Activation Promblems continously

I work for a fortune 500 company as a technical writer.  My tools of the trade are Indesign CS3 and I have CS4, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat Professional 8.  I have the software loaded on my work PC and home PC.  My PC's are upgraded often and each time that happens I deactivate all of my Adobe products.  However everytime I reinstall I receive the dreaded message "Too many activations". Each time requires a phone call to adobe and each time my frustration level grows.  1) Adobe hire English speaking people for english speaking customers.  2) Fix the fricking activation problems you have.  I know the licensing agreement and have not violated it so let me install and keep working.
What T's me off the most is that Adobe can tell me I supposedly have to many activations but can't tell me where the activations are installed.  I've learned to HATE using any Adobe products.  Will search and search for new software tools to flush Adobe.

errors lately is "You have this product activated on 2 pc's at this time, deactivate one and then try again".  Something like that.  Anyhow again I know I don't have it activated on 2 machines when I'm installing on machine 2.  I'll open this thread again within a month or so because the problem will come up again.  Adobe customer service gets it going but I shouldn't have to call.  Doesn't matter if I deactivate it and reactivate it 100 times....It should work.

  • Ipod nano, firewire error msg and refusal to stop

    Recently I had an error message on my nano stating that the iPod does not support FireWire. This message occured while I was using the iPOD while running and there for it was not connected to any computer. I use a windowsXP machine, and thus no firewire at anytime. I restored the nano and it worked. The next day I received the same error message. Also the nano would not turn off. The batteries ran down, and the next day I again restored the nano. At this point the nano will play but it will not turn off. The pause function will work (the button is active), but continous pressing of the pause/play button will not turn off the nano.
    Suggestions?

    Okay, I had this exact problem today. The firewire error message came up while I was playing a podcast. I couldn't make the message go away by clicking the center button. I plugged it in to my computer (USB) and then once I unplugged it, it would not turn off. After some troublshooting with Applecare on the phone, once I uninstalled iPod for Windows, iTunes, QuickTime (in that order, don't restart between iTunes and Quicktime. Once Quicktime is uninstalled, then restart.) and then reinstalled the newest version, iTunes+QuickTime and THEN restored the iPod I no longer had the error message and my iPod does turn off. This is, of course, good news for me because I am about to go on a trip and NEED my iPod! Also keep in mind that once you disconnect the iPod from your computer, it won't turn off right away. It needs to sit for about 10 seconds before it will allow you to turn it off.

  • HSRP fails to work due to h/w failure

    We have a situation that HSRP fails to work due to a partial h/w failure on the active router.
    What happened is the active router continously getting input error on its Ethernet interface. User traffic fails to be received by this router. However the router is still able to send hello message to its standby router .When we do a sh standby on the active router, it says unknown standby which concluded that it does not receive hello message from the standby. The fault happened everyday . we can clear the problem by rebotting the router but fault came back the next day again for several times. Once we replaced the active router , problem did not return.
    In understand HSRP uses mulitcast protocol . but I would like clarification that HSRP is using unidirectional comunication with the standby group. In a situation like this ,my assumption is the TX circuit on the LAN is working but teh RX circuit failed. The standby router would never know the LAN interface of actice router fails to receive its hello messages. Therefore the fail over never trigger.
    Appreciate your feedback on this.

    I believe HSRP use multicast address for the hello but it still use broadcast to ensure the standby router is active. I can't find such info. to prove it. Please correct me if I am wrong.
    For the LAN connection, if the RX is failed, the interface should not up, or say, e.g. if the RX-pair of cable is not connectioned, the interface should down. So, I believe there is something wrong in the LAN interface, it may not only the RX side error.
    Just my 2 cents.

