Acrobat 9 flash/flex form scrolling and hand mouse pointer problems

Hello.
There is pdf file with embeded flash swf file inside. Main business logic has been implemented on flash: there are drop-down interactive menu and  navigation links.
I've noticed 2 problems related to Acrobat (flash movie itself, standalone, works correctly):
1. Scrolling over drop-down menu doesn't work: mouse wheel doesn't scroll content of drop-down form menu. So, I have to manually click on scroll bar.
2. Hand mouse pointer over links losses "hand" icon. Hand icon shows for short period and then disappears but should be visible while mouse pointer is over a link.
I managed to test these problems on Windows, MacOS with Acrobat Proffessional 9.0 and Acrobat Reader 9.1
So, Is there any way to resolve these problems?
Thanks in advance

I'll take a look at these.  #1 is a known issue with Flash Player and is already being looked at, haven't heard about #2 though.

Is there any indication of the specific folder you are having problems with. Are you logged in as the administrator (or the same as when you installed) and have anti-virus disabled during the update? You might also try the updates from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows.

  • Mouse pointer Problem with CS3 and windows 7

    Upgraded
to a new PC which has Windows 7(32bit) as an operating system. Installed my Photoshop CS3 and everything seems ok except when I magnify in the navagator panel. Once I zoom in my mouse pointer changes to 3 hands in the navigator panel. I powered up my old laptop which has Vista and my CS3
then matched up the mouse settings in the control panel on the new PC. Used the same usb mouse on both PC's, the older Vista laptop worked fine but the windows 7 PC would get a tripple pointer in the navigation panel when I magnified. In the windows 7 laptop I then set the compatibility for Photoshop CS3 to run in XP mode but the problem did not clear. I see in FAQ for CS4 people have complained about tripple cursers in windows 7 but the replies indicated that the recommended fix did not work. Any help apreciated.
    Tom

Thanks for your solution. I by changing the setting to 125% I am now able to use CS3 without tripple pointers.
My eyesight is challenged so the decrease in text is a challenge but I can change the setting when I will use CS3 so I have a workarount.
    Thanks,
    Tom

  • Why my mouse can't show scroller when the mouse point moving to right side?(Safari 8.0)

It's very annoying for me in Safari of Yosemite about scrolling by other brand mouse.
When I'm using other brand mouse(3 keys), my mouse point swing to the right side in Safari being ready for showing scroller,
but nothing happen. My habit will be using left mouse key to scroll if I don't use my trackpad.
My only way now is that scrolling my middle key of mouse making scroller show up and click the little bar, but it doesn't feel like previous version.

Check your settings in System Preferences > Mouse > Point & Click

  • Safari won't open and wheel (mouse pointer) keeps spinning

    Hi guys.
I'm going crazy here as everything I've read and tried doesn't work?
I've deleted cache files, history, plug-ins etc etc and every time I try and launch Safari, I keep getting the spinning wheel/beach ball/mouse pointer and safari doesn't open?
I've received the following long error message and it may as well be in Arabic as I haven't got a clue what it means?
Any techies out there who could shed some light "Error message for dummies' style please?
    This is the report error.
    Cheers,
    Marc

You installed the "DownLite" trojan, perhaps under a different name. Remove it as follows.
Malware is constantly changing to get around the defenses against it. The instructions in this comment are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
    Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    /Library/LaunchAgents/com.vsearch.agent.plist
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item named "VSearch" selected. Drag the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password.
Repeat with each of these lines:
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.daemon.plist
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.helper.plist
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/Jack.plist
Restart the computer and empty the Trash. Then delete the following items in the same way:
    /Library/Application Support/VSearch
    /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/Jack
    /System/Library/Frameworks/VSearch.framework
Some of these items may be absent, in which case you'll get a message that the file can't be found. Skip that item and go on to the next one.
From the Safari menu bar, select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need, including any that have the word "Spigot" in the description. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
This trojan is distributed on illegal websites that traffic in pirated movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect much worse to happen in the future.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the DownLite developer has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing, has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. This failure of oversight is inexcusable and has compromised both Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

  • Wireless Keyboard and Magic Mouse (Bluetooth) Problems

    Hi folks,
I recently got a new Mac Mini, wireless keyboard (Apple) and Magic Mouse. During high LAN activity, the keyboard and Magic Mouse will often lose connection and will have trouble re-connecting even when LAN activity goes back to basal levels. If they do not lose connection, the performance becomes terrible and both lag significantly during use.
This behavior does not happen on my MacBook Pro.

