ACE - limit of GET requests in the HTTP 1.1 pipelining

Hello. Is possible to limit the count of HTTP GET requests in the pipelining connection on the ACE?? For example when an attacker sends a lot of requests in the pipelining connection. Thank you.

You should not worry about that.
ACE has normalization to protect itself.
We also limit the amount of memory each connection can consume.
So one user will not be able to cause problem by using pipelining.

IIS Website: Default Web Site
Port Number: 80
with default value for Web Application Name configured.
For SMS_AWEBSVC_CONTROL_MANAGER component, I am getting below error in Component Status:
Application Web Service Control Manager detected AWEBSVC is not responding to HTTP requests. The http status code and text is 400, Bad Request.
Possible cause: Internet Information Services (IIS) isn't configured to listen on the ports over which AWEBSVC is configured to communicate.
Solution: Verify that the designated Web Site is configured to use the same ports which AWEBSVC is configured to use.
Possible cause: The designated Web Site is disabled in IIS.
Solution: Verify that the designated Web Site is enabled, and functioning properly.

And awebsctl.log has the below error lines:

Autoscaling Application block for Azure worker role console app not working. Get error as The HTTP request was forbidden with client authentication

I have written a console application to test the WASABi(AutoScaling Application Block) for my worker role running in azure. The worker role processes the messages in the queue and I want to scale-up based on the queue length. I have configured and set the

Base on error message, I guess your azure service didn't get your certificate and other instances didn't have certificate to auto scale. Please check your upload the certificate on your portal management. Also, you could refer to same thread via link(

Multiple HTTP GET requests for individual classes

Hello,
I have a Java plug-in deployed under tomcat 6. JRE version is 1.6.0_16. All the required jars are deployed packed (pack.gz) and the applet tag has 'java_arguments' parameter defined as:

All the jars get loaded nicely as I see in the Tomcat access log:

but immediately I see a bunch of GET requests for the individual classes in the same log4j jar:

As you can see each of these GET requests are returned a Http error code 404. While testing locally, this isn't adding any delays, but over a real deployment it's bound to be slow down the applet loading while the server is responding to each of these class requests.
Subsequently, the application itself runs without any issues and these bogus class requests failures have no effect (thankfully) on the functionality.
Any one seen this behavior? Appreciate any thoughts or help.

It seems the form element in JSC make a HTTP POST request by default, but is it possible to make a HTTP GET request by the form element in JSC?
(It is worth to mention here that HTTP GET request has its distinctive advantages like you can embed the parameters in a URL and bookmark it)

On requesting the same page multiple times, Every time I get the page that was rendered for the first time.

Http get requests fail after a few weeks

I have a get request to a servlet that works for a few weeks, then it will suddenly stop.
I change the code once, works,then it will fail after a few weeks.
I change the code again, works, then it will fail after a few weeks.
Servlet works like: send one request, wait, then send a second.

You appear to have empty catch blocks. Which means you don't get the error message that would tell you what is failing.
Put in code that logs the exception and the stack trace of the exception. If you can't figure out the error message, post it here.
You should be closing streams in finally statements. Otherwise they might not get closed when there is an error -> you leak descriptors -> you run out of descriptors -> every stream open will fail -> more errors -> more descriptors get leaked -> etc -> everything stops working. Always do it like this:
    WhateverStream out = null;
    try {
        out = ...;
        ...use out...;
    } finally {
        try {
            if (out != null) out.close();
       } catch (IOException e) { ...log it... }
    }

Maintaining cookies at the HTTP server level?

My Apache HTTP server authenticates the request by hitting another server before forwarding the request to the J2EE App Servers. Is there any way to avoid this authentication hit on every request at the HTTP Server using cookies for the same session since the user is already authenticated.

