  • Use of "with master data & with out master data" at DTP update level

    Hello experts,
In DTP, I check "with out master data". When I try to send corresponding transactional data, It is showing SID related error. Can anybody suggest what is the use of "with master data & with out master data" at DTP level.
    Thanks in advance,
    Zakir.

    HI
HI in DTP level If you set this indicator, the system terminates the update of the request if no values are available for a data record.
Load the relevant master data before you load the transaction data.
If you set this indicator, the system terminates activation if master data is missing and produces an error message.
If you do not set this indicator, the system generates any missing SID values during activation.
In DataStore maintenance, if you do not set the SIDs Generation upon Activation indicator, the No Update without Master Data indicator in the DTP has no effect.

  • MBP 13" model 7,1 date/time out of synch

What is the cause of MBP 13" model 7,1 date/time out of synch message on start up.  The main battery is flat so I use mains adaptor always.
Is the a mini battery on motherboard for PROM that causes this?
If so, where can I get a replacement?
    Thanks.

I've had that problem before. It's more of a software issue.
I recommend you upgrade to the latest operating system OS X Mavericks for free.

  • Time out problem in BPS

    BPS friends,
We have a planning function to copy Versions based with some filters. The copy function takes 5 hours and times out after that. The function is reaching max buffer size as recommended by SAP so we cant increase the buffer size anymore.
    We are on BW-BPS 3.5.
How can I solve this time out problem? Please respond to me.

    Hi Pat,
How many record did you copy ??
Could you restrict the copy in not 1 package ??
    Package per package ...
    I suggest you ..
    e.g. you have restriction by a 0CALMONTH / something ..
    Then,
You can copy e.g. for January to March, then March to August, etc.
You can automate it by planning sequence.
Hopefully it can help you a lot.

    Niel.

  • How to find active master data source in the bw system

    Hi
Can anyone guide me how to find the active master data source in the bw system

    Hi,
You can use the table ROOSOURCE. The field ROOSTYPE specifies the type of datasource whether Transaction or attributes or text. You could write an abap program to filter the table and give you only master data datasources.
    Assign points if helpful

  • Time out problem while uploading large bpel processes into oracle soa suite

    Hi everyone,
I'm using oracle soa suite 10.1.3.4.0 and I'm encountering time out problem while trying to upload a 5MB bpel process into my bpel process server located in the LAN network. The error is coming from apache common file upload.
Is there a way to increate the connection time out for oc4j to avoid this problem?
    Thanks for any help.

    Hi Marc.
Thanks for your reply. I increased the transaction manager time-out but still I have the same problem. I believe this is something related to oc4j settings and related to upload bpel process. here is my stack trace output:

  • Master data time dependent

    hi bwers,
Can any expert tell me, Under what reporting senarios do we need to matintain master data time-dependent

    Hi,
You do this when you want to maintain the history. Like for 0COSTCENTER master data, most of it is time dependant. As an example, the person responsible for a costcenter...you want to know who it is and also who it was earlier. This can only be done with time dependant master data as it adds the from and to fields to the data.
    Hope this helps...

  • Master data time dependency

Hi if i put the manager as employee in cube then we are loading the data from flat file full load then it will overwrite the manager name in cube for last month
say i have manager name john for month 08
i load the trans data from flat file it will take it
now next manager name john now if i load the data it will overwrite, user want to maintain the history so that if i run the query for month 08 it should show me manager name john and if i run the query for month 09 it should show me manager name john. please help how to resolve this
since making too many time dependent master data will over load the system so user do not want that. also is there any way to load delta from flat file in bw version 3.0
i will reward 100% point if anybody can clarify the approach to make this happen
    soniya

    Hi,
If you set the master data attribute as "time dependent" it will track such changes as well as validity dates.
Of course, you would not make even the majority of master data time-dependent, but in cases where modeling calls for it (such as this), it probably should be utilized.  It will not "overload the system".
Please be clear - while master data InfoObjects contain over-write functionality, an InfoCube does not.  Data loaded into a cube simply is an "insert".
For your generation of delta, note that the ODS object contains a change log mechanism.  This change log can generate a "delta" from a flat file load or any kind of load.  This delta can then be used in other data loads sourced from the change log.
Also, you might consider a technique to load a complete history of master data into an ODS object.  You can model an ODS without any key figures, but be aware the defauly will be "update", where the only complete history is in the change log.  You could implement a "technical key" in update rules, so that each record gets a unique identifier, preventing over-write.  Alternatively, if you are on BI in SAP NetWeaver 2004s, you can use a write-optimized DataStore object, which automatically assigns a unique technical key to each record (so that you have complete history), but has no change log.
Thanks for any points you choose to assign -

