Acrobat asks for EULA

We have Acrobat x reader installed in Citrix.
We have a problem where the user gets prompted to accept the EULA it's only for certain PDF's though not all.
We have reg key changes made to accept the EULA for all users so I dont' believe this is the issue
Examining the PDF types. They are a mix and have been created by various applications including
Crystal Reports
SAP Business One
Acrobat Pro 10.0.1
DynaPDF 2.0.39.409
Adobe Central Output Server Print Agent 5.6 &
Artifex Ghostscript 8.53
Wondering has anyone encountered this as it's more then an annoyance. Reason being the files are being called and opened from an ERP ( Ellipse ) and once the EULA displays all the user can do is click ok. They dont have an option to accept the EULA
As I said before though,on many PDF's it works ok.
Thanks

Make sure you install the Netscape version (for Firefox etc., not the ActiveX version for Internet Explorer).

  • Acrobat asking for a PRN file two times during the process

Hello all, let me explain this a little more :
    - i'm in MS Word (for exemple)
    - i want to convert the DOC into a PDF file
    - i use the "print --> Adobe PDF" or the "convert to PDF" icone (no matter)
    - Acrobat ask me to name the PDF file he will create. I answer
    - then he starts to convert
    - he stops and ask me to name a PRN file (???). I answer
    - he stops again, and ask me to name another PRN file (name must be different from the first one). I answer
    - then, he creates the PDF, and the 2 PRN files (???)
The point is, when i have 20 PDF to create, he stops 40 times... i have no idea why he's doing this.
Of course, the box "print to file" is not checked.
the computer is a Windows XP SP3, with Office 2003 and Acrobat 8 pro from the Creative Suite 3 Design Premium.
It is a shared computer. Everything worked fine before, but someone should have done something wrong on the computer... i do not find what.
    Anyone can help ? ;o)

This is interesting because it is not the box which Acrobat puts up.
That has a title of "Save PDF file as" and a "Save as type" of "PDF
    files".
The box you are seeing is exactly the one you get in Word when
printing to a file (not in other programs). So something is making
Word think it is printing to file - and as long as it thinks that you
    won't get a PDF.
It may be worth looking in the Printers Control Panel and checking the
PORT shown for the Adobe PDF printer. The port should be "Adobe PDF".
If the port is set to "FILE", you will see this effect.

  • Acrobat asks for a qualifying upgrade serial, but it won't accept it

I have a new computer, and want to install Acrobat XI on it.  It has loaded it on the computer, but when I try to start the program, it said I had a correct serial but that I needed a qualifying upgrade, serial, so I put in the serial for my 9 version, (which I got from the Adobe Website) but it won't accept it.What should I do?

Contact Adobe Support thru chat and explain your issue to them.  They might be able to see something in your account or the version you had to help get you thru the activation.

When I try to combine two pdf's, it asks for a permission password and says the documents are protected; however, I didn't put any protection/security in the documents.  I assume it is a default security under the enhanced security settings of the Acrobat Pro XI which I recently purchased.

Acrobat (Pro or Standard) does not apply a "default" protection. It appears that someone or some other process has applied protection.
    Be well...

I don't know how that is possible, since Cloud accounts do not use a serial number... you download & install & activate Cloud programs with your Cloud log in to your paid account

I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and the serial number.  It is asking for an older serial number?  Please help?

    Hi juneb55782770,
I believe that you have an upgrade version of Adobe Acrobat Pro, in this case it will ask for the serial number of the previous qualifying version.
You can find your old serial number using this link : Find your serial number quickly
Hope this will resolve your issue.
Please reply if you still experience any issue.

  • Reinstalling Acrobat 8 Pro from CS3 Design Premium, asking for Photoshop Elements 6 CD??

    Hi.
I use a Macbook Pro with Leopard OS X version 10.5.8, 2.6 Ghz Intel Core Duo, $ GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM.
I use Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium which came with Acrobat 8 Professional. Now, for a while I've been having issues updating Acrobat because it said it had been modified blah blah and something about plugins being disabled, so to rectify reinstall and run updates. I've seen alot of people on forums with this same issue.
For a long time I ignored this as the program was still working, but today it urked me enough to unistall (which I did by dragging it from the applications to trash) and try to reinstall.
So I tried. Put the CD in, selected only Acrobat 8 Pro for reinstallation, all went well until it asked me to put in the Photoshop Element 6 CD.... which I never had. Although the program does come on the CD. So i'm left confused, without acrobat pro and wishing i had never uninstalled!
I hope this makes some sort of sense. Any help would be much appreciated!

