Actually supported features in JVM

My phone has PersonalJava, so it should not support SWING.... but I found out a method to get it supporting it, without asking the phone vendor to release a new JVM version: I had just to copy swingall.jar from an old SDK and copy it to the phone!
So, how can I really know which are the REAL capabilities of my JVM?!? Being it designed for limited-memory devices, it has been stripped down.... but as my phone/PDA memory can be expanded up to 1 GB (!), I need no stripping down, I want ALL features enabled! How can I accomplish this?!?

You can do Edit in place with autoversioning enable. Which will create version in contendb also checkout/checkin automatically.

  • Wism version 2 support feature "enable NAT address?

    hi all
i would like to ask some question that wism v 2 support feature nat address? because i see in configuration guide it just tell about wlc 5508. So, please give me or share information.
    Thanks.

Well that is the thing... will it work if you are using multiple ap managers?  What I was told is that the ap's still need to communicate with the management interface with the 2504, 5508... the newer stuff.  Its not like the 4400's where if you break up the management and the ap manager, you can actually isolate the ap manager on a vlan with the aps and the aps will communicate with the ap manager interface only.  The newer controllers don't function like that.  We had a client that migrated  and wanted to keep everything the same.... well it didn't work.  We had to enable routing between the ap manager subnet and the management.  I never split them apart and don't know why people do
Maybe we can get George to test it out
    Thanks,

  • Is Kuler actually supported anymore?

As lots of people seem to be finding that they can no longer log in or retrieve their password details I was just wondering if Kuler was actually supported anymore now there is a similar feature in Illustrator?
Although there is no feature for extracting colours from images in Illustrator, which is something which I really need as I get clients give me images so I can match colour schemes to.

    Hello ron44rodriguez,
The queue and notifier VIs were improved in LabVIEW 6.1 to become polymorphic and accept more data types than just strings. Please see the link below for more information on the change as well as a compatibility library available for download.

  • Update the supported features list

I suggest that you update the help guide about supported features.
Recently I was misguided because of that list on supported features, about horizontal swipe, flattened articles, on Android devices.
The list tells that its not supported on Android, but actually it is.

Sorry, I missed that one. I updated the help article. Thanks for reporting the error.

  • Java multithreading support in Oracle JVM

    Dear all,
I have some questions and observations regarding multithreading support in Oracle JVM. I have some java code that is stored in the database and is multithreaded (in separate threads I run a plsql procedure that does a lot of precessing). If I run the code with my standalone JVM it works like a charm, everything gets executed in separate threads. But if I store the code in the database and run it (with the custom JVM Oracle implemented for the server) it does not do any threading, all I have is a single thread that runs everything sequentially.
The logic is this: using JDBC I create a connection, get a parameter (number of threads) and then launch the threads (each thread creates its own connection and runs the plsql procedure). No resource is shared (I have no synchronized code, I do not yield).
My question is: does Oracle JVM supports multithreading or not? If yes, how to achieve it? Maybe there is something handled in JDBC? (although my code useses JDBC is not multithreaded) If this is not possible with java, do you now how to run something (oracle function, procedure) concurrently with PLSQL? (I tried with DBMS_JOBS but it does not work on all my databases and our DBAs discourage the use of them). Performing multithreading my launching different sqlPlus processes is not an option (as we have no security standard regarding the authentication -> connection is made by specifying in clear text the user and password).
I wanted to use java because is more simple, secure (the connection is already established as the classes are stored in the database) and easy to maintain (until now we use different scripts which run on Unix and Windows and this leads to double work).
The Oracle versions I use are 10g and 11g.
Thank you all very much for your time
    Just the best,
    Don

(Obviously the other post answers your question.)
If I am reading that correctly then you have a management issue - not a technological one.
You have a task to complete, presumably doing it efficiently is something that the company wants.
And you have two alternatives both of which the DBAs are not allowing you to use.
So at that point it is up to management to insist that the DBAs provide specific technological reasons (not hand waving) why those solutions are not suitable. And they should also be required to provide the outline of an alternative that is suitable.
Besides that you might consider why your solution cannot be implemented entirely in a single threaded PL/SQL routine. The fact that is harder is not a reason when the point of the excercise is to create something that is more efficient.