  • Bank detials Maintained in Vendor master data with out Sort code / Bank Key

    Hi
We have a Requirement of creating Japanese bank details in Vendor Master Record. But No Bank key / sort code is available.
Even for Russian Bank accounts we donu2019t have any bank key / sort code available from client.
System does not allow to create vendor bank details with out providing Sort code/ Bank key details.
Is there is any way of creating bank details in Vendor master data with out giving Bank key details.
    Regards,
    Karunakar.

    Hi,
I assume you fill in Sort Code in bank number field.
In my company, our bank number is set not to duplicate bank key.
So bank key is simply a reference.  And our bank number field is not mandatory.
If you follow these settings, you can create an abitrary bank key for your vendor bank account.

  • Difference between Activating Master Data and Attribute Change Run

    Hi
Is there any difference between Atribute change run and Activating Master data functionaaly???
    if wha it is???
    can any one explain clearly?
    Thanks
    Chinna

When u load master data and its attribute to ur data target and if u change any data or attributes of ur master data,in order to update new data to ur data target attribute change run is performed.
When u create a characteristic and if u keep it as master data and activated..it is master data activation
    Activating Master Data
When you update master data from an SAP system the master data is imported in an inactive state. You must activate the new master data so that it can be accessed and used for reporting purposes.
For more information, see Versioning Master Data.
Choose the path InfoObject Tree Context Menu of Corresponding Characteristic Activate Master Data.
Upon Activation there are two scenarios to choose from:
The Corresponding Master Data Is Already Being Used in Aggregates in the InfoCube:
If you are already using the available master data in aggregates in InfoCubes, you cannot activate the master data individually. In this case, proceed as follows:
    1. In the main menu, choose the path Tools Hierarchy/Attribute Change.
    2. Proceed as described in System Response upon Changes to Data: Aggregate.
The system now automatically restructures and activates the master data and its aggregates.
Please note that this process can take several hours if the volume of data is relatively high. Therefore, you should simultaneously activate all of the characteristics that are affected by changes to their master data, at regular intervals.
The Corresponding Master Data Is Not Used in Aggregates:
Choose the path InfoObject Tree ® Context Menu of Corresponding Characteristic Activate.
The system now automatically activates the master data so that it can be used directly in reporting.
If there is any change r newly added records in master data..then that particular data will not b avialable for the reporting unless u do activate master data...
if u r using aggregates and then there is any change in master data ...then that particular master data change wil not b available for the reporting unless u do arrtibute change run for that info object.(T-code RSATTR)
Master data attributes and hierachies are used in cube aggregates also. So to do update the latest master data attributes values in the aggregtes attribute change run need to be performed. So Attribute change run also updates the master data attributes in aggregates which is not apart of master data activation.
Text loads do not need attribute change run. Attributes, hierarchies and aggregates need attribute/hierarchy change runs. If you do not have aggregates, just activating the master data is same as attribute change run.

  • Toshiba 48L1433DB - USB time out problems

My USB Ports are not shown on my Source list and I have a "time-out" problem.
If I put a stick in either USB port the media page loads automattically and everything works perfectly but then switches off after an hour or so (on-screen message shows empty port has switched on).
I then have to disconnect the stick and reload it before I can start watching again (Have to fast forward to place where disconnect happened but have to stop every now and then to prevent time out re-occuring)
    Very puzzling

At first you should make sure, that it is not caused by the stick type and/or file format.
Did you check with a stick from another vendor ? Also, does it happen with every file type, or related to certain formats ?

