Active x in forms 4.5

i would like to put progress bar in my application. i didnt find help about this. can any body tell me which active-x control can be used for this, and where can i get.

Hi,
Instead of using an activeX control, you can try the following:
Make a dialog window. Make 1 item, type display, to show on that window. Give that item a background color like red or blue. Draw a rectangle around it.
Before your procedure set the display width to 0. During the procedure set the display width a bit wider per record you process. Make sure that after your procedure the display width of your field matches the rectangle around it.
It's the closest thing to a progress bar as possible.

Error during activation in adobe form

I may be missing something here, but can't you just set the item to "Read Only" in the general preferences for that item?

Activation of smart form

Hi friends,
When i am activating d smart form it is taking too much time for activation.when I will copy one standard smart form and activating it is getting activated immediately.For Zsmartforms it is taking more time and some times it is going in to dump.Smart form check showing correct.Only problem with activation......
Plz suggest me what may be the problem and how to resolve it.

We also experienced the same problem in our ECC 6.0 Server, then we got the problem solved by applying a patch recommended by SAP. So ask your BASIS to raise a Customer Support Message to SAP and apply the patch.
The main symptom of our problem is whenever we create a smartform it will get activate for the first time, then if we do even a little change and try to activate again it wont and end with a timeout error.

How to create an activity bar in Form?

Hi all:
I am using Developer 6i with Oracle 9i.
I have developed a form, the form consists different button thru which I am calling different packages for different tasks. When user click any button e.g. "Generate Over time" for the current month, the package executed and insert data into a temp table after processing. during the execution system does not show any thing, I want to add an activity bar which will show the percentage of work done and fill the text box with any color.
How is it possible?

I assume something like a PJC which contains a progress bar object , developed in JDeveloper, would fulfill your requirement....!!!!
Unfortunately....there is not such an object in Developer Forms....

Problems activating an adobe forms object / lifecycle designer

Hi everybody,
our developers are getting more and more problems when they try to activate an adobe forms object in SAP.
When they click on the activate icon, SAP freezes – and after 3-4 minutes of waiting, SAP displays, that e.g. 105.570 bytes were transferred, but the document remains inactive.
So by now they need about 5 attempts before it finally gets activated…this is very time consuming and frustrating.
Does anybody know a solution to this problem?
Any ideas?

SOAP Runtime Exception: CSoapExceptionTransport when activ adobe Print Form

Hi
I am trying to activate an Adobe Print Form, but I am getting the error "SOAP Framework error: SOAP Runtime Exception: CSoapExceptionTransport: HTTP send failed with exception communication_failure(100.101)".
I have searched the forum and can see several thread stating that this is a ADS Configuration/Basis error, but when we try to execute the test report it works just fine, so I am guessing the ADS is working quite fine, or ?
Any help / hints to fix this error will be very appreciated

A year back I have experienced the same behaviour of my forms which were very large (30 pages at design time). After some time (number of changes I guess) they stopped working. I had to start all over from the last backup (that was few days ago once, what is a lot of work lost).
Why I would now do is:
1) copy your form and try to activate the copy
2) create a new form with the same interface, create some dummy layout with one field and try to activate
3) do you have any older version of this form? Or you´ve created it just now and this is the first activation? if you have an older one, try that one

Activation of Adobe Form takes too long / XML problem?

Dear all,
I copied a standard form to customer name a year ago with life cycle designer version 7. The designer was updated to 8.
When making a change to the adobe form now, the activation takes more than 30 minutes in some cases. I copied the original form again and the activation takes less than 3 minutes.
When calling the XML Coding-tab within the designer it also takes very long and in some cases the system crashes ....
Has anyone an idea why this happens and if there is anything that i can do with changing attributes or other settings? I also tried to copy the copied form again. Same problem. Only when copying the standard form the activation is normal. I made too many changes so to start over again would take long. I would like to avoid this.

I could not solve this. Had to create the form again. Tried to copy most of the elements into it.
Now it works again and is activated within 1-2 minutes.
So no real solution...

