Can we remove the plastic film on the screen?https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9F7isIqIwHvVGF5YnpfQTg0cHc/view?usp=sharing

mitchytan92,
If you are referring to the thin plastic film that covers the screen and plastics as a protection method while it is in the box, yes, you can remove it.

  • Plastic film sticking out from glass iPhone 6

    Hi,
I picked up an Iphone 6 this past weekend, and when I got home I realized that a VERY small piece of plastic film is sticking out from "under" the edge of the glass on the face.  The film is only 1 or 2 millimeters in size.
Soft of thin film like sometimes "peels off" new electronics.  I would grab it and pull - but just in case, if anyone else has encountered this issue.
Is it safe to pull it off?
    thanks
    David

Personally, if you're able to, I'd take it to the Apple Store and let them remove it.  If they can't, they'll replace the phone.

  • Plastic film, to remove it or not ?

Hello,I have a problem.I just bought this printer and as suggested by the "scarcely clear" set up instructions, I removed the small rectangular plastic film that you find at the far left of the scanner surface. (the right blue arrow in the picture attached).Under that plastic film there is another smaller white plastic film that I let it in place. The problem is that if I want to scan some documents from the upper document feeder, the documents alway jam on place where the plastic film that I removed was.My question is : Is that right that I SHOULD remove that plastic film ? Only this one ?If I had NOT to remove it, it is possible to have a spare part ?Should I remove even the smaller white part ?If it is correct to remove it, how I should do to solve the jam problem ? I must say that the pdf file "HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277 Setup Poster" is VERY unclear at this regard. ThanksBest Regards.

Hi @Aris1 , I understand that you are having issues with the paper jamming when using the ADF and you want to know which part of the scanner glass the film should be removed from it, since it looks like it is jamming in that location. I will certainly do my best to help you.
I checked on the Laserjet M277 in our lab and there is a white plastic film which looks like it is permanent on the right side of where the ADF glass is. But the one on the left side covering the left side of the glass would come off. I tested the copy function with the right side of the plastic on the unit and it didn't cause any paper jams.
I have provided a document for checking the ADF and doing a reset with the printer, to see if it will help.A 'Paper Jam' Error Displays for HP Color LaserJet Pro M252n, M252dw, MFP M277n, and M277dw Printers. This document is for cleaning the ADF. Go to Step 3: Clean the ADF rollers and the separator pad (M277 only). An 'Out of Paper' Message Displays and Printer Does Not Pick Up Paper on HP Color LaserJet Pro M252n, M252dw, MFP M277n, and M277dw Printers. If you appreciate my efforts, please click the 'Thumbs up' button below.
If there is anything else I can help you with, just let me know. Thank You.

  • Anyone with issues did you find the plastic film?

If you had heat problems with your MacBook or any odd stuff, did you find the thin clear film over the vents, if so did it fix your problems once removed?
    R

not with mine and my friend one (white).
If there is any, then it should be at least help the air flow and circulate better and that is mean lower temp.
I believe that is a minor accident and not a widespread mistake during assembly line in china. Some casing that still covered with plastic film is passing through their quality control line without being noticed.

  • Is there a plastic film on iSight Camera?

Hey everyone. I got my iMac recently, and my iSight seems just a little grainy. Is there like a plastic film on i or something? Or is there some way to adjust it(keep in mind this is a built in iSight). If you guys need a picture to judge it by, let me know. Thanks!
    Max

The whole computer is covered in a plastic shell inclueding the iSight. You may want to shine a light on it and look at it from an angle to make sure it isnt scrached or anything and most likely there is some dirt or dust on there so to be safe use an eyeglass cleaning cloth or very soft cotton cloth to whipe it off. If its smudged you can used eye glass cleaner or a soloution made from water and rubbing alcohol i think its like 1 part alcohol for 3 parts water you may want to check that one (Just research cleaning LCD screens I had to do the same for my old laptop) let me know what happens or how it turns out or if you have any questions and enjoy your iMac I have been loving mine.

  • Using plastic film that came w/iphone as screen protector

I have been using the plastic film that was on the iphone screen in the box as a screen protector. Everything works the same with it on as off. I just cut the tab on the bottom off. The only problem is it covers the earhole and I just use my headphones or speaker on calls.

It's purely preference whether or not to use a protector, but here is a link to some testing that PC World did that you may find interesting:

Think I'm going to have to not happy about it and had it less than 6 month and hardly used it, have the plastic film to take along too.

  • Plastic film for anti scratch macbook pro??

    Hiya
Anyone know of a plastic or sort of vinyl film that covers the macbook pro body to try and prevent scratches etc. Not a speck case for example as thats thick plastic, I mean like a thin film of plastic , kind of like a screen protector film but to protect the macbook body.
I ask this as I had a speck case before on old macbook pro, and they seem to make it rather bulky and slightly heavier obviously..
Also that mail to is available in the UK
    Preferably transparent
    PLEASE HELP

  • Does Apple sell the plastic film that comes with the iPhone when you first open it?

