ACCOUNTING a multi-plant Billing document

Hello everybody,
I've a pb when I try to create an accounting document in reference to a multi-Plant billing document.
The error messge is that the Partner's Business Area is obligatory (as customized deliberately).
When I bill several deliveries of the same plant, I've no pb, but once I try to bill deliveries of 2 or more plants. I've an interface error message.
After several tests, I think that It may be due to grouping criteria of accounting document. I've already heard of a pb of this type, but Idon't know where it is in SPRO.

Thanks for your answer & remark.
My problem is that within the same business area, the accounting document is not generated only if I have one single artticle (MATNR) of one single plant in my billing document (several items (POSNR) of one of the same MATNR is not a problem).
But when I have 2 or more MATNR of 2 or more plants, I have an error message, which means that my accounting document doesn't accept more than one type of General Account / profit center... I don't really know!!

    1) there are duplication and unwanted G/L entries in accounting document
    2) Where there is multiple entry, it is getting posted to single G/L account

  • Cancel the Release to Accounting but not the Billing Document

    Hi Gurus,
    Is there a way to Cancel the release to accounting billing document but it will not cancel the billing document. I can't cancel the billing documen because it is already used as a reference to one of our orders.

    Hi,
    As per my understanding the accounting document in itself cannot be canceled. Because once the posting is done it will be reflected in the PL. If you cancel the billing document itself then the Accounting entries would be reversed.

  • Issue when releasing Billing Document to Accounting

    Hello,
    When releasing a Billing document to Accounting we are getting an error that Business Area cannot be determined for a G/L Account - 200000.
    The Billing document has two materials and they belong to different Business Areas.
    If we create our Billing with one materials and one Business area - we are getting no error - but we are getting error when there are multiple business areas in the Billing document.
    Any help will be very much appreciated.

    If they belong to different divisions within a plant  ? ( i hope business area is assigned to plant + division combination in OMJ7 )
    you would need to maintain division wise setting in VKOA for the same GL account

  • Accounting entry problem for cancel billing document

    Hi,
    We have manufacturing process  for SO to DC we follow the proces
    Sales order -> delivery -> VF01 -> J1IIN -> VF02 release to accounting,
    now when we do the above procees in billing document document flow we can see two accounting entry generated ref. to t. code VF01 and billing document number
    now to reverse the above, we are following the procedure
    J1IIN reverse -> VF02 cancel billing document  we get new cancel billing document numbver  then again in VF02 we are releasing the cancel document number,
    but earlier when we do the cancelation procedure only two accounting entries were generating under the original billing document and also under the cancel billing document,   but now as soon as we reverse the invoice in J1IIN  under the original billing document one additional accounting entry is coming which is generated ref. to T. code J1IH  document type JM , and when we cancel and release the billing document there are three accounting entery under Cancel billing document number and additional entry is created ref. to J1IH do. no. JM
    so what can be the problem hiw one entry is generated by J1IH and what is eefect of this.

    Yes this is standard.  One for customer debit and another accounting document for excise.

  • Billing document created but accounting document not created

    Dear SAP Gurus,
    i have a problem during posting to the accounting document.
    the scenario is like this: i have created the sales order + delivery + TO (for warehouse movement) + confirmation of warehouse + PGI + BILLING. now the problem is i am not able to post to the accounting document. i have checked that it is taking the KOFI for a/c determination procedure. it does not have a net value 0 as PR00 is taking the price 100.
    status:
    sales order XXXX completed.
    delivery XXXXXXXX completed.
    Billing XXXXXXXX completed.
    i am getting the error as accounting document is not necessary for this billing document.
    please help me with this problem

    To resolve the error, you can analyze account determination in the billing document. Process:
    Goto T.Code: VF02 & Enter Invoice number
    Next (On the top most strip) goto Environment
    Next (Select Environment) go to Account determination
    Next (In Account Determination) select Revenue Account Determination (first option)
    This will list all the condition types in the Billing document & analyze each condition & check for which G/L accounts is not determined.
    Possible SD errors:
    1. VKOA not maintained for required combination
    Solution: Maintain the combination in VKOA.
    2. Account Assignment of Customer / material not maintained in Customer / Material Master (If maintained in combination in VKOA).
    Solution:
    Option 1 (Standard solution):
    step 1: Cancel Billing Document --> Reverse PGI --> cancel Delivery --> Cancel Sales Order
    step 2: Maintain Customer master / Material Master correctly.
    step 3: Recreate sales Order --> Delivery --> PGI --> Invoicing.
    Option 2:
    Force the Account Assignment Group of Customer / Material through Debug in change mode of Billing document, which will release Billing Document to Accounting.
    3. Account Key not maintained in Pricing Procedure:
    Impact: This may create accounting document, but if condition type, which are to be posted to account, but do not have account key maintained in pricing procedure, it will not be post the relevant condition type to G/L account.
    From FI Side, you require to check that all the G/L account has been maintained through T.Code: FS00. G/L account being Master data has to be created in each client ot uploaded through LSMW / SCATT / BDC.
    In Billing Document in change mode (in the first screen where we enter Billing Document number), on the top most left hand corner, take a dropdown on Billing Document & select Release to accounting. Here you can get the under mentioned possible message:
    1. G/L account not found
    2. Cost Element not maintained for G/L account.
    In both the above cases, FI consultant requires to take corrective action.

  • Cenvat Suspense Account to be populated with Billing Document No.

