ACE connectivity with 6500

Can Anybody tell me, how the ACE is connected physically with the host switch 6500/7600 for data path?
Cheers,
Deepak

Hi Deepak,
The ACE is inserted in a module in 6500.On connecting the module ,an interface is created ,which is of format TeX/1 ,where X is the module number. Also for the data path traffic we can define what all VLAN traffic should be forwarded to the the ACE we can define using following commands.
svclc module 3 vlan-group 1
svclc vlan-group 1  2-100,110,211-218,321,411-418
where module 3 is the slot number for the ACE.
Hope it helps.
Great day,

  • ACE working with IronPort WSA server farm

We have an ACE load balancing a group of Ironport WSA. The WSA are working with the feature IP Spoofing, then the request to WWW has the source ip address of the WSA client and not the WSA itself.
We follow the documento behind, but it is not working. When the packet coming from Internet having the destination address the WSA client address, the ACE can not delivery the packet even with the mac-sticky configured.
I read in other forum that ACE needs to have in its arp table or route table the destination IP address for being able to deal with the packet by the encapid.
But we don't have this entry in the arp table.
When we configure the WSA with IP spoofing and the source ip address is the WSA itself the configuration works fine.
Some have this kind of problem in some ocasion?
    Thank you,
    Everaldo

    Hi Jorge,
The behavior is when we have IP Spoofing configured in the WSAs, the connection is not established. The ACE establishes the connection with the client but the connection with Internet is not established. I captured the packets that arrive in the ACE coming from Internet and I see SYN packets with source address as a public IP (Google) and the destination address as the internal client IP address with no ACK just RST.
With no IP Spoofing, meaning that the ip source address is tha WSA the connection is established with no RST.
    Follow the output the commands:

  • PC Suite connection with phone 'fatal error'

    Hi
I had a connection with my last phone (6500 classic) and old version of PC Suite. Have new phone (6500 slide) and updated verions of PC Suite (7.0.8.2) but when i connect the phone i get a windows message saying'fatal error during installation of device) and the phone will not connect.
I have tried to uninstall pc suite (and the Nokia phone updater / connectivity driver )along with some other files i could find on these support pages (application data files etc) but when i reinstalled pc suite, exactly the same problem happened.
Am fed up with Nokia and the problems i have had with PC suite...only wanted to get contacts from old phone (which broke).
Any help very gratefully received please...!

  • N95 connection with Toyota TNS510 Nav disconnects ...

Recently bought Toyota Verso incl. a SatNav TNS510. The N95 should be able to work with th BT connection according all spec-sheets.
The sheets mention older Firmwire versions (I am using the V31.0.017).
After the initial connection, it is interrupted after about 20 min. (sometimes when signal when battery is full loaded).
The reconnection after restarting fails and can only be accomplished by simultaneous connection of TNS510 and N95. Still the connection is only temporary.
I tried a 6300 model and this one does not give any problem.
I expect a bouncing answer from Toyota and it must be due to the N95 seeing other phones don't have this problem. I can't find any issues by googling.
Maybe someone knows and it is just about a setting?
    Bart

