Actual Posting date in VL09

Hello,
Can any one please explain me the significance of Goods movement date in VL09. Also let me know the config steps to suit the below requirement.
On VL09 (reverse goods movement) screen, default reversal date is the system date. The user has to select the line, click on “define date” button and enter the correct cancellation date to the “local date” field on the pop-up.
We want the reversal date on VL09 screen to be the same of “ActGIDat – Actual good issue date” as default.
thanks
Chaitanya

Hi Chaitanya,
You can preset the posting date for goods movement with the actual goods movement date. For example, if the posting should occur in a previous period or month, you can do so with this default.
If the goods movement date is not filled in, the system automatically uses the current date.
The posting date for the material document is filled using the actual goods movement date. The document date shown on the material document is the current date.
Regards,
Sudarshan.

  • Clearing after posting date not required in FF67

    Hi
I have given posting date as 31.01.2010 in FF67 (manual bank reconciliation statement).
But in-spite of the posting date is given as 31.01.2010, all the entries posted with posting date of February in incoming account / outgoing account is also considered for clearing.
So is it possible to restrict the same.

    Hi,
You might have entered an amount of a document, which is posted with FEB posting date, while entering the bank statement items in the next screen of FF67.
The clearing date can be earlier than the posting date while FF67.
The actual posting date (FEB date) will become the value date for the reconciliation posting entry to the main bank account line item. (Line item generated by system by doing FF67)
    Please check.

  • Posting date wise PM order actual cost

Say an order's basic start date =  26.7.2011
material is reserved on the order on 29.7.2011 with planned cost Rs100 .
Now reservation is issued with MIGO with posting date  2.8.2010
Now I want a report where I can see this cost by posting period.
Say if I enter 1.7.2011 to 31.7.2011 then cost should be zero .
only cost should come when i will enter 8th month .
One more point should be there the report should not consider controlling area's currency .

  • Posting in prv period for actual GI date

    Hi,
I want to post a outbound delivery  in the prv period as 31.12.2009  so that I can make GR in prv period posting date as 31.12.2009. ofcourse the period is open for Dec'09 and Jan'10 . I tried by changing date in field actual GI in vl02n  and saved the delivery , but system takes todays date as posting date. That is system allows posting date for the month of Jan'10 while GR . Is there any method by means I can get this changes saved and take entry in GR.
    Thanks & Best Regards,
    AK

In my system it accepts 31/12/2009 in actual GI date , when  I checked up the material document & account document for this perticular OBD under document flow , I get posting date as 08.01.2010 and the posting period as 10 and 2009 generated internally. That's why I get ERROR like "MARC-VMTRA exceeded by 16.090 MT"  if I take posting date 31.12.2009 in GR, where as for posting date 01.10.2010-08.01.2010 does not show any error. This is my assumption.
Will pl check in your system the document flow -> material document & account document posting date for OBD.

  • Change Posting Date of an  existing OD Cancellation Document (VL09)

    Hello everyone,
I have cancelled an outbound delivery  (VL09) with posting date 12.08 when the original posting was on 11.07. Now, I want to post a new outbound delivery with posting date 11.07 but it is not possible due to the availability check (The quantity to be returned will be delivered on 12.08 and I want to post on 11.07).
Does anybody know how to solve the problem?
I have tried to modify or cancel de material document created when cancelling the Outbound Delivery, but the system does not allow it. The best way would be to modify the date in which the Outbound Delivery was cancelled.
I would really appreciate any help relating this issue.
Thank you very much in advanced,
    Víctor Liedo

It is not availability check that is causing the stock problem. It would occur even when available check is set to KP.
What happens is, at the time of issue (601 movement in your case), the system checks the stocks as on that date.
Because of VL09 with a posting date of 12.08, the stocks are now available as on 12.08 and not on 11.07 (which is in the past).
So I would suggest the following:
    - Perform a PGI again with a posting date of 12.08
    - Perform a VL09 with a posting date of 11.07.
    - Perform a PGI with a posting date of 11.07
This is a cumbersome process, but unfortunately this is how it works.