    Other things to check-
Do you have anything on top of your mini, or is the top of the mini under a desk or other obstruction? The bluetooth antenna is (as you are looking from the top down at the mini) to the top right of the Apple logo on the plastic case top. Try clearing any clutter (if there is any), or establish a clear line of sight with your keyboard and mouse to the unexposed top of the mini and see if the dropouts occur.
Also, microwaves wreck havoc with bluetooth. Any machinery in the same room as your mini and keyboard/mouse?

  • Rsd? shut down and mouse pointer problems

    hello there
So, last week I went to the Carrefour Laval apple store to go check out my macbook because it had shut down 3 times in a row for no reason. The genius checked everthing out, ran some tests, and said everything was a-okay, that I might have simply just xperienced a random, insignificant crash. But, yesterday my computer shut down again as I was surfing the internet. I waited about 1 minute and powered it up again. everything seemed fine. so, about 1 hour ago, im checking my emails, when i go up to the toolbar to select a different website, when my mouse pointer seems to start disappearing on and off constantly. so i close my internet window and this weird loud and quick clicking sound comes from my computer. I open up another safari window, and the sound stops. and this happens over and over again as i open and close safari windows. then 10 minutes later, i am watching a dvd when my computer shuts down again! what is going on? Im so tired of this. i would like to have some advice before i go see the genius again. the thing is i cant reproduce the problem for him, it just happens randomly....
    please help me!

Hi there I am having the same problem. I've been experiencing it often over the past month. First thing you should do is download the latest updates and make sure the firmware is updated which you can get from apple.ca/support. If that doesn't work then take it into a certified repari center that is authorized by Mac. In Toronto I go to CPUsed, Carbon or MacLibrary for repairs. My macbook is still under warranty so I am going to take it in. I am also going to extend my warranty for three years. These intels are great but it is the first year so expect problems.
    Cheers!
    Alan

  • Forms 6i and windows 7 registry problem

    Hi,
We are using forms 6i patch 14 on windows 2008 R2/windows 7. The only problem is that the form reads from "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\ORACLE" key instead of "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE\" like it should, and did on XP/2003.
Is it plausible to change that because we use that forms with windows terminal services and cannot set the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\ORACLE" key for every new user.
    Thanks

Unfortunately the whole thing (forms 6i) is desupported.

The Forms / Reports Development Environment of release 11.1.1.3+ is supported on Windows 7 (64 bit) for single user only.
    You must use:

as well as the 32-bit distribution of FMW 11g PFRD (11.1.1.3+)
Certification of Oracle Developer Suite 10g (10.1.2) has now (Feb 2011) been completed for Windows 7 with version 10.1.2.3.

  • Fluttering top 20% of screen and bad mouse pointer.

I just opened the box of a Pavilion p6-2378, and connected to a monitor (trying both VGA and DVI modes separately). Top 20% of screen keeps fluttering, and mouse pointer is a large black box and difficult to follow. Video card diagnostics dreport no problem. What else can I try before returining the product?

    Hello tarti,
That sounds like a strange issue. So putting a second monitor and different cable on the same result. It may be the port on the computer that is the problem.
Your computer has both VGA and DVI ports, have you tried both?

  • Mouse pointer problems in JRE 1.4.0

Does anyone else see a problem with JRE 1.4.0 when using the 3D style mouse pointers in Windows 98? If I use the default 3d mouse pointers that came with Windows, the menus and other areas of the java GUIs draw a square any time you click on something. If I set my mouse pointer to the Windows Standard I do not see this problem.

I am currently having this problem in plugin 1.3.1 which
is what we will be implementing. We have to update the
video drivers on a number of machines to correct the problem.
I tried the 1.4.0 and it seemed to clear up but we won't use this version until a full general release is available.
Another fix is to turn off the mouse shadow.
    We are running windows 2000.

