Acrobat CS6 first launch issue
I don't seem to be able to launch Acrobat CS6 for the acceptance of the license agreement. I only get a blank page with the Quit and Accept buttons at the bottom.
Is this a known issue?

Really odd First Launch issues
Hello All,
I am having som really, really odd issues with my PowerMac G4...
Everytime I start-up from a cold boot (I turn it off during the night...) I return in the morning, and it can't see my network!
I usually just restart again, and everything is fine.... but last friday, I had to fight with it for close to an hour to get it back working.
No patches have been applied, no setting have been changed, it's on a APC UPS system.. it is just used as a workstation...(graphical work)
It is running 10.3.9... (and has been since it was available, this issue has been going on for about a month now)
Any clues to this slightly aggrivating problem?
I don't really want to get a new Desktop until a Commercial MacIntel machine is available.

Why turn it off? Leave it on all night since OS X runs maintenence on the computer during the night. This could be part of problem . I would also suggest booting up from the install disk and running disk utility from it and repairing permissions.
Also, is it possible your APC UPS system is getting turned off at night too? Perhaps the battery is going bad and just needs replacing?

Repeated message "Before proceeding you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the End User
I am now getting repeated pop-ups of a dialog box that says:
Before proceeding you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the End User License Agreement.
However, there is no menu command or preference to do so in either Adobe Acrobat Reader X version 10.1.6, or Acrobat Pro X 10.1.6 CS6 (I'm a CS6 subscriber)
How can I make this annoying dialog go away? What caused it to start appearing?
I'm running OSX 10.8.2 on a recent iMac, Safari 6.0.2 (8536.26.17)There seem to be at least two different problems.
Some people need to run a copy of Acrobat/Reader and accept the agreement which appears (just pops up).
Some people have something worse.
I recommend checking in Applications to see if there are any other Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader apps shown, and start them. -

Hi i have an iMac with 10.9.3 and when i tried to open a PDF link or a PDF document in Safari 7.0.4 this message appears: "Before proceeding you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the End User License Agreement". What can i do to solve this?
Back up all data before making any changes.
Please take each of the following steps until the problem is resolved.
Step 1
If Adobe Reader or Acrobat is installed, and the problem is just that you can't print or save PDF's displayed in Safari, you may be able to do so by moving the cursor to the the bottom edge of the page, somewhere near the middle. A black toolbar should appear under the cursor. Click the printer or disk icon.
Step 2
There should be a setting in the preferences of the Adobe application such as Display PDF in Browser. I don't use those applications myself, so I can't be more precise. Deselect that setting, if it's selected.
Step 3
If you get a message such as ""Adobe Reader blocked for this website," then from the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
and check the box marked
Allow Plug-ins
Then click
Manage Website Settings...
and make any required changes to the security settings for the Adobe PDF plugin.
Step 4
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
/Library/Internet Plug-ins
In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens by pressing command-V, then press return.
From the folder that opens, move to the Trash any items that have "Adobe" or “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari.
Step 5
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it, if it's present. The same goes for a plugin called "iGetter," and perhaps others—I don't have a complete list. Don't remove Silverlight if you use the "Netflix" video-streaming service.
Step 6
Do as in Step 4 with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari. -

Need a fix!Hopefully this helps: I had one plugin (Vectorworks) which I deleted and now it opens. Try deleting any plugins if you have any if you've run out of options. Took me hours to figure that out.
On a side note, Yosemite sucks. Spread the word. -
Acrobat will now launch or crashes soon after the launch (Creative cloud):
for this issue:
Launch any other product such as (photoshop, Indesign CS 6.0 etc....)
Click on help>Deactivate and deactivate the product.
Once done with that close and relaunch the deactivated applciation.
You will get a activation window.
Click on "License the software" option and later with the Adobe ID and password reactivate the product.
Launch Acrobat applciation and it should be launching fine now. (Note: don't rename the cache.db file)Grizzly wrote:

At first launch of a fdf file, Windows installer takes more than 30 min
I updated my Acrobat 9 software. After that, I noticed that at the first launch of a .fdf file, the Windows intaller works for about 30 min (during which time I cannot do anything) before opening the file. After that, evryting seems normal. I have Acrobat 9 on several machines (University License) and this happens for each of them. I have instructed my co-workers to rename the .fdf files as .pdf to avoid this problem, and to only try to open theur first .fdf file when they know they have at least 30 min free... Why is it so ? This problem did not occur with previous versions of Acrobat.
Just for the heck of it, I renamed a FDF file to a PDF file and tried to open it, no go. I was able to import a FDF to the original PDF. The install option is a bit of an issue and I am not sure what to say to that. It may be looking for the PDF file on the hard drive and not actually be trying to install Acrobat. I opened a FDF in the same folder as the PDF and it opened right up. Otherwise, I think the location of the PDF has to be encoded in the FDF file. The form name is typically at the end of the FDF file (OPEN in notepad or such to look at the details of the FDF). You will not that it does not start as %PDF, but %FDF.
As I mentioned, Acrobat is likely looking for the original document listed at the end of the FDF file. -
Acrobat won't launch/start-up. It gave me "Acrobat X quit unexpectedly." and refuse to load.

I did a fresh installation of Mastercollection CS6 on my new macbook. The other softwares such as photoshop, illustrator work perfectly fine except for Acrobat X.
It just simply won't start and it kept giving the "Acrobat X quit unexpectedly." I tried re-installing CS6, updating it to the latest version and re-activation but it is still the same error.

The Adobe chat support proposed a few solutions (reinstall, reactivate, repair disk permission) and the last solution works. Managed to get Acrobat to work through the following steps:
1) Un-install Acrobat X
2) Create a new account with Administrator rights
3) Log out and login using new account
4) Install Acrobat X
5) Launch Acrobat X
Acrobat works on the new account but the same problem persists on the old account. Both accounts have the same administrator rights, but according to Adobe chat support, there's a difference between a built-in Admin and newly created Admin on mac which I have absolute no idea.
Anyway I just migrated my data from the old account to the new account to make everything work -
Why does CS6 keep having issues with QT32 Server?? Im on a MAC and cannot uninstall QuickTime...
This is not the first time that CS6 has had issues with the QT32 Server.
When opening PP, it stalls on ExporterQuicktimehost.bundle, same for AE and Encoder.
How can i get rid of this issue!!!!No i don't. It seems to be connected with all the QT and h.264 codecs. But i need those codecs for my work...

Adobe Acrobat CS6 won't create documents from my scanner
I am using Windows Vista 64-bit based Adobe Acrobat software from my CS 6 Creative Suite.
I can view pdf documents using Acrobat CS6 Pro but I cannot seem to create a pdf from my scanner as I have in the past with older Acrobat versions.
The scanned document appears and then Acrobat shuts down without any reccommendations.

Acrobat Failure to Launch in Win 7
Why is Acrobat failing to launch in CS 6. I have had to reinstall 3 times. Other CS 6 products don't fail - only Acrobat. I am on a 64 bit machine.
I think that is AA8, but not sure. I do not have CS. You also did not mention it is a x32 or x64 system. The difference is important. Generally the first step is to install the updates. Since you can not open AA, then download them from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows and install in order. You might want to run a repair first (from the Control Panel -- Programs & Preferences).

This problem just started. If I try to launch Acrobat 8, or open a pdf in an email or online, I get the message that "Acrobat cannot be launched..." "You must launch at least one other suite component..."
Here's the situation - I am running Bridge CS4, Photoshop CS4, and Illustrator CS3, and Acrobat won't launch.
It was working fine until today. Please advise, and Thank You in advance...I've had the same problem with Acrobat 8.2.4 and tried the link above, Larry, (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/704315?tstart=0) but without success. I first tried to reinstall without uninstalling (for fear of losing authorization in my library), but in installed 8.0.0 simply crashed over and over again. Then I tried uninstalling the 8.0.0 and reinstalling it from my disk. It came up for a moment but then crashed and continue to crash with five tries. The second time (when it was up for a minute) I tried to get my download of the first patch to bring me up to 8.1.? but when it asked me which Acrobat I wanted to update, the Acrobat I installed was not an option (not lit). Thus I am left for even longer with no Acrobat. Any ideas from anyone?

CC Enterprise Mac AAM wants sign in on first launch of CC app wont accept credentials
We are seeing an issue when the install is part of a monolithic image that randomly when you launch an app for the first time the AAM launches and asks to sign in. We try but it doesn't take our credentials. Have to uninstall and reinstall CC. Then it works fine the next 40 images I lay down. When it works fine, on the first launch of a CC app you see the AAM app icon appear in the dock for a few seconds and then go away. Sometimes the app you initially tried to open opens sometimes not and you have to relaunch the app. Laying down images with Deplotstudio 1.6.1 and 1.6.0.