  • Change posting date during UD Reversal

    Hi All
During working with a UD reversal program by using SAP note 175842 i came to know that the posting date only comes as the current date.
If Today i am  reversing  the UD of a batch which is 15 days old (Example-15.02.2014) then the posting date in the material document will be of today.
But my requirement is that, date should be the actual inspection lot creation date ie. 15.02.2014 . I have already discussed with the technical team , as
per their understanding no option is there to edit the standard program.
Please help me in this regard, is there any option to change the posting date.
    Regards
    D Mohanty

    Hi,
I understand that you are looking to make 322 movement today but need posting date/ document date in past. I tried my reversal program and I could achieve this. While making the UD reversal, change the date which is required.
In following case, I made the 321 today but in back posting date i.e 15.02.14. For this, refer Document date.
Then again, while making the reversal, I entered the backdate (20.02.14) and same is appearing for the document. Refer 322 movement.
Ofcourse you need to allow posting in previous periods using MMRV.
If you need something else, please come up again.

  • Third Party GRN Posting Date to be Copied to Sales Order Line item Billing Date

    Hello Experts
I have a client requirement where in they want to bill line items in the sales order ( third party process ) to the end customer in sync with the GRN posting dates happened in the PO
For EG if GRN happened on 1st July 2014 then Billing Date should come in as 31st July 2014 so when they execute VF04 giving from and to dates as 1st july to 31st corresponding sales order can be invoiced
Actual problem is for suppose if i create a sales order in the month of june say 26th basing on the factory calendar setting and invoicing list maintained in the customer master system defaults the billing date to 30th June 2014 , and the same when user runs VF04 from 1st June to 30th June this sales order shows as due and mistakenly end user invoices the customer ( whereas logical GR would have only received in July 1st )
My requirement is similar to below threads but i am unable to find answer how to copy GR Posting date to Billing Date of the sales order line item
use GR Doc date as billing date
3rd party sales process (w/o ship notif) - Billing

    Hi Lakshmipathi ji,
As my requirement is to update the billing date at the sales order line item level , As a process user goes in executes VF04
    For Ex
Sales Order Created Date is 1st June 2014 then System Defaults Billing Date at line item to 30th June 2014
Now when i do GRN suppose on 1st July 2014 for that line item , system should trigger a code where in check the posting date of the GRN and override the same in the Biiling Date field of the sales order line item
So when VF04 is run for a month All the GRN which are recieved in the month of July are invoiced in July
Please share me your thoughts do we need to check any userexits from MM side which reads the posting date of GRN and then copies in to my third party sales order

  • For a Sales order, what is Actual Delivery Date to Customer?

    Hi Experts,
I am an ABAP consultant. In a particular report, for a Sales order I am asked to display:
    ‘Delivery Create Date (LIKP-ERDAT)’,
    ‘PGI Date’,
    ‘Requested Delivery Date (VBAK-VDATU)’ and
    ‘Actual Delivery Date to Customer’.
And in addition, I also have to show:
‘No: of days between Order Create Date to Delivery Create Date’,
‘No: of days between Delivery Create Date to PGI Date’,
‘No: of days between Requested Delivery Date to Actual Ship Date’ and
‘No: of days between Order Create Date to Actual Ship Date’.
I’ve searched SCN for similar questions but I couldn’t get clarity. I’ll be very grateful if somebody can explain me how to find the ‘Actual delivery date to customer’ and what is the difference between this date and ‘Billing date’. Also, please explain, the difference between ‘Delivery Create Date’ & ‘PGI’?