    Hi,
    Cenvat Suspense Account gets credited when billing document is generated and the same gets debited when Sales Excise invoice is created. Is there a way to populate Billing document no. in both cases in the assignment field so that can be cleared automatically

    You'll have to create a Substitution rule in GGB1 for the transactions and in that, you select User Exit as the parameter.  Then have your ABAP consultant to write some code to extract the Billing document number and fill the Assignment field of the Cenvat suspense account (you can default the GL Account number it in the program itself if you are using one account, which is normally the case).
    Then activate the substitution for the Co. Code in OBBH.

  • Billing document can not be posted

    Good night all,.
    We have a problema, we need to define a biling type wich can not be posted, it means, this billing type wont need to execute the option to release to posting document, because will not have any accounting document,. so it will not appear in VFX3 transaction if is not posted.
    Where i define this on the configuratio? inside the billing type customizing? some field define this?

    Hi Marcos,
    I feel using Proforma Invoice is not a wise decision. In future, if you want that Billing document to posted to Accounting, it is not possible with Proforma Invoice. Instead you can use any Billing document type for your scenario and you can very well block the Account Posting of that Billing document by doing a Configuration Change in that Billing document type.
    Go to T. Code - VOFA:
    There select your Billing Document Type. In details screen, you can see General Control Section. There is a Checkbox "Posting Block". This Checkbox indicates whether the system blocks automatic transfer of the billing document to accounting.
    To block automatic transfer of the billing document to accounting, mark this checkbox.
    In future, if you want to release this blocked documents, you can manually transfer blocked billing documents to accounting by selecting: (VF02) Billing -> Change -> Release accounting.
    Even you can release many Billing documents using Transaction VFX3.

  • Posting status for billing document

    Dear Experts
    I read some threads on the above but still has this doubt I have not found the answer.
    VBRK-RFBSK = C but when i click the 'accounting' button to see the accounting information for a billing document , the system says, in essence,  no accounting document exist for this document, or something like that.
    I then checked the document flow and found that there is indeed no accounting document created.
    I also checked that there is no accounting entries created by going to VF11. The status shown there is 'incorrect' .
    Questions :
    0. Does this mean there is data issue with the billing doc that makes posting of accounting entries not possible? How to tell for sure?
    1. What could lead to this situation?
    If there is no accounting doc created  , how can the status be 'C' ?
    2. If there was Ever any accounting document created for this billing doc, but subsequently a cancellation was carried out, can the document flow not reflect the accounting docs?
    3. What should be the correct status if it is not 'C' to represent that the accounting entries were posted?

    I never experienced a similar scenario.  Whenever you save a billing document and status of field RFBSK is set to "C", there should an accounting document for that.
    2. If there was Ever any accounting document created for this billing
             doc, but subsequently a cancellation was carried out, can the
                  document flow not reflect the accounting docs?
    Yes it will reflect and in that case, the billing document status would be "E".
    3. What should be the correct status if it is not 'C' to represent
                 that the accounting entries were posted?
    "C" is the correct status

    Dear All,
    In-line with Mr. Muthu's explaination, I would like to add:
    It is VBTYP and Account Determination Procedure in Billing Document Type Configuration, which defines the Accounting Document generation.
    Say, in case of Proforma Invoice (F5, or F8), you will find:
    VBTYP as "U" (Blank) and No Acct. Doc. Deter. Procedure assigned.
    Whereas, in case of F1, or F2:
    VBTYP as "M" and Acct. Doc. Deter. Procedure assigned.
    Important: Check Fields: SD Document category and Transaction group, for F5 and F8 (it would be "U" and "8") AND F1 and F2 (it would be "M" and "7")
    Also,
    What Billing Document Type would be considered As Cancellation Billing Document Type, would also get considered by VBTYP.
    An Invoice, with VBTYP 'M', can only be canceled with Billing Type with VBTYP 'N' .
    Note: Check Billing Documents in VOFA.

    Hello Friends,
      We have a business requirement to simulate account receivables before releasing to accounts during billing document save.   In standard, we can check account entries only after billing document save. Hence Could you please suggest -
    a. Is any standard approach available to simulate an accounting determination during the creation of billing document?
    b. I was identified simulation function in VF04 (Collective billing) but not sure how it works and the usage of this function.
    Account determination analysis in billing document not really fill the requirement, our business is looking more like simlation process in finance side.

  • Error while billing document releasing to accounting.

    Hi Experts,
    Please give me possible reasons for below error while billing document releasing to accounting.
    "Valuation with material cost estimate: error with product "500258045"
    Message no. KE350
    Diagnosis
    In Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), the system tried to valuate a line item using the current standard cost estimate.
    In order to determine the current plan period, the system needs to read the valuation segment of the material master.
    The system has found that the current plan period is not filled forproduct "BDE98561002" in plant "9856".
    Display material (View: Costing)
    The system looked for the material cost estimate using costing key "ZK1", as defined in the Customizing settings for CO-PA.
    System Response
    The document cannot be processed.
    Procedure
    Contact your system administrator".
    I have checked CKR1 transaction there were no cost estimates with KF costing status.
    NOTE: Material Ledger Activated.
    Please suggest the possible reasons and what to check?

    Check the cost estimate that is mentioned against the Costing key ZK1 whether it exists in the system and as you are saying there seems to be no cost estimate for the said material.
    Hence release the std cost estimate for the said materia using CK11n or CK40n

    Hi Sunitha,
    Please check your settings in KEPC. Check which costing key you have assigned to your plant.  Also check which rule you have set for the costing key. For example if  you have assigned "current standard cost estimate acc. to entry in mat. master" then check here is no current standard cost estimate for material.
