ACD 23" Alu not displaying out from a fresh boot

my cheesegrater MacPro recently died on me so I've "relegated" the ACD to work with my rMBP through the thunderbolt port with an Apple minidisplay-DVI adaptor
Magsafe adaptor is on so the rMBP is closed and used with an external keyboard/mouse
Everything is working perfectly if I boot up the rMBP then connect the ACD to it
What's not OK is when I power on the rMBP with the ACD attached. it doesnt display out anything.
The rMBP does recognise the ACD with a quick pulling out of the adaptor from the rMBP then back in again. But there is no display on the ACD. the ACD and the rMBP goes into spanning mode as the mouse moves out from the rMBP to the blanked out secondary display (ACD)
My solution now is to connect the ACD only when the rMBP is up and running. The ACD has to be powered off from the powerplug and reconnecting the adaptor again which is silly.
how can i use the ACD properly without hotpluggin

i dont know if it had any thing to do with the SwitchResX app i had installed previously but i had it disabled completely and it seems fine now

Why is Mail 6.2 not displaying messages from my Exchange account?

I have a new 13" MacBook Air running Mountain Lion and I'm noticing that most of the time my Mail inbox is not displaying messages from my work Exchange account; however, it does display messages correctly for my Gmail account. I've included a screen shot of what I'm experiencing.
Any ideas?

I have the same problem, as does a coworker. It happens, for instance, if I click on another mailbox (such as Junk) then go back to the inbox. Our company uses Exchange. Quitting mail usually fixes it. A rebuild of the mailbox will too. Only happens on my Mac at work, not my Mac at home (connected via VPN).
Another problem I have is with mail not syncing. Mail I have deleted from another device (such as on my Mac at home or my iPad) does not get deleted from my inbox at work. Sometimes they'll go away when I click on them. Other times they won't go away and the only way to delete them is to rebuild the mailbox.
And lately I have had problems with attachments. Attachments sent from my Exchange account at work show up as .eml attachments in my iCloud account and mime attachments on my iPad or as a string of characters (20-30), not as an attachment. This happens whether sent from home or work.
I have our IT department looking into the third problem (which is the most vital one for me). I'll report the other two annoying problems and see what they can figure out.

Report not displaying data from one of the infoproviders

Hi Experts,
Issue: Report not displaying data from one of the infoproviders
I have a report 'ReportA' which has multiprovider MP1 as the source.
MP1 has two Infocubes IC1, IC2 in its design.
Now, when i execute the report, data from IC1 is displayed. But no data from IC2 is displayed.
Is there a setting i need to enable in MP1 ? or is there anything else that needs to be enabled ?

Hi All,
When i display data directly from the multi provider, without any restrictions, i cannot view the data from infocube IC2.
I feel its not an issue with the Query. It must be a problem with the setting in the Multiprovider MP1.
Infocube IC2 is a copy of Infocube IC1. Multiprovider MP1 first only had IC1 in its design. It was recently IC2 was also included.
I checked the Characteristics, all of them are assigned corectly.
Now, this issue sure has something to do wiht the setting of Multiprovider or please correct me if wrong.

regardings,my laptop is not coming out from hibernation. it is showing that is is going to hibernate but stuck there.it is showing that it is working. i wait for an hour but result is tha same. then i tried to restart but same result. can u help me in this metter

It's hard to say what the problem is. One recomendation would be to drop usage of the database connectivity toolkit as it adds a lot of complexity and limits your options for troubleshooting problems. There is an alternative here. Read the discussion and download the drivers...
Also, what kind of database are you connecting to?

Apple tv does not display video from my iphone

My iphone 5 will not display video content on my apple tv, but the audio is working. It works intermittently with mirroring turned on, but I've never had to do that before as I connect to my apple tv via wifi. The audio plays and displays a little icon in the lower left corner of the apple tv screen with the iTunes icon and indicates I have internet radio playing. This has never happened before. I tried the same video from my iPad and it worked fine without activating the mirroring function. All applications are up-to-date. How do I fix this?

Here are the steps for AirPlay:
Before starting Azul from your (running iOS 5.x/6.x) home screen where have have all your apps we need to turn on mirroring
On your iPhone 4S/5 or iPad 2 or 3, double-click the Home Button to view your recently-used apps.
Swipe all the way to the right to until you see the icon.
Note: If the icon does not appear, go to the "If AirPlay Mirroring is not visible or available on your mobile iOS device" section.
Tap the icon to see the list of available AirPlay devices.
Enable AirPlay Mirroring in this menu by tapping on an available Apple TV, then sliding the Mirroring slider to ON.
Now you should be seeing your iPad/iPhone on your TV.
Start up Azul now and using the settings icon on the top right corner go to the option that say "TV out" ON.
When you do that you will see an Orange screen
Now click "Done" and play the video you want to watch and it will AirPlay

Boookmarks folders do not display correctly from toolbar

The folders in my bookmarks toolbar only display as a small white square when I click on them. Even when I try to display them from the Bookmarks menu. They are present because I can right click and choose "open all in tabs" and they will all open but I can't select individually or open a folder to see sub folders. I have tried deleting places.sqllite and localstore.rdf but that doesn't help. Deleting Places.sqllite allowed me to see one folder's contents but no sub folders. Then when I closed and reopened FF even that folder view was corrupt. I'm using FF4.01 on a windows 7 x64 home premium desktop.

