Accordion Ipad

Hi All,
I have created a new component based on SAP accordion. The only change is It will allow multiple sections to be opened at one time.
However I am stuck up with tap and hold functionality of this.
When user taps and holds the component for sometime in IPAD, user is unable to open other section.
can someone provide me some insights?
Here is code that I am using
if (jQuery.support.touch) {
       myComponent.MultiAccordion.prototype.ontap = myComponent.MultiAccordion.prototype._handlePress;
    } else {
        myComponent.MultiAccordion.prototype.onclick = myComponent.MultiAccordion.prototype._handlePress;
regards

edit: just noticed 'Muse' in your title.
Is Muse anything to do with Digital Editions.
Maybe you should post on a different forum?

I didn't think there was an iPad edition of ADE.
I thought it was necessary to download an ereader app such as Bluefire.
If you have downloaded such an app and are using it, let us know which app it is.
If it isn't Bluefire, try Bluefire which works well on my iPad.

  • Accordion behaviour on IPad

    Hi All,
I am observing strange behavior of accordion in Ipad. Sometimes while expand collapse it just hangs.
I am handling tap event. Also how to see the tooltip in Ipad?
Note setTooltip Api does not work even on desktop.
    any pointers will be helpful.
    regards

    Just to push it up.
Has nobody an idea, whether the behaviour I tried to describe (excuse my bad English, I am German) is a problem of Muse, of Safari on iPad or of my unsufficient skills in designing a website?

  • Accordion Panels and List Menu don't work if I place html files in subfolders

    Hi all,
Switched from Dreamweaver to Muse and I have very limited knowledge of code.
Not an IT expert and not a web developer this is just for my own site.
I have sub-folders in my site. All html files are inside sub-folders except index.
ie contact.html or products.html I move them manually from root to the subfolder, using the easy interface of Dreamweaver. I call the subfolder "en"
so I can have pages such as mysite.com/en/contact.html
In the subfolder I copy and paste from  root the css, images and script folders,
keeping the original css/images/scripts as well, in the root, so index.html is not affected.
and same time the look of the html pages inside the subfolders does not change.
    BUT
list menus and accordion panels don't work. I click and there is no movement
How can I solve this ? I know Muse does not allow the creation of subfolders,
everything is uploaded in the root.
When in Dreamweaver I had placed 50 pages in subfolders and I was indexing them in google and bing.
Now can't again put 50 pages in root and can't remove URLs and make new indexing for all these pages
Any help ? many thanks for any assistance.

The iPhone, like the Ipad, uses the Mobile Safari browser, so here's an earlier thread that might give you some insight: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/613494

  • Accordion on iphone

    Hello,
I have an accordion that when seen on a PC or iPad works well. However, there is one small bug that's really annoying me. If I resize the browser from screen to tablet down to mobile, I clearly see a scroll bar, yet on the iPhone I do not. it's just mobile view that fails to display a scroll bar and seems to expand the accordion window depending on its contents.
    Questions:
    is this the norm?
How can I force a height restriction?
Or how can I get mobile view to focus on the start of each accordion, rather than the same view position as the previous window?
http://marisol-park.webspace.virginmedia.com/research.html is the url so you can see what I am trying to do. The code was aquired and adapted to work.

    Hello Rick,
On the browser I see scroll bars, but on the iPhone the accordion windows seems to adapt to it's contents, thus it doesn't show any scroll bars. Saying that, if there are no scroll bars on an iPhone that would answer one question.

  • CS6 Spry navigation submenus not dropping down in iPad or smartphone.

My submenus are revealing correctly when hovering over and clicking through on a desktop (Safari, Chrome, Firefox and IE8).  When I try to navigate on a iPad or iPhone the submenus will not reveal even if I resize the screen. Any advice?  Thanks in advance.

Spry is no longer being developed or supported by Adobe. You would be better off in the long run if you switched to jQuery (javascript) or CSS for your menus.
That being said, the reason why it doesn't work on handheld touch devices is because they don't have mice. Since there is no mouse pointer on handhelds, any script that relies on them fails. A  javascript onmouseenter or onmouseover or a css :hover won't do anything on an iPad, iPhone or host of other touch only devices because there is no mouse pointer to fire the function connected to them.
You will need to rethink your menu systems for touch devices and use css :focus or javascript onclick events so the menu appears when the parent element is tapped.
The best way to go, in my opinion, would be to create an all css menu system, then use Media Queries based on device resolutions to control if the menu uses :hover for a desktop or :focus for a handheld to fire the submenus. That way your menu would open when a mouse enters the parent button on a desktop and when tapped on a handheld.
There are really a lot of different ways to go though. Doing a search on jQuery Accordion menus or css accordion menus will bring up a ton of examples and most will have a tutorial on how to implement them, plus you have the added bonus of being able to check their demos out on an iphone before downloading them to ensure they function the way you like.

  • Is there a way of getting a "schedule view" in iCal on a mac and on iPad in the same way you can get one on iPhone?

IS there a way to get a schedule view of events on a busy day in iCal on the iPad 2 Air and on the Macbook Pro?  I can get this view on an iPhone.

