Acknowledgement from receiver file Adapter with out BPM

Hi Gurus,
I am trying to get Acknowledgement from Receiver file Adapter with out Using BPM.
Here is the scenario. I am sending files from different Sender Adapters. There is only one target that is File Adapter. After each successfull and failure transaction I need an Acknowledgement that needs to trigger another receiver adapter and send the the file name and timestamp to that file.
Hope this is a complicated scenario. Please help me.
Thanks,
Kevin

from sap note 821267
6. Acknowledgements
    * Q: Does the File Adapter support acknowledgements?
    * A: You need to distinguish system acknowledgements (indicating that a message has been received by the target system) and application acknowledgements (indicating that the message has been successfully processed by the application on the receiver side).
The receiver of an XI message will only send an acknowledgement back to the sender if the sender has requested one. However, the File Adapter has no functionality that relies on the receipt of an acknowledgement, so it never requests one.
On the other hand, if a File Adapter Receiver receives a request to send an acknowledgement, it will do so for a system acknowledgement request. Application acknowledgements are not supported at all as the File Receiver has no way to determine if the written file has been correctly processed by the back-end application, which is what a positive application acknowledgement would imply.
this means that your requirement is ideally not possible without a BPM

    Hi All,
I am working on FILE TO FILE. My requirement is same file name from sender to receiver file adapter. Is it possible to do using only Adapter Specific message properties?  i mean with out using UDF.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    >>>Is it possible to do using only Adapter Specific message properties?
    yes
just enable Adapter Specific message properties in sender and receiver channel for file name
    and you're done

  • Receiver file adapter with attachments.

    Hi
I would like to pass a file receiver an attachment from a proxy. I have seen bits and pieces with attachments. I have read that its similar to the mail adapter.
    In the module
    localejbs/AF_Modules/PayloadSwapBean
    module configuration:
    Parameter Name: swap.keyName
    Parameter Value: payload-name
Has anyone succeeded and would you explain the details?
    Thanks in advance
    Ian

    Hi,
As far as I know, receiver file adapters do not supprt attachments.
You can use the payloadSwapBean to swap the attachment and the actual proxy payload and then send it to the file adapter.
Don't think it will be possible to send both the attachment and the payload to the receiver  file adapter though.

  • Receiver File Adapter with File content Conversion

I have a requirement to send 2 different files to the target directory. Source is the same and different mapping for the 2 files.
This I can achieve through multi-mapping but there is a problem. How can I use the File content for receiver File adapter which is using Multimapping.
The structure of the 2 files also different.

Why would you need FCC on receiver file adapter? If you need different files to be generated from the source, you could create two receiver channels with different mappings and just add them to the same Receiver Detemination. Isn't feasible?

    Hi Experts..
    I have the following question....
What am I suppose to inform in the Target Directory & File Name obligatory parameters in Receiver File Adapter if I am using ASMA to fill it? Is it any dummy value?
Also, if you have any step by step guide/blog to forward on how to use ASMA in file adapter I will be greatful.
    Thanks in advance,

  • IDOC Number from payload in Alerts with out BPM

    Hi Everybody,
I need to send the IDOC Number as Alert for the user.
Is it possible to do with out BPM either by Alert Frame Work or CCMS?
Is there any alternative way to capture the Idoc number and display for the erroneous messages?
Helpful Answers will be rewarded points.
    Thanks,
    Zabi

    Yes,
You can also do it via alerts.
Alert can be triggered in different ways.
    1) Triggering by Calling a Function Module Directly. or from UDF
    /people/bhavesh.kantilal/blog/2006/07/25/triggering-xi-alerts-from-a-user-defined-function
    2) Triggering by Calling a Function Module in the Workplace Plug-In.
    3) Triggering with an Event Linkage.
    4) Triggering with the Post Processing Framework (PPF) or Message Control (MC)
    5) Triggering from a Workflow.
    6) Triggering from CCMS with autoreaction.
    7) Triggering from BPM.

