Activities missing in worklist in web time sheet (ESS)

We have a problem concerning activity elements which are present in the worklist in CAT2, but are partially missing in the worklist in the web time sheet. We are using SAP enhancements CATS0001, CATS0009 og CATS0010. I have looked into the project structure in CJ20N to ensure that the the status for the activity elements that are missing and those that are present, are the same. Is there any difference in the functionality that is generating the worklist in cat2 and in the web time sheet? How can I debug this issue?

You need to use a HTTP breakpoint in your implementation at a place where you pass the activity types.

The ESSTimeSheet is now called Record Working Time & for now it is still in WebDynpro JAVA.. looking at how complex the whole application is, it will really take some beating to rewrite the same in WDA.

Sepreate Time sheets activities and PS activities

Hi Experts,
Can someone help me on this.
We have wanted to record time against activities which are not similar to project activities.
That is project activities are defined, for reporting and calculating consultants efficiency purposes we wanted to define separate activities, which the user will have choose after selecting the Network and Project activity. How can this be done.
Each of the project activity should be linked to any of the activity which is related to time sheet,
Can this be done to task/task type.

Check the possibility of mapping hte same with Attendance / Abscense type... of Data entry profile. The same is under IMG-> Time Managment..... This will only help you reporting perspose. like as Person A has spend 10 hours on Project activity X , than out of that 10 hours you can find, he has spend 2 hours on traning, 5 hours on consulting, 3 traveling. like as

ESS Time Sheet - Print button missing

Hi all,
Refering to the thread "ESS Record Working Time - Print button gone in latest release?" (), has anyone actually managed to solve this in an (for the customer) acceptable way?
Even though SAP for some reason desided to take the print functionality away for the time sheets, the customer still wants to print... So, if anyone out there know a decent solution, please share your knowledge! I´m in desperate need of help.

Architectural structure of ByD time sheet from Home - Self-Services

Hello,
I need some information about the architectural structure of the time sheet from the ByD self services. Concretely I need to know which BOs represent the base of the time sheet and whether it is possible to use their services in self generated Web Services.
My requirements are to create a Web Service, which on the one hand delivers allready submitted working times to an external application, and on the other hand receives new entries from the external application.
Because there is a difference in submitting working times related to a project task or just to an activity I need additional information on the BOs and services which are used by the standard time sheet to retrieve the available project tasks and work activities.

This is regarding the Manager time sheets.
Manager has rights to change the employee time sheet.
When the employee time sheet data is changed by Manager ,at that moment generate email to the employee.
how i will achive this functionality.
is there any BAPI for this one.Please tell to me.

Report to Verify Pending Aproval of Time sheet on CATS

Hi Experts,
Earlier Manager has faced some problem in approving Time sheet because of some missing authorizations, we have fixed that now we have to verify if he has any time sheets still pending for his approval.
We use Cats Applicatiosn, all the employees has to fill the time sheet and it will be sent to managers appoval this is built on CATS application.
Is there any report i can run in SAP to find out how many employees time sheet is pending for particular manager approval.

One of the ways is to approve the time sheets viz MSS where in Manager will be able to see which all personnel time sheets are pending for approval.

If this parameter is set to true, then the list of materialized views is refreshed in a single transaction. All of the refreshed materialized views are updated to a single point in time. If the refresh fails for any of the materialized views, none of the materialized views are updated.
If this parameter is set to false, then each of the materialized views is refreshed in a separate transaction.Each one becomes a separate transaction. Some may run in parallel, some serially, you have no control. So it may well be one at a time. The bigger issue, if they are separate transactions, is that if someone queries one the corresponding data may not exist in the others. Is this what you want?

Timesheet(time Administartion- Time Sheet) WSDl is throughing error when consumed by SOAP UI

Hi Prasad,
if you are testing Cloud WSDL via SOAP UI and any error you can check into Application and User Management --> Business Communication Monitoring --> and from drop down select "Reject Web Service Call" option to know more about your error.
as per you error i thing if Work Assignment 1 is not available or may be leading zero problem, i don't know but you can check the error log into the cloud may be its helpful to you.

