Active users from "TH_SYSTEMWIDE_USER_LIST"

Hi all,
We are working on a year end project where we need to know how many active users in the system .
We have 6 apps servers and when a user login from SAPGUI we can his id in all Apps servers making as 6 active connections .
We are using " TH_SYSTEMWIDE_USER_LIST" function module to get the no of users count.
All users login thru a timesheet application [. Net] and it will call WAS -and WAS calls R/3 thru RFC.
We are expecting more than 10000 users to be using this apps on year end to sync timesheets , we are planning to put a rfc call from .Net application to " TH_SYSTEMWIDE_USER_LIST" and get the no of users count and getting thru if users <10000.
But each user login thru front end have 6 active connections and Each RFC call have only 1 RFC active call and how can we make nearby value of real active users like 2 users 1 from Front end and 1 from rfc make a call it must show 2 active connections not 7 active connections.
TH_SYSTEMWIDE_USER_LIST just gives one number , is there any way we can find only active users removing redudent connections.
Please suggest...

Sounds like you've switched the output of Active Users from Text to PDF or Postscript... an your X Server is not working. Try changing the output back to Text on the Concurrent Program Definition for Active Users. Or get your X Server up and running.

Hi All,
we have 60 users for BO (named) I wanted to know who are active users from last 2 or 3 months how can i achieve this? we have activity universe.
Now I am using user name, action id action name dimensions and filters are action name ID =65537;65538 but showing only 30 users but we have 60 users.....Please suggest

BOE comes with the Most Active Users (by logins, refreshes) report. What do you get if you remove the rank?
I just tested this. I get all users.

So we are seeing in SAP through ALL11 T-Code , but we thought of getting at OS level, Kindly tell me who to get the active users from the unix,For information we are having ORACLE has DB .

AL08 will show you all active users across all instances.
There's no easy way of getting that information without C programming from OS level.

Looking for Help with Active Directory Script to Remove a User from msExchDelegateListLink

I'm struggling to put together an Active Directory Powershell script that will remove a specific user from the msExchDelegateListLink.
It looks like Set-AdUser would do the trick. I would want to remove a user in the format of
{CN=Wood\, Sandy,OU=Networking,OU=IT,DC=my,DC=domain,DC=com}
Has anyone succeeded in doing this before?

Can i recover my all active directory domain computers and users from IFM and in-cooperate them in new forest ??

My only Active Directory Server on win server 2008 R2 with one domain controller crashed today. The only backup that i had was IFM media.
So what i have done till now to recover it is a follow
I reintalled window server but this time it is winserver 2012. I added AD DS role to it. Promoted it to Domain Controller. (functionality level is 2008 R2)
On second server i installed win 2008 R2 and trying to add additional domain controller from IFM to recover all of my domain users,computers and GPO's. but i am getting this error
Could not replicate the directory partition CN=schema, CN= configuration, DC=XXX, DC=com from the remote domain
the naming context specified for this replication operation is invalid
i dont know weather my approach is correct or not
but my simple questions is
Can i recover my all domain computers and users from IFM and in-cooperate them in new forest ?? if yes how can i do that?? urgent help required.

yup exactly i created a new domain(in new forest) with same previous name in window server 2012 on SERVER-1. As ifm file that i had was generated from 2008 r2 so on second server i installed window 2008 r2 and tried to add role of additional domain controller
from ifm file on SERVER-2 using dcpromo /adv . every step went ok but in last step when it starts replicating domain controllers it poup following error

and roll backs every thing.

Are you able to connect to AD over SSL through some LDAP Browser ?
Check the validity of Certificate ?
Does your certificate appear in the list ?

Need to automate blocking a set of users from carrying out any activity...

We want to block a set of users from carrying out any activity in SAP everymorning between 05:00 to 10:00.
The users should be blocked at 05:00am and unblocked at 10:00am.
The blocking and unblocking should happen automatically.
Request any solutions to achieve this.

You can use the below command from the command prompt of DC to get all the AD users who are inactive for last
X weeks,
dsquery
user -inactive X
To extract the inactive user information to a CSV file use the below command,
dsquery user -inactive X > c:\TestFolder\InactiveUsers.csv
NOTE: The value
X represents number of weeks, for example if your requirement is to find the inactive users for last 90 days then the
X value should be 13.

Try this:
1. In Ultiboard select Tools>>Netlist Editor>>Pins, press the Delete button
2. Select all nets in the Select the Net to Delete dialog and then press the Delete button. This will clear all nets in the layout, don't worry all traces, parts are still on the design.
3. Go to Multisim and select Transfer>>Forward annotate to Ultiboard. This will add all nets that you removed back and it should fix the pin problem

Its better to use DMV's to view only active sessions from users (spid>50) as mentioned by Shanky.
You can do that using sp_who2 but it requires a bit of programming to list only user sessions.

How to stop user profiles clean-up job from deleting Active users.

Hi,
Somehow bunch of active users profile are marked for deletions and their managers have received email saying it will be deleted in X days.
I know if we disable My Site Clean Up Job, it will not delete any profiles. But I want that job to continue running and stop active user profiles from getting deleted.
How do I proceed here...

I understand SharePoint 2010 MySite clean up timer job is deleting active user profiles.
Firstly, I need to confirm with you that the timer job will work on below two situations:
1.When you use the web UI in Central Administration to delete a user profile
2.When a user who was included in a previous user profile import is no longer included in the import.
The second point bears a little more explanation, please refer to How Is A User Profile Deleted?

We almost have same issue to add users from several Active Directories.
BPC server is in Domain A. We perform to add users from Domain B. Our trusted relation between AD is Domain B approve Domain A (unidirectional).
We cannot get one user which is able to browse both AD. So we install BPC with a user which has rights to browse Domain A and we use another user in COM+ component (OsoftUSerManage) which has right to browse Domain B.
But it is not working : we encounter an issue (access denied) in web administration by adding users from Domain B.
Any idea ?

Get all users from Active Directory

Dear All,
I would like to retreive all USERS from the AD.
I finaly could connect to an AD server but I couldn't perform the search.
I got a javax.naming.NamingException: [LDAP: error code 1 - 000020D6: SvcErr: DSID-03100690, problem 5012 (DIR_ERROR), data 0
--> Does it mean that my query is incorect.
I think I am missing something obvious. but what?
Can somebody please help me or point me to some working code sample.

If you want to list all the users then you don't need to perform a search. Just list them.

Not sure how to get around that. Never needed to look. Don't expect it is hard though.
