Dear mayank,
Kindly check the partner determination once again whether your Account group has been assigned to PY, SH, BP. sometimes only for SP, the account group gets copied.

  • GL Account Hierarchy related issue

    Hi BI gurus,
    The Scenario is like this:-
We are doing reporting for Profit&Loss based on GL Account Hierarchy (0GL_ACCOUNT).
The GL Hierarchy have Asset & Liability nodes.
The problem is that, in BW, regardless of credit or debit values, it will just display the report the same values on both nodes. so certain GL accounts (e.g. Cash Loan) would appear both side of the hierarchy - Asset node and Liability node.
Is there a way to make it so when we do reporting based on Hierarchy, when the value's Credit, shows on "Asset Node", and Value's Debit will shows on "Liability node"?
    Any advice is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Vince

Thanks for the info Yiannis, but I think I've found out the theory for this.
    According to this [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/04/7b95fb42b0f94aba334c0890dbbda4/content.htm|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/04/7b95fb42b0f94aba334c0890dbbda4/content.htm]
I have read through it, not fully understand how this works yet, but I think should be able to use the following:-
    1. InfoObject 0GLACCEXT (instead of 0GL_ACCOUNT)
The exception aggregation (balance sheet aggregation) that is in effect here is only possible for the Financial Statement Item characteristic (technical name 0GLACCEXT). The hierarchy table for this characteristic contains a special attribute called Balance-Dependency of a Hierarchy Node (technical name 0BAL_DEPEND), which controls the balance sheet aggregation of the Financial Statement Item characteristic.
    2. Virtual InfoCube  0FIGL_VC1 (will read data from 0FIGL_C01).
    3. There is a balance sheet query available 0FIGL_VC1_Q0001, which displays the balance sheet data the same way as the R/3 report RFBILA00 does.

  • Post Goods Issue Accounting Entry & Profit Center Updation???

    Dear All,
At the time of Post Goods issue it generates an accountng entry.
we are getting an error related to Profit center.
we maintained profit center in the sales order. and please clarify me can we create cost element for COGS account which hits at this level.
I am getting the following errror.
Balancing field "Profit Center" in line item 001 not filled
    Message no. GLT2201
    Diagnosis
The field Profit Center marked as balancing is not filled with any value in line item 001, even after document splitting.
    System Response
    The document cannot be posted.
    Procedure
    First check your entries.
    Additional causes could be:
No value can be derived for this field from the current document data.
You have entered a document type that is not designed for this business purpose.
    Procedure for System Administration
    Customizing
But we need profit cener wise balance sheet.
    so please guide me.
    regards,
    shashi kanth.

If you define document splitting criteria based on Profit Center and if your document contains multiple line items with different profit center, this type of error will come.
To check this, Go to IMG Path -- Financial Accounting (New) --> General Ledger Accounting (New) --> Document Splitting --> Define Document Splitting Characteristics for General Ledger
There check whether the mandatory check box is selected for profit Center.  So check in your delivery document, whether any line item does not have profit center.
You can also have a look at any of the following notes

  • STO - JEX invoice getting created without Post goods issue of delivery

    Dear Experts,
We have configured the "Stock Transport Purchase Order" process between 2 different plants within same company code. To satify the Indian legal process, after PGI issue we configured the process as "Proforma" invoice creation using Billing type ZJEX (Copy of JEX). And then Excise Invoice creation using J1IIN.
Now problem we are facing is, without "Post Goods Issue" of delivery ZNL also system is allowing to create the invoice using ZJEX type. We are using the standard NLN item category only. But our requirement is, without "Post goods issue" system should not allow to create the sales invoice.
Can anybody give your suggestion on this issue.
    Thank u
    Regards,
    Nag

    Dear Experts,
Thanks for your feedback. As per your suggestion i modified the copying requirement in to "034". But during invoice creation i am getting the message that "The item is not relevant for billing". So not successful.

  • Accounting Document not generated after Post goods issue in delivery order.

    Dear Experts
    Greeting of the daays,
Need your help on below issue.
After making the post goods issue ,the system is not making the accounting document.
The error given by the system is as follows:
Material document 12365 does not include an accounting document
    Diagnosis
The system cannot find an accounting document for the material document 12365.
    Possible reasons for this are:
The goods movement has no relevance to accounting. Therefore, the system did not generate an accounting document for the material document.
The material document is a document that was posted before Release 2.1. Such documents must be converted so that the system can find the relevant accounting document.
The procedure for the subsequent calculation of value is not active in your system. For further information, refer to the documentation on the program for valuating goods movements: RM07MWBU.
__Solution what I tried to solve this issue ,but not successful.__
    __Solution 1- maintain OMS2__
__Solution 2 - maintain OMJJ- movement type 601 - PRCTR is required entry.__
__Solution 3 - price maintain is material master.__
    __Solution 4 - OBYC - BSX - 7920 - GLA/c  and GBB- VAX and VAY - 7920 GLA/c.__
__Pls let me know if there is any confirgation is missing.__