Not sure what happened but somewhere between version 7 and version 8 this corrected itself.

Not coming out from DB Tools Execute Query

When I am removing my Ethernet connection and again connecting[for server client communication ], then sometimes the DB Tools Execute Query.vi function stucked inside and not coming outside from this function for infinite duration.
How can I come out side this function when some network issue will come?
When network connection is OK then that time there is no any problem, it actually occurs when network connection lost during the program ececution.

UIX page not displaying data from VO's

I have an application where my users log in by passing a username/password to a client method in my application module. The Webusers View Object has a view link to the Customers view object, which has a view link to the Orders view object, which has a view link to the OrdLines view object, like this:
WebusersView
--CustomersView via WebCustViewLink
----OrdersView via CustOrdViewLink
------OrdLinesView via OrdOrdlinesViewLink
I've run this Application Module through the tester and I can see data via all the View Links.
I have the following code in my login() script:
w = getWebusersView();
w.setWhereClause("login = '" + username + "'");
w.executeQuery();
I've stepped through the login() code and it works correctly. If I understand BC4J correctly, then all of the View Links should fire and coordinate the data from Customers, Orders, and OrdLines when this query executes successfully.
I created a UIX page and did a drag/drop of Orders to the page as a read-only table. I found the Orders table by expanding the Webusers entry in the Data Control palette, then the Customers entry below that, to grab the Orders entry there. I think this means that it will follow the WebCustViewLink to get the Customer that goes with the Webuser, then the CustOrdViewLink to get the Orders for that Customer. Is this correct?
When I try to run this and display the table, I get no records. I know for a fact that records exist under the Webuser username I've chosen.
What is wrong? Why doesn't my UIX page display the appropriate Orders based on the Webusers->Customers->Orders view links?

I have a text field that is read only and bound without the $. that was working fine for displaying data. I have a drop down that had the $. and was not saving. I removed the $. and now it is getting saved to the XML. However, it does not display on the next render of the form.

Ink not coming out from new cartridge

I purchased the color and black cartridge from HP store. After installation the black ink is not coming out. Tried and checked all software settings and it seems the cartridge have some problem. Contacted customer service but no help. Can any one help?
It is a 3515 deskjet all in one printer and printer head is not detachable.

I see you are running into black ink issues. I would like to help.
I would recommend removing the ink cartridges, and performing a power reset. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
I would also recommend utilizing the steps in this document on Fixing Ink Streaks, Faded Prints, and Other Common Print Quality Problems.

Master page fields not displaying data from XML file

Hi,
For some reason if I a add a field on the master page, when previewed it does not display the xml data assigned to the field.
I have a work around, but it looks messy and would prefer to resolve the problem correctly.
My work around is to create another field with the same name in the "Design view" layout, and change the presence to invisible. I don't even have to link it to the xml data, simply select Global as the default binding.
Any ideas what I have done wrong, I assume it's a simple setting somewhere but I have no idea what it is.

BI Publisher PDF reports not displaying correctly from EPPM 8.2

Hi,
I have setup EPPM to run BI Publisher reports as specified in the documentation. I can see all the reports correctly and can run the reports ok after specifying the reqd parameters. However, when the report completes and tries to open the PDF output in Acrobat, the screen flashes and no output is displayed. This is when running P6 within Internet Explorer. If I run P6 in Firefox, the PDF output opens correctly.
I presume this is due to an IE setting or because the add-ons aren't configured correctly. Has anyone had the same sort of issue ?, and if so, how did you fix it ?.

Font mapping is done using xdo.cfg file right ? If yes then yeah I have done it. But the barcodes are not displaying. Infact to display special fonts such as chinese,russian etc I have just pasted the corresponding ttf files under java home and not made any changes to xdo.cfg. But still the specail fonts are displayed properly.Problem is in displaying barcode fonts.

Smart forms not displaying result from sub routine

I am working on a smart form and need to display the description of the fabric code. Under Form Routines, I create a sub routine
FORM fcc_values USING gv_fabrictext.
which is supposed to store the description in gv_fabrictext. GV_FABRICTEXT has been declared in global data as char64. Then I call prior to displaying my table as
perform fcc_values using gv_fabrictext.
And then insert the field &gv_fabrictext& in cell but this does not display any result
I know for sure that this sub routine works as I have tested it separately as a test program. Any ideas?

1. put break point at ssf_function madulename and check field value.
or
2 fm_name export parameter ur not mentioned
or
3 global variable not defined properly
go through above. still if u didnt get
need program where the problem to find.

