Hi Suresh,
Thank you for your kind response.
I've checked OB31 and found no entries. I've used tcode: SU21 and SU22 to chec the affected tcode: FD01 .
I've also checked and analyzed authorization object F_KNA1_AEN and have configured a dummry role for testing in QAS.
Authorization package in the dummy role:
-> Maintained Customer: Change Authorization for Certain Fields            F_KNA1_AEN
->  Maintained Customer: Change Authorization for Certain Fields            T-QS25298300
->   Field group                VGRUP
For Field group (VGRUP), I'm able to define the "Object Type": D for Customers, but I do not know what is the value for "Field Group"
Please kindly advice how can this be done.
Thank you.
Cheers.

It's a good start.  I think the best method in creating roles is to create the name myself and add the t-codes pertaining to that function such as cash application and credit.
I have a list of t-codes (it says all FI transactions) but I don't see credit management t-codes like FD32.  Does anyone have a list of credit management t-codes?

Tax gets calculated based on the rules setup. At lease default values of attributes like applicability, registration, POS etc are provided once the tax setup is done.
Please check the rules that are setup in Tax Managers to ensure which tax is getting calculated.
If you do not want tax to be calculated unless a TCC is supplied by user, you can setup a default tax with rate as zero which will be deafulted evrytime without TCC.
For rest of the cases where a TCC will be entered, you can setup up Determining Factor Sets, Condition Sets and then create rules using them for appropriate tax calculations.

    Hi Fjtorsol,
We hope your issue has been resolved, if you've found solution by yourself. you could share with us and we will mark it as answer.
This high Deferred Procedure Call (DPC) latencies are usually caused by certain drivers, if it is caused by automatic maintenance, please re-check your task schedule which is marked as “when computer is idle”. As what has been suggested by MVP ZigZag, please
use the Microsoft Windows Performance Analyzer from the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK) to identify the cause of any DPC latency spikes.
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=39982
DPC CPU Usage Summary Table will open containing a list of drivers/program. This list is already correctly sorted (by the Actual Duration column). The process on the very top of the list is therefore likely to be the cause of your problem.

  • Account Receivable Factoring/Pledging Process

    Hi SAP guru,
We are implementing a Factoring solution in SAP ECC6.0 and would like anyoen of you to share the knowledge around SAP standard solution
    - What functionality does Pledging indicator/Procedure do?
    - What would be the Business Process?
    - How would the system handle the factoring fee?
    - If any documentation available, please share with us.
I would appreciate it if you could provide more of your expertise.
    taro

In SAP, the term used for Factoring is Pledging.
You have to first activate the Pledging Procedure per Co. Code, by following the path: Financial Accounting Global Settings -> Company Code  -> Activate Accounts Receivable Factoring Procedure per Company Code.
After that, navigate to Accounts Receivable and  Accounts Payable -> Customer accounts -> Master Records ->  Preparations for Creating Customer Master Records -> Define Accounts Receivable Factoring Indicator to define your pledging indicators.
Be sure to read the IMG notes at these nodes. Also, check out this page:

  • Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable

    Hello,
Could any one provide me more information about Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable.
Is it possible to use Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable without CRM (Customer Relationship management)?
Is it necessary integration with another modul (SD for example)?
Is this functionallity suitable for our case: a company that lets (rents) land (terrains); The company (our client) have several customers (about 10) and needs information abour rent contracts (lease contracts) in SAP.
    We need the simplest decision
    Thanks

    Hi,
As a result of the high number of customers and invoices, utilities companies must create a large number of payment demands. To prevent you from having to enter this mass data in general ledger accounting, sub-ledger accounting has been integrated into FI-CA: Accounts receivable and payable. Contract accounts receivable and payable is specially designed to process mass data. At certain intervals, the system transfers the cumulated individual bookings to the general ledger in Financial Accounting (FI). You can also transfer sales or service invoices from the Sales and Distribution (SD) component to contract accounts receivable and payable. The goal of contract accounts receivable and payable is to automate all processes. Manual intervention is only necessary if an agentu2019s decision is required.
It is different from costing topics.
    Hope this helps.

  • Which custom. steps for "Accounts Receivable Pledging Indicator" (KNB1)?