    Hi
    Do this checks:
In tcode OBYC check if you have the proper entries.
Go to tcode OKB9 and do the settings for the G/L acc. that you have in OBYC.
To populate PRCTR you can use OKB9 and you can check if you have values in MARC-PRCTR.
    I hope this helps you

  • Post Goods issue showing wrong accounting figures

    Dear Friends,
I have received a query where there is one sales order with many line item. Delivery is broken up into pieces and so is billing. When I go to the deliver -post goods issue and check for the accounting document for the first delivery, it shows for accounting document figures perfectly fine but when I go to the second delivery - post goods issue, the accounting document generated figures are vague. The figures which should be in lacs are reflected in crores in the accounting document in the Post goods issue.
The Price Control in the Material is Moving Average Price
The pricing procedure does not show anything wrong in the Sales Document.
Kindly suggest me a solution to this problem. This is a very critical issue as the figures are in huge numbers.
    Regards
    Vineet Jain

    Dear Vineet
Really this is a strange problem which should not happen.  Please confirm whether you are facing this issue in all subsequent deliveries or only for that particular sale order.  If it is only for that particular sale order, then I feel, you need to refer to SAP.
Meanwhile, you can cross check the value as follows:-
Go to MB51, give the material code which has got issue, input plant and movement type and execute.  A list will be displayed where press +"Cntrl + Shift + F12"+ so that the system will take you to a screen where for that particular material code and movement type, a detailed analysis will flow with delivery reference.  In the same screen, there is a field "Amount in LC".  Divide this value with despatched quantity and see whether the value here is flowing correctly (ie.it is picking the moving average price) by comparing with material master Accounting1 view.
    thanks

    THIRD PARTY SCENARIO
In third-party order processing, your company does not deliver the items requested by a customer. Instead, you pass the order along to a third-party vendor who then ships the goods directly to the customer and bills you. A sales order may consist partly or wholly of third-party items. Occasionally, you may need to let a vendor deliver items you would normally deliver yourself.
    Process Flow
The processing of third-party orders is controlled via material types. Material types define whether a material is produced only internally, can be ordered only from third-party vendors, or whether both are possible. For example, a material that is defined as a trading good can only be ordered from a third-party vendor. However, if you manufacture your own finished products, you may also want, from time to time, to be able to order the same type of product from other vendors.
    Processing Third-Party Orders in Sales
Third-party items can be created automatically by the system, depending on how your system is set. However, you can also change a standard item to a third-party item during sales processing manually.
    Automatic third-party order processing
If a material is always delivered from one or more third-party vendors, you can specify in the material master that the material is a third-party item. During subsequent sales order processing, the system automatically determines the appropriate item category for a third-party item: TAS. To specify a material as a third-party item, enter BANS in the Item category group field in the Sales 2 screen of the material master record.
    Manual third-party order processing
In the case of a material that you normally deliver yourself but occasionally need to order from a third-party vendor, you can overwrite the item category during sales order processing. For a material that you normally deliver yourself, you specify the item category group NORM in the material master.
If, as an exception, you use a third-party material, change the entry TAN to TAS in the ItCa field when processing the sales document. The item is then processed as third-party item.
If address data for the ship-to party is changed in the sales order in third-party business transactions, the changed data will automatically be passed on to purchase requisition and also to the purchase order ,if one already exists. In the purchase order, you can display the address data for the ship-to party in the attributes for the item.
You can only change the address data for the ship-to party in the sales order for third-party business transactions, and not in the purchase order.
    Processing Third-Party Orders in Purchasing
When you save a sales order that contains one or more third-party items, the system automatically creates a purchase requisition in Purchasing. Each third-party item in a sales order automatically generates a corresponding purchase requisition item. During creation of the requisition, the system automatically determines a vendor for each requisition item. If a sales order item has more than one schedule line, the system creates a purchase requisition item for each schedule line.
Purchase orders are created from purchase requisitions in the usual way. For more information about creating purchase orders, see the Purchasing documentation. During creation of the purchase order, the system automatically copies the delivery address of your customer from the corresponding sales order. In a sales order, you can enter purchase order texts for each third-party item. When you create the corresponding purchase order, the texts are automatically copied into the purchase order. The number of the purchase order appears in the document flow information of the sales order.
All changes made in the purchase order are automatically made in the sales order as well. For example, if the vendor confirms quantities and delivery dates different from those you request and enters them in the purchase order, the revised data is automatically copied into the sales order
You process third-party items by creating a normal sales order. In overview for the order, you can then overwrite the default item category (TAN in the standard system) with the special item category for third-party items: TAS
    Billing Third-Party Orders
If relevance for billing indicator for the item category has been set to B (relevant for order-related billing on the basis of the order quantity) in Customizing, the system includes the order in the billing due list immediately. If, however, the indicator has been set to F (relevant to order-related billing on the basis of the invoice quantity), the system does not include the order in the billing due list until an invoice from the vendor has been received and processed by the purchasing department. In the standard system, item category TAS (third-party order processing) has been given billing-relevance indicator F.
In the first case, the third-party order is considered to be completely billed only when the invoiced quantity equals the order quantity of the sales order item. In the second case, each time a vendor invoice is received, a customer invoice is created for the quantity in the vendor invoice and the order is considered to be fully invoiced until the next vendor invoice is received.
If you have activated billing-relevance indicator F for item categories in Customizing, billing can refer to the goods receipt quantity instead of the incoming invoice quantity.
You can control whether the invoice receipt quantity or the quantity of goods received is relevant for billing in Customizing for copying control for billing at item level.
FOR YOUR PROCESS Individual Purchase Orders WELL GIVE THE RIGHT SOLUTION
Individual purchase orders are used when your customer orders goods from you that are not in stock and must be ordered from one or more external vendors.
    Process Flow
During sales order entry, the system automatically creates a purchase requisition item. The purchasing department creates a purchase order based on the requisition and the vendor ships the goods directly to you (unlike third party order processing, where the vendor ships directly to your customer). You then ship the goods to your customer. While the goods are part of your inventory, you manage them as part of the sales order stock. Sales order stock consists of stock that is assigned to specific sales orders and cannot be used for other purposes.
Goods receipt will be posted when ever the vendor ships the goods to our customer.
We will do this transaction in SAP using MIGO.
Invoice receipt is done when the Vendor sends us the invoice.. ( I.e Billing ).
It can be done using MIRO.
THe above two steps are standard and manual. There are many other ways that the actual process can happen. If the client follows EDI standards then the Goods receipt and Invoice receipt can be done through IDOCs automatically.
Process Flow for 3rd Party Sales
Customize the third party sales in summary:
    Prerequisites for 3rd party sales,
    Purchasing org,
    purchasing group,
assign the Purchase org to company code
    assign Purchase org to plant,
should not maintain the stock in material, it should be trading goods,
    1. Create Vendor XK01
    2. Create Material – Material Type as "Trading Goods". Item category group as "BANS".
    3. Assign Item Category TAS to Order type that you are going to use.
    4. A sale order is created and when saved a PR is generated at the background
    5. With reference to SO a PO is created (ME21N). The company raises PO to the vendor.
    6. Vendor delivers the goods and raises bill to company. MM receives the invoice MIRO
    7. Goods receipt MIGO
    8. Goods issue
    9. The item cat TAS or Schedule line cat CS is not relevant for delivery which is evident from the config and, therefore, there is no delivery process attached in the whole process of Third party sales.