  • The SSL support feature is not properly configured. Https is not available.

    Hi all
We get the following warning message even though we are not using SSL.
"The SSL support feature is not properly configured. Https is not available."
I tried with the following parameter set to false in the MobileEngine.config, still the same warning occurs for each synchronization done. But the sync works fine.
    MobileEngine.Security.SSLSupport=false
Had any body come accross this one, if so please let me know.
    Thanks
    Raj

    Hi Raj
The error "The SSL support feature is not properly configured. Https is not available" will not cause any problems for you during synchronization.  The reason that this error is displayed is due to the fact that by default MI is configured to support HTTPS Synchronization and not HTTP. This is because it is recommeded to use HTTPS sync inorder to transmit data in a secure manner and this is very necessary in customer production system.  This so called error will not have any impact on sync but is just an information to the administrator.  This can be disabled by the use of parameter <b><i>MobileEngine.Security.SSLSupport=false</i></b> but make sure that this parameter is set to false even before performing the first sync i.e before obtaining a device id.  If you set this value to false after performing some syncs, the error is still visibile in either the Web Console or the NetWeaver Administrator because it would have been sent by the previous sync and these statments are retained and never purged.  Hope this helps and clarifies your doubts.

  • Appleworks crashes when using  "Font Menu in Actual Fonts" feature

In the past I was able to use the pull-down menu for "Font Menu in Actual Fonts" feature. Recently I found that this no longer was working, as I had trashed the preferences folder and the plist preference file for Appleworks. When I reselected the "Font Menu in Actual Fonts" item in the General preferences and selected OK, the program unexpectedly quit. This happened repeatedly, even after repairing permissions and pre-bindings, trashing the current preferences for appleworks, validating the fonts in the Font Book program, trashing other preferences, etc. It turns out that sometimes I get past the saving step for the preferences in Appleworks, but when I go to the pull-down menu for "Fonts", on the first try, I get a viewing of the fonts in their actual format, which crashes then if I am scrolling down through the fonts list. On the next try, I crash immediately when I highlight the fonts pull down menu. These symptoms are repeatable. Is it that I have too many fonts in my Font Book list? I have 148 listed fonts for my user account in Font Book. Also the font for Equation Editor named "MT Extra Plain:001.001" that I believe is associated with Appleworks is listed as having minor problems by Font Book in the name usability table and in the name table structure. If I delete the equation editor fonts this does not solve the problem. Similarly, If I de-install Appleworks, including preferences, and reinstall it, this also does not solve the problem. Are you able to help me stabilize Appleworks so I can use the "Font Menu in Actual Fonts" feature again? Thank you.
    Sincerely,
    Wilson

I looked for this font, yet it is not in any of the Fonts folders, either in the Macintosh HD/Library/Fonts location or in the user account/Library/Fonts folder which I accessed as you indicated via the "Go to Folder" menu). I do find however using EasyFind a file named Bauhaus 93.0_B8B8.ATSD in the following location: /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/ ATS.framework/Versions/A/Resources/Fontinfo/. Information on this file indicates that Bauhaus 93.0_B8B8.ATSD is a Unix Executable File. Is this a needed part of the system, and should I delete this?
For your further information, my version of Appleworks is 6.2.9, and per another posting by ptr66 Nov 3, 2008 (http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=8397234#8397234), not related directly to this posting, I also have disabled the Autosave and Recent items functions in the General preferences of Appleworks, which that posting indicated stabilize the program. These had no effect. Thank you for your input.
    Sincerely,
    Wilson

  • Digital Publishing Suite Help | Supported feature list

  • Supported feature or Luck? (Multiple users in LITE)

