Acrobat extended pro - Submit by Email form issue

I have downloaded a trial version of Acrobat Extended Pro that I am reviewing to purchase for work.  I am trialling the creation of a form that I want users to submit via email. - I want the completed PDF to be submitted in the email, which the help information states can be done.  I have placed the Submit by Email button on the form, but I don't have the option of selecting the 'Submit' tab to be able state that I want the completed PDF to go in the email. Is it because I'm using a trial version or is there something else I am doing incorrectly?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

George,
Thanks But when I go to the Reader Extended PDF option under Save As the Three options that appear are grayed out?  Any Idea how to fix that?

    Hello. I have adobe forms and received the alert that it will be ending in July. Then I received an email about Adobe Acrobat XI Pro which can create forms. I signed up for the free trial and when I began to make a new form it brings me back to Adobe Forms. My question is, when Adobe Forms ends on July 28th will Adobe Acrobat XI Pro be able to create forms or will it now? and if not, then why is adobe advertising for it still?

    What you're calling "Adobe Forms" is really Adobe FormsCentral. The FormsCentral service is indeed going away soon, but you can always create PDF forms (AcroForms) with Acrobat. Acrobat also comes with a desktop version of the FormsCentral desiger, which can be used to create simple PDF forms that can be used apart from the FormsCentral service. So you'll no longer be able to create and host web forms with the FormsCentral service or use PDF forms with the FormsCentral service. You will be able to create standalone PDF forms with Acrobat and simple PDF forms with the FormsCentral desktop app.

    I have Acrobat extended pro 9.0 and cant install it properly

    Are you logging in as the administrator and disabling anti-virus? Is it a S/N issue. If so, you may have an upgrade version and need the S/N from the previous version to register Acrobat. We need to know the message as mentioned by TSN if we are to help further.

  • Are Distributed Forms created in Acrobat XI Pro compatible with Response Forms in Acrobat X Pro?

    I want to be able to use distributed forms (created in Acrobat XI Pro) that I have received back through email with Acrobat X Pro.  That is, I want to be able to import the form information that is being sent back to me into a response form in Acrobat X Pro. Is this kind of "forward-compatible" issue possible?
    Or, since I created the distributed forms in Acrobat XI Pro, can I only import data from those forms in an appropriate response from in Acrobat XI Pro?
    Thanks!

    The distribution technique for email, network folder, or internal server haven't changed between Acrobat X and XI so you should be able to do this; however, it won't be managed through Tracker because you're distributing the form through different programs.

  • Why does Acrobat 9 Pro refuse to run Form Designer?

    I have recently installed Acrobat 9 Pro. When I try to run the Form Designer, it throws an error with the message that there has been an unhandled Exception in Win32 FormDesigner.exe [2548].
    I have looked for this on the Web but found nothing. I have also done a Repair re-installation with no change.
    I am running XP Pro Service Pack 3, and have 4 GB RAM (3 GB available to apps). My cpu is an Intel Core Duo T9600 running at 2.80 GHz.
    Is this a bug in Acrobat or is it likely to be a conflict with, perhaps, my graphics card? The latter is an NVidia GeForce G 105M.
    Thanks.

    I have found the answer: there is plainly a bug in the retail version of Acrobat 9 Pro (as distributed by Amazon, anyway). I found a web thread dealing with problems relating to the Form Designer, and, in the context of a somewhat different issue, it suggested updating, so I went for the update to 9.3.0 (475 MB so a hefty operation). This automatically installed after the download and, hey presto, the Forms module now runs normally.
    So - if you have a problem with the Forms Designer throwing unhandled exceptions, download the update to 9.3.0.

  • Does a client need Acrobat 9 Pro, to use a form created with the program?

    Do you need to have Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro, in order to use and/or view forms and portfolios created with Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro?
    If so, is there a free version that I can direct clients to download, so that they will be able to use and or view documents I am creating with Acrobat 9 Pro?

    Will the user be able to save the form with the data he/she entered?
    That depends upon if the file is specially Reader enabled. For some forms Acrobat Standard or higher is needed to file and save form data.