You know when you first buy an Apple product like the iPhone 4 or 4S it has those two pieces of protective film covering it? I want to buy those exact ones I like the way they look, I dont want any other suggestions, I want those same exact ones. Does anyone know where to get those or how I would be able to contact Apple to ask where I would be able to purchase those? Please let me know asap. Thank you very much.

Those are not screen protectors. Furthermore, they cover the speaker and camera so you wouldn't be able to take a picture very well or hear anything, as they are not designed to be used as screen protectors.

  • Protection besides plastic film?

Has anyone come across any flip-cases for the 5g?

no, and I want to find one as well. I'm just not comfortable with the idea of the invisibleSHIELd...the gluing and water. I'd rather have a good old fasioned case. whay hasn't apple put any decent flip cases on the site? the nano has plenty of cases and it's not all that much older at all.

I can't help you specifically with your question.  But you might want to look at SAP's Mill products solutions.  What you describe is very similar to what happens in the mills that produce things like carpet or rolled sheet metal.  The carpet and metal are made in rolls measured in sq. ft.  but very often managed and stored as EA.  Defections are related to certain areas of the roll.
The following is from SAP's documentation on this solution, bolidng is mine.
    Purpose
The SAP Mill Products component adds sector-specific functionality to an ERP system to satisfy the complex requirements of mill industries (e.g. metal, wood, paper, textiles, construction materials, and cable sectors).
These industry segments differ from others primarily in that the materials used have a large number of characteristics and variants. The materials in the segments listed above are also predominantly area-based (e.g. paper, textiles, plastic film) or length-based (e.g. cables, piping). Account must be taken of these material characteristics throughout the entire supply chain.
To cater for the particularities of these industry segments, SAP Mill Products features processes and functions that cover the entire supply-chain cycle – from product design and configuration, through planning, order processing, capacity planning and production, to final delivery. Additional functions are available in costing and inventory management. SAP Mill Products are also integrated into Quality Management, Financial Accounting, and Controlling.

  • Best case and protective film for iPod Touch.

I had to good sense to get a protective plastic film and case for my nano when i got it two years ago. Its still more or less immaculate so i am thinking i will get the same for the iPod touch.
Can anybody recommend a good protective case ?
If i apply a thin plastic protective film to the surface of my Touch, will it interfere with the touch screen functionality ?
If anybody can recommend a good protective film i would appreciate it.
    Thanks.

  • Camera surround film - has it moved?

Hopefully you guys understand what I mean. Inside the cameras there appears to be a plastic film surrounding the camera lens. That seems to have moved and its off centre now. Doesn't appear to affect camera function but just doesn't look very good in some respects. Think I've seen this happen on a BB torch before but can't find much on internet about it.
Is it fairly normal for this bit to not be lined up perfectly?

Mine has not moved. Is that what you're asking?

  • Iphone 5s. Does it come out with a sort of film protection? My brand new Ipohne 5s seems to have a film protection on the screen.

    Hi everyone,
I am just wondering about my brand new Iphone display. Normally, when you firstly take it out from tha box, you would remove these plastic films used to protect the front/back of th iphone.
    This is very common.
My question is that I have notice that the screen seems to be protected by an extra film. Jut like the one you apply aftermarket to protect the screen. The only difference is that this si very well set. YOu can fell it if you try to remove with your nails but it does not come out.
Now, am I the only one noticed this? If Apple put a film to protect the screen, I should not remove it, should not I?
    Thank for your feedback.

  • Does putting a platic film over the screen hide blemishes?

I recently scratched the screen with the plastic stand (somehow). I was wondering if a plastic film would hide the scratch or would it make it even worse (airbubble?). The scratch is only visible in high light conditions (ex under a fluresent lamp) and could not be felt.

Unfortunately if you have scratched your iPod there is not much you can do about it.
There have been a few suggested solutions but all have pretty bad sideeffects:
*Glass Polish* Has been suggested but would only be benificial if done by a PROFESSIONAL glass polisher and finding one of those willing to work on an iPod would prove to be a challenge. And if you did manage to find one glass polish, while possibly hiding the scratch would make you lose touch sensitivite in the area of the ipod it was applied because it forms a film between your finger and the glass.
*Eyeglass Scratch Remover* has also been suggested. But that also has not been tested, would also result in lost touch sensitivity, and has the possibility of leaving a white residue in the scratch rather than filling it.
SO, depending on how bad your scratch is the best bet is to just live with it. At least the iPod is still functional. If you can find a good screen cover and properly apply it this may be your best bet.
-PS- When I say these solutions have been "sugested" It doesnt mean they have been suggested by APPLE, these are just solutions I have seen mentiond on the forums and have thus far seen none that remove the scratch well enough to be considerd a perfect solution to a scratched iPod. Using any of these methods is at your own risk.