The docs led me to believe that LITE is a single user database.
However, if you create the database on a system that is shared, then define within ODBC ADMIN the connection to the shared database it will allow you to connect from any machine that has access to the shared directory that has the database (and of course has LITE installed).
Is this a supported feature or just luck?
    Thanks, DJ

Thanks for the quick reply. But when I log on under the standard account is when I only see blank finder windows. Any other ideas?
I don't think we're on the same page. When signed-on as the standard user, open a Finder window to +that user's+ home folder, then go into TM. You should then see +that user's+ backups, for all backups since that user was created.
If all you see is the +Today (Now)+ window, that's an occasional bug in Snow Leopard. Just exit TM and try again.

  • Mobile browser support feature requires sign in.

We have a site that is largely anonymous and public facing.  I tried enabling the "Mobile browser support" feature at the site level, which provides a much better mobile experience.  However, when users are redirected to the mobile-friendly
site, they encounter a sign-in challenge before the page loads.  This is not the desired behavior in our case.  Is there a known workaround for this?

    Hi Josh,
Based on your description, my understanding is that the users got authentication prompt when accessing SharePoint site which was set to allow anonymous access in mobile device.
I recommend to use PowerShell command to check if the site has ViewFormPagesLockdown enabled: get-spfeature -site
    http://sitecollectionURL
If ViewFormPagesLockDown is listed, it is enabled.
Then I recommend to disable it:
    $lockdown = get-spfeature viewformpageslockdown
    disable-spfeature $lockdown -url http://sitecollectionURL
If anonymous is already setup, you may need to disable\re-enable anonymous on the site.
    Best regards.

  • 4x Supported feature- Multiple Org

    Hello everyone,
One of the supported features in Discoverer 4.x is Multiple Organization while running against an Oracle Application Database. How does Discoverer support this specifically ? I know what Multi Org in Oracle Apps world is. But how does Discoverer behave while working with an Application database with Multi-org ? Thanks a lot!

Discoverer creates an Apps mode EUL that uses the Apps Security to view data. Thus the Data Security is handled by the Apps Security model.

  • Which mobile phones do actually support JavaFX?

    Hello,
im very interested in javafx for desktop application development. Since i can deploy my applications for mobile devices aswell, i would like to try that. Recently (yesterday) i bought a new mobile phone, a Nokia E71. I admit that i have absolutley no idea of mobile phone technology.
Which mobile phones are able to run javafx applications?
I read some articles, they said phones need to support the Mobile Service Architecture Specification (MSA) and need to meet the requirements of JSR 248 (i hope that is correct).
My phone supports Java MIDP 2.0, im not sure what this actually means and if JavaFX will work on it. There are so many informations that i lost the track a bit.
I would appreciate it if somebody could explain it to me.
    Best regards,
    Maximilian

    Hi Terrence,
i just tried to install the LocalSearch application, sadly it doesnt work. The installation process aborts with the following message:
    *"Application not compatible with phone!"*
I dont see any other ways to make it run. Wondering if there are any hacks, like upgrading to feature pack2?
Anyway i can still choose a different phone, any recommendations where JavaFX will definatley work? (should be equal or better than E71 features)
    Best regards,
    Maximilian
EDIT: it would be nice if somebody could try the LocalSearch demo on a S60 3rd edition, feature pack 2 or higher, or any full MSA compliant phone. And does it work with Windows Mobile 6.1 phones?

  • Does Adobe have actual support for their products?

Or does Adobe actually rely on these forums and/or for the customer figure things out for themselves?
First issue is that all video playback within Premiere CS6 stopped working ( periodically it works for a few days then stops again) . After trying all the recommendations  (clearing out the cache, uninstalling and re-installing Quick Time, etc.) now the program does not even shut down  and after forcing the program to close, it actually is still  runs in the back ground using 1 gigabyte of memory.
I keep up on the maintenance of the machine (weekly and sometimes every day), install all the updates from Adobe, as well as the driver for the video card (directly from the vendor).
So has Adobe stopped provided updates for CS6 by coming out with the CC version? Perhaps the Creative Cloud subscription is not really worth the money since you get what you pay for value wise.
By just browsing through the forum, there appears to many issues, so how reliable is the product ?