  • Regarding .trg file from receiver file adapter

    Hi,
My scenario is IDOC to File.
i am using file adapter at receiver side. My client want me to generate .trg file at the end once i create .dat file. After that one .net program will run and it will check for .trg file and will pick up the .dat file with the same name. They want me to do this because other applications also creating .trg file.
They are saying that C#.net program should not pick the file before XI completes writing the file fully.
( .net we may have option to check whether any other aplication is locked the file, but they dont want to use that ).
My question is, do we really need to create .trg file. What is the posibility of the .dat file being picked by C#.net program before XI completes writing the file fully if we dont use .trg file.
Will the file visible for .net program before file fully wirten to the share folder. How file adapter works?
Will it create a file and keep on appending the lines? OR it will write everyting at a shot?

    HI Ashok,
You need to create two fiels .dat and .trg but should be in sequence.
Either you can add the simple BPM i.e. Receiver step and two send steps in sequence then it will resolve the purpose.
    OR
make the external control on communication channel to be activate in pre-defined sequence so 1st Dat file will be created and then .trg file.
You can even schedule the communciation channels accordingly, this way you can add multiple receivers with scheduling
    Thanks

  • How to ignore the empty file using Receiver file adapter with Coma separato

    Hi,
I am trying to create the .csv file at the receiver but when there is no data I wan to ignore the file even I do not want to create the file with comma also (I just went and check in my file system created with commas)

           T1
            -> S1
                  ->Field1
                  -> Field2
Because I am using receiver side FCC populating with empty node
Based on condition T1 is populating when condition fails I am populating target T1 and structure elements are mapped with constant.
Ex: Target payload when condition failed below data is populating ..
In this I want to ignore creating the file.
    <T1>
    <S1>
    <Field1/>
    <Field2/>

  • Determine Target directory from Source file names with out mapping

    Hi All,
I have a requirement to determine the Target Directories from the Source file names.
File Sender Adapter - XI - File Receiver Adapter
In this scenario I am not doing any mapping. Source File directory contain 3 files. These file should go to 3 directories in the Target Server.
Please help me how can meet this requirement
    Thanks in advance
    Kevin

    Hi Kevin,
if you can separate the files by name. have 3 sender communication channels each picking up one of the files (you do this by making the regex in the file name mutually exclusive) and then send them all to the target system using the same comm. channel.
    regards,
    Horia

  • REG: Acknowledgement for receiver file adapter

    Hi All,
I have a scenario where i need to make a rfc call  to update SAP table after the file is placed in the target folder. Can this be acheived without using BPM.

    Hi Siva,
I think this cannot be achieved without BPM. You need to go ahead with BPM.

  • File Adapter with out CC

    Hi All,
I need to FTP a 20 MB csv file as_it_is without any translations. How can i do it without file content conversion.
       1. If it is a XML file There is no problem.
       2. I tried dummy interface(Like no objects in Repository), it is good for upto 6 MB.
    Thank you
    Ganges Leaves

    Hi,
If you just need to pass the file using FTP protocol with no mappings etc. all you need is to create a FILE-FILE scenario without mappings.
The use of FTP follows the specification RFC 959 The use of FTPS follows the specification RFC 4217.
transport protocol on the file communication channel will be File Transfer Protocol (FTP).
fill the comm. channel parameters according to the specifications given by SAP

  • Problem receiving acknowledgement: abap proxy == file adapter

    Hi experts,
I am developing an asynchrone interface using PI 7.0. The scenario is: SAP ==> FILE.
In SAP I have created an abap proxy in wich I requested an acknowledgement when calling from the abap code. In PI I have created an Integration Process with a receive step, and a send step. In de send step I am asking for a transport acknowledgement.
When I test the interface and I look in the SXMB_MONI in PI, I see the acknowledgement given back to the IP, but in the SAP backend system I don't receive anything in the abap proxy which had send the original message. In de SXMB_MONI from SAP I see a "?" Still awaiting  acknowledgement.
Can anyone help me with this scenario? I really need an acknowledgement from the file adapter in the calling abap proxy.
    Regards, Jeroen

You need to crate a REceiver Agreement for this sender...
The Integration Server sends an acknowledgment message back to the sender (CENTRAL_BACK). It uses the name of the sender system for logical and technical backward routing.
If the sender is addressed using an ABAP proxy, you must define a corresponding receiver agreement for this sender.

    Hello everyone!
I do not know if you already solved this issue.
I was facing the same problem and I've figured out that my CC (in Module screen) was set up with the wrong Parameter Value for the Parameter Name "receiverService".
That occured because I had changed my Service name when I moved my scenario to production.
    Hope I could help!
    Regards!!