    Bart,
If you check the Toyota compatibility site, you will see that the N95 doesn't work with TNS510. Check this site: http://techdoc.toyota-europe.com/bluetooth/search.aspx
I face exactly the same problem when pairing my E71 with my TNS510. It can connect when setting it up, but next time entering the car is disconnects, so I have to start up the connection procedure manually each time.
Also, I face that it disconnects without notice after e.g. ½ hour or so from time to time. Also, when receiving a SMS it disconnects.
Talking to Nokias support in Denmark, they are aware that with E71 there are a number of connectivity issues via Bluetooth, but despite of their friendly associates, they are not able to solve this. The best advice the Nokia associate could provide was to contact some of their business centre, who install the car-kit equipments, to see if some of them working with this in practice had solved the issue.
I did - and spoke to 5 of them - and two of them said, that the E71 runs with Bluetooth 2.0, and if the TNS510 runs Bluetooth 1.2 - it makes problems. Despite that 2.0 units should be backwards compatible, - it won't, they said.
I have tried to connect with a Nokia 6500 to my TNS510, and it works perfect. Checking the technical specs at Nokias website - it says the 6500 runs BT 1.2!!!.
Checking the Toyota website - there is a compatibility site, where you can check if your mobile works with your TNS510. A green "check" if OK, and a red cross if it doesn't. Checking my E71, it has red crosses for all the 8-10 features that apply, and the 6500? - a nice green check!.
Picking up a random list of all mobile phones with red crosses - they are BT 2.0, and the ones with green checks - they are BT 1.2.
Back into the TNS510 250-pager manual - no info about BT version, but my - in any cases premier class -Toyota dealer checked it out with the Danish Toyota importer, and the answer was, - ? Yes, you are right: BT 1.2!!
So, I'm convinced that it is here the issue is based. The BT 1.2 in the TNS 510 simply doesn't work with the BT 2.0 in the E71!
The Nokia Business centre - both - said to me, that it was quite unlikely that the TNS510 was running BT 1.2, as it is quite new - launched in the end 2008/start 2009 - and this older technology was left years ago, in accordance to the specialists.
Back asking my super Toyota dealer - he spoke to the importer - to find out two things: 1. Why it runs BT 1.2?, and 2: Is it possible to get the TNS510 upgraded into BT 2.0? (because in accordance to Nokia you can't downgrade your E71 from BT 2.0 to BT 1.2).
The answer to running 1.2. was, that the navigation system - which is a part of TNS510 is connected to the engine computer system, and allowing the BT 2.0 to the Bluetooth part of the TNS510 it would create potential risk for interruption in the engine computer system - from virus or likely bad things from the E71- cause BT 2.0 is a more open and speedy connection than the BT 1.2. I have no reasons to believe that my dealer is giving me wrong information, but I have major difficulties in understanding why the manufacturer of the TNS510 isn't able to separate the Bluetooth part from the navigation part of the unit. We got a man at the Moon in '69, and safe back, and Toyota can't get this to work 40 years after.......
About upgrading TNS510 into Bluetooth 2.0, - the answer was that there was no actual plans :-(
However, my Toyota dealer meet up with the usual spirit of complete customer satisfaction, and said that the right and formal way was to raise a "technical notification" to the importer, which will be gathered together and provided to the European Toyota centre in the end. And so he has done, and I'm just hoping that it will make a change.
So, - Dear suffering TNS510 fellows, including you Bart! - If you face the same issue between your Toyota Navigation System TNS510 and your E71 (or any other Bluetooth 2.0 phones - Nokias N and E series are in general running BT 2.0), and realise that it is caused from BT 1.2 and BT 2.0 incompatibility - please go to your Toyota dealer, and ask him to raise a "technical notification". As more we are in Europe who make this claim - as higher attention we can bring into this issue from Toyotas side - leading Toyota into solving our problems in upgrading the TNS from Bluetooth 1.2 to Bluetooth 2.0.
Enjoy your Toyota trip - well connected between your TNS510 and your E71 some day in the future!

  • ACE connection limit and remote TCP security scans

We are currently running remote TCP security scans on our networks and are running into a major problem where when the scans are taking place the ACE connection resource usage sky rockets and easily reaches the maximum 4 million connections.  This means that anyone can run a simple TCP scan and take down our ACE by maxing the connection limit.  We have the following parameter-map applied to all of our policies but it does not help to clear the connection count on the ACE in a reasonable amount of time.  parameter-map type connection CONNECTION_TIMEOUT   set timeout inactivity 300   set tcp timeout half-closed 60  I should note that we do have normalization turned off because it causes way more problems then it's worth (no resolution with TAC).  Does anyone have an tips on how to accommodate security scan's on networks behind the ACE while not saturating the connection count limit?

For vips, this particular context only has one class C applied to a class-map.  Not all IP's are in use but regardless the ACE creates connections for those as well.  I've set the timeout inactivity to 120 seconds and I still see connections from the remote scanning host idling well over 45mins for connections destined to the vip's.  Is turning on normalization my only option?  I know there are others who have turned off normalization due to performance and connectivity issues so there must be other ways around this.  Thanks for your help.