    Hi All,
Could anyone show me the customizing steps to set the "Accounts Receivable Pledging Indicator" (KNB1-CESSION_KZ)?
    Thanks
    Galdalf

    Hi ,
Pledging indicator is basically used in the Accounts Receivable Factoring Process. Factoring is the process of the transfer of a receivable from the previous creditor (assignor) to a new creditor (assignee).
The Menu Path for creating the Pledging indicator is as below:
Financial Accounting > Accouts Receivable and Accounts Payable> Customer Account > Master Data > Preperation for creating master data > Define Accounts Receivable Pledging Indocator
This indicates in the master record that a customer should be involved in the accounts receivable factoring procedure. The indicator is automatically transferred to the line item during posting but can also be entered manually.
Also you can refer to the thread  A/R Functionality in SAP for more details of the process.
    Hope it helps

    THIRD PARTY SCENARIO
In third-party order processing, your company does not deliver the items requested by a customer. Instead, you pass the order along to a third-party vendor who then ships the goods directly to the customer and bills you. A sales order may consist partly or wholly of third-party items. Occasionally, you may need to let a vendor deliver items you would normally deliver yourself.
    Process Flow
The processing of third-party orders is controlled via material types. Material types define whether a material is produced only internally, can be ordered only from third-party vendors, or whether both are possible. For example, a material that is defined as a trading good can only be ordered from a third-party vendor. However, if you manufacture your own finished products, you may also want, from time to time, to be able to order the same type of product from other vendors.
    Processing Third-Party Orders in Sales
Third-party items can be created automatically by the system, depending on how your system is set. However, you can also change a standard item to a third-party item during sales processing manually.
    Automatic third-party order processing
If a material is always delivered from one or more third-party vendors, you can specify in the material master that the material is a third-party item. During subsequent sales order processing, the system automatically determines the appropriate item category for a third-party item: TAS. To specify a material as a third-party item, enter BANS in the Item category group field in the Sales 2 screen of the material master record.
    Manual third-party order processing
In the case of a material that you normally deliver yourself but occasionally need to order from a third-party vendor, you can overwrite the item category during sales order processing. For a material that you normally deliver yourself, you specify the item category group NORM in the material master.
If, as an exception, you use a third-party material, change the entry TAN to TAS in the ItCa field when processing the sales document. The item is then processed as third-party item.
If address data for the ship-to party is changed in the sales order in third-party business transactions, the changed data will automatically be passed on to purchase requisition and also to the purchase order ,if one already exists. In the purchase order, you can display the address data for the ship-to party in the attributes for the item.
You can only change the address data for the ship-to party in the sales order for third-party business transactions, and not in the purchase order.
    Processing Third-Party Orders in Purchasing
When you save a sales order that contains one or more third-party items, the system automatically creates a purchase requisition in Purchasing. Each third-party item in a sales order automatically generates a corresponding purchase requisition item. During creation of the requisition, the system automatically determines a vendor for each requisition item. If a sales order item has more than one schedule line, the system creates a purchase requisition item for each schedule line.
Purchase orders are created from purchase requisitions in the usual way. For more information about creating purchase orders, see the Purchasing documentation. During creation of the purchase order, the system automatically copies the delivery address of your customer from the corresponding sales order. In a sales order, you can enter purchase order texts for each third-party item. When you create the corresponding purchase order, the texts are automatically copied into the purchase order. The number of the purchase order appears in the document flow information of the sales order.
All changes made in the purchase order are automatically made in the sales order as well. For example, if the vendor confirms quantities and delivery dates different from those you request and enters them in the purchase order, the revised data is automatically copied into the sales order
You process third-party items by creating a normal sales order. In overview for the order, you can then overwrite the default item category (TAN in the standard system) with the special item category for third-party items: TAS
    Billing Third-Party Orders
If relevance for billing indicator for the item category has been set to B (relevant for order-related billing on the basis of the order quantity) in Customizing, the system includes the order in the billing due list immediately. If, however, the indicator has been set to F (relevant to order-related billing on the basis of the invoice quantity), the system does not include the order in the billing due list until an invoice from the vendor has been received and processed by the purchasing department. In the standard system, item category TAS (third-party order processing) has been given billing-relevance indicator F.
In the first case, the third-party order is considered to be completely billed only when the invoiced quantity equals the order quantity of the sales order item. In the second case, each time a vendor invoice is received, a customer invoice is created for the quantity in the vendor invoice and the order is considered to be fully invoiced until the next vendor invoice is received.
If you have activated billing-relevance indicator F for item categories in Customizing, billing can refer to the goods receipt quantity instead of the incoming invoice quantity.
You can control whether the invoice receipt quantity or the quantity of goods received is relevant for billing in Customizing for copying control for billing at item level.
FOR YOUR PROCESS Individual Purchase Orders WELL GIVE THE RIGHT SOLUTION
Individual purchase orders are used when your customer orders goods from you that are not in stock and must be ordered from one or more external vendors.
    Process Flow
During sales order entry, the system automatically creates a purchase requisition item. The purchasing department creates a purchase order based on the requisition and the vendor ships the goods directly to you (unlike third party order processing, where the vendor ships directly to your customer). You then ship the goods to your customer. While the goods are part of your inventory, you manage them as part of the sales order stock. Sales order stock consists of stock that is assigned to specific sales orders and cannot be used for other purposes.
Goods receipt will be posted when ever the vendor ships the goods to our customer.
We will do this transaction in SAP using MIGO.
Invoice receipt is done when the Vendor sends us the invoice.. ( I.e Billing ).
It can be done using MIRO.
THe above two steps are standard and manual. There are many other ways that the actual process can happen. If the client follows EDI standards then the Goods receipt and Invoice receipt can be done through IDOCs automatically.
Process Flow for 3rd Party Sales
Customize the third party sales in summary:
    Prerequisites for 3rd party sales,
    Purchasing org,
    purchasing group,
assign the Purchase org to company code
    assign Purchase org to plant,
should not maintain the stock in material, it should be trading goods,
    1. Create Vendor XK01
    2. Create Material – Material Type as "Trading Goods". Item category group as "BANS".
    3. Assign Item Category TAS to Order type that you are going to use.
    4. A sale order is created and when saved a PR is generated at the background
    5. With reference to SO a PO is created (ME21N). The company raises PO to the vendor.
    6. Vendor delivers the goods and raises bill to company. MM receives the invoice MIRO
    7. Goods receipt MIGO
    8. Goods issue
    9. The item cat TAS or Schedule line cat CS is not relevant for delivery which is evident from the config and, therefore, there is no delivery process attached in the whole process of Third party sales.

