Accidentally deleted a playlist, how do I recover it?

I think I accidentally deleted a playlist from my iTunes. I searched the trash, could not see it. Where did it go? I thought I deleted a song from my "purchased" area and I noted that the playlist I was adding to disappeared. Can I recover this? Where do I find the files? I tried to link my iPod to see if I could move it to the computer and it disappeared from my iPod as well. I did not empty my trash.
Thanks
Pete

PS
I did find in my finder section under music several previous iTunes libraries are listed, the most recent being 10-4-08. I suspect these are some sort of automatic backups that the system does. Are these accessible? If so, how do I do that? If I double click the library nothing happens.
It seems I should probably have some external drive to use as a backup should this happen again. Suggestions welcome. I assume I could rebuild my playlist, though I can not recall what was all in it!
Thanks

how can i recover my notes

If you backup with iTunes and you restored from the backup and the notes were gone, then there is no where to retrieve them from unless you have another backup that contains those notes.
Launch iTunes on the computer and go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices. You will see a window with all of your backups listed in it.
If you see a recent backup that you are certain contains the notes that you need, recover deleted notes from iPhone backup.
If your note is gone from iCloud.com there is only a few ways to possibly recover it.
The first things I would check is a iCloud Backup, a iTunes Backup, or a 3rd party email that may have contained the note. To restore from a iCloud or iTunes backup follow this
link. This article explains how to restore a device from either back up.
Note if you have backed up since the note went missing, you will not have the note on the backup. Make sure you do not back up if trying to restore from a back up as this will
back up the content without the note.
To get to the "Set up assistant" on an iOS device, you must go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content and Settings. Once the phone restarts, you will be at the "Set up Assistant"

    Have you emptied the trash?
If not, simply open the trash folder and drag it back out.
If yes, you can't unless you get some recovery software. And you should not use the computer at all until you do because every time you do anything, new data will get written over the area you want to recover.

I accidentally deleted my photos; how do I download my files and photos from Adobe Online Storage?

So i think backup online the the most effective way to protect data loss!
If you found you have lost your important files, you can just download it from the online server.
And if you delete your files from hard disk and cannot download it from online storage, there is still another way-data recovery software to recover your lost files.

I accidentally deleted iPhoto. How do I get it back?

    reinstall from the original source
    Could be
1 - the restore disks that came with the computer
    or
2 - the iLife DVD that you purchased
    or
3 - the app store - log in under the Apple id used to purchase the software or to set up the computer - look under purchases - you might have to unhide or accept the Application first

  • Hi, i've accidentally deleted my imessage, how can i reinstall it?

Hi, i've accidentally deleted my imessage, how can i reinstall it?

    Only by reinstalling OS X.
Boot into your Recovery partition (holding down the Command and R keys whilst booting) and elect to resinatll OS X. It will take some time. None of you data, etc., will be erased (although it's always a good idea to have a backup).
    Good luck,

I have a 2009 macbook and I accidentally deleted Safari. How do I reinstal it?

If it's in a backup, restore it from there.
If not and the computer's running Mac OS X 10.6.8 or earlier, install it from the Mac OS X install DVD, using Pacifist if needed, and then run the combo updater for that version as well as all applicable Safari and security updates.
If not and the computer's running Mac OS X 10.7 or newer, restart with the Command and R keys held down and reinstall the OS.

There's not much you can do other than trying an "un-delete" utility.
Here's one you can try:  http://www.active-undelete.com/

First, swipe your home screen to the left so you see the white search field top of the iPhone window. Type in:  Phone
If it doesn't appear in the results field, connect your iPhone to your computer, launch iTunes. Right or control click the iPhone under Devices left side of the iTunes window then click Restore.

Choose Logic Pro X > Key Commands > Edit
From the Key Commands window, choose Options > Presets.
What do you see in that menu? You should see something like this:

  • Geotagged a folder of ~200 photos then accidentally deleted folder.  How to recover geotagging data?