  • "Cannot Open iTunes" Dialog Box continuously opens in alternate profiles

    I just installed iTunes 8.2 (64 Bit Version) on a new HP e9107c-b desktop with Windows Vista-64 (fully patched). I have multiple profiles setup on the computer and ONLY ONE profile ever uses iTunes. However, all other active profiles continously chime and display an error dialog box that says:
    "You cannot open the application "iTunes" because another user has it open..."
    Again, I am not trying to launch iTunes in any other profiles; but, this message continues to pop up until I close iTunes in the one profile it is running in.
    This is extremely annoying and appears to affect my computer's performance. I've read all the articles I could find on the topic and they simply say you can only run one instance of iTunes when using profile-switching on a Windows machine - I'm only running one.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    We just purchased two PC's with Windows Vista 64 bit - both are HP. We are getting the same error. My wife does not use iTunes, yet this error: "You cannot open the application "iTunes" because another user has it open..." keeps popping up every minute or so, and an alarm sounds. She is not trying to open iTunes and has never used it. My daughter uses iTunes on the same computer and if it is open when my wife logs in or switches to her user account, this annoying issue persists all day long. How do we get it to STOP?

    Either:
    They didn't "fix it".
    You don't have a SIM in it, or the SIM has failed completely.
    Or
    The phone was hacked to unlock it.

  • Exchange 2003 - Continous password prompts in Outlook 2010

    Hi. 
    A customer is experiencing continous password prompts in Outlook 2010. Outlook is configured against the Exchange 2003 BE server (FQDN) and Outlook Anywhere is configured to sync.customer.com with a valid 3rd party certificate. 
    Outlook is configured with Negotitate as Logon network security, setting this to basic/NTLM does not help. Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP is set and configured with sync.customer.com, and msstd:sync.customer.com. All points checked except "On
    fast networks, connect using HTTP first, then connect using TCP/IP", authentication is set to Basic. Changing authentication from Basic to NTLM seem to make the problem vanish. 
    Outlook Anywhere is functioning correctly and only prompting once for password when connecting from an external network. ISA is not configured for NTLM/Kerberos.
    Exchange 2003 is located in main site in a resource domain. The prompts occur more often in two remote sites than the main site. 
    When opening Outlook RPCDiag shows established connection to BE and Active Directory, sometimes with prompt and sometimes without. After about 5 minutes the prompt may reappear, entering password does not remove the prompt, clicking cancel puts Outlook in
    the "Need password" state, clicking this usually successfully connect Outlook to Exchange. Other times this just cause the prompt to reappear. 
    I´ve tried adding the internal and/or external IP address of the ISA server as sync.customer.com in the host-file on a client and forcing RPC/HTTPS through the DisableRpcTcpFallback, still getting the password prompts. 
    We have also been through the KB975363, changing the MaxConcurrentAPI on all domain controllers. 
    Finally, we know Exchange 2003 is in a unsupported state so there is no need to comment this.

    Firstly, I'd like to explian, basic authentication requires the user to enter domain, user name, and password. Thus, it's an expected behavior that the credential prompts once when the authentication is set to basic and it disappears when it's NTLM authentication:

    For the issue that the credential keeps prompting, I'd like to confirm if Outlook 2003 works well. If yes, you can refer to the following article:

  • Cisco ISE Failure: 24408 User authentication against Active Directory failed since user has entered the wrong password

    Hi,
    Since we implemented Cisco ISE we receive the following failure on several Notebooks:
    Authentication failed : 24408 User authentication against Active Directory failed since user has entered the wrong password
    This happens 2 or 3 times per Day. So basically the authentications are working. But when the failure appears, the connection is lost for a short time.
    The Clients are using PEAP(EAP-MSCHAPv2) for Authentication. We've got a Cisco Wireless Environment (WLC 5508).
    Why is this happening?

    The possible causes of this error message are:
    1.] If the end user entered an incorrect username.
    2.] The shared sceret between WLC and ISE is mismatched. With this we'll see continous failed authentication.
    3.] As long as a PSN not receiving a response from the supplicant within this limit during an EAP conversation, it will throw this error code. In majority of cases it says eap session timed out.
    In your cases, the 3rd option seems to be the most closest one.