  • Problem activating 'Show Date/Time in Menubar'

    Hallo all,
since the upgrade to Snow Leopard the Time is not shown in the menubar.
I teried to activate 'Show Date/time in Menubar' in System Preferences->Date/time->Clock, but it is not possible to check the corresponding button, it remains unchecked.
In the folder 'System/Library/Coreservices/Menu Extras/' is an empty file 'clock.menu'. For all other menu items appearing in the menubar, e.g. Users, Airport etc.,there is a corresponding '.menu' file which is not empty. Perhaps this is the reason - but how can I repair the clock.menu file? Or is there another reason for the missing date/time?
    Thanks and greetings
    Danny

HI and Welcome to Apple Discussions...
but how can I repair the clock.menu file?
Go to ~/Library/Preferences and move these files com.apple.menuextra.clock.plist amd com.apple.systemuiserver.plist to the Trash.
    Restart your Mac.

  • [8i] Date/Time calculation problem...

So, I am currently facing a situation where I need to calculate the total hours a workstation is in use for each day in a particular time period. I have a table with the log of each time each workstation is used. The problem is, a workstation can be used for any amount of time, starting on any day and ending on any day. This means that a particular entry in the log can span multiple days. I'm not sure how to split the difference between the end date/time of an entry and the start date/time of the entry over multiple days.
Here's a sample table and some sample data for what I'm trying to do:
-- Note: in reality, this table contains more columns
    CREATE TABLE     my_hrs
    (     record_id     NUMBER     NOT NULL
    ,     sdatetime     DATE
    ,     edatetime     DATE
    ,     workstation     VARCHAR2(4)
         CONSTRAINT my_hrs_pk PRIMARY KEY (record_id)
-- Note: sdatetime, edatetime, and workstation CAN all be NULL, though I won't provide
-- any sample data for these situations since I want to ignore them in my results
-- Additionally, there are hundreds of workstations, but I'm only using 2 to simplify the sample data

Thanks in advance for the help!

Thanks, Frank, your explanation helped. My main problem was just that I couldn't picture what that line of the query was doing, even working from the inside out. I learn better through visual and hands-on methods, so to really understand, I had to look at the cross-join of a and h and go line by line. (In case there's anybody who looks at this post in the future and learns like I do, I've posted that data below).
    This definitely solves my problem!
    >
By the way, this query is full of things that could be done better in later versions of Oracle. Generating table a is just one of them. Starting in Oracle 9, you can do a CONNECT BY query on dual to generate exacly how many rows you need. You never have to worry about an upper bound, and it's much faster than using ROWNUM. From time to time you might gently remind the people who decide these things that you're using a very old, unsupported version of Oracle, and that everyone could be more productive if you upgraded.
    >
I could go on and on on this topic.... we have tried and continue to try to convince the powers that be to pay for the upgrades... if it were just Oracle that needed to be upgraded, we might actually have a chance at succeeding. As it is, ...ha.

  • Query Designer Master data Time Dependent

    Hello
    im with this problem
    i have master data:
    material/till/since/price/description
    1/14.01.2010/01.01.1000/20/Material1-old
    1/31.12.2010/13.01.2010/15/Material-new
    cube:
    material/date/quantity
    1/01.01.2010/5
    1/15.01.2010/20
in my querty designer, i put the 0calday with selection options
when i insert for example 01.01.2010
its couting the "material-new" ( 15*5) it shoudlnt
it should calculate the old one. (20*5)
    how can i fix it?
    regards,

    Hi Amit,
At "Query properties" screen, you can define a "Key date".  It can be fixed or it can be calculated from a user-input variable.  If you do not specify one, the default key date value is the date on which the query is executed (today).
For time-dependent data, the key date determines the time for which the data is selected (material price, in your case).  However, there is only one key date per query.  You can't make it dynamic depending on the value of 0CALDAY in every transactional data record.
Perhaps you might consider the option of adding 0AMOUNT to your InfoCube, and precalculate the formula quantity*price using an ABAP routine which reads price from InfoObject Q table, filtering by OBJVERS='A' and DATETO/DATEFROM=0CALDAY.
    I hope this helps you.

  • Session time out problem

    Hi guys
I am using WSAD 5.0. the problem that i am having is that i have a properties file where i give the session time out value along with many other things. and when a user logs in a servlet takes those values from the properties file and sets the session time out value, using session.setMaxInactiveInterval(). but the problem is the session is still maintained even after the stipulated inactive time. Can any one tell me what could be the problem.
Note: when i say session.getMaxInactiveInterval(), i get the value that i have set in the properties file.
    Thanks

You're sure you specified seconds rather than milliseconds?
