Account error "already in use".

When adding an email address to messages settings, and the verify fails with the message "already in use", what are common reasons for this. This is an aol account, which works fine.

Hi thanks, yes this account set up is on an iPad, for receiving messages, but when I add it to an iPhone to get messages at the same time, this is when I get the message "already in use". This aol address, is not the same as my apple Id email address, on either address.

Its not clear calling useradd way of creating larger numbers of users.
But if you are going to user it, you're probably best off putting your own layer of locking around it.
Ie create a lockfile, or if already exists loop waiting for it to disappear...

No matter what I try when setting up an account for game center, I get the response that this account is already in use. I have tried several times to reset both my Apple ID and a password.

Have been having trouble trying to set up an account with game center. I have several times reset both my Apple ID and password using both of my email accounts. Each time I get a message saying that it is "already in use by another game center account", which I am sure is me, but I must have done something wrong in the initial set-up. Im trying to switch the Apple ID names around, and what i've learnt is that the Apple ID has to be an Email that isn't an Apple ID. Yup, it's messed alright.

Can't Create Account - Email Already in Use

I have my original SCN profile which is not linked to an S-Number. We then became an SAP partner, and I received an S-Number for this which is linked to the same email address as used in my original SCN profile. When I try to view restricted partner content, I need to log in with my S-User, but then it tries to create a new SCN profile for me and gives an error that the email address is already in use.
I then went to the original profile and changed my email address to another one. I then tried to create a profile for the S-Number, but it still says that the email address is in use.
I understand that you cannot merge profiles, but please let me know how I can get a seconds profile working that is linked to my S-Number?

N97 Homescreen Error - "already in use" but not ac...

Yesterday my N97 switched itself off and when it came on it would only show the menu screen and not the homescreen. If I try to access the homescreen it tells me "its already in use" and keeps diverting back to the menu screen.
All applications are working, along with texts and phone calls. Its just highly annoying.
This has occurred since the latest software update.
I have tried a factrory reset but this has not helped.
Can anyone advise?

Before attempting any other reset methods try these tips:
Whilst in the main menu go to Settings > Themes > General and change the theme to something else to see if that solves it.
If that fails try to think what widgets were on your homescreen (such as facebook or accuweather). Go to Settings > Application mgr > Installed apps now find those widgets and uninstall them if you can.
Reboot after trying each method.

Apple ID says my gmail account is already in use, but I didn't set it up?

I haven't used my Apple ID since I last had an iPhone over 2 years ago. Yesterday when I ordered my iPhone 6 I decided I wanted to create a new Apple ID, because I no longer use the email that I used to use. (I understand I can't merge the two accounts). However, I went to create my account and it said my email wasn't available. So I went out and just thought I would go and "reset" my password. However, I have yet to receive any email from Apple. My thinking is either the availability is incorrect or I just need the email to send.

I had a problem with my old Firefox Sync account (from work, using my work email address) and I would like to set up Sync again using my personal account. You should edit fhe existing resource from the resource center, check the option "the resource can connect to Project Server" and set a valid user account.

I want to change the GL Accounts of Transaction Key "FRN- Incidental costs of external activities " in Tcode OBYC with same as GL Account of Transaction Key "BSX - Inventory Posting".
When trying to change GL accounts for "FRN" Transaction Key, I am getting the below error.
Account 8201100 already used in transaction BSX
Message no. F4803
Diagnosis
Accounts used in transaction BSX (posting to asset balance sheet account) cannot be used in any other account determination. Account 8201100 (chart of accounts OSEL) is already being used in transaction BSX.
System Response

This is the Inventory GL account (assigned in BSX)
You can not assign this GL account to FRN
FRN use for ncidental costs of external activities, how can this be the Inventory account.
Check the nature of Account.
Create separate GL account for Expenses and assign in FRN

Sun would like your help with the "System Name Already In Use" error

A couple of users have reported getting an erroneous "System Name Already in Use" error when re-registering a system after a fresh Solaris re-install. We'd like your help in tracking down this problem.
The scenario is this:
* Install Solaris 10 and register with updatemanager,
* Wipe out the installation and re-install Solaris.
* re-register with updatemanager.
The system erroneously reports that the system name is already in use. It is supposed to detect a duplicate registration of the same system.
We have not been able to reproduce this error in our lab.
If this has happened to you, would you let us know at [email protected]?
Here are the things that we would like to ask of you:
* If you run "updatemanager -debug" if will create a log file /tmp/basicreg<timestamp>.log.
* Details on the exact hardware you have (make/model/configuration).
* Details on the steps you took to get to the bad state. REALLY detailed!

Based on what we know now, we believe you can work around the issue by either:
* Changing the host name and re-registering.
* Creating a different user account and registering the host to that account.
Some previously-posted workarounds are known NOT to work:
* Wait 24 hours and try again.
* Do some "ccr" incantations and try again.

Mail for Exchange already in use error when sendin...

We have a number of Nokia E50-1 on Vodafone network which we are using Mail for Exchange 2.5.3 (mfe) to sync emails with a microsoft Small Business Server 2003 (SBS2003). When we try to reply or send a new email from the E50 we get the error "Mail for Exchange: Already in use". This happens even if the sync is set to manual and email is set to send with next sync. Very ocassionally a message will go if we keep retrying.
Does anyone know how to resolve this?

great forums, hopefully someone has some more info on this, as i am getting the same issue.
I had mail for exchange working with my e71 no worries and then i added my home TPG account. the TPG account would not work for some reason, not that it overtly worried me, but then when i tried sending mail through exchange (either reply or new mail) i get the error message 'Mail for exchange: already in use'
I have removed the TPG account, rebooted the thing several times, all sorts of stuff - nothing seems to work. it is still syncing and i am receiving email, i just can't send...!!
any troubleshooting tips or further info would be greatly appreciated

Assumption : My assumption is, the debiting stock accout at the time of GR is CREDITED while issuing goods for production through MB1A. But getting above error while mapping.
Is there any other logic behind mapping ? I gone through the threads from SDN itself I got some idea about GI. The accounting entries which are posted are like as below :

Does this mean while issuing goods we should not use BSX STOCK account in GBB ?   In above entry are these P & L account or Balance sheet account ?