Venting is fine, but really asking for help requires more information... and, as far as I know, CS6 is receiving NO further updates (but, since I don't work for Adobe, that may not be 100% true)

  • LabVIEW 2009 SP1 Run-Time Engine (Minimum) (32-bit) for Windows - Supported Features

    Hi,
Can some one please point out what features are supported by the LV RTE (Minimum ) [LabVIEW 2009 SP1 Run-Time Engine (Minimum) (32-bit) for Windows]
    1) Is there a limit on the size of the exe which can be run on it?
    2) Will this support additional modules like DAQ etc.,? Or do we have to chose the regular installer ( 170 Mb ) for that purpose?
    3) If a list of what it does or does not support is available, it would be extremely helpful.
    Thanks In advance.
    Regards,
    Vijay

    Anand,
I did go through both the links that you had sent earlier before posting on the forum. For eaxample refer the following link where it says,
    http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/lang/en/id/1599
It does not contain the full run-time engine, but will allow some executables to run.
    1) What do they mean by 'some' executables. Is there a list of yay's and no's available?
    2) Can someone from NI reply to this and shed more knowledge?
    Regards,
    Vijay

  • Where is the actual support for Adobe business Catalyst? Why can't I just phone someone like other software companies?

I am concerned by the 'non help' , customer service platitudes available to me as a customer. I was left 3 minutes to go through auto call filtration to be told that there is no-one to speak to. I am a new customer, clearly I have a different view of what customer service is. I wonder what exec has ever tested this? Anyone in their right mind could see that this is just plain poor and unacceptable.
No a great start, as we stand I will not be recommending this platform within my business community which amounts to 30 companies because I am nervous they will receive the same shoddy service.
Don't worry though, I only have a security breach and need urgent help.

Because they are a large US corporation that doesn't really want to talk to customers one on one. They hide behind call-centers and help sites that are hard to use. It's just better for the bottom line and no one person (or very few)  knows enough to give you a useful answer. This is not just an Adobe problem. But large corporations generally suck at service. It's not good enough - but what are you going to do.  That said we've had reasonable success with the online chat service - just takes days rather than minutes to get satisfactory answers.
You know it goes like this:-
"What seems to be the problem?",
You " I have this problem, I can't find information on X, Ca the BC do this?"
"Please wait while I check (consults documentation - probably the same docs we can see)"
    You "hello",
    "One sec",
"I don't seem to be able to find that, can you file a support ticket",
You  "Can't you do that now for me?"
"Ok I can do that, your support ticket is this xxxx, but we'll email you. We'll come back to you with an answer later",
    You "Thanks".
"Is there any thing else we can help you with today?",
You "No Thanks, just the question please".
15 minutes may have passed by this time, you have no useful answer (typically) and will have to wait 1 to 2 days for an answer (typically) and this is often "No sorry we don't support that right now".
This is typical, so generally we contact support as a last resort only. Google usually has better answers.  But then this is what Adobe and most Large Software companies/Corporations want. You almost never get to talk to the "Horses mouth", a manager with clout, the product designer or developer.
We design, build and manage brand experiences for a number of large enterprises, personally we always recommend that these customers set up their support with real phone numbers and email along with contact forms (which I personally hate). In my mind typically you can deal with support matters in the fraction of the time if you can talk to someone directly who knows the product. A good telephone receptionist is 100 times more efficient than any call center (no matter what call center companies and software vendors tell you - the numbers lie).  It means Happier customers. Better feedback to those who make the decisions.
Better all round. But usually companies don't see it that way. Managers want remove themselves as far as possible from customers everyday problems and let an underling or "the system" deal with it.
Maybe that's why few humans actually like dealing with large faceless corporations - yet we do, we put up with it - because they can get away with it.
