Accordion Menu with Column Chart

Dear All,
I have an accordion menu and a column chart showing monthly precipitation and on the graph I would like to add average points
at the same time I would like to have the "average" title not showing in the menu.
Any way to handle with it?
Many thanks.
Ed.

    Hi,
    This type of question is almost impossible to answer over a forum .
    You need to work with your business to understand what these requirements mean in terms of data modelling and relationships between object entities.
    - Some of these metrics should be delegated to source, and calculated in the update routines to your datatargets (aka Cubes/Tables)
    - Others could be resolved in the semantic layer (Universe)
    - Other will be calculated in the presentation layer as local formulae or variables.
    whilst BusinessObjects is a fairly intuitive tool, it may be unreasonble to expect a new learner to deliver an advanced report with conditional formatting.

    Hi ramesh,
    check out my edited version of Chandrashekhar Mahajan's fiddle
    http://jsbin.com/jetoz/1/edit
    Chandra was trying to create a new Dialog everytime which i've modified & chart inside a popup is a known issue which has been mentioned by SAP UI5 in Notes section. You can do a workaround by manually rerender() or setTimeout()

  • How to integrate Sliding picture menu with Bubble chart

    Hi
    I have a Bubble chart as below for sales
    X axis = Amount (ex- 2500045)
    y axis = Deal age (ex- 15)
    z axis = stages (ex- quotation/negotiation/closed/lost)
    I have datas for 5 sales rep with different stages
    Next is a Sliding picture menu
    This has pictures of the above 5 sales rep.
    Now how to integrate these two. that means if I click one sales rep picture data of that salesrep should reflect in bubble chart, likewise if I click on other sales rep his data should appear in the bubble chart
    Can any experts help on this.
    Thanks
    KS

    Could you explain a bit more what it is exactly you're trying to accomplish.  How are you trying to integrate the openbox menu with tint?
    For example: right-clicking free space on tint panel brings up OB menu.
    Current workaround works (tint not stretched to screen width - I'm clicking empty space on sides of tint panel) but I was hoping for more "elegant" solution.
    According to tint manual:
    "3.7 Mouse
    customize mouse action with : none, close, toggle, iconify, shade, toggle_iconify
    mouse_middle = none
    mouse_right = close
    mouse_scroll_up = toggle
    mouse_scroll_down = iconify"
    Why not just use the hotkey to bring up the openbox menu?
    Not being able to do everyday tasks efficiently with a mouse is a big no-no.
    Besides that, combo of OB + Tint + Trayer is great.

  • Multiple Line Charts with Column Chart

    I want to show two line charts with a column chart.  Everything goes on the screen fine, except the two line charts origination point always starts at the same point despite the numbers being different.  For example, the ls1 might read 280, 190, 180 and the ls2 is 175, 188, 177 but both origination points start at 280.  The other two datapoints should also be close together but they have a substantial gap of about 50 between them.  Obviosuly I want to have two separate lines.  I have also tried moving the line series below the first lines series with no success.

    Hi,
    Still Trying:
    I've now got this code to function:
    var i:int = 0;
                    for each (var cat:* in event.result.chart.categories.category){
                        //mx.controls.Alert.show(cat.label);
                        var z:int = 0;
                        for each (var valuee:* in event.result.chart.dataset){
                            //mx.controls.Alert.show(event.result.chart.dataset[z].seriesName);
                            //mx.controls.Alert.show(valuee.sete[i].value);
                            z++;
                        i++
    which works fine, how can I get in into Array to make a dataset for the flex charts?
    Thanks,

  • Working with column chart

    Hi ,
    I want to draw column chart with dataProvider as Array
    Collection .It is fine.But dataProvider Array collection has
    objects with type A and Type B.How can i draw chart with type A
    objects and TypeB objects seperately by switching from combo box
    control.
    Regards,

    Use a filter function on the array collection.
    myArrayCol.filterfunction = isTypeA;
    myArrayCol.refresh( );

  • Accordion Menu does not do proper job

    I am using an accordion menu to select data to display on a line chart. I manipulate some data with a spinner and the graph on the line chart does not change. If I move up a label and move down again then the graph has changed.
    If I replace the accordion menu with a list box, I am able to see changes on the line chart dynamicall when I increase or decrease values with the spinner. Thoughts? Many thanks!

    Anil,
    the source data area contains calculations that can be manipulated by the values entered in the spinner. Example: Some cells contain a conversion factor and other cells contain a simple weighting factor. The weighting and the conversion factor are incremented or decreased by the values in the spinner.
    Once this calculation is done I expect the accordion menu to write the data into row x again so that the update is displayed in the line chart. If you use a list box instead of an accordion menu it works and the line chart is updated every time I change the value in the spinner.
    In the accordion case it does not seem to be the case. When I change the spinner value I have to select another label and go back again to see the changes. I assume that the accordion menu then has written new values in row x.
    Does that make any sense? Regards, Frank

  • Spry Accordion Menu Tab Link css - totally confused

    Thanks folks from an l-plater but I've totally confused myself trying to work this out and I'm hoping some fresh eyes will see the answer clear as day.  I've created a spry accordion menu with links in the actual panel tabs.  Menu and links all working fine - problem is in css styling, particularly panel tab link open and hover states which should be blue text over green background, same as non-link panel tabs.  You'll see from code that I've tried a few styles but can't get this to work.  I'm thinking I've totally overdone it and some styles are overriding others and solution is a simple deletion of some unnecessary or conflicting styles.
    Thanks so much in advance for your help - I just can't see for looking any more though I'm sure it can't be hard.