Extra request reaching the servlet

I have written a servlet which returns me some html code that I display in the browser. The servlet is working fine. My problem is with the HTML code that sends POST request to the servlet.
When the first POST request is send to the servlet, all the necessary parameters are passed and code works as expected.
Here is the bug: Sometimes after receiving the first POST request, a secong POST request is somehow send to the servlet. This second POST request is followed by a GET request to the servlet. This GET request doesn't carry all the expected parameters. Due to this my code fails.
I could not find the reason or the origin of these extra requests. The code is supposed to make only 1 POST request. But somwhow it is making extra requests (1 POST and 1 GET request).
Can anybody suggest a solution?
Has anybody come across a similar problem?
My client side code is similar to the one below:

If so, what conditions are present when you can vs. when you can't? Are you doing all your own testing? Try a "hallway useability test" - "anonymous" third person and see if they can duplicate the problem...

Javascript calls from flash send GET request

I'm having this problem with calling a javascript function
after opening a new URL from flash. Basically what I have going on
in my flash is a button, that when clicked, opens a new URL in
"_blank" sending values to it using a POST request (I have done
this both by using getURL and by using a LoadVars object). This
part works fine, however immediately after it, I have a call to the
javascript function "window.close()" (which I have done both using
getURL and ExternalInterface). This works great in Firefox, but in
IE the POST request seems to be getting interrupted by the
javascript call.
I did a check on the values getting passed using Charles, and
it clearly shows that in IE there is a POST request getting sent to
the page I'm loading in the new window, immediately followed by a
GET request. This get request overrides the POST and for some
reason only appears when making a javascript called. If I change
that javascript call to opening a new URL in _self, for example, it
doesn't show up.
Does anyone have any idea what this is all about? Is there a
solution to this? Why is this happening?!

Disabling the HTTP TRACE and TRACK Methods

Due to a security audit, I need to have the proxy reject requests containing the HTTP TRACE or TRACK methods. I have a proxy set up which listens on port 80 and simply redirects all requests to another proxy, which only accepts requests on 443. I thought that I would start by disabling TRACE/TRACK in the port 80 proxy. Here is a portion of my obj.conf for the port 80 proxy:

Where is the best or proper place to intercept requests involving these methods?

How to see the Source IP Address of a client using ACE One-armed-mode to load balance HTTP proxy request

I'm using an Ace 4710 Appliance deployed in One-Armed mode, using Source NAT to loadbalance HTTP request to a couple of Proxy servers.
Everything is working fine, but the thing is that I can't see the Clients IP addresses on Proxy's logs, so I can't keep track of them.
The Interfaces and Nat configs are:

I've already tried this but it didn't work. The problem is that I don't manage the proxy servers so I rely on their skills to see the logs.
The Proxies are Squid. Do you know if they need to do something else on the servers to see that field of the HTTP header?

ACE loadbalancing : cannot get to the same farm with http / ssl ?

This is working, but only for HTTP traffic : for HTTPS, it's redirected to farm 1 !

What is really weird is that traffic to http (CLASSMAP_L7) is ok, so I don't get it : this should match on HTTPS_POLICY, where am I wrong ?

Hi,
You are not getting match for https since with https header would be encrypted and ACE cannot read the URL and defaults to Farm01. HTTPS is encrypted HTTP.
ACE should be able to decrypt the traffic to look into the packet and take decision. SSL termination on ACE is a feature for that. I would recommend going to the SSL guide for more details.

My Web application is FBA application and I am using the lists.asmx services in my custom webpart. To run this lists.asmx service in FBA enabled site we need to use Authentication.asmx service..

Give permissions to the user on the web application.
Central Admin -->Application Management --> Application Security -->Policy for web application --> Select the
web application --> Add User

I want to Fill a drop down with Outlook Meeting of Current log-in user in SharePoint 2013 web part for default credentials I am using the following code

I Am Getting the Error "The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized."
but when I Replace the line
binding.Credentials = CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials ;
with
binding.Credentials = new NetworkCredential(userName, password, domain);
Its run fine. Is there any way I could able to use default credential.