Data Source 0ca_ts_is_1(Time sheet data (Approved)) config prob(urgent)

we need to extract the data from 0ca_ts_is_1(Time sheet data (Approved) but the problem is the no of records in the table CATSDB is 849 but in RSA3 (0ca_ts_is_1) there are 500 records only.
What could be the resons?.

what is the level on granularity in CATSDB
Is all the fields in this table are seen in the datasource 0ca_ts_is_1
If some fields are missing the data is summarized to the next available level of granularity
You can see the combined totals of table contents and RSA3 total contents of certain key figures to ensure this

Integrate project open (third party tool for time sheet management) in EP

Hello Experts,
I have third party tool for time sheet management (Project Open) and EP7.0 SP17. I tried to integrate third party tool with portal by using the App integrator. But it is not working properly. Again and again its asking authentication. I followed same steps to integrate this tool by using App integrator in portal.
we filled the system properties Server name is projects.company.local and Web Application URL is /intranet/.
What i made mistakes in this, please help me.

Lock WBS for time sheet users, allow expenses

Hi,
I have one project which is having release status.
Now as i have finished my hours for this project , so i want to lock WBS element for Time Sheet users.
But at the same time accounts user should be allowed to book expenses on this WBS element.
How and which status should i set in this case?

You can define the required User status in the status profile .
For eg your Network has a status profile ZPSxxxx and the status profile for the activities is also the same .
you can define your required User status within that status profile and define whatever business trnasactions can be carried out on assigning the User status .
Further more , i think you need to develop a user exit in addition to the User status .
When the user enters his time sheet the Logistic confirmations are posted only when the Time sheets are transferred to PS/PM/CO et...
so even setting the status might not stop the user from reporting time , but the hours would land up in COFC as erroneous confirmations .
So a user exit might help you to check the user status on the object and prevent the user in reporting time itself .

Time sheet entry

Dear All,
we are running two system. One is HR Server and the other is CORE Server (for FICO,MM,PS,SD,PP) . We have been maintaining projects in the CORE server. Now while entering Time sheet in HR server we want the system to validate the network, wbs and the activities in the CORE server. Can we use any Function module for this purpose.
If this is not possible then we want to copy all the projects to the HR systems.

The basis team should be able to copy the config table and the transactional master data from Project systems to HR. Check with your PS team to provide the table names. I think they might have already had the group of tables and transaction data available for transfering for testing purpose.

We are calling our operators as associates. We are planning all our activities & executing them using Pm orders. Each operation is assigned to the personal number. Now we want to integrates time sheet updation with the confirmation. My requirement is to update time for associates automatically in time sheet when i confirm the order operation assigned to person. First You have to create the
Data Entry Profile
The data entry profile determines the method of data entry, the layout of the data entry screen, and the following factors:
Whether times can be entered for individual employees or for groups of employees
Which data can be maintained (confirmations, services, and so on)
Whether time sheet data is entered on a daily, weekly or monthly basis
Whether or not the data entered is subject to approval

Cross-Application Components--->Set Up Data Entry Profiles and Field Selection
After then You can use TC CAT2 in whch you have to mainain the Responsble persong along with activity time and cost center,Order for which you want to fill required Time Confirmation.Then you have to Use TC CAT9 for transfer Working hours of responsible person to Order.Execute this transction.Now you can see the posted time in iw33 EXTRADocument For order----Completion confirmation.

Why is my Time Sheet not working on Android Readers?

I have a Time Sheet with Javascript that adds the times up, and it works perfect with the PC version of Adobe Reader, but when I try to use it on a nexus 7 tablet the calculations don't work.
I have tried the official Adobe Reader for Android as well as about a dozen other readers. If there is a reader that will work with this sheet as is, I don't mind paying for it, or perhaps part of my JavaScript is not supported on mobile, and I can change it with a workaround.