    Yes Beth, you're right and I've corrected my css - I think - problem with AccordionPanelTab link open and hover states still happening so css still wrong.  I've uploaded site so you can see what's happening (www.11acu.org).  All tab states should be as per Photo Gallery, Newsletters and Forms.  Hover state in tab links seem okay until mouse moves away from "a href" block - rest of tab area not working so its like the two styles, ie "AccordionPanelTab" and "AccordionPanelTab a:hover" are both working at the same time but I only want the latter to work.  Now I've probably got you confused as well! lol Apologies!  Recreated css for tab links below.  Html same as in original post.  Any help much appreciated.

  • Accordion Menu & Firefox

    I am using Dreamweaver CS3 along with Spry 1.6.1
    I am using an accordion menu with 4 tabs and they transition
    fine in IE7 but in Firefox there is a problem. The menu works fine
    but it expands the site as if all 4 panels are open at one time.
    Then when I click on the accordion menu the site collapses back
    together.
    If I change the height under the .AccordionPanelContent class
    in the CSS file it helps but that affects the menu in IE if I do it
    that way.
    Any ideas why it would cause the web page to spread apart
    when first loaded up in Firefox?
    Thanks!

    Do you have a sample URL that demonstrates the problem?

    Thanks a lot. This web page gave some answers, but now I have
    a new problem:
    When I test my accordion menu in a normal html page
    everything works fine. When I put this accordion menu to my DW
    template it stops working. The result is that every accordion's
    panels are open!
    Why? Can you assist me?
    In template head I have this code:
    <link href="../SpryAssets/SpryAccordion.css"
    rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
    <script src="../SpryAssets/SpryAccordion.js"
    type="text/javascript"></script>

    <script type="text/javascript">
    var params = Spry.Utils.getLocationParamsAsObject();

    And in template end just before </body> tag I have this
    code:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    <!--
    var Accordion1 = new Spry.Widget.Accordion("Accordion1",
    {useFixedPanelHeights: false, defaultPanel: params.panel ?
    params.panel: 0});

  • Spry accordion menu

    Hello,
    I have a Spry Accordion menu with links inside the Accordion
    Panel Content. I’m trying to style them using CSS, but
    can’t figure out how. I tried this(below) but doesn’t
    work.
    #AccordionPanelContent a {
    font-size:9px;
    color:#FF6600;
    font-weight:bold;
    text-decoration:none;
    padding-left: 2px;
    padding-right:15px;
    Here's the HTML code:
    <div id="Accordion1" class="Accordion" tabindex="0">
    <div class="AccordionPanel">
    <div class="AccordionPanelTab">Places</div>
    <div class="AccordionPanelContent">

    <!--
    var Accordion1 = new Spry.Widget.Accordion("Accordion1");
    Thanks for any help on how to style these link,
    Dave

    Links are not coded into the CSS for the Accordian panel. You
    could add the lines in yourself.
    Here is what I would recommend. If you want the same link
    color regardless of where it is on the document, make another css
    document on your own, attach it to the document, and put the
    following in it:
    a:link {color: #FF0000}
    a:visited {color: #00FF00}
    a:hover {color: #FF00FF}
    a:active {color: #0000FF}
    That would just change the color of the links. Active and
    Link can be the same if you want even though this example does not
    show it. If you need something else, like underlining or bold, you
    could use the Reference Panel of DW or post here, and you could
    also check out this example:
    http://www.w3schools.com/css/tryit.asp?filename=trycss_link2
    This comes from a very good tutorial located at:
    http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp
    (the Hyperlink stuff is under "psuedo-class" under advanced on the
    left menu)
    Or if you just need this code to work on the panel only you
    would need to do this:
    #AccordianPanelContent a:active,
    #AccordianPanelContent a:link { CSS CODE HERE }
    #AccordianPanelContent a:visited { CSS CODE HERE }
    #AccordianPanelContent a:hover { CSS CODE HERE }
    Hope this helps some.

  • Help Creating Dynamic Stacked Column Chart with Multiple Criteria

    Hi all. Im new here and hoping you can help.  I have a dashboard Im trying to rebuild from scratch (our computer had a meltdown and we lost all our files). I did not build the dashboard initially so Im trying to recreate it from the flash file we were able to recover. I have come across a chart that I just cannot figure out how to do.  I can figure out how to write an array in the Excel sheet that pulls the data into a table the way I need it to be but found out after I wrote that that Xcelcius doesn't support arrays so all my data disappears when I go into preview mode (which is especially frustrating since I can see the chart working fine in design mode).  Anyway this is what the data table looks like

    The original chart was built so that you would choose the month from a combo box and then the company names would show up along the X axis with their % amounts shown in the stacked column.  I know how to make a combo box work and I know how to make a stacked column chart work with static data.  I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get it to work so that when you choose the month from the combo box it filters the data.  I've tried filtered rows but I'm just missing some information that makes it work and I can't figure out what that information is.  It has to be able to get the month/year combo from the combo box and then go to the table, filter it by month and year and then create a multi-row table of data with just the company and the percent values.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Which connection you are using?
    IF quite difficult if you are working under static data.
