Actionscript stopallsounds working, need a button to unpause FLV sound

I haven't mastered getting the skins for the flv to work for
me. I have been unable to match sound and video in flash when I
import them separately even though they match up seemlessly in
vegas.
I have put a stopallsounds button on the movie, and it works
fine. When I try to add one that resumes the sound, nothing
happens. Can someone please help?!?

Actionscript not working right

sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but it seems like the right place.
basically, i have some actionscript which works fine when i export an SWF using flash, or run the swf as a standalone, but when i make the SWF a projector / exe file, the actionscript fails to work correct.
what the actionscript is, is an rss feed that scrolls, and when it gets to the end its supposed to refresh and continue scrolling. as an exe its scrolling fine, but not refreshing. it picks it up when it first runs, but nothing after that. when i run the SWF it refreshes fine.
is there something in the settings that i need to change?

ignore this, i've sorted it. didn't realise that in the flash player settings manager you could put in EXE's as well. put it in, and it works fine.

FocusListener not working for abstract button

I think isFocusable() do that... Iam not sure about it.. Could anyone explain about it.

Need a Button behavior: go to next chapter

I have a book with about 20 files in it. Each file is a separate chapter. On my master pages, I need two buttons: one that jumps to the next chapter and one that jumps to the previous chapter. But, those destinations are different for each document in the book.
Is there a way to be able to set up a couple of master buttons that do this, or do I need to set this up manually and never resynchronize my master pages again? I suppose I could set up 20 different master pages, and then apply the appropriate master page to the body pages of each document, but that seems excessive. I don't want 400 master pages. I just want a couple of buttons that jump to the next chapter.
Any ideas?

You can probably do this with either a dedicated TOC, index, hyperlinks, or cross-references. i haven't tested these beyond a quick experiment, so no guarantees one or more will suit your need.
* For the TOC method, you could apply a dedicated paragraph style, named for the chapter, to a paragraph in each file, then create a mini-TOC in each file that looks for the dedicated paragraph style in the next and previous files.
* For the index method, you'd need to create a dummy first-level topic in each file with a sub-level topic named for the chapter (for convenience). In each file, create an index for the book on a master page that's applied to all pages - you might need to create a based-on master page that's used by all master pages for this. When you generate the index, place it on the based-on master page, delete all entries except the chapter-named sub-entries, and synchronize it across all files in the book. This will create clickable PDF links to all chapters. In the index on each chapter's based-on master page, delete the all the entries except the two that point to the next and previous files. When you update the indexes, you'll have to delete the unwanted entries.
* For the hyperlink method, create links in each file to the next and previous file.
* For the cross-references method, create a cross-reference to the next and previous files. IDCS4 has built-in cross-references. For CS3 and CS2, you can use the free cross-reference script by Teus de Jong (search Google), or the commercial InDesign cross-references plug-in from dtptools.com, or virginiasystems.com.
* You'll need create a button-like graphic for the links you create with any of these methods..
* I'm not near my IDCS4 machine, so I can't check if it can export book chapter files separately. IDCS3 only exports a book as a single PDF. Also, in IDCS3, the links in the single PDF point to the destination chapters in the same document. If your goal is to create separate PDF chapters, you'll need to modify the links to point to the correct files.
i think the TOC would be simplest to maintain, especially if you capture and include all the chapter links in every file, like a thumb-tab.
Let us know if any of these off-the-top-of-the=head approaches work for you.

HT4085 can't ghet sound on i pad. when pushing side button icon appears showing sound is on. Must be something else that needs to be set differently. Side switch is set to mute. Any one experience this and have a solution

There are two different sound levels, one is the normal sound level and the other one is sound affects, turn the volume up on buttens and view the multitakting bar and then swipe to the left the show the sound volume, in settings you can change which one is set to buttens also.

How much Actionscript do I need to know to create basic Flash projects?

