Actionscript ignored when FLV is skipped

Hello, I hope someone can shed some light on this issue. I
have built a short presentation using Flash CS3. The presentation
was to be small enough to be emailed and delivered as a single
file. There are some short video clips contained within the
presentation that I have imported to the timeline and placed inside
movie clips.
The presentation is essentially a number of slides, and so I
have added forward and back buttons to navigate with.
The problem occurs when a user clicks either forward or back
while a FLV is playing. The player appears to ignore any remaining
actionscript on the timeline and play through to the very end of
the presentation at a very high speed for some reason.
The only way I have got around this problem is to remove the
forward and back arrows while the FLVs are playing, and return them
to the stage once the FLV has stopped, but this makes the
presentation difficult to navigate.
Are there any suggestions as to why this would happen? I
don't think it happens when you run the FLVs from an external
position into a FLVPlayBack component for example, so it may be an
issue with actually importing the FLV to the file itself.

thanks for the response, im obviously new to actionscript. your reccomendation worked perfect.
so what i did: for each layer of embedded bone animations i made a new actionscript layer with unique code that controlled just that bone animation. so i repeated this for all other embedded bone animations and achieved the result i was looking for.
and your also right with gotoAndPlay(1) at the end of the script, at first my assumption was that i need something to reroute me back to frame 1 after the animation is played while the user still holds their mouse over the hotspot. i removed this line of code and it still works perfectly.

Yes, of course. iTunes was around before there was an iTunes Store. And I think Apple cares MORE that you purchased an iPod, and LESS about where you get your music to play on the iPod.
You can buy music the "old school" way, on CD, and "rip" them into your iTunes library using iTunes.
You can download/buy music from other sources, as longs as the format is MP3 or AAC, and don't use copy protection (DRM). NOTE: iTunes Store music downloads do not use any DRM.

They offer a utility called Amazon MP3 Downloader, which automatically places your downloads into your iTunes library.
If the source just provides you with the downloaded song files, all you need to do is open a window showing the files or the folder containing the files. Run iTunes and select Music in the sidebar, under LIBRARY. Then drag the songs files or the folder containing the files from its window to the iTunes window, and drop them there. iTunes will add the songs to your iTunes library.
Once the songs are in your iTunes library, you can automatically sync or manually load them onto your shuffle.

Is there a way to have the Filters in Analysis be ignored when rpt is run?

When i'm creating/testing a new report in the Analysis in OBIEE (11g ver), i'm generating some charts and graphs in a potential report which sift through large amounts of data. But when i'm creating/editting, i just want to filter on something specific so when i return to the analysis, its quick. However, when i launch the report in the dashboard, i dont want that filter being applied -- i want the prompts i've set to do all the filtering. And as i return to the analysis mode, my filter would be there still and applied so i don't have to wait long for it to render. Is there a way to have the Filters in the analysis be ignored when the report is run in the Dashboard or run outside of being in the analysis mode?

As far as I have experience working with OBIEE. Any filters you create in reports inline are overwritten by filters in the dashboard prompt, if they created with the same columns and presentation tables. To stop this behavior, there is an option to mark your inline report filter as Protected, so it won't be overwritten. You should try though.

CornerRadius ignored when have scrollbars.

With the following code, if you drag the divider up so there is a vertical scrollbar you see a little of the green background in the upper left, meaning the cornerRadius is being ignored when there are scrollbars. If you drag the divider down you see this does not happen when using a viewstack.
How can I get this to not happen?

is it possible in cisco works to immediately archive the configuration of router, when someone leaves Config mode?
if yes , can someone guide how to accomplish this?

I think you want to use the automatic action for config fetch which comes with ciscoworks, right?
Did you check that the syslog message from the router came to the server?
If yes, is it in the right form? (I think it is)
I have sometimes the problem with this function that the Analyser was full of syslog messages and drops all new syslogs.

I keep receiving this message on my illustrator files. They are linked to a file in Indesign that when saved as a PDF prints the wrong colors. I have been trying to fix this for two days. I have look online for answer in forums and articles and nothing works i am completely burn out, lost and angry Please help. This is a Picture book project that can not to sent to the author in this condition.

Your Illustrator files have images linked in them?
THis message tells you that color management had been set up differently when you created the document. In color management settings you have the choice if color profiles in linked images are ignored (and Illustrator uses just the CMYK numbers) or if those profiles are honored (and Illustrator converts the CMYK numbers according to the image profile and your settings into the Illustrator document's color profile).
What makes the whole thing even more complicated is that you placed the thing into InDesign.
So there might be 4 different color profiles interacting with each other:
1. the linked image's profile
2. the AI document's color profile
3. the InDesign document's color profile
4. The export profile in InDesign.
Is your color management set up and synchronized in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign?
Is it possible to place the images directly in InDesign? That is: create vector content in Illustrator and have photos separately? Then combine them in Illustrator?
How do you know they print the wrong colors? Just seeing them on your monitor won't tell you, unless your system is correctly color calibrated.