    Hi Rashmith,
It seems the report is related to delivery. Below is the explanation for the different terms you mentioned in your question.
Delivery Create Date (LIKP-ERDAT)---- when a delivery is created with or without reference of an order system writes the date of creation time of creation and created by in the header data. Creation of delivery does not means that goods are dispatched. There are many steps further after a delivery is created before goods are dispatched.  For example I have created an order, created delivery on 01.01.2014; delivery date will always be 01.01.2014.
PGI Date (LIKP-WADAT_IST)------ Post goods issue date is the date on which goods move out of the company to carrier. This is the last step of delivery. When delivery is created system derives different dates of planning; at this stage it will determine the planned PGI date (LIKP-WADAT) and when actual PGI  happens system writes the date in LIKP-WADAT_IST which is actual goods issue date.
Requested delivery date (VBAK-VDATU)------When order is created for a  customer he asks for a material, a quantity and a date on which he wants the goods. This date on which customer wants the goods is called requested delivery date. Based on the requested delivery date system will check feasibility of delivering the goods on the requested delivery date based on the delivery scheduling.
You can get the RDD based on the below logic.
Input the delivery number in VBFA-VBELN and VBFA-VBTYP_V and get VBFA-VBELV.
Input VBFA-VBELV in VBAK table and get the value of VDATU.
Actual Delivery Date to Customer-----Actual delivery date is Actual post goods issue date (LIKP-WADAT_IST). This is the date on which goods are issued to the customer and customer is liable for billing for the goods dispatched.
Difference between the Actual delivery date (Actual goods issue date) and billing date.
Normally as per standard SAP, once goods are moved out of the company customer is liable to be for billing for the goods dispatched. So by default in standard SAP system copies the actual goods issue date (LIKP-WADAT_IST) as billing date (VBRK-FKDAT) irrespective of the date of creation of the invoice (If delivery is goods issued on 01.01.2014 and billing document/invoice is created today i.e. 14.04.2014, system by default will take 01.01.2014 as billing date). And this is the correct practice.
However  if you want the current date as the invoice creation date instead of the actual goods issue date we can control it by copy controls feature given in SAP.
So based on the copy controls setting, it may be different from the actual goods issue date/ actual delivery date.

  • Posting Date of Depreciation in a different day

    We have the following problem
Once a month we run the automatic process of u201CDepreciation Posting runu201D but the posting date (In GL) is always the last day of the month.
We want that the posting date could be a different date inside the month, but the transaction u201CAFABu201D only ask for the period and always use the last dayu2026
Where could we  define a different posting date for the  u201CDepreciation Posting runu201D process?
P.D. We consolidate with other companies in legacy sistems that have different Periods and the last day of the month usually don`t match with the legacy periods. For example our legacy "May" Period finish on May 30, May 31 is in the legacy "June" period.

    Thanks Jagdish
We try to use differet variants of calendars, and we can depreciate in different periods and dates, but it dosn`t depreciate in the amount that does in the standar calendar
    Example:
We make a fiscal periods like this
1 may to 30 may as MAY; and 31 may to 31 june as JUNE,
We depreciate correctly MAY but the amount corresponde only from 1 to 30 (as should be)
But what we actually want is that the depreciation from 1 may to 31 may (standar calendar) could be posted on May 30 to ensure compability in the legacy reporting system.

  • Posting date and clearing date different in G/L clearing document

    Hi Friends,
While clearing a G/L manually using F-03, the clearing date is entered in the selection screen.
The clearing document which is posted is posted with the posting date same as the clearing date mentioned in the selection screen of F-03.
In what situations can the posting date of a G/l clearing document be different from the clearing date?
    Regards,
    Shilpi

    Hi,
The Clearing Date in F-03 is actually the Posting date, so in this case the posting date will be same as clearing date. But a clearing document can also be created when you reverse a FI document, in this case the Reversal document will have a clearing date different than posting date. Let me know if this info helps you

In my super huge extra large InfoCube (0CFM_C10) I got a lot of data. I take Posting Date, some KFG and CalMonth/Year. Unfortinally CalMonth/Year duplicates records, if I drop it off the columns/rows I get valid data by Posting Date.

    Dear,
When canceling a payment which was created in previous posting periods,
we  get system message "Date deviates from permissible range",so
the workaround is changing back the posting period to the previous one
and try to cancel the payment.
However, another system message pops up when we try to cancel payment
after changing back the posting period, which is the "creation date" or
    "posting date".
In this scenario, you should select the second option from the
cancellation options window, which is the 'Creation date'. I would like
    to explain more below.
Posting Date- means the posting date of the cancellation document, it's
not the posting date of the incoming payment that you wanna perform the
cancellation. In your case, selecting this 'posting date' option, system
deems that you want to post this cancellation document on its own
    posting date.
Creating Date- means the posting date/creation date of the incoming
payment, it makes sense that the system works fine if you select this
option. If you cancel the incoming payment and check the JE generated,
you will find that the posting date of this cancellation document is
actually recorded as the posting date of the incoming payment.
Wish it helps you.If you have any problems, please kindly let me know.
    Thanks and best regards,
