Je viens de prendre un abonnement a cleative cloud mais je n'arrive pas a activer !!!!! cleative cloud s'ouvre me demande de confirmé un mail pour activer mais le mail a laquelle il veux l'envoyer ne correspond pas au mail avec le quelle j'ai payer l'abonnement , ce mail n'existe pas et je ne peux pas le changer ! quelqu’un pourrais m'aider ?

Mail.app apparently:
"..uses special headers in each email message to determine if a message belongs to the same thread. If these headers are not present, the subject is used to determine if a message belongs to the thread".
I wish for an option (currently not available) on each message to detach it from a thread.

Disaster Recovery: Active/Passive Mail Flow

Hello. I am planning to deploy an active/passive server environment for Exchange 2013. Here's what I plan to achieve:
EXCHANGE-A - on production site, active (all mail flow goes through here), member of DAG
EXCHANGE-B - on disaster recovery site, passive (mail flow goes through here ONLY when activated), member of DAG
I have tried disabling all receive connectors on EXCHANGE-B, however that causes OWA to delay sending messages for around 20 seconds (messages stuck in Drafts folder before being sent out). I have also tried disabling Exchange Transport services on EXCHANGE-B
but to no avail.
Is it possible to achieve active/passive mail flow server environment? What is the best way to achieve this? I appreciate any leads on this matter.

Shadow redundancy configuration is available on the transport config and any change applied on the transport config parameters will get applied to all the transport servers in our organisation and it not specific to the server level.
Command
to disable the shadow redundancy feature :-
set-TransportConfig -shadowredundancyenabled $false
Note : Above command will disable the shadow redundancy feature for your entire organisation.

ITunes activation E-Mail

I luckily picked up a 64GB iPad from BestBuy today and the setup process went just fine except I have yet to receive the verification E-Mail for my account and its been about 4 hours. Is this normal? It really ***** not being able to download any apps.

How long has it been since you were supposedly sent the activation E-Mail?

I have a question and I'm hoping I can get an answer for, first I want to say that I'm using ipad and I've forgotten the password and after trying for several times the ipad locked it self and asked me to plug it into itunes, so I plugged it and it was plugged for the first time on my laptop and it was new to the itunes it didnt sync it because it was protected with password so I used another way and had it in recovery mode I made the restore and everything went well but after the restore finished the ipad started to ask for an activation e-mail which I didnt know it has in the first place and now my ipad is waiting for it I tried every single e-mail I have but none worked and the e-mail its asking for is for something called where is my iphone or find my iphone , so what must I do know I dont want to leave the Ipad in that way I hope that you can help me as soon as possible.

Thanks for the question. It sounds like Activation Lock was enabled on your iPad before restoring (Find my iPhone was turned on in Settings > iCloud). You'll simply need to sign in with your iCloud Apple ID at the following screen:

Cannot get mail/Incorrect password

I recently restored a replacement phone and now I cannot access my Gmail. I get a message stating "Cannot Get Mail" because of an incorrect password. However, I can log into Gmail in Safari using the password my phone is saying is incorrect. Please help!

First, try these basic troubleshooting steps:
1. To make sure that you're connected to the Internet, open Safari and go to www.apple.com.
2. Log in to your email provider's website to make sure that the account is active and the password is correct.
3. Make sure your settings are correct using Mail Settings Lookup.
4. Restart your iOS device.
5. Delete the affected email account from your device.
     1. Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
     2. Tap the affected email account.
     3. Tap Delete Account.
     4. Add your account again.
Follow these steps for specific alerts.

IOS 7/8 Mail, incorrect message displayed as duplicate of other message

Hello,
A quick search for terms of "duplicate message" yielded a score of threads about multiple copies of messages being delivered. This is different.
In iOS 7/8, I have found that the Mail application will occasionally erroneously display two copies of the same message. The second copy of the message is actually an incorrect display of that message over top of another real message. Tapping the duplicate will not display the missing message. Browsing back to the Root mailboxes view and then straight back into the inbox (for example) always corrects the display of the two messages. I have never seen more than one message displayed incorrectly. This is reproduced most reliably when a message is moved from the inbox to my archive folder. The mail application then displays a new message. I browse back to the inbox and frequently there is a duplicate message in there.
I have three mail accounts active. One Gmail and two exchange accounts. I have noted the behaviour in both exchange accounts. I don't typically have enough messages in the Gmail account to be able to reproduce this behaviour so I'm not sure if it occurs there.
Does anyone else have experience with this or know of a solution? It isn't apparent to me how to report a bug to Apple about this, so I thought I would start with the community here.