Third party order processing is as follows:
    Assume three companies X, Y and Z
    X - The company,
    y - The customer
    Z - Vendor
When ever X gets a PO from Y to supply some goods, X has an option of either manufacturing those goods or procuring those goods.
If he is procuring the goods, there are two methods that are generally followed:
Method 1) After receiving the PO from Y, X creates a sales order against Y.
Now at the same time he also creates a PO to a vendor Z to produce the goods
Z produces the goods and supplies to X
X receives the goods from Z
Then X delivers the same goods to Y.
    After that X invoices Y and Z invoices X.
Note : Here there is no direct/ Indirect relation between Z and Y.
This process is known as Trading Process. and the Material here is created with Material type HAWA.
The other method is a Third party order processing method:
Here the glaring difference is that instead of Z supplying the material to X and X in turn supplying the same material to Y.
X authorizes Z to supply the material to Y on his behalf and notify him once the delivery is complete.
Now Z supplies the material to Y and acknowledges the same to X.
Z will send a copy of delivery acknowledgement and invoice to X.
After receiving the delivery confirmation and invoice from Z, X has to verify the invoice and this process is known as invoice verification and is done in SAP through Tcode MIRO.
The next step for X is to create an invoice and submit to Y
Only after the invoice verification document is posted then only X can create an invoice for Y.
This is the business flow that is followed for third party order configuration.
There are few steps that have to be configured to enable the system to function as mentioned above.
    Step1)
If you are always following a third party process for a material then you have to create the material using item category group BANS.
The procurement type should be marked as External procurement (F) in MRP 2 view of the material master record.
if you are not always allowing third party order processing then u can create a material master record with item category group as NORM and the procurement type should be marked as ( X) meaning both types of procurement ( in house manufacturing and external procurement).
    Step 2)
the item category in the order should be manually changed as TAS.
For that you need to configure the item category determination
Order type + item cat Group + Usage + High level = Item cat + Manual item cat
    OR + NORM + + = TAN + TAS
    OR + BANS + + = TAS
    Step 3)
make sure that during the item category configuration for TAS you need to mark relevant for billing indicator as F
    step 4)
The schedule line category for this type should be CS.
make sure that you mark subsequent type as NB - purchase requisition in this schedule line category as this will trigger the purchase requisition order immediately after the creation of the sales order and the PO to vendor is created against this purchase requisition.