I have recently started learning Flash CS3.
This is what I'm trying to do.
1. Create Animated Banners for websites
2. Create Flash Slide shows, Buttons and Image scroller
(Scroll Thumbnails)
3. Flash websites (In the Future)
I am not interested in creating Games, movie animations or
anything other then what I named above.
So my confusion is, how much Actionscript do I need to learn?
How do I start to learn Actionscript?
I have been reading many post regarding similar situations
but I just need to know which direction to take.
The deal is, I am more into learning ASP.NET 3.5, PHP,
Javascript.
But need just a little touch of flash.
I could use these pre-configured Scripts and software that
can create Flash banners and slide shows but I would like to learn
to do these on my own.
Where do I start?

Actionscript stopped working...

Actionscript stopped working. I reinstalled Flash but it didn't help. What happend? How to fix it? I'm really pissed off...

It's weird. It works partially. There are no errors during compilation.

I did it. It worked. That's why I wrote it looked like problem with my aplication.
I did something like that:
I created new document and copied buttons, code and everething. It didn't work. Then I created new document, copied only buttons, created new textfield and wrote simple code. It worked. Then I copied my code. It works. Why?

Simplification Needed: Multiple buttons with similar execution

A vi I am currently working on needs many buttons on the front panel. However, the execution for each is quite simple and similar all throughout.The following figure shows the buttons on the left and right side of the Case Structure. Inside the Case Structure, the same commands remain essentially the same except with the change of a number as the input of the Zaber Write vi (in this case it is a 2). Does anyone have a better idea for me to execute these functions in a more compact way?

It depends if your buttons are switch action (any combination of buttons can be true: 2^N possible cases)
or latch action (only zero or one can be true: N+1 possible outcomes).
Here is code for both cases as shown.
(If you want some weird, nonconsecutive case numbers, you can index into a lookup table before going to the case structure.)
Overall, your code shows some very odd programming style that makes little sense. Can you attach the actual program?

wow i dont know who you are getting your phone "fixed" through but its not apple.
Apple does not charge prices like that.
If you got it 1 year ago in september, the hardware warranty has expired by now unless you had your device covered by applecare insurance.
and if it WERE covered by limited hardware warranty, an obvious hardware issue like the power button not working is covered under the warranty UNLESS it was due to accidental damage.
So if you paid 198 dollars, chances are its because you dropped your phone and thats why the button was not working,.
..and even then, the iphone 4 out of warranty/accidental damage replacement fee is 149. not 198.

Is $10 off on second purchase possible with no manual work needed?

Is this possible in BC - New customer makes a purchase (or spends over a certain amount on first order) and they receive an email (or redirected to a page) that says you have just been rewarded with $10 off on your next purchase. This expires on ... and then the next time they log in/make a purchase the script says this is their second purchase so give them $10 off? Is that script possible to work in BC without it taking too long to write? I know you could do a manual discount code > client creates a new discount code and emails the customer directly with it. All discount codes will need to be different to stop them from using it again or passing it around so it expires after 1 redemption. We did have a promotion going that all new customers receive $10 off on first purchase and I guess this is the simple solution so no manual work needs to be done by the client but we're just looking for other ideas. $10 off on next purchase prompts them to buy again. (I'm DD too and its changed my name here strangely).
Best Idea - use the discount codes (Ecommerce - Discount Codes)
Then go into Site Manager - System Emails and update it manually every month (e.g simple text saying "order again before the end of August and receive a 10% / $10 discount by entering code ILOVEAUGUST" - then mid way through August do the same with September.. It is manual work though.
Second idea - we did an error on our website at the very beginning by assigning a few $15 products as a GIFT VOUCHER. We still sent out the products but they got a special user unique code emailed to them (unknown to us) for the same value ($15) as the product they bought. A few super smart customers then went on to do another order and used the code which gave them a $15 discount. Maybe if you were having a special promotion on an item e.g a $50 item bought would give them a $50 credit for their next purchase - then this would work.
