Activation of open activities

Hi experts,
After i made a change to my dc, i checkin the activity and proceed to activate it and activation went on fine. But however when i run the application, the page is not reflecting the updates. What could be the reason ?
Pls help.
Regards,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,
If you have made some changes in your project on your machine, whether you have checked In the code or not after deploying the application the changes should be visible.
Because before Check In, the application is local and you still can see the changes you have made just by deploying the application.
You checkIn the Code, to have a one place for the code that is your DTR server.
Please check if you are deploying the latest version of your code.
Thanks,

  • How to delete Open Activities in the DTR Web UI? Functions are missing...

    Hi@all,
we have some problems with open activities and files that are checked-out.
To solve this we found this desciption by SAP:
"Deleting Open Activities in the DTR Web UI
Since open activities can be a problem if they cannot be found any longer - for example if a developer
PC crashed - there is a function in the DTR Web UI to delete such activities (ADMINA permissions are
    required).
    1. Open the following URL: http://<host>:<port>/devinf and choose the Design Time Repository link.
    2. Choose the system-tools link.
    3. Choose the Activity search.
    4. Navigate to the workspace that contains an open activity that is no longer needed and cannot be deleted by its owner.
    5. Search for open activities.
    6. For the activity that is no longer needed, choose Revert this activity.
    7. Select the Delete the activity resource also checkbox and confirm with Revert.
The activity is reverted and deleted."
But when we go there, we only found "Activity Search" under "...\system-tools\reports\ActivitySearch", not directly under s"ystem-tools" or "administration".
So all functions for reverting or deleting activities are not there (because of reports?!?), we only can watch them.
Where can we found this? How can we delete activities? in some views files are checked-out, in others they are not... and also activities only can be seen here, not in CBS or somwhere else... we try to solve this by deleting "open" activities.
    Any idea or help?
    thx

Thanks for help, it works (we still "ignore" that dropdown?!? stupid).
    Question:
Is there only deleted the activity or also source code is reverted? Waht is with souce code that is actual?
Because we have some activities on projects that work well, but activities are there for 3 years right now. We want to make NW OK...

  • Open Activities

Hello, This is day 2 of administering a new On Demand system, so I hope this is a simple one...
I notice that when I mark a Task as complete (either by using the Mar As Completed' button, or by using the Status dropdown), the activity moves into the Completed Activies section as expected, but it also stays in the Open Activities section. Is there anything else I can do to get it out of the Open Activities section?
    Thanks,
    Andy

Andy, when you complete a task it should drop out of the Open Activities into the Completed Activities section. Also, another way to complete a task is to click on the down arrow next to Edit and click on Done.

    Hi Timothy,
The account cannot be validated error was due to a glitch on our activation server that has been fixed now.
Please try using acrobat now and check if you are still facing the problem.

  • Extraction of Open Activities from CRM (CRM t-code S_AE2_89000019)

    Hi Experts,
we are to extract data from CRM, in detail the data is about open activities. However it is not pretty clear to me if there does exist SAP content for this requirement (DataSource, InfoSource, DSO, InfoCube etc).
The t-code we can use to display the data is in CRM is "S_AE2_89000019", the data input/modification of the activities is done in CRM using a web frontend. At least a part of the data is stored in the table "CRMD_ORDERADM_H".
Can you please let me know if the data is stored in further tables in CRM and suggest if there exists a DataSource (and InfoSource/DSO) in order to extract the open activities and handle them in BW.
If you have further suggestions/hints or if there are How-Tos/Blogs regarding this topic please kindly let me know.
    Thanks!
    Brgds,
    Marcel

    Hi Raf,
thanks a lot for the suggestion. Data Source is correct, it is in deed DS "0CRM_SALES_ACT_1". Because I have already tried to retrieve data using this DS before opening the thread I checked the DS directly in CRM (t-code rsa3). There data showed up when doing a check of the DS directly in CRM. When I started the InfoPackage on BW side to load data in PSA there was an error that no data is availale . After searching the forum again I found this thread::
CRM - Reload  in INIT mode : get 0 record
My problem could be solved by adding the entry in table SMOFPARSFA as described in the last post of the thread. Now the data shows up in BW. Although I do not know why it works now
However problem is solved, points are assigned. Thanks!
    Brgds,
    Marcel

  • CIC-IC Agent Inbox - show open activities

    Hi Forum,
Is it possible in CIC-IC Agent Inbox (CRM 4.0, WinCl)to have the "Open" activities where the agent was assigned (just like on the SAP Business Workplace - SBWP transaction)?
I have the planned activities for the agent but not the other ones where the agent is assigned.
    Thanks in advance

  • Subsequent activation of Open items

Hi, we are on version 6.0 but didn't activate New GL.
We have open items on our GR/IR account from 2000. Open item management is activated on this account since 2004.  Hence there are line items on this accout which are not cleared between 2000 and 2004.
Now, I want to run a program which can reactivate open item management on line items posted in this period so that I can clear those items. As this a GR/iR account I cannot simply clear the balances on this account. So I tried running this in test system by creating a dummy account and making the balance zero.
However when I try running tcode: FAGL_ACTIVATE_OP I am getting error as "Company Code XXXX is not considered for activation". I couldn't find a clue what it meant by that and there is no other explanation.
    Does anyone have any solution?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Program RFSEPA02 is to activate OIM for a GL account and this SAP standard program which is not supported by SAP.
So, ask your ABAPer to copy this program to create a Z program.
Much customization is not required, just copy the program RFSEPA02 to ZRFSEPA02.
This program will help you to activate the OIM for a GL account at any point of time.

