Acrobat 9.0 makes incorrent replication

Hi all!
Trying to duplicate value of the form #1 to the form #2
I'm using this script for the form #2 (tab "custom calculation" in properties):
var a1 = this.getField("form1");
event.value = a1.value;
This goes well, but if I want to input a huge number like 40802810011180020007665, then in form #2 I'll see 4.080281001118002e+22.
I guess it's because of the numeric type of form value.
Q: How do I need to change the type of my form #2 from "INTEGER" to "STRING"?

BTW, I see this trick: change the script tihs way:
event.value = a1.valueAsString;
instead of:
event.value = a1.value;
I guess it's more complicated way and can't test it in Adobe Reader to be sure

The message "Type your password to allow Adobe Acrobat Pro to make changes" now appears whenever I launch Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.4.2 on Mac OS 10.6.5. I am forced to enter my Mac password before every time I want to use Acrobat -- very frustrating. The problem did not used to happen. Please try following steps:
1. Repair your current Acrobat installation
a. Launch Acrobat
b. Go to Help->Repair Acrobat Installation
c. Check all the components and press Continue
Missing components will be repaired
2. Now, update your Acrobat.
Go to Help->Check for updates
Update your Acrobat to latest version i.e. 942
3. Again , Launch Acrobat. Acrobat would ask credentials for the first time.
4. Quit Acrobat and launch Acorbat again. Acrobat should not ask for credentials now and for all subsequent launches . Please reply if you see a different behavior.

We have one domain with 7 subdomains. Will we be able to use one account? We are thinking of the Plus account, but we are on a tight budget, being a school district in Illinois. We have a district site and each school has a subdomain (i.e. Fremd High school has fhs.d211.org.).

How to allowed JavaScript in Acrobat Reader and make it default

I want to allowed JavaScript my Acrobat Reader but I have to always go to edit->Preferences and so on... It has to be done all the time when i reboot my computer. Can I some how make default to my reader. (I know that it risk to allowed that but still I want to do it)

I would try the 'Repair" option, usually under 'Help", and then set the JavaScript option.
If this is an organization installation, check with your IT help desk to see if they have a policy about this issue.

Acrobat XI PDF maker files missing

Have just installed XI. I run Win7 and 32bit Office 2010. PDF export ribbon in showing in word and you can create pdf from this.
The problem arises if you use the right click 'create pdf' function. More importantly, when using the merge multiple files to PDF function. In both cases it works ok with excel but fails on word (in the case of the merge multiple file function all other types f file go in but the word file fails)
I get he message 'PDF maker files missing'. It suggests a repair that I have tried but that doesn't help.
I have checked the COM add in isn't disabled. It's not.
Just can't get this working. Help!!!

Is it that none of the right click options are not working (Create PDF, Create PDF and Email or Combine only)?
Try converting the word file by dragging and dropping the file to Acrobat interface/icon.
Are you able to convert the word document to PDF from Acrobat Ribbon (Acrobat-> Create PDF) from within the word application?
Is the issue with a particular word file or happening with all the word files?

Use Acrobat Professional to make text editable in Adobe Reader

Hello,
I have a .pdf document that needs to be edited.
There are certain fields in the .pdf that needs to be editable in Adobe Reader.
For example; we need information from other companies in that .pdf.
It says "[company name]", can I make it in a certain way with Acrobat professional so that when our client clicks in that field it that he can type there.
Is this possible with Acrobat Professional?

Adobe Acrobat 8 PDF Maker

How do I install PDF Maker (Adobe Acrobat 8) on WIndows 8.1 64bit. During the installation, it gave me error saying that it was missing a a ".dll" file.
Acrobat 8 installed fine and everything works except there is no PDF print driver.

How do I upgrade Acrobat 8.0 to 8.1. I tried running "check for upgrades" in the help menu but the systems says no updates are availabe. Is there a download ink where I can download updates?
In fact, I have Acrobat 8.3.1 installed on Windows XP. I had upgraded this from 8.0 a while ago. It would appear the upgrades are no longer available?

complete and force work.
I create snapshot as select * from table1 with rowid, primary key. Before this I create snapshot log on ora 7.