  • COPA document not generated when Post Goods Issue is reversed.

    Hello Friends,
WE uses Stock Transport Order in two steps for transfering Stock from one plant to another.  We have defined a Condition type FRB1 to capture the Freight cost involved in the stock transfer.
When the Post goods issue is done for the Stock Transport Order. following Accounting documents are generated.
    Accounting
    Profit Center
    COPA
    Spec. Purpose Ledger
    Controlling Document
    Material Ledger document.
But When the Post goods issue is reversed through transaction code VL09 all the above documents are generated except for COPA document. Though in controlling document it shows the object type hit is REO i.e profitability Analysis
For further information we have mapped cost element (600150) with Value field in PA transfer structure (Direct assignment from FI and MM. Movement type used for PGI are 641 & 642.
    Thank you

    Dear Colleagues
I thank all those who put in thier time and efforts for possible solution for my problem. But I could resolve this issue with help from SAP.
Basically in costing based COPA the system does not post the cost of goods sold to COPA during goods issue but it is done at the time of posting the invoice since the system wants to see the revenues and the COGS values together.
Since the system posts the COGS into COPA at the time of invoice posting, you will appreciate that if this is also done during goods
issue then you will have duplicate entries in your COPA (i.e. the COGS will be doubled).
If in transaction VL01N/VL02N a costing-based line item would be posted, the costs would be double in CO-PA (the billing and goods issue). For this reason, no costing based line items will be created in the standard R/3 system for transaction VL01N/VL02N.
If for some reason you still wish to post the COGS to COPA during goods issue you have to do the same thro a modification of the system. In your case you have applied note 214381 for the same. Please note here that movement type '641' is used as an example. For other movement types you will need to code accordingly.
as per note 337488 point 2. the changes of note 214381 were not required in our case. Therefore we reverted these changes in LKEIIF01 and added the relevant coding for movement type 642 in function COPA_DOCUMENT_CHECK as per note 337488 point 2.
Looking forward for your continued support

  • Post goods issue

    hi
if a order is created for a material 'X' for quantity=50.while delivering the order in VL01N if the delivering and picking qty is given 40 and a post goods issue is done after that in VL02N if we change the delivering and picking qty to 50 and do the post goods issue  thn
1-the accounting document will be generated for qty 40 and thn an addition of 10 so the total of 50 or 40+50=90 qty.

  • G/L accounts in Goods Issue

    Dear,
can any one tell about the G/L accouts automatic generation .
ie if I do the goods issue ,  how the folowing G/L acoounts are generated automatically.....one for Cost centre , 2 nd one for Production ..and
What is mean by Valuation Modifier or Account Modifier  --use ?
and Which Transaction key to be used...
    Thanks
    Roshan

    Hi Roshan,
Postings are made to G/L accounts automatically in the case of Invoice Verification and Inventory Management transactions relevant to Financial and Cost Accounting.
    Example:
Posting lines are created in the following accounts in the case of a goods issue for a cost center:
    Stock account
    Consumption account
Posting transactions are predefined for those inventory management and invoice verification transactions relevant to accounting. Posting records, which are generalized in the value string, are assigned to each relevant movement type in inventory management and each transaction in invoice verification. These contain keys for the relevant posting transaction (for example, inventory posting and consumption posting) instead of actual G/L account numbers.
You do not have to define these transaction keys, they are determined automatically from the transaction (invoice verification) or the movement type (inventory management). All you have to do is assign the relevant G/L account to each posting transaction. If you need a different account then use the valuation modifier .

  • Account assignment of the incoming invoice and the purchase order

    Hi,
I am trying to control the account assignment of an incoming invoice against the account assignment of the purchase order used. The link I found is the field ZEKKN. I think RBCO-ZEKKN tells me what account assignment of the purchase order (EKKN-ZEKKN) I am using (just as RSEG-EBELN and RSEG-EBELP help to point the item of the PO used in the invoice). This link is working pretty well in 99% of my Pos and invoices. But sometimes when I create an assignment line in the PO, this line is created with a key EBELN, EBELP, ZEKKN = ‘02’, even if any assignment was created wit an ZEKKN = ‘01’.
In this case, when I park an invoice on this PO, the value of RBCO-ZEKKN is ‘01’ and not ‘02’ as in the table EKKN.
It is very annoying because the control I implement blocks the posting of the invoice..
Any idea or any new link between tables RBCO and EKKN will be very appreciable.
    Thanks in advance