  • Directory Binding Script (Active and Open Directory) 10.7

    Hi everyone
I'm reposting this in the right thread. I've written a Directory Binding Script for 10.6 and ported it now to 10.7 as among the things that have changed in the upgraded version is a refurbished directory binding enviroment.
The original thread can be found here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3090068. The script is applicable for clients as well and simplifies the binding process considerably.
Be aware that the reformatted script here contains some faulty line breaks. So you'll have to correct them in a proper text editor.

    #!/bin/sh
#Uncomment the following line to abort the script on errors
    #trap exit ERR
    ## Script to automate OD and AD Binding of Mac OS X 10.7 Servers
    ## Script written by Marc Horat, URZ Basel, 11.6.2010

    # With the use of the following sources as inspiration:

    # Bombich's AD-Bind Script:
    # This script binds to AD and configures advanced options of the AD plugin
    # As this scripts contains a password, be sure to take appropriate security
    # precautions
    # A good way to run this script is to set it as a login hook on your master machine
    # Because it only needs to be run once, the last thing this script does is to delete
    # itself. If you have another login script that you typically run, include the
    # script on your master machine, and indicate its path in the "newLoginScript"
    # variable.
    # If running this as a one-time login hook to bind to AD after imaging,
    # be sure to enable auto-login (for any local user) before creating your master image

  • Using iChat Server with Windows clients in an integrated Active Directory/Open Directory environment

A co-worker (Super Brent) and I were working on using iChat as an internal IM server after having used Openfire for a couple days. The reason for switching was basically that we had a Mac Mini Server that was available so we decided to take this on.
First problem: Knowing whether or not Kerberos was needed for AD/OD integration. We spent a ton of time on this, not knowing a huge amount about AD and with our server administrator on courses, we just kept poking at it and removed Kerberos.
For the AD/OD integration, we first bound the Mac Mini to our Active Directory server. We shut off LDAPv3 support as we only wanted to use the AD functionality. Additionally, we ensured that the search policy in Directory Utility only used Active Directory. Then we created an Open Directory master in the Open Directory service. We enabled a self-signed certificate and trusted it locally. After creating the iChat service, ensure that you use the self-signed SSL Certificate and set authentication to Standard. (no kerberos).
Second problem: Once this was complete, we started to test clients out. We were unable to successfully login using our AD credentials using Spark IM and Pandium IM. After trying nearly 100 different variations of server configs, we decided to try a new client. I installed Miranda IM on my Windows XP machine and tried a few different setups. It turned out that the magic potion was to make sure that the "resource" field was set to "Home" and use SSL for encryption. This resource setting was the deal breaker for the other IM clients as many of them such as Spark and Pandium do not have this as a login option.
We ended up using Pidgin IM as the Windows client of choice as it did have the resource variable and it's interface was the best suited for our environment and users.
I hope this helps someone out there as we spent days looking all over the internet trying to figure this out.

  • Date and Time Sync at boot for Active Directory/Open Directory Authenticati

All the macs in my school district are set to automatically sync their time with a network time server. They do not do this unless the system preference is opened. This poses a problem as all our users must authenticate against an Active Directory and an Open Directory server. If the time is out of sync they can not login, and therefore can not fix the time. I must then login in with a local admin account set the time and then the network account can login. I have tried using direct IP addresses for the NTP server. That doesn't work either. I have adjusted the tolerance of the AD server to accept a large discrepancy in time (did not work). Set the users to be mobile accounst (local home folders), did not work. The only fix will be to ensure that the time does sync at boot, before login. Is there a way to force the computer to sync at boot to a given NTP server, prior to the login window appearing?

I have come up with my own solution for this issue. It is a two part solution. We found that the computers are experiencing time drift and that after they get out of sync by 5 minutes they can no longer login. One would think that the setting in the Date and Time system preference to automatically synchronize the time would take care of this. That however is not the case that check mark does not affect the ntp service at all. It merely eliminates the need to click a button when entering the system preference. How did we discover this? well that is part of the solution. We used webmin (http://www.webmin.com) to look at the ntp configuration. No matter what changes we made with the Date & Time preferences nothing changed in the system ntp settings. So on to the solution: Install webmin, and configure the ntp protocol manually to sync at your desired interval (I did hourly). This stops time drift. Next create a startup item and associated plist to force time sync at boot (be sure to loop it as different machines initialize their network cards slower). I have made ours available for download (http://www.manheimcentral.org/~getzt/netTime.zip). I hope this helps others. We have found that this works fairly well.