Caller ID for incoming calls NOT displaying name from contacts (only displays phone # on BB Z10)

on the Z10 Whenever I receive an incoming call, the caller ID only shows the phone #, even when I have that number matched to a contact in the phone, even the call log it show the number and not the name. How do I get the caller ID to recognize and display the appropriate contact name with the phone fro an incoming call? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Akhanbilal

Thank you Arsen but, as with everyone else : (1) When you get an in-coming call, it has no call log on the phone app call log that allows you do a thing under the sun except to touch the number of the last call, and when you do, it CALLS THEM BACK. (2) On every other BlackBerry I have owned, about 10 to-date, I simply selected the last in-coming call and had a button at the bottom of the screen to allow me to ADD TO CONTACTS. (3) This does NOT exist on the Z10, and there certainly is no "Click on number, little slider pops on the right, select add to contact." Instead it dials them. Frustrating other uses have described Arsen. Further, while on the topic : (4) None of this has anything to do with 10-digit national dialing plan or anything else on swipe finger down from top in Phone App, Arsen. (5) When you swipe Phone App down, you see SETTINGS. Then, there are 13 items. I have looked at all 13 items and see nothing as you describe to select, nor any instructions on what to set the SMART DIALING to when there are 3 area codes local for my city and country code shows +1. Further, while on topic here : (6) Visual Voice Mail has been turned-on and whatever visual voice mail is, never supported on any previous BlackBerry including my 9780 before this, I have it with T-Mobile and have it turned on on the BlackBerry Z10 and it too does not work. On the positive side, I do have a work-around for BlackBerry Z10 to 2013 Toyota entune. (7) I first took a vm msg .wav file of just hello (blank will not send) and saved it on BlackBerry Z10. The Toyota entune is LOOKING for a music and will LOCK-UP if none are found. By giving it this, it worked on my 2013 Toyota entune for the 1st time ever. Yeah ! It is a little frustrating every few minutes listening to myself say HELLO. But, hey no one really notices it with all the other stuff going on NAVIGATION, radio, cell phone calls, and all the computerized alerts on 2013 Toyota even without entune. (8) What I did now was to go into Navigation and remove SYNC with MUSIC. I accomplished that after pairing to Z10 to 2013 Toyota, by CANCELLING ALL CONNECTIONS leaving only the pairing itself. Then, you must choose some connections in the pairing section of SET-UP within Navigation itself. If you cannot even get to that point, try depressing on the Navigation Screen, INTERNET at which point it will allow you access to SET-UP when you see the message NO ENTUNE APP FOUND ON YOUR BlackBerry Z10. Red-headed step-child is what we all are. Have to help each other. Arsen I appeciate you helping all of us. Seems the list is about 20 who have voiced it here in this one thread. We voice it for the 200 million BlackBerry users worldwide, all left out in the cold despite a pretty cool Z10 product. Far better than iPhone 5. I chose phone and internet. Internet comes back no BLACKBERRY Z10 TOYOTA ENTUNE APP. But, at least now I don't have to hear the music HELLO and do not also have the BlackBerry Z10 LOCKED-UP with pop up message you have to say OK to 10 million times to clear and never can actually do a thing on the BlackBerry Z10 as a result. Cannot add an in-coming call to Contacts Z10. Cannot see name and number calling me, just the bloody number, no clue who is calling ridiculous. BPM chart (process cube) not displaying data from business indicators

SOA/BPM Gurus,
I need some pointers for the below problem.
I am trying to do a basic BPM tutorial of generating a chart out of business indicators. I am creating a custom dashboard in the BPM workspace for the Request Quote process. The problem is that after I create the chart definition in BPM workspace, the charts do not pull any data for the business indicators. Here are the high level steps that I have performed:
1. Created a Request Quote process with typical steps such as - 1. Submission of Quote by Sales Rep; 2. Business Practices approval; 3. Deal & Contract Terms approval; 4.Save Quote.
2. I created 3 business indicators - Revenue Dimension, Industry Dimension, discount
3. After deployment, submitted a few quote requests through to final SaveQuote step.
4. Added a script task just before the Save Quote step to initialize these indicators from the corresponding elements from quote.xsd
5. Using the Sales Rep user, created a custom page and created a Data Source (Bar graph) with series=Revenue Dimension, Group=Industry, Variable=discount (operation=avg). The data type is Activity & measurement Sampling.
Initially I thought that the cause for data not being shown up is that the business indicators are not being initialized at all. But then I debugged this by writing the business indicators to the file on the SaveQuote step; the file generated did print all the correct values for the business indicators proving that they are being initialized.
Also, just to check whether the graph is picking any data at-all, I changed the data source to Work load per process and work load per participant and checked whether it shows transactions being created for the RequestQuote; the gragh did show data.
I am not sure I am missing any step such as a setting,etc on weblogic or em

IPhoto '09 Not Displaying Thumbnails From 3rd Party iApps

Somewhere between iOS4 and iOS 4.0.1 iPhoto lost the ability to display the thumbnails from photos that had been modified by any other 3rd party iApp. Is a suggestion to resolve this. All the thumbnails show up in the iPhone itself, just not on connecting the iPhone to the Mac, then iPhoto

How does IOS4/4.0.1 relate to iPhoto 09? kDo you want the iPhone forum or the iPhoto forum? If you do mean to be in this forum what iApps are you using to edit the photos, where are you editing them and how?
