the user reported the problem had gone away.  I am not able to put the system back into the broken state so I cannot identify the source of the problem for sure.
    Nevertheless, I discovered another corner of the portal, previously unknown to me.  Case closed.

  • How do I display blob (image) in a Portal Report

    I am using 9ias 10222 and portal 30983 and I have a table that stores an image as a blob and have a varchar field to store the mime type. I have created a form to upload the image and can then query the form to display the image.
    How do I dislay the image in a Portal Report/Dynamic Page Component. I have followed note 68016.1 but the retrieve_img_data procedure does not work it gives a wwv-11230 error.
    Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Belinda

    Hi,
    Can you display what code you used for this? I followed note 172045.1 and everything compiles properly but when I run the report, I just get a box with a red X in it, like it is not finding the picture. I ran the procedure that downloads the image and it works fine from there. Thanks.

  • Unable to access the Time Statements in ESS Portal

    The user is getting a critical error(com.sap.pcuigp.xssfpm.java.FPMRuntimeException) when trying to access his time statements from ESS portal. The user recently moved to a different country and trying to access statement there. Are there any country specific paramaters that are needed to be changed or set when a employee is reallocated?
    Please help me.

    Hi Rafi,
    We are also facing similar kind of issue.
    When i select type of leave as annual it is giving an error message as
    " Parameter  missing in call of method BUILD_ACTOR_SELECT_CLAUSE in class CA_PT_REQ_ACTOR "
    But when i select some other leave type and click review it is working fine, again if i click on previous step and change the leave type to annual it is working fine without giving any error message.
    Please let us know how you have solved your issue?
    Thanks.

  • Importing Subtitles using Image Script

    I'm just about to make a project with seven different languages. It will have audio tracks as well as subtitle tracks.
    I've done subtitles in Encore 1.5 before using text with some success. For this production I need to import tif using an image script. I can get the script working, however once it's located the images to import it gives me an error message along the lines of
    "Sorry, an abnormal condition has been detected. Before quitting, you have one chance to save your project..."
    Note I get passed the Map Colours and Import Subtitles dialogue box. It is only when I click on this last stage that it goes bad.
    Any ideas. I kinda thought this was what the program was meant to do.
    - Geoff

    Turns out the problem I was having was due to memory. Needed to restart.
    Naartjie, not sure how to save subtitles with a background image. Encore seems to only want to work with three colours, one is the background colour, the colour of the text and the colour of the outline for the text. So unless you can make your background image from the two colours that remain on the screen - text colour and outline, I'm not sure how to do go about it.

  • Multiple CSS image rollovers on a page

    Hi there,
    So, I have miraculously managed to create my first ever CSS image rollover navigation button on my webpage. This page is an online art gallery so there will be several small image rollover buttons linking to different pages of art.
    My question is now that I've created one CSS rollover, do I have to create a brand new one for each additional button or is there  a way to change the image and name of the existing button?
    Here is my CSS and HTML for the existing image rollover:
    /** Declaration for the a.singleRollover selector **/
    a.singleRollover {
        display: block;
        width: 90px;
        height: 90px;
        overflow: hidden;
        text-indent: 0px;
        font-size: 0px;
        line-height: 0px;
        background-image: url(../Images/CSS%20Rollover/ButtonTOBI.jpg);
        background-repeat: no-repeat;
        background-position: 0 0;
    /** Declaration for the additional states of the a.singleRollover selector **/
    a:hover.singleRollover {
        background-position: 0 -90px;
        background-image: url(../Images/CSS%20Rollover/ButtonTOBI.jpg);
    <div id="smallBox01a"><a class="singleRollover" title="Tobi rollover" href="Images/CSS Rollover/ButtonTOBI.jpg"></a></div>
    The problem is that the background image is already set as ButtonTOBI. Is there a way to specify the image in the HTML each time individually rather than in the main a.singleRollover item? It seems very repetitive to have to go in and create lots of individual CSS rollover buttons.
    Thanks in advance for any help.