  • Unable to Share a PDF from Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro for Shared Review-Permissions Issue

    Hi,
    I get the following message while trying to initiate shared review for a document.
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Himani

    No updates recently - except possibly whatever Microsoft updates automatically (security, etc.).
    What is quite strange is this specific isolated instance:
    If I am in a Word document, then highlight and select (Ctrl C) a range of text, then go to Acrobat 9 Pro and try to create a PDF from that clipboard text, I get the above error. However, if I select text from another program, such as a web page, then Acrobat does not complain when I try to create a PDF from the clipboard, and everything proceeds as expected.
    So that makes one think that the issue is with Word; however, I sometimes (and "sometimes" is the operative word) get the error when taking text from Excel. But sometimes not.
    Is it Microsoft? But that is strange, as all this worked a few days ago - specifically on Friday 9/3. I use this feature daily,
    And, as I mentioned before, trying to create a PDF from an entire Word file also does not work (create from File).

  • Update Acrobat extended Pro

    After a computer crash I had to re-install my Acrobat Pro Extended version 9. This was successful and now I have version 9.0 again. However the previous installation had progressively updated to version 9.5. I have run the updater but am informed :There are no updates available at this time". I then look on the website and down load AcrobatUpd945_all_incr.msi hoping to run some updates this was. This does not work either - informed that the patch cannot be run.
    I want to update to where I was before the computer crash as I realise that there are a number of important security issues that were dealt with. I can of course solve the problem by buying the latest version (XI), and indeed I do have a copy of version XI on another machine, but I object to being forced to do this when version 9 works perfectly and I have had no problems for several years. I use Acrobat extensively for creating forms and love the product. Please help direct me on how i can run the appropriate updates. The filed must be somewhere and available. I know that Adobe no longer support version 9, but surely I can retreat to my previous happy state????

    I have successfully updated Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended from version 9.0 to 9.5.5 using the files downloaded as suggested. Many thanks!
    Small note. The files with files names including "me" e.g. AcrobatUpd920_all_me_incr.msp, presumably are meant for updates on Windows ME systems. I tried these as well and they do not run, which is to be expected
    Another Note: It is a lengthy process as there are many individual updates, but not all need the system rebooted afterwards. Fortunately the ones that do actually inform you of this after the update is complete.

  • PHP email form - issue with who it's from

    Hi,
    I've got a referral page on my site where the user puts in their details and a friends details and the form fires off a email to the friend. The form is in HTML and posts it to a PHP file. The problem is I get in the email for who it's from:
    from
    "Scott Bradshaw"@server74.ukservers.net
    I don't want the
    @server74.ukservers.net
    in their.
    Is this an issue with PHP files and forms or is their a way round it? I know I could do a mailto: form but don't want to. What are my options?
    Thanks, Scott

    I'm making the website for someone and they had the hosting set up already but thanks for telling me. I think this is right what I've done:

    $RefName = Trim(stripslashes($_POST['RefName']));
    $RefEmail = Trim(stripslashes($_POST['RefEmail']));

    mail("[email protected]", "Referral details", $Body2, "From: [email protected]");
    // redirect to success page
    if ($success){

    else{
      print "<meta http-equiv=\"refresh\" content=\"0;URL=error.html\">";
    ?>
    I've also got a feedback form thing too, the script above wouldn't work for it I guess as it's protecting against different thing but what's the best way to protect the feedback form? I've heard of a honeypot thing where create hidden form field.
    Thanks, Scott