  • Problem with activating integration model

    When I am trying to activate an integration model, that includes a scheduling agreement (type LF), the activation isn't successfull. It isn't blocked, but it never stops.
    In the screen I have a message called "determining delta model" but it never continous with executing the activation.
    Does anybody know what could cause this problem?

    I am facing the same problem as mentioned in the original post.
    Whenever I activate the integration model for vendors, a "CIF_LOAD" window appears with message "Should interval be created" with YES and NO option. Why does this window appears. After clicking on NO option the message "Determining delta model" appears in the status bar and after some time the program gets terminated due to time out.
    I have tried following solutions mentioned in this thread.
    Refreshed the indexes of the two tables BDCPS and BDCP using DB20.
    Executed the transaction BD22 in test run mode, but I am not sure which change pointers option(obsolete or processed) to select for deletion and also which message type. I selected the obsolete option but here too the program got terminated after time out. Besides I am doing this on prduction environment and other integration models like plant etc got activated.
    Please help us with this.

  • DAQmx :: Continous reading of the last 10 values of a continous data-aquisition at a fixed point

    Hello,
    I am using a NI-PCI 6259 for generating and aquiring data.
    The other configuration is:
    - LabVIEW 7.1
    - DAQ 7.3
    I need to measure three anaolg channels, and generate an analog output. Additonally I need to read some values over the RS232. The whole activity should repeat every 30ms. To get this, I am using a timed loop at the moment. I generate a clock with counter 0 and read it with counter 1 for the timed loop. Inside the timed loop I start/stop a finite aquisition for the three analog channles and the RS232 reading. The fastest aquiring supported by the RS232 is an iteration every 30ms. Without the analog aquisition the system runs without any dropped loops. By adding the analog aquisition the timed loop dropps 2-5 loops every 1000 iterations.
    I think the problem is the repeated start/stop of the aquisition. Maybe a solution is a continous aquistion by reading out the last 10 values of the buffer every start of the timed loop. But all my tests failed, because of the FIFO design of the buffer. When I start a continous aquisition outside the timed loop and read 10 values inside, I always have the first 10 values of the buffer, not the last ones.
    Does anyone has an idea, how to read loop the last 10 values of a continous aquisition inside a timed ?

    Attached you will find the actual state of the testprogram. Because the aqusition should be in the last quarter of the generated output value, the values of the loaded waveform (output) are four times resampeled and the clock has four times the speed of the aquisition, which generates a timing event every four clocks.

    To address your main issue you might try using the DAQmx control Task VI right after you call the Timing VI (outside the timed loop) and set its value to commit. This allows for more efficient starts and stops. Some other things I saw in your program which might make it a little easier and use less HW. First, you shouldn't need to create a CO task on ctr0 and then feed it to the timed loop using ctr1. Why don't you just use the Frequency personality of the timed loop? That way you will only use one counter. If you want to use the 2 counter method then to avoid using external wiring as the source for counter 1 in the timing source VI use CTR0/internaloutput. This is an advanced property for the terminal I/O control so you will need to right click on the constant and select I/O filtering. Finally, when you specify your create channel for the AI Voltage why are you doing this in a for loop. You can just have one channel string Dev1/Ai16:18 and that will create all 3 channels with the same information. Hope this helps

    I did a bit more looking and found out that I was wrong. My apologies. NI-HWS is currently shipping with the high-speed digital products and the waveform editors (analog and digital). It is not shipping with NI-FGEN or NI-SCOPE. sfpFile shipped with NI-SCOPE 2.1.2 through 2.5 and NI-FGEN 1.5. NI-HWS was not finished in time for the latest NI-SCOPE and NI-FGEN releases. For now, you will need to use sfpFile. Copy the examples to make your life much easier. Your application is simple enough that the basic functions should work for you. Don't worry about losing your data, since sfpFile and NI-HWS use the same format. In any case, it is all based on HDF5, and you can get HDF5 utilities (free for any use) from the NCSA website. A word of warning - HDF5 is VERY powerful, but also VERY difficult to use. sfpFile and NI-HWS are based on the 1.4.4 release of HDF5. The current 1.6.x release of HDF5 is file format compatible, but binary incompatible with the 1.4.x release. NCSA did not change the format of the files they are writing, but did change the code that writes to them.