I resorted to using the live chat feature that Adobe have on the website. We found that once everything was uninstalled and then just reinstalled Acrobat alone, I wasn't asked to insert the Photoshop Elements 6 CD to continue and everything was fine. No problems. But, when I tried to then reinstall the rest of the suite, it asked for the CD.
So, the way to avoid it asking for the CD was to uninstall CS3 Design Premium completely and then reinstall all the programs. And everything seems to be working fine.
Maybe this was an obvious solution, but I didn't want to risk uninstalling all the programs only to be asked for a non-existent CD when reinstalling.
Anyway, hopefully someone else will find this helpful.

  • Acrobat 9.4 and 8.0 suddenly asking for serials-not accepting original numbers

I own CS2, CS3 Web Premium and Design Premium and CS4 Design Premium. After not having opened Acrobat 8.0 or 9.0 in some time, when I opened 9.0 today it asked for a serial. I looked up my serial and entered it only to be told that it was an invalid serial. Needing to use Acrobat immediately, I then opened 8.0 and the same thing happened. so I called support and spoke with someone in India (of course) who, after a half hour had no explanation for the problem and no solution other than to re-install my apps, which I do not happen to have with me on the road. He did check the validity of my Adobe accounts and the serial numbers, but to no avail. I was out of time, so I had to revert to using Acrobat 7.0.
What's going on here? Has anybody else been experiencing similar problems recently?

Damn, nobody replied to you and your problem. I have the same here: Acrobat Pro is updated automatically but now it cannot start up as it asks for a serial number and my CS4 number doesn;t work. It seems it isn't linked with the CS4 serial number or so.
    ADOBE please help us out!!!

  • Acrobat 10 pro doesn't ask for validation code

installing acrobat10 pro on imac with 10.8.  When I try to open first time it doesn't ask for validation code. Application opens for a few seconds then crashes.I've tried installing 3 times with same results. What am I missing?

I thought I was buying the complete suite but it came as CS and Acrobat as separate discs, but I found a fix on one of the forums. I had to throw away an adobe folder that held the registration for CS and then it asked for Acrobat registration. Apparently I need to install Acrobat before CS?
    Thanks for your response.

  • Acrobat keep asking for user password

Hi, I'm on Mac OS X SL 10.6.7.
Every time I open Adobe Acrobat Pro 9, Mac OS X ask for my User Password. So, I enter my password and the Acrobat open with no problem. The same happens when opening a PDF file, it ask for my OS X user password in order to open Acrobat. This is not a serious issue, 'cause I get to finally open the program, but it is really anoying...  I don't know how to fix this, is the only program that do this, I have deactivated the request for this password when opening programs in Onyx, but nothing works...
I have this problem since an Acrobat update long ago, can't remember when exactly... Before that this never happen
Sorry for the English, it's only my third languaje, hehe
"Enter your password for that Adobe Acrobat can make changes"
    Thanks for the support everybody!!

This first thing to try is to fix permissions using Disk Utility or Onyx. You can also try to use Onyx to delete the user and system caches on your computer. I forget if Onyx allows you to look for corrupt preference files, but Applejack allows you to do that. One of those might do the trick.

  • Acrobat 8 Pro Installation asks for a non-existent file

I just did a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit on my Alienware laptop, FINALLY replacing the beta version. When I try to run the installation of Acrobat Pro 8 it gets most of the way through then stops, putting up a dialog instructing me to install my Vista DVD and point to AdobePDF.dll which is to be found in C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Xtras\AdobePDF\i386. This, of course, is absurd, as there is not such folder on any installation disk ... but I happen to have a Vista install disk, so I looked anyway, searching all over the disk with no luck. Then I looked on my Windows 7 disk. No success in finding the errant file there, either. They I checked that folder on my desktop computer, which has the identical operating system. I found an AdobePDF64.dll file and offered it to the installer, but it didn't like it. I even checked an old WinXP 32-bit computer I had laying around, but no such file exists there. I'm stuck. I cancelled out of the dialog demanding the .dll file and the installation proceeded to conclusion. The resulting Acrobat installation reads PDFs fine, but doesn't write them. Any clues?
    Thanks,
    Lanny T.

Thanks for chiming in, Bill, but it seems like you missed my comment about checking my other computer, same OS, same Acrobat 8, and it installed fine into 64-bits. It didn't ask for any files from other disks, and I've been using it on that system for almost two years in that environment. I am puzzled, though, as to why all files needed for installation of any program would not be included on the installation disk.