Third party order processing is as follows:
    Assume three companies X, Y and Z
    X - The company,
    y - The customer
    Z - Vendor
When ever X gets a PO from Y to supply some goods, X has an option of either manufacturing those goods or procuring those goods.
If he is procuring the goods, there are two methods that are generally followed:
Method 1) After receiving the PO from Y, X creates a sales order against Y.
Now at the same time he also creates a PO to a vendor Z to produce the goods
Z produces the goods and supplies to X
X receives the goods from Z
Then X delivers the same goods to Y.
    After that X invoices Y and Z invoices X.
Note : Here there is no direct/ Indirect relation between Z and Y.
This process is known as Trading Process. and the Material here is created with Material type HAWA.
The other method is a Third party order processing method:
Here the glaring difference is that instead of Z supplying the material to X and X in turn supplying the same material to Y.
X authorizes Z to supply the material to Y on his behalf and notify him once the delivery is complete.
Now Z supplies the material to Y and acknowledges the same to X.
Z will send a copy of delivery acknowledgement and invoice to X.
After receiving the delivery confirmation and invoice from Z, X has to verify the invoice and this process is known as invoice verification and is done in SAP through Tcode MIRO.
The next step for X is to create an invoice and submit to Y
Only after the invoice verification document is posted then only X can create an invoice for Y.
This is the business flow that is followed for third party order configuration.
There are few steps that have to be configured to enable the system to function as mentioned above.
    Step1)
If you are always following a third party process for a material then you have to create the material using item category group BANS.
The procurement type should be marked as External procurement (F) in MRP 2 view of the material master record.
if you are not always allowing third party order processing then u can create a material master record with item category group as NORM and the procurement type should be marked as ( X) meaning both types of procurement ( in house manufacturing and external procurement).
    Step 2)
the item category in the order should be manually changed as TAS.
For that you need to configure the item category determination
Order type + item cat Group + Usage + High level = Item cat + Manual item cat
    OR + NORM + + = TAN + TAS
    OR + BANS + + = TAS
    Step 3)
make sure that during the item category configuration for TAS you need to mark relevant for billing indicator as F
    step 4)
The schedule line category for this type should be CS.
make sure that you mark subsequent type as NB - purchase requisition in this schedule line category as this will trigger the purchase requisition order immediately after the creation of the sales order and the PO to vendor is created against this purchase requisition.

  • Are 'read only' items causing my automatic row processing to fail?

I have a form that uses automatic row processing to update my table.
I recently had to add a check to lock down the fields using the read only condition where a record has been 'approved'. So, I turned off all of the fields and hid the update button.
Now they want me to check to see if the user is a manager, and if so, allow them to see the update button, and make a single field on the form modifiable.
I have the user identified as a manager, and can make the field accept the change (a yes/no combo box). Yet when they click the update button, the form just sits there. A branch is supposed to fire on hitting that button, taking them back to the previous report, but it doesn't happen. The source of the combo box in question uses a column on the table, and works fine when the form has all of the fields showing for modification.
I had some validations that I finally set to never fire, thinking that they were failing and just not giving the error messages. I know a bad sql or pl/sql atatement in a validation will cause the form to just keep sitting there doing nothing, and thought it might help.
Several of the various fields are combo boxes, several are text boxes.
    I'm stumped.
Shall I keep the regular update button hidden whether it is a manager or not (because it has been 'approved'), and enable a new button that fires off a process to update the one field that the manager may want to change? Does making a field 'read only' always have a detrimental effect on the auto processes I've been counting on? Is that if fact what is happening now?
Thanks in advance for any advice or comments on this.
    Clayton