    The x61 is running Vista Business SP 1.

  • XY-Graph hangs after running continously for 3 weeks

    We have an application running on LV 6.0.2 on Windows NT4/2k.
    The application is splitted in an overview panel which displays up to 20 graphs (XY-Graphs) and detailed views, which displays only one signal but with further information. The aplication is running continously. If the data source is powered-on data will be acquired. After power-down the data source we reinitialize the XY-Graph and wait for power-on.
    The problem is, that the application is working correctly for about 3 weeks and then suddenly the XY-Graphs of the overview panel is hanging - that means we get some data (say 20 min.) and then no more data will be displayed.
    The data is formatted in a model-view controller like manner. The special thing
    is, that we can format all data acquired for all graphs. The detailed view displays all acquired data as expected whereas the overview only displays some part of it.
    Do you have any ideas or solutions for this problem?? We are know restarting the panel after a specified time period and hope that this workaround will solve this error.

    I suspect you are runnig out of memory!
    The data collected just piles up as it comes in.
    How to confirm.
    Right click on the task bar and select "Task Manager".
    Select the Performance tab.
    When you start your app, ther should be lot of memory left over.
    Watch this value for three weeks. You should see a steady rise in memory usage until the machine hangs.
    If this is a coorect guess, you have two choices.
    1)Re-write the app to limit the history that is kept in memory, or
    2) Re-boot the machine once every 2 weeks.

  • Macbook fan is running continously

    My Macbook's fan is running continously though my cpu is idle. I did check the activity monitor for it.
    Do you experience the same with your MBs?

    This behaviour is intended now? It occured first in early 2007. They seem to have changed it with a firmware update this year. Before the fan ran occasionally. Most of the time it was off.
    My place is very silent. And for good reason. I don't wan't my Apple computer to be this loud! I have seen it can be more silent. I want my old firmware back. My CPU has a temperatur below 40°C (100°F)! Why does Apple think it has to be cooled down? It makes me mad. I want to concentrate on my papers. I don't want to switch on the radio to distract from the fan noise.
    Does anyone have an old firmware restoration cd for my macbook? I can only download the last one.

  • Active Sync strange problem in E6

    I am using Active Sync for Gmail on my E6, Belle.
    Background
    I don't have any multimedia, or apps installed in C drive. It's clean and has only system files.
    Problem
    My C drive memory was 180 MB in morning. It came down to 120 by 2 pm. By late evening, I have around 50 MB left in my phone memory. I have an "always on" data plan. Is it possible that Active Sync has been storing data on my C drive continously? If yes, then should I delete some mails? I don't want to delete mails since of course, I need them. If I delete on my mobile, my actual Gmail inbox mails will also get deleted. 
    I want to know what has been consuming memory space on C drive. I used to use WhatsApp, now that has been unistalled.
    Is it possible that Active Sync is the culprit?
    PS: On another post I mentioned about this problem, but after a hard reset I got memory back from 10 MB to 180 MB finally. But again, the memory space is going down hour by hour. E6 was supposed to be error-free, as per Nokia marketing. I worry about less-aware and unsuspecting people out there who are using E6. They are in a soup. What is they face the same problem?

    now in this case to check this scenario when i update JDBC the CC channel is showing  healthy and  Process started... in CC monitoring...
    But data is not picked from JDBC and either updated...
    i have a doubt withOUT BPM  JDBC Sender side will work r not..
    I have tested for onley File-Proxy-file with out bpm...
    give me suggestion where exactly the problem is ....