Yes I know that Rowid changed. that's why they extend synt. create snpashot log.
I did create with rowid only.
It doesn't help.
Only complete replication works. I'm intereeted in "fast" actually :)
If I try to set "fast" option in snpashot and then make refresh - oracle return error that he can't use snapshot log. ( I don't remember taht is the code of error). So It seems oracle 7 problems.
But, maybe this problem oracle 805?
Maybe I need 806 oracle?
Where can I get list of bug fixes and were I can report about such kind of problem , about bug?

Acrobat X Pro makes text disappear from a page when I insert that page into another PDF

I printed a single page Microsoft Project schedule to PDF using Acrobat X Pro. All good. I then inserted that one page into another PDF document using Tools/Insert Pages/Insert from File. Much of the text in the inserted page goes missing after inserting that page into the other PDF document. How do I prevent this disappearing text problem?

Does the inserted page have a lot of markup? I do not think the markup will insert.

I have Acrobat Pro 9. I just bought a new iMac and installed Acrobat from scratch. Anytime I try to open a PDF document, I get this dialog box:
If I hit OK, the file will open. But I have to do this every time I try to open any file!
This never happened on my previous Mac with this same version of Acrobat Pro installed.
I searched the forum and found a few other threads about this, but none of the offered solutions worked for me.

Every time the Acrobat pro 9 is launched, the message pop up asking for password.
It's very annoying when you often open files.
Is there any news about this compatibility problem?

Acrobat X - PDF Maker stopped autotext save in normal.dot

Does anyone meet this issue?
When Acrobat PDFMaker is installed and enable, word 2003 will not be able save the autotext record in normal.dot.
Any help is welcome.

We finially give up PDFMaker and all has been fixed now.
But just can't believe the compatibility issue still not fix in Acrobat X

Acrobat fixup to make spots black

In my workflow I like to set single color press jobs in black, that way if the spot color changes I don't have to mess with changing my file over and over, and also, I'm an old horse and this is the way I've always done it. (not a good reason, but a large part of why I do it this way.) I'm creating a profile for one color documents that will print to our press. One of the things I'd like it to check for is whether or not there are spot colors and black applied and if so I want it to convert the spot to black. Is there a fixup in Acrobat 9 for the Mac that will remap a spot color to black? I don't want it to convert to grayscale, because if say a yellow spot has been used at 100% I want it to remain 100% when converted to black. Not the percentage I would get if converting it to grayscale. I've looked under all the color conversion stuff I can think of, but I can't find anything. My concern is that if I am working with a 1 color job, there will be both black and a spot color in it. I can easily have it check that there is only one spot, but if there's one spot and black I have room to get bit by it. I know I can manually check it with the preview panel, but I'd like it to be handled in the preflight. Or I guess I could use the correct spot, but then I'd need to find a fixup that will convert the black ink to a spot ink.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much for your advice and help. I do have pitstop, and I looked at that, but the interface is a little intimidating. I had some downtime so I was trying to learn some new workflow tools, but as usual, once I started trying to educate myself there was a flood of rush work, and I probably won't be able to revisit this for at least a week. Which is irritating to me, because I was really pretty excited about figuring out the preflighting.

Adding background to Acrobat DC file makes large file

Help! In the past (as recently as Acrobat XI) I have made mail-merged envelopes using Microsoft Word, then added a background PDF of the envelope in Acrobat. In December a file of about 2700 pages was only a few megabytes. Today I made a file of only 1705 pages worth of addresses, added a similar-sized envelope background, and the file is almost a terabyte! What's going on?

Then why -- when I do EXACTLY the same thing in either X or XI do I get a file that is only a few megabytes and works fine? In DC the same procedure produced a file that was almost a terabyte! Sorry, but something pretty basic has changed between XI and DC. Hope someone can pass this info to those who can do something.