    Hi, Scott.
    My version is 3.0.0.00.20
I have received info to set up the application, though I have not activated it as yet. I'm reluctant to try to load up the various tables to make it work. It could be done.
My workaround is to that the user (a manager) fires off to another form to show an individual record, and ask if he/she really wants to make this change. On submit, they will be taken back to the original locked down form, and I will update the single field in that process of returning them. This will actually be a plus, in that I expect to show them all of the 'duplicate' entries for that item, and show them that by 'activating' this particular item, they will 'deactivate' the one duplicate that is currently active. Or, if they are deactivating the sole item that is active, that there will in fact be no active items in the system. Convoluted as heck, but they swear this is how they've been doing business with their briefcases and file cabinets of Excel files. I'm surprise they even float at this point (these are ships we're talking about).
This all may be due to the form originally having a next/previous/count process once arrived at my clicking on the edit button of the report of items. All of that has been hidden away, and though the fields exist of the form, they are not used. They only see the current item that they clicked on from the report.
I read up a little on session state, as well as posts with the debug error I was getting. I'm still not on board with the whole issue of 'state'. Items stay as they are until they're changed, no? I suppose that sounds simplistic.
One of the things that caught my eye was several combo box lists that on read only mode, showed [] square brackets. Which, in some cases is okay.
What I'll try to do is set up a public application - for future use if nothing else. I'm going to be working on this for awhile. I have more than a bit of work to do to cleanse the data as well as get rid of the single sign on requirement (I'll assume that I should have to do this) in order to share the app.
I know you're expecting me to have this up and running for you to look at, but I'm under the gun. And they actually like my workaround.
I'll keep everybody informed, one way or another.

  • Posting to Accounts Receivable using WPUBON, when WPUBON contains tenders

    Hi all!
My client has some special requirements when invoicing specific customers in SAP ERP using WPUBON from POS DM.
They want accounts receivable to be involved, even though the WPUBON idoc have all tenders/means of payment that is required to pay for the sales in same POS transaction. (Balanced invoice with as much tenders as sales).
What seems to be SAP standard, is that a WPUBON without tenders, will post to accounts receivable.
If the WPUBON idoc includes some tenders, but not sufficiently to pay for all sales in same idoc, the tender amount will post to a balance account, while the remaining sales amount (after deducting the available tenders) are posted to the accounts receivable.
If the WPUBON idoc includes all tenders sufficient to pay for all sales in same idoc, the tender amount will post to balance accounts, and NO postings are done to the accounts receivable.
This might be logical, but for my client and its vendors it prevents them from printing the account receivable statement periodically to check it against the vendors own accounting. (The account receivable postings will be missing for sales that are paid in full in store).
For comparison: When using Payment Card processing in SAP ERP, we create sales orders that are invoiced, and when the credit cards amounts are captured, we get a financial document that posts the invoice just as we want it for WPUBON. First the invoice is posted against accounts receivable (AR), and then we get a "counter-posting" against same AR account when credit card amount is captured and clearing account/balance account for credit card company is posted.
When involving credit card as tender in WPUBON, we get postings to clearing account/balance account for credit card company , but not to AR account as we do for the sales order/invoice in SAP.
Are there customzing settings that can be done in SAP ERP to make it similar for WPUBON idocs as for sales order/invoice in SAP ERP?
Are there user exits that can "force" SAP ERP to post to AR?
    Thankful for any advice!

    Hello ,

I believe you have figured out all the SQL queries used to get the AR recon done so i would request if you can share the SQL queries with me as it will help us to do our piece of activity in reconciling the AR.

  • Changing account receivable in accounting tab

    Dear All,
I would like to change GL account in the account receivable field on accounting tab of a customer business partner master data. The customer has had some transactions booked in general ledger, is it possible to replace it with other AR account ? I have actually created GL account per customer group. I use UDF and FMS so that each time when select a certain customer group, the GL account automatically filled in the field. Please help. Thanks
    Rgds,

Once the Business Partner (BP) is posted with entries you cant change.
But You can create another BP and you can transfer the amount by passing the journal. You should link the new BP to Old BP thru Payments Consolidation. So that only,  we can get the pending invoices at the time of Incoming/Outgoing payments.