Error During Activation of Interactive form

Hi SAP Masterminds,
I'm working on Interactive forms in ECC 6.0 system with proper ADS Configuration. I have created an interactive form with two fileds in the interface as FIRSTNAME and LASTNAME. Now when I'm trying to activate the form it says error during activation. I have Adobe Reader 8.1 along with Adobe LiveCyscle Designer 7.1 installed on my system. Even I have checked the programs FP_TEST_00, FP_PDF_TEST_00 etc... to see whether ADS is configured correctly or not. They worked fine. Could you help me solve this problem by telling me what else should I check to make sure I can activate the form.

If the site requires ActiveX and Java, then there is no way to run the site on an iPad (or any non-Windows device, for that matter, since ActiveX is a Microsoft-proprietary technology). The only way to use that site from an iPad would be to take control of a Windows system from the iPad and actually use the Windows system to connect.

Activating timeslip HR form

Hi,
I am having an issue when I try to activate timeslips in HRFORMS. I have tried to activate SAP_TIMESLIP, SAP_TIM_99_0001, and SAP_TIM_99_0002. I also tried to make Z* copies and activate them. Every time I get a syntax error that P_IPVIEW in the print program does not exist.
I am working in ECC 6.0, trying to implement Webdynpro ESS. Does anyone have suggestions?

have the same situation. I modified the print program with SE38 and activated it. This was ok. Biut when I go to HRFORMS and try to activate the form the modifications I did to print program disappear. And the print program is again missing P_IPVIEW among some others. Any hint why this is happening ? How can I modsify the print program so that it will be activated from HRFORMS. Othewr strange thing is that when I change the print program attached to form via table THRFORMS_01 activation still tells that the replaced print program houses syntax errors. Allthough I can see the changed print program name. But when I try to activate the form the activation somehow handles the old one.
I am stucked with this. How to correct thhe print program so that the form will be activated withoiut this syntax error.

Activation lock on former employees iPad

I work for a small company and we have a sales force of 8. We bought iPad 2's from AT&T for the salesmen. One of the salesmen was let go a month ago and he turned in his iPad. Which sat in storage until this week when I took it to get it ready for a new employee. When I turned it on I saw the iSO 7 update was waiting so I updated the iPad and wiped it. Now it's asking for the former employee's Apple ID and password.
We've made nurmurous attempts to contact the former employee without sucess. When another employee was able to reach him, he claimed he forgot the password and did not have access to it. We are quite sure he is just being vindictive for being let go.
So the issue is, we have a company owned iPad, bought throught AT&T, through our business rep which we still have the receipt for that is now useless. AT&T says it's an Apple issue and everything I've read seems to indicate that Apple will do nothing to help. The kicker is that the employee used their company email address for their Apple ID, yet must have changed their emergency email to their perosnal email because we have access to their email box and do not get the reset email when we use the iforgot website.
Is there any remedy?

Newsletter form activating event registration form

I have a newsletter form in a content holder that is part of my template. When a user signs up for the newsletter while on the event registration page, it activates the event registration autoresponder email saying that they signed up for the seminar.
Is there a bubble issue within the BC js? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We want to give the customer the option of either paying by credit card on our own site (which is seamless) but we also want to give them the option of going to the paypal site which is why we have that radio button option. It seems that if the submit button is pressed but they don't go through with the payment on the paypal site that the event booking still takes place. I know about the "Pay Now" buttons that are used with Paypal standard but the option to insert the paypal payment method is available from the web forms sections of BC. I created the form using the e-commerce part of the web forms section so the option seems to be built into the form code by the BC developers. I'm just wondering whether this is a limitation of using a form with a paypal option on an event booking form. Do you know if there is a workaround, ie. whether there is any code that could check to see if the payment went through before creating the event booking?
There's also another problem that I ran into when I did a complete test, by clicking the paypal option, and then going through with a payment on the paypal site. The payment went through successfully but then when the browser tried re-directing back to our site, I got the following error:
ERROR: An unknown error occurred. This is most likely due to the merchant profile not being set up correctly. Please contact your system administrator for help
I spoke to Paypal about this and they said that this was a problem with the BC code. Do you know what causes this error and what the workaround is?
Really appreciate any further help.