  • WLC DHCP issue with 6500

    Hi,
I configured WLC as DHCP server and is working fine when connected to 3750 core switch. The AP's and clients are getting IP address.
When the same WLC is connected to 6500 , the DHCP is not working from WLC . The same port of 6500 switch  is verified by connecting a 3750 switch as dhcp server and AP as well as clients are getting IP.
DHCP snooping and port security is not enabled in the 6500 and the configuration is simple. The WLC is untagged and the 6500 port is a trunk port with 242 as native VLAN.
    Please help

    Dear Surendra,
Please see the answers in line.
1.As per your previous post, if we connect WLC to 3750 core everything works fine.. so in this case, i assume that we have INTERFACE VLAN on the switch and then the management interafce on the WLC are in the same subnet?? correct??
"Yes , All are in the same Vlan . Interface VLAN and management interface are in same subnet."
    2. Similarly, if we swap the 3750 with 6500, it doesnt work.. in this case.. have you created the interface vlan on the 6500 in the same subnet as that of management interface of the WLC??
" Yes, the 6500 has vlan interface without IP. The same way we configured 3750 "
    Or
3.are we not swapping the 6500 and we are connecting the WLC to the WLC to the 6500 and then this 6500 to the 3750??
"We connected WLC LAP to 3750 and the dhcp of wlc is working fine.. When WLC & AP connected to 6500 , the WLC DHCP is not working. We verified the 6500 port by coonecting 3750 as DHCP server and WLC is connected to 3750 and all were working fine. When WLC is directly connected to 6500 , the LAP is not joing to WLC. When static IP is given to LAP, the LAP joined WLC but the clients were not getting IP."
4.Layer 2 means... interface VLAN on the switch and the WLC management and the AP DHCP pool are all in the same subnet. correct?
"Yes all are in the same subnet"
    Thanks for your efforts.

  • Adobe cloud has lost connection with the server

Adobe cloud has lost connection with the server, can't get adobe cloud to work so I can re-install photoshop to fix a corrupted DLL file.

    *Adding new items/removing orphans*
Try iTunes Folder Watch or iTunes Library Updater. Folder Watch is much faster on the adding files front, can be set to run in the background and includes a useful exclusion feature, however it’s slow at removing orphans. iTLU is better for this although doing it manually after looking at a list of proposed removals generated by Folder Watch is probably faster still. iTLU can also be set to update iTunes when you've used 3rd party tools to change tag info.
You may need to amend the list of file types these programs look for. My list includes:
    .mp3 .mp4 .m4a .m4b .m4p .m4v .mov .wav .aif .mid .ipa .ipg .ite .itlp .m4r .pdf
Note the last 6 types may not be recognised as already being in the library so should either be omitted from the search or you can add (at least for Folder Watch) individual exclusions for files you know are already in your library.

  • Lost connection with Time Capsule (Office for Mac programmes run down)

My colleague and I work at the office with 2 Macbooks. Both are connected wirelessly to the Time Capsule, which we use as a shared hard disk. We use Office 2008 for Mac. Now Word and Excel run down often after of little things like doing a search or cutting and pasting. I get the spinning ball can only do a forced quit to end the program. This is frustrating and time consuming!
A friend told me to change my UID, cause my colleague and I both have the same UID (501) at our Macbooks. He downloaded Server Admin Tools to change my UID into 1001 with Work Group Manager. But when I arrived at the office this morning I didn't have a connection with the Time Capsule. To be able to work I changed the UID back to 501 again (but now I can't open excel document inless I drag them to the hard disk of my Macbook).
The friend is not a Apple professional so he doens’t know how to help me anymore. Does anyone else have a suggestion?