Separate messages that Mail incorrectly groups into a thread

Mail occassionally will group a few emails into a thread when they're not actually part of a thread (based on similar "subject" lines or other similarities). Is there a way for me to designate specific messages/threads as not supposed to be a part of a thread? Thanks in advance.

2 of the messages in a thread do not have matching
"in-reply-to" fields nor matching "thread-id" fields
in the long headers.
They don't have to. All that is needed for them to be considered part of the same thread is that they both refer to a message in that thread. The message they refer to doesn't have to be the same for both messages in order for them to be considered part of the same thread. Or am I misunderstanding you here?

2 is the subject line, so far as I can tell.

Yes, the subject is likely also being used to determine that they are part of the same thread, precisely because there is no guarantee that the In-Reply-To header was set correctly in the first place. There is no foolproof method to determine whether two messages are really part of the same thread, so mail clients do what they can (and different mail clients may do it differently). Whatever they do, there will always be messages that are categorized incorrectly.

Well, there are way many things that it's too bad Mail doesn't have... This one is probably not one of the most prominent, but it may be to you if you rely heavily on that feature.

Weird Mail Activity in mail 8.2

I have noticed a weird 'mail activity' in my Mail 8.2 when I start up my Mail - I only noticed it recently, so I assume it's there since the latest update, but of course I cannot be sure. Has anyone else noticed this? It looks like some developer forgot to label a particular activity properly. :-)

In Mail>Preferences>Accounts, highlight one account, click advanced tab, is Remove from Server after downloading unchecked?

Active screen corner + incorrect password results in hibernation, help!

I've got the right top (active) screen corner set to sleep my display.
And only recently noticed that, if after using that i try to move mouse or press any key it would ask me for password, which is OK, but the problem is that if after entering incorrect password 3 times (happens , it would hibernate my mac for some reason.
I am not observing the same behavior if I just let the system unattended and screen saver kicks in, and then screen goes blank, or even if I lock the screen directly from keychain access.
In both these scenarios my system is not being hibernated if I made a typo 3 times in my password, so it only happens while using active screen corner.
Any idea how to get around this annoyance?

Problem solved.I was just moving my cursor to the corner area of the screen.You have to go virtually off the screen corner to activate this.

Once you complete the activation request through iTunes, AT&T has all they need to turn on your iPhone--when they want to. It seems the activation delays are between ATT business computers and the ATT wireless system control computers. The iPhone is turned on over the air by wireless signal. Nothing in the confirming email is procedural, nor do you have to reattach the iPhone to a computer running iTunes; except when you want to sync data, music, etc. The iPhone needs to be charged and you might have to power it on and off to get it to talk to wireless heaven. Another clue: if you are an existing ATT customer, your old handsets will be deactivated before the iPhone goes on. Some people have said their old phones were shut off right after activating iTunes but the iPhone is not working. My old phones still work at this point.

Lots of disk activity in mail.app with IMAP

Hi -- just switched to IMAP and then uploaded about 3k email messages to each of two IMAP accounts. I am also using HTTPmail. It's insane how much disk activity mail.app takes up. My disk seems like it's always being read to or written from. It's making a ton of noise all the time. When I quit mail.app, the noises stop. Is there a way to make it stop doing all these reads/writes? It cant' be good for the disk and it slows down my computer.

Let it run. Chances are, IMAP will simmer down after it does all its processing. If this continues, it might be the result of you simply having a lot of new email. Try disabling the auto synchronization feature if it really bothers you.

Apple mail incorrect subject lines (IMAP)

I've seen a couple of suggested fixes for this issues but nothing seems to be working.
Specs:
Running Version 6.5 (1508) of Mail
OSX 10.8.4 on MBP 13" Retina
The issue that is becoming more consistent in occurance is that the subject line for an email may contain the body of an unrelated email (attached example). Note that I use a great deal of Rules to route mail messages to their appropriate folder. This issue just started about 1 week ago.
I have tried:
1. Rebuilt the inbox and various folders where the issue seems to be more common too many times to count
2. Synchronized my inbox
3. Deleted all "Envelope Index" files within ~/Library/Mail folder
4. Deleting and recreating my Mail account
If anyone has any other suggestions that would be great. Not having an Apple friendly mail client that has no issues speaking with my Contacts and iCal is extremely problematic.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2.