Actionscript function when hovering

Has anyone ever tried to run an actionscript function when
hovering over the <a>Anchor tag of HTMLtext?
Here is the situation. I have an HTML text field and I want
to be able to embed definitions of key words. In turn, when the
user hovers over the world, I’d like to open a window
containing the definition.
While one can add a "Hover" effect with CSS, i wish to run a
function when an EVENT LINK is hovered over. Can anyone suggest a
way to do this or maybe a workaround?

Hi! This interests me as well, so I'll be following this
thread with keen interest. Although the following doesn't answer
the question, it does seem to eliminate the possibility of using an
anchor tag in the way that you have suggested, the Alert Box in the
anonymous function reveals the text and its formatting but the
anchor tag has been stripped out.
But I'm hoping as I guess would you, that the document object
model caters for the immediate objects (such as your illustrative
tag had it not been stripped out) in the event bubbling phase ...
as the Alert box reveals a rich set of tags I should think that
there is at least a little hope here.

Error messages ignored when saving an invoice

Error messages are ignored when an approver saves an invoice. Though messages are still displayed after the check action - It doesn't stop the approver from saving the invoice.

suppose that i have a .dmp file which has tables, indexes, and data,
and i also have a schema A which already contains tables and data, without indexes
is it possible to use IMPDP to import(or say create) all indexes from .dmp to schema A?
the relevant question is, when using IMPDP...TABLE_EXISTS_ACTION=SKIP, if the table already exists, will IMPDP ignores the relevant indexes creation?

actually, i have imported over 100G data to the new server, but after look into the new server, most of the indexes are missing somehow, i don't want to drop the schemas and re-import, it will cost me a whole day to finish, any suggestions?

What happened to skip or ignore when copying files?...

When I go to copy files into another folder, if some of those files are there, I now get "keep both", "stop" or "replace".
Didn't there used to be a "skip" or "ignore" before or is that just in my mind? LOL

But when you click "Stop" it just stops, it doesn't keep copying and ignore the duplicates. It's a bit silly. LOL

Cue Points Lost When FLV URL Is Relative

hi all
i've got an flv which i have put a cue point in at the end
(to launch a new swf when the flv is finished). everything works
fine but my contentPath displays an absolute url. when i change
this to a relative url the cuePoints field goes blank and loses the
information previously inserted.
i need to upload the swf to a proof, development and live
server so i need the url to be relative, but retain the cue point
info.
any help greatly appreciated.

ok so i managed to get it working by bypassing the cue points
in the flv, putting the following actionscript into the timeline
and changing the flv contentPath to a relative location. while this
works fine for a single action at the end of the film im still
unsure what to do to retain the flv cuepoints when specifying a
relative contentPath... any ideas?!

AJAX and Actionscript to Control FLV Playback Skin

I have AJAX running on an application that opens up a new panel displaying a flash video. The flash video uses one of the FLV Playback skins. When I play the video on the panel, everything is fine. But, when I close the panel with the javascript-enabled button, the video would still play even though the panel and video are "gone" from the html page.
I was looking into using javascript to talk to actionscript to control the FLV Playback skin's stop function so that when the close panel function is activated, the video play's stop function would be called. How do I find out the path to and the name of the stop function inside the playback skin? Is it possible to call the stop function inside the FLV Playback skin? Or, would it be easier to create my own video controller?

Make button invisible when flv starts again

Hi,
Please, can some one help me and tell me how to have a button
instance become invisible when the play button from the skin.swf
file is clicked? There may be another way to acomplish what I am
trying to do.
I have a Flash 8 file with a FLVPlayback component pointing
to a FLV file. I am using an external skin for the controls. When
the video is finished I have it displaying a button, but if the
person wants to start the video again the button needs to become
invisible again. I am assuming I need to create an actionscript
that says if the video is playing (at all ) the button is
invisible. But how?.. is the big question for me.
Any help would be great.

This is possible. You need actionscript to check the status
of the video, if it is playing then the button goes invisible. This
is called an event listener. You need to give the component an
instance name - like vid. Then use this code on the frame:

Serial number ignored when I try to authorize AP 2.01 Trial

I have just bought the AP 2 online and immediately received a serial number in the mail. I started the AP 2.01 trial and pressed "Authorize". I entered my name and the serial sent to me, but it is completely ignored? When I press ok (or done? I forget..) the same Trial log on appears.
Restarting doesn't help.
Authorizing from the menu inside AP 2.01 doesn't help
Following the support page hint and deleting the file in Library/application support/Proapps/ doesn't help.
I have carefully entered EXACTLY the provided serial including - doesn't help.
I have copy and pasted the serial to avoid mistakes..... doesn't help.
HEEEELP, my trial runs out in 9 days and it won't activate!!! What am I doing wrong?