Temporarily, try connecting an Ethenret cable from your Mac to one of the LAN <-> ports on the Time Capsule
Open AirPort Utility and Click Manual Setup
Click on the word "Status" (2nd Line) and a window will open to with information about why the light is flashing amber

  • "Lost Connection with AIM" repeatedly

    Hi there,
I'm using a new Linksys WRT54GL router with the DD-WRT v23 firmware -- which is otherwise fabulous, by the way -- but since going with the router iChat has been pretty unreliable. I can't connect to my sister in England (I'm in Canada): we keep getting "insufficient bandwidth" errors (I'm on a very hi-speed cable internet connection, so I don't think it's me!). Moreover, AIM frequently kicks me off iChat with the message "Lost connection with AIM".
I've configured my router using instructions linked from this forum. I'm forwarding the following ports to my computer:
    5060
    5190
    5220
    5222
    5678
    16384
And while I can connect to other users okay (except my sister, it seems), staying connected it a real issue. Can anyone recommend a fix?
    Thanks,
    Aaron.
PowerBook G4 15-inch 1.67 GHz   Mac OS X (10.4.5)   The last PowerBook ever!

    Hi Aaron,
This last port should be a group of 20 ports (16384-16403)
iChat needs 4 ports from this group to do 1-1 Audio or Video chats.
Many Linksys have UPnP. It is found in the Administration tab. If you have this you could use this. Disable the Port Forwarding if you do.
Also port Forwwarding points to one IP/computer. If this is the case for you and you still have the device doing DHCP there is a cance you computer's IP has changed if it goes to sleep or is shut down when the lease time runs out.
Check this on your computer and the Port Forwarding settings.

  • Lost connection with db, restarting Weblogic

    hi,
we have an server with oracle and whenever the connection
with the db is lost for any reason and then comes again in a while the weblogic needs to be restarted again.
i would love if someone could give me a tip of what excactlly weblogic is "loosing" from the connection or how i may run a script or anything so this to work automatically(mean to startup weblogic again).
thanks anyway for reading my problem.

    Hi,
Along with enabling "Test Reserved connections", also ensure refresh connections is enabled. Test Reserved Connections tests the connection only when a client makes a request while refresh connections ensures that all unreserved connections are also tested.

  • "Lost connection with AIM" error message

    Hi all,
I've been a long-time iChat user — I've had very few problems, but now, at home, whenever I've been connected for about 10-15mins, iChat just disconnects with the simple iChat Connect Alert that the app has "Lost connection with AIM. The connection with the host was unexpectedly lost."
My Buddy List collapses to a "disconnected" header and I diappear from my Buddies' buddy lists. If I'm in the middle of a chat (video, audio or text), the chat continues uninterrupted, but I still disappear from people's lists as if I'd disconnected manually. Weird.
The net result is that I have to keep checking to see if I'm connected and then reconnecting all the time. A real pain in the proverbial.
It only happens at the house. My laptop doesn't disconnect if I'm at the office, for instance.
I have cable, coming in to Netgear 814v2 router; out to an 8-port gigabit switch, which then feeds my three main machines. All via ethernet cabling.
All machines have the same problem described above.
I've made the usual Quicktime setting changes.
I've listed the necessary ports in my Mac firewall settings (even though the firewall is turned off).
Each machine has a dedicated IP issued by the router (10.0.0.2 thru 10.0.0.5)
The router firmware is up to date.
What else is there?! I have no problems initiating or joining any sort of chat with my buddies around the world. I have excellent bandwidth. My internet and email are never interrupted 24/7.
Can someone help me? Pretty please?

    Hi
Try this log on to AIM on port 443 rather than port 5190
Go to IChat > Preferences > Accounts.
Log out of AIM and then use the Server Settings tab
    Set the port to 443.
    Log back in again.

  • Lost ActiveX connection with LabVIEW server

I have called LabVIEW in TestStand and tried to execute the test cases .
While executing I got the following error:  ( Lost ActiveX connection with LabVIEW server.
The LabVIEW adapter will try to reconnect on the next execution attempt.-18001; An error occurred accessing the LabVIEW ActiveX automation server.).

Same error.  Is anyone from NI going to bother commenting on this?  It's been >8 months...