I am paranoid that some untrusted technician is going to make a copy of my music (11,000 tracks) or share some of my personal information (scanned copies of my birth certificate, passport, certificates, photos, etc.) on the web.
If you put your info into the computer and hand it to another, you have to assume they will copy everything.
Why are you putting scanned copies of valuable identity information into a computer than can be hacked, stolen, lost or compromised by a dirty tech?
    Have you lost your mind?
Is there a way of finding out what activity has taken place whilst they've had it in their possession?
No. The tech would just deny it if he did, or tell the truth which the answer would be "NO" in either case.
The employer won't ask that sort of questions without solid proof, less they make a enemy of the employee and/or risk being sued for defamation of character.
It's not like they bother to have a team of people watching over his shoulder that he doesn't stick a USB thumb drive of your data into his pocket to take home.
I am paranoid that some untrusted technician is going to make a copy of my music (11,000 tracks)
If it's iTunes music, it has your personal ID embedded into the song files. Most IT techs know this though.
I appreciate any advice you guys can offer.
Too late now, all you can do is not worry about it.
Take your personal info out of the machine and if you need it, burn cd/dvd copies, a few USB thumb drives, Iron Keys or self encrypting external storage drives with key and/or keypad.

  • How can a family share an iPad, specifically, using email? Seperate account

I know, you can have multiple email accounts. i have 3 on my iphone 4. But if my wife, daughter, and I all use the ipad. Can you set up email to ask for what account to load?
Again, i know you can switch after the fact. I am trying to avoid the scenario where I may see my daughter email, or my wife may see mine. Not that we have anything to hide. But if i order flowers or something, i wouldn't want here to inadvertently see the conf email because ipad defaulted to my account.

Perhaps consider setting your family up with Gmail accounts. Gmail (Google's email service, even though you probably already knew that) is totally free and has an awesome web interface, especially on the iPad. Then each member of your family could log in/out of their Gmail accounts using mobile Safari.

  • How can I setup a mail-specific passcode/restriction on iPad used by multiple family members?

How can I setup a mail-specific passcode/restriction on iPad used by multiple family members?
Have an Exchange mail account setup and accessible in my mail on iPad... however my kids use it and i would like to restrict them from accessing this specific portion of the device.  I tried viewing restriction options and do not see that i can apply a restriction specifically to Mail.  Thanks for your help.

Not a feature of iOS. Check the AppStore to see if there are other
mail apps that allow passcode protection.
Or use Safari to log onto your email via a web-based interface and
enter your credentials each time. A bit slower, but the kids will
not know the details to login.

  • How can I use multiple ipad's on one account without sharing individuals personal email accounts?

Is it possible to have multiple ipads on one account and share info, but also allow the individual users to have personal email that is not seen on the other ipad's? We have all ipads on same icloud account because we all need to see the same ical. It seems like that's the problem. If it IS related to icloud then if we have separate icloud accounts, how would we share the main ical otherwise? Sharing the ical is very important for this business so everyone can access the daily schedule. Of course each user still wants to have private email.
    Hope this wasn't too confusing!
    Thanks!
    Doreen

you could set up the main icloud itunes acount for ical and not have in setup on the devices
and share the calandar with the other itunes accounts on the devices
or only have it on one device
devices have the users indervidual itunes icloud setup
they should be able to access the shared "main" itunes icloud ical account once it's shared
    http://howto.cnet.com/8301-11310_39-57542557-285/three-methods-for-sharing-an-ic loud-calendar/
if the devices are company owned you could go futher and setup find my iphone on the main itunes account
and not on the user icloud accounts

  • Cannot send email from ipad?

I can receive, but cannot send emails from my iPad. Always get message that I have wrong user name or password.

Then make sure that the settings are correct in your email account.
Check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

  • Cannot send email from my IPad Air

I suddenly cannot send email from my IPad Air. Keep getting message that my email recipient
was rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying.  Don't understand what this means as I have been able to send email before.

Paula, in most cases this message appears when you are sending email from a ISP server not in the pop settings and SMTP settings in your email program.
In example if I send out email from my iPad I must be on my own isp's server to send. I have roadrunner but if I send email out using say Verizon's email server I will get a reject notice.
You did not say what email program you are using but if it is hotmail or yahoo or your isp's email in two of these email accounts there are stand alone apps which work much better than the stock email program on the phone.
If you are using road runner or another ISP email you must get the proper Pop3 (incoming) server settings and SMTP (send) settings from your ISP
You can then just go into the Settings-Mail, Contacts and Calendar section and click on the email account and change to the proper settings from your ISP.
You could delete as you were told but why bother when only the sending and receiving settings need to be entered.
If the settings are correct, on an iPhone it tests the settings. If correct send an email. If incorrect you will need the proper settings from your ISP.
It is actually very easy to do.

  • Cannot send email from new iPad 2 or new iPhone 4s

I have a new ipad2 and a new iPhone 4s.  I cannot send email from either.   I had an iPad and an android before with no email issues.  Phone is Sprint and ipad is Verizon.  I have tried using my wifi and have tried turning wifi off.  Nothing works.  Please help.

I agree, unplug and replug your router, then reset your iPad by holding down the sleep and home buttons, ignore the red power down slider, and wait til you see the silver apple. let it reboot and then try your connection.
Chances are rebooting the router will help. You may also need to talk to cox. They may need to reset something on their end.
