Acrobat X - You have created an invalid conversion job.."

I recently purchased a new computer with Windows 7 and have upgraded all my software. I have MSOffice 2010 and the download (trial) version of Acrobat X.  When I prepare a document in MSWord (in either .doc or .docx format) and click on the Create Acrobat icon, I get the message "You have created an invalid conversion job..."  If I try to Print to Acrobat, the program goes into non-responisve mode until I use Task Manager to terminate it.  Thus for all practical purposes a full version of Acrobat X is useless and as a work-around, I transfer the documents to my laptop, which still has an earlier version of Acrobat which works.  I purchased the full Acrobat X and am waiting for delivery of my disk to get a serial number to convert my trial to a registered version.  Is this a problem with the trial version, is my install incorrect, or what?

I have just finished over four hours of support sessions with Adobe and Microsoft support and I think the problem is finally solved.  On Monday  and Wednesday I spoke with two Adobe support personnel and in the second case, I felt that I was teaching him Acrobat. They seemed to want to start at the beginning and after an hour, they finally got to my problem. By that time on Wednesday, I was really frustrated.  I called Adobe support today and got an agent who appeared to be able to start with my description of the problem and investigate from there.  It appeared to be a permissions problem and as a matter of fact when he had me create a second account on the computer, I was able to generate pdf. Why it didn't work with mine, I had no clue.  He did a few things and asked me to uninstall both Office and Acrobat and reinstall.  I got them both uninstalled, and then found that what I thought was my Office installer had a problem which directed me to MS support.  After some time trying to find the correct support, I found someone who downloaded a complete install of Office (not just the install stub) and installed Office and stuck around while I installed Acrobat to see that I got that working, which this time it did.
There was more to the problem than just joboptions files and although I watched each person operate, I couldn't say whether it was an Adobe or Microsoft problem and who or what really solved it.  But it's solved Thanks.

    When you open one of your sites in Muse, you go right to the planning screen.  My screen defaults to the DESKTOP view.  I would love a way that we could see a quick section...maybe split the main screen into thirds from top to bottom where you can see a quick view of your DESKTOP version, your TABLET version and your PHONE version if you have all three created.
    I thought of this just now because there was an important link on my client's website that needed changed.  I made the change, and then minutes later, I remembered that I had recently also done a TABLET version for my client too and I had completely forgotten about it.  So I went back in to Muse, clicked on the TABLET tab and changed the link there as well. 
    As it is now, the only way I can tell that I have done a different version is because the plus mark is gone before the word on the tab.  Even changing the color of the tabs for the versions you HAVE created would maybe help jog someone's memory not to forget to update the other version as well.

    Does anyone know how to have Edge Animate objects that utilize "_top" in an open url trigger make the Muse site that they are a part of open a new window/tab with that action (as opposed to having it open the url in the current page, or using "_blank" in the trigger)?

    When you eneter information into iTunes Producer for uploading, the info must match what is in the internal metadata. In this case, the book is called Mississippi, but in  iTunes Producer it is spelled Misssissippi. There is an extra "s". This will cause an error.

    Yes it is more or less compatible, except the use of 32 bit plugins, which is prohibited from now on. So although you're able to open Logic projects as far as down to v5 I believe, it is advisable to remain for 'adding and tweaking' in your pre LPX environment.

    You confuse the passphrase with the keys. Your passphrase may be seven characters long but your keys are not. The passphrase is used to generate the keys which you can see in the fields key 1-4. Those keys are the keys which you have to enter into your computer. The passphrase won't work often because it is not standardized how to derive the keys from the passphrase. Thus enter key 1 into the computer and make sure you have selected key 1 as transfer key if your router has the option.
    The key in the router is in hexadecimals. The computer should easily recognize the format. The key is 5 or 13 bytes long. In hexadecimals each byte has two digits thus your key is either 10 or 26 hexadecimals long. With 128bit keys it is the latter.
    I would recommend to use WPA or WPA2 with pre-shared key instead. WEP can be cracked within minutes. WPA is considered secured. Plus there is only the passphrase. For WPA/WPA2 the way how to derive the actual key from the passphrase is standardized. Thus there is nothing to confuse...

    I went to play a youtube video, my entire screen flashed, when the screen came back, the youtube video screen was green. I refreshed the page and my system stopped- a blue screen appeared and something about verifying disk or something. My system the restarted, and when I opened firefox, it first said preparing updates and when it did finally open, the new updated version, of course, I could not restore my previous session.

    I work for an organization that has purchased adobe livcycle designer suite which includes Livecycle reader extensions. However we do not really have a need (besides perhaps per the EULA), nor the technical support to extend reader documents using the server based LiveCycle Reader extensions. We will definitly be collecting info from over 500 receipients so per the adobe acrobat license agreement:
    16.8.3 For any unique Extended Document, Customer may only (a) Deploy that Extended Document to an unlimited number of recipients, but Customer shall not extract data from more than five hundred (500) instances of such Extended Document (or any hardcopy representation of that Extended Document) that contains data from a recipient; or (b) Deploy an Extended Document to no more than five hundred (500) recipients without limits on the number of times Customer may extract data from a recipient from that Extended Document. Obtaining additional licenses to use Acrobat Standard, Acrobat Pro, or Adobe Acrobat Suite shall not increase
    the foregoing limits (that is, the foregoing limits are the aggregate total limits regardless of how many additional licenses to use Acrobat Standard, Acrobat Pro, or Adobe Acrobat Suite the Customer may have obtained).     Thank you for providing the detailed description of the problem.
    The contents of the password-protected PDF document are encrypted (so that nobody can read the contents until the correct password is entered).
    Acrobat DC mobile products (for iOS and Android) have the known limitation where changes cannot be saved to encrypted PDF documents.  Therefore, users are not able to make any changes (e.g. adding comments/annotations or filling out forms) to encrypted PDF documents.

    I am currently using elements 10 on Mac.  Every year I create a new catalog since there are 20,000+ photos per year.  I thought it would be easier to manage that way.  I have been creating a new catalog folder where the catalogs are saved, and then copy all the files from last year into the new year.  Then I have open elements go into the new catalog and delete all the thumb nails that were from the previous year.  This is a very slow process since it won't let me do too many at once.  Also, Elements 10 is not working that well on Yosemite so I am thinking of upgrading to elements 13.  My bottom line question is, do I really need to have more than one catalog?

    - I have already reported the bug about not being able to delete a big number of files at the same time. It's sort of acknowledged, but without any clear hope of solution. When I upgraded to PSE13 in Windows, I could see that there was an improvement due to the fact that it is now a 64 bits application which can use all of my 8 GB RAM. The problem is that the process uses all the available RAM progressively, and aborts when there is no more. So, we should avoid workflows implying mass deletions.

    Is there a way to change the tempo? I know you can set it as you create the new project, but once you have created it, can you change the tempo, particularly on the metronome? And is there a way to hear it without hitting record?

    on the left side of the numerical display click and select "project", then click on the tempo to adjust it.
    the metronome can only sound during record and playback (if selected to in prefs)

    Please do not confuse this with CUA.
    If you have created a new role in the child system, and want to see it in the CUA, goto PFCG-> Environment -> "text compare for CUA system"