I had a folder of around 200 photos that I imported into Lightroom (Version 3.6) and manually geotagged using Lightroom with Jeffrey Friedl's Geoencoding Support Plug-in.  This took several hours of work in Google Maps, determining where each photo was taken then individually labeling each photo with the exact GPS coordinates in Lightroom, so it was pretty annoying when I realized that I accidentally deleted that folder earlier this week in an attempt to free up some space on an external hard drive.
I *do* have two back-ups of the same photos that were in that folder, however -- one on another external hard drive and one on a laptop -- but the photos in those folders are untagged and don't have any of the geotagging data that I manually applied to the ones in the other (now deleted) folder in Lightroom.
When I go into Lightroom now and look at Previous Import it shows thumbnails of all the deleted images along with the text "The file named (imagename.jpg) is offline or missing."  However, in the Metadata panel on the right under "Geoencoding" I can still see the GPS coordinates I applied to each of the photos.  I could individually write down each of those sets of coordinates along with the numbers of the images they belonged to and then manually type in all those coordinates for the 200+ photos in the folder with the untagged photos but it seems like there has to be an easier, faster way to do this.  Is there?
Let me reiterate what I'm asking.  I have 200 photos in Folder A on one external hard drive and the same exact 200 photos in Folder B on another external hard drive.  I manually geotagged all of the photos in Folder A using Lightroom but then accidentally deleted Folder A.  I still have all the same photos in Folder B but without the geotagging data.  I can still view the geotagging data of the pictures that were in the now-deleted Folder A in Lightroom.  Is there any way to transfer that data to the same pictures in Folder B, using Lightroom or any other program?
Any help would be much appreciated.  Thanks!

Outside LR, just copy Folder B back to the same place as Folder A was, and make sure it has the same name as Folder A. That's it. You haven't lost the metadata, including the geotagging info....that's all still in the catalog. But because you've deleted the folder outside Lightroom, you get the "File is offline or missing" messages (in fact if you look in the Folders Panel you should see Folder A listed also with a '?' mark).....so just putting the folder back in place should fix the issue.

  • "iPhoto Library" icon/folder deleted by mistake, how do i recover it?

Fist off i am not a iMac genius, so bear with me as you read .  I Just bought an Imac (21.5 monitor and 1TB with OS X Lion 2012 version).  After transferring all my photos in the "Picture" folder (click, drag and drop into the "finder" then into the "picture" folder (not iPhoto yet) I then selected all the photos (dozens of folders and over 8,000 photos) click and drag then into iPhoto and they all successfully transferred (which took several minutes).  I noticed when transferring most of the photos over it gave me the option to either transfer or discard duplicates, i chose to not import the duplicates.  Since i had ALL my photos in iPhoto i decided to delete the old file that i copied earlier and empty the trash.  In the deleting frenzy i accidentally deleted the "iPhoto Library" icon/folder )or whatever that picture is) and every time I open up iPhoto now it asked to either locate "iPhoto Album 1" (which can not be found) or start another album (which would be "iphoto Library 2" which opens up with none of my pictures.)  Sooooo, after freaking out i downloaded 2 file recovery software program which seems to have found most if not all the pics (still need to pay to get a key code to get them back), however since i delted the photos that transferred into the finder>picture folder and did not delete any photos form iPhoto itself is there a way to get back the "iPhoto Library" that housed all my pictures?  In theory all my pics are still in the hard drive but i do not know where to look for that little "iPhoto Library" icon/folder.  What is the best Apple/Mac recovery software to purchase to get them back?  Or are they all the same?  Or is there a file buried deep in the hard drive that are hiding all my photos that tech support can guide me to?  And if there is, how to i search for that?  Any help would be great!

however since i delted the photos that transferred into the finder>picture folder and did not delete any photos form iPhoto itself is there a way to get back the "iPhoto Library" that housed all my pictures?
    No.
Inside that package are thouands of files - your photos, thumbnails, face thumbnails, database, metadata, cache and other files. To reconstruct the Library you would need to get all of these in exactly all the correct locations. That's not going to happen.
Best you can hope for is to recover the actual photos and then start over from scratch.
Unless you have a back up of course...
    Do you?

  • Help - Photos Deleted from iPod, how do I recover them?

I accidentally deleted all the photos stored in my iPod during syncing. They were not stored on my Mac.
Is there any way to recover photos from an iPod? They must still be there somewhere on the iPod, it hasn't been reformatted yet or anything.
If anyone knows how I can get the photos back (if they are still living on the iPod somewhere) please let me know.

Your only hope is data recovery software.