  • Mouse Pointer Problem, Win 8 Pro on Windpad 110

Today for some reason the built in mouse pointer, as well as when my finger touches the screen, the response is as if I'm clicking and dragging like when holding the left mouse button down on a standard mouse. It's rather annoying.
It's like the click-lock setting in the mouse settings is on and I can't shut it off

I'm pretty sure this is the result of downloading Windows 8 updates. I've tried to do several system restores to points prior Christmas which was when the problem wasn't present. The sys restore continues to fail after rebooting the machine stating my virus protection is conflicting w/ the process, and suggesting I should perhaps turn it off. To no avail I keep getting the error message. I keep trying older points to restore from in hope it'll finally fix this squeaky little mouse

  • Acrobat Pro 8 slow scrolling and high CPU usage

    Hi Folks,
Occassionally, when I scroll a document in Acrobat 8.1.2 Pro, the scrolling will happen very slowly, and Acrobat.exe will chew up 100% of my cpu, until the scrolling has completed. I'm not up to my limit of memory (1.18 GB used, 1.5 GB available). I'm on XP Pro SP2 on a thinkpad t43 with a 2GHz CPU. Any ideas?
    thanks,
    allie

thanks john - good idea, but doesn't turn up much of value. I think the document with which I most recently noticed this issue was an academic paper, with not many graphics, except that I think it was scanned. Thus, it was alot of image data. Dunno - perhaps I'm hitting a limit in my video card or something. (ATI Mobile X300 with 128 MB).

  • Left-handed mouse pointer in OS 9?

My Dad recently lost use of his right arm (he is right-handed) and so he now has to mouse left-handed. He is using OS 9 and wants to know if there is a way to change the mouse arrow (pointer) so that it is angled to the right (for a left handed person) instead of to the left (as most right-handed people like)?
Does anyone know of a way to do this in OS 9 and/or in OS X? He actually has two computers one running each OS.
    Thanks!

Great going Niel... been searching for hours!
For OSX this plus Application Enhancer +may work+...

The pointer tool is selected in the tool bar but when I go into the Timeline it defaults to the Hand tool. So when I try and resize the clip length, for example, I can because the Hand tool moves the whole screen.
Its only starting doing this is there a setting to change this?
    Thanks

It's a bug - try trashing your prefs:
    1) Quit Motion.
    2) Navigate to User/Library/Preferences.
    3) Locate com.apple.motion.plist and delete it.

  • Forms 6i and installation on XP problem

We are installing Forms 6i on Xp and get the following error:
some oracle products are currently in use....
We stopped all Oracle explicit services but the message still there and we can't continue
    Any suggestion?
    TIA

HOW TO INSTALL FORMS & REPORTS 6i OVER MS WINDOWS XP OPERATION SYSTEM
    1. Enter the Forms & Reports 6i Release 2 CDROM in the drive.
    2. Run the Program Compatibility Wizard
    From Start Menu->Programs->Accessories->Program Compatibility Wizard
    3. Click the following:
Next->I want to use the program in the CDROM drive->
Next-> Microsoft Windows NT Service Pack 5->
    Next->Next->
Next-> Yes, set this program to always use this compatibility settings->
    Next->No->Next->Finish
    4. During the steps taken during the Program Compatibility Wizard the test
screen actually runs up Oracle Installer and it is possible to perform the
    installation at this stage)
If the decision was taken not to do this at this stage, perform the
installation now by double-clicking on setup.exe.
    5. Note having run through the above steps installing any product via the CD
ROM Windows XP will remember to run in Windows NT 4.0 compatibility mode.
    6. It is recommended to apply the latest patchset after the installation of
Oracle Developer Forms & Reports 6i on Windows XP.
In order to be able to also apply the patchset succesfully, the Program
Compatibiltity Wizard again needs to be invoked.
    a. Specify 'I want to locate the program manually',
    b. Browse for orainst.exe within the <patch extraction directory>\INSTALL
    c. Set compatibility to be 'MS Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 5'.
    d. Again either perform the installation during the compatibility test step
or run orainst.exe from <patch extraction directory>\INSTALL directory
    after compatibility has been set.