  • Activation of open item management in G/L account

    Hello all,
I have a G/L account with existing line items on it without open item management activated and the client wishes to activate open item management now.
I have managed to activate the actual G/L account option, but my question is about the status of the EXISTING line items.
Because the existing line items, however, do not have an open item status in the sense of "open" or "cleared". Instead, they show up with the green tick in front of the line. I would actually want the existing line items all to be marked as e.g. "open" so I can then clear all matching items and leave the unmatched items with status "open".
I have found several SAP notes about this behaviour and know that SAP recommends to create a new account and then re-post. However, my client wants to keep using the EXISTING account number.
I know about a report called RFSEPA02 that was meant for a purpose like this, but we are on ERP 6.0 and in that environment, SAP does not allow to run RFSEPA02 anymore.
My question is therefore if someone knows how to set the open item status of the existing line items in such a way, that I can clear them.
Thanks in advance for any input.
    René

    Hello,
When we run standard program RFSEPA02, we get a waring message and will not run the program. To over come we have to copy the program to Z program and bypass the warning message.
I hope this will help you.
    Thanks,

  • Active Directory & Open Directory integration

    Hello,
Here is the scenario I would like to accomplish. let me know if its possible or not.
Currently I have a cluster of domain controllers on a fairly large Active Directory domain. We have a lot of mac clients that are running totally independant and want to get them on the domain.
On the mac side, we want to run some mac services such as ichat server and get some of the other open directory features.
So is it possible to do this:
(Ad Domain) - one way replication -> (OD server) -> Mac Clients
Basically I would like to have an OpenDirectory server for the mac workstations, is there anyway to replicate all the users from the AD server? Then be able to specify the mac related options such as ichat on the OD server? Maybe I am going at this the wrong way, let me know!
    Thanks
    Nick

    Hi dani190,
are you using the fully qualified domain name of the network server? ie if your server is bob. and your domain is domain.company.com. then the FQDNS would typically be bob.domain.company.com or bob.company.com.
If the FQDNS works, then have you checked in the AD to make sure the path to the network home folder uses the FQDNS?
For the contact search path, did you put the AD at the top the list? (in directory utility)
Did you set the WINS work group on your client computer to your domain?
ie:Apple Menu, System Preferences, Network, Active Network Port (ethernet and or airport) , Advanced Button, WINS Tab, set workgroup to the name of your domain. ie domain.company.com and or company.com

  • POC calculations of internal activity and service activities

    Hi,
I need some help regarding POC.
In the scenario, I am using two activities----Internal and service.
The internal Activity is used only for scheduling and confirmation of activities. There is a work center attached to it, but there is no cost attached to it.
The service activity is only related to cost.
Now, I want to calculate the POC for internal activity similar to the MSP i.e, POC calculated at the activity level will role up to give the POC at the WBS level ( this POC will  be related to the POC as per the confirmation of the work that is the actual % of completion).
To calculate the EV only the cost from the service activity will work. i.e, the actual cost which is coming from the RA Bill (ML81n) and the planned cost from the services in the service activity. So this POC will be different from the POC calculate in the internal activity confirmation.
How to map both the scenarios in the same project ?
    Kindly furnish some idea.
    Regards,
    A. Bose

    Hi Abhra,
You can use both activity types if required but I would recommed you to look up on the three types of activities so that you are able to choose the best option that fits your business requirement:
    1) Internal
    2) External
    3) Service
You can use confirmations for both service as well as internal activities. This will help you with your POC calculation as the values will be aggregated to the WBS level. I tried to inquire from you which EV method you are using because that may assist you in determining the POC of activities (either service or internal) based on specific requirements.
Now for EV to work you need to plan cost at the activity level for fair reflection (please note that this is also aggregated at the WBS level therefore if you do not plan cost at activity level, you will however get some estimated value at the WBS) of earned value. Based on your statements, I assume that EV is being calculated for the service activity correctly (as it has planned and probably actual cost) but not for the internal activity. I'm afraid without planned and actual cost, EV cannot be calculated. Have you tried using cost from the work center (which is assigned to a cost center)? You may use activity types in the confirmations as well.
Please let me know if this is what you were looking for.

  • Active Directory Open Directory Disable Users

Can you make an Active Directory Account disabled in the Open Directory, but still have it function in Active Directory?
We are trying to disable a generic lab account in Active Directory from being able to comment on our Blog Pages.

    Hi
Did you read what you typed before you posted? Because the question does not make sense and contradicts itself.
Users that exist in the AD node do not as such exist in the OD node. In the OD node you are simply looking at them as they are presented to you from AD. Neither can you disable AD accounts from the OD node. You have to do that on the AD itself.
If you have enabled augmented records for AD users then disable them using the reverse process you used to enable them. That way AD users are stopped from commenting Blog Pages but are still active in AD.