    Have you recently changed Operating systems (going from X.4.11 to X.5.8 or from X.5.8 to X.6.7)?
    Its possible that you  have Print Driver issues for those printers.
    When I switched to a new Mac (Intel processor) Computer, with X.6, I had to completely abandon my Printer and buy new.
    Go to the website for each printer and downlod the newest version of pRint Driver for your system.
    Down load the most current version of the Driver.
    Now go to Printer Utility or Printer/Fax System Preference.
    remove and delete current driver, Close out of Printer/Fax or Printer Utility.
    Now install Print Driver you downloaded.
    go back to Printer/Fax or Printer Utility and have it locate the printer.
    Now make it Default.
    In your case repeat the above with your secondary Printer.
    Now, if you have X.6.7 Installed go to apple.com and look for this : http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1377 , Install.
    Then run Fontbook and  verify fonts. (remove any that don't verify or Find a Font repair utility and fix.)
    Next  run Fontbook and look for Resolve Duplicates.
    Now remove any duplicates found Place those in a zip archive, then place somewhere for safe keeping (may have removed the version of your font you were using and you would have to swap)
    now after archive have been made and saved, throw originals (you made the zip archive from) in Trash and empty.
    Now restart computer in safe Mode (shift key down on X.6 and shift-S on older OS's) wait until sign in screen shows up.
    Wait for system to completely load.
    Empty Trash.
    Now restart computer normally.
    Now open your Pdf's and try  to print.
    Should print okay now unless you have something not set right in Acrobat.
    You might downlaod and install Reader and see if you can print from there.
    If so you mighthave an issue with acrobat that you may need to remove and reinstall.
    If you need to remove and reinstall , use the Uninstaller that is in the Acrobat Folder in the Application directory.
    Even then you'll still have to remove, Preferences and any files associated with Acrobat except any PDF's and the fonts.
    Then you have to re update Acrobat to current Level.

  • Submit button email pdf issue

    Good day all,
    I have made a PDF form with Livecycle Designer ES and ran into a problem.
    Found out how to insert a button that sends the form by email, as PDF file attachment, so far so good.
    One problem, my form which consists of several text fields, a drop down list and several radio button groups, is sent but only the first radio button group is filled in the attachment, the rest is simply empty...
    Maybe one of you guys guide me in the right direction, I'm lost.
    best regards,
    Henk van den Berg

    You made me think...... wrapping them in sub-forms...
    I tried to go with the original radio buttons, wrapped the pairs up in individual sub-forms and it works prefect now!
    The manual says nothing about this issue, nevertheless many thanks for pointing me towards a good solution man.
    best regards,

  • Acrobat XI Pro flickers when Editing forms

    Hello,
    I am using Acrobat to create documents which can contain quiet a decent amount of fields (like 90 or more). Acrobat flickers on a regular basis when I start to edit these fields (meaning the fields are loaded again and again from top to bottom) which is a big inconvenience.
    Is there any workaround to stop/limit this  behavior ?

  • Acrobat X Pro - serial number and languages issue

    Hello!
    My OS is in English but I'm used to use the Adobe suite in French, so I bought the french version.
    While installing all was OK, the serial number worked.
    Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop work perfectly.
    But when I try to launch Acrobat, it askes me for the serial number. It somehow automatically detects North America while I'm in Europe. And my serial number doesn't work (This serial number is not valid for your product).
    I tryed to change the system language to French and Acrobat worked correctly without asking for the serial.
    Back to English, it asks me for the serial...
    Does anybody have an idea of how to solve issue?? I really hate having my OS in French...
    Thanks!

  • Acrobat 8 Pro - Scan and email without saving document

    Our office recently upgraded from Acrobat 6 to 8. We frequently scan and email documents to our customers around the world, but there is no need to save these documents on our computers.
    In Acrobat 6 we followed these steps and were very happy....
    1.Click CREATE PDF
    2.Select FROM SCANNER (Acrobat scanning pop up menu then comes up)
    3.Click SCAN
    4.The HP scanner menu would pop up and we could make additional adjustments (quality, paper size, etc.) before clicking the scan button on the HP menu to start scanning.
    5. The newly scanned documents are then shown in Acrobat and can be emailed. From this point you can also choose to save the documents to your computer, but most of the time in our particular office the documents are just for one time use and do not need to be saved.
    With Acrobat 8 we are having a problem in step 3 from above. Once "scan" is clicked, we are prompted to name and save the documents we are about to scan in a desired location on our computers. Is there anyway to scan and email without saving the document in Acrobat 8? It would be a real time saver if we did not have to keep deleting these unnecessary files once they have been emailed. Your help is greatly appreciated!

    To email a PDF, it would be an attachment and would have to be saved as a result. Email packages can not e-mail non-existent data.
