Adaptateur usb rs422

  • Charging process is different in PC USB or adapter USB?

My ipod is charged for 97%.
If I connect it to my net adapter USB charger, it jumps to 100% instantly.
When I disconnect it, I get 97% again.
If I connect it to my PC USB port, it jumps to 95% instantly.
When I disconnect it, it jumps back to 97%.
I repeated this test 4 times, and it always shows 100% on net adapter, and 95% on my PC USB port..
Does my iPod know the difference between both?
    (iPod Touch 4G)

You should always eject the iPod before diconnecting.  However, if the iPod is not doing something with the cmputer (nothing is showing in the progress bar) then you can safely disconnect the iPod.  If the event of the iTunes freezing, you can exit iTunes and then disconnect.  However, sometimes the iPod will not work and you will have to place the iP{od in recovery mode and restore the iPod via iTunes.

    Hi,
I'm looking for an AC wifi (dual-band) adapter USB with support for OSX (Mountain Lion).
I've seen a few vendors releasing this but never with an OSX driver?..
    Thanks,
    Kris

Hi AJ77, what’s the security type you set on your router? In case it is set to Mixed mode, I suggest that you change it to WPA2 personal and see if that will help get the two devices connected. As far as I know, Linksys Smart Wi-Fi routers has an automatic firmware update feature. You may want to check if the firmware is updated. Do you have a different name for the 5GHz network?
Make sure that the 2 frequencies have different SSIDs to avoid any confusion on some wireless devices.

  • AH!! adapter USB plugs in and weird buzz

So.. I'm sitting there listening to my music and I see the battery is almost out and so i get my power adapter usb and plug it into my zen micro. Then I hear this loud buzz going on for like ever. Then I plug it out and then the buttons stopped working and everything freezes and I can't turn it off. SO, I take the battery out and but it back in and everythings normal again..
QUESTION: are there times were I shouldn't plug it into my zen micro? When are the times?

You should be able to plug the adapter in whenever, sounds like some anomaly happened. The only problem I've seen is removing the battery when the player is turned on, which causes an upset.

  • 30'' Cinema Display with mini-display-port to dual link DVI adapter usb hub

Hi all, I don't know if any one of you experience this issue and can help me.
I am using an unibody macbook pro (late2008 model) to connect to a 30'' cinema display via the famous $100 mini diaplay port to dual link DVI adapter. I have connected the usb cable from the ACD to the adapter and the usb cable of the adapter to my macbook pro. This setting works fine under OSX 10.5.7.
When I am using Windows Vista under bootcamp the USB hub on the back of the ACD doesn't work. The device manager of Vista shows an excalmatory mark besides the device "Generic usb hub"; and it reports a problem of "the device cannot be started".
I doubted this problem is due to Windows cannot recognise the $100 adapter as a "generic usb hub"; and apple has not release a driver for this $100 adapter for windows.
Since my MBP only has 2 usb ports and the $100 adapter already occupied one, it would be very much helpful if the usb hub of the ACD can work just like in OSX. Can anyone think of any suggestion?
Much appreciated for reading this post and thank you.

i don't have an answer for you, but i feel your pain. very frustrating when this happens with Apple products and Vista/Bootcamp. wish they were more compatible, for it would make things so much easier for the consumer.

  • DVI to ADC Adapter + Mini DVI to DVI Adapter = usb ports don't work?

I have a 23" Cinema with the ADC plug. I've been using it with the DVI to ADC adapter for many years, though I did not use any of the monitor's usb ports during this time. I recently bought a new Macbook, so now I have am combining a Mini DVI to DVI adapter with the DVI to ADC adapter. The display works fine, but now I find the usb ports on the monitor do not work. I've checked all the pins involved and they are all straight and look normal.
Does this have anything to do with the double adapter situation, or could it just be that the monitor's usb ports are aging and haven't been used in a long time? Or is it possible these ports do not support usb 2.0 devices?

    Thank you Malcolm.
It's true I cannot adjust the display's brightness using the buttons on the monitor. But I can put the Macbook to sleep, both when the adapter's usb cable is plugged in and when it's not.
So if the usb circuitry has gone bad, will this cause me any other problems, or can I just ignore it? Right now I am trying to choose an external hard drive to buy, so I'm taking stock of my available ports. I don't think I'd put a big hard drive on a usb 1.1 port anyways.

  • Adapter USB (type A) to RCA (red white yellow) what now?

    Hello All,
My question to all of you is, I recently inherited a USB to RCA cable, I was hoping to plug it into one of the new digital tv's that has an extra auxiliary set of rca ports to video-mirror from my iBook to the digital TV...
1.1 Is there any particular driver I need?
1.2 Depending on my model of tv, consult the manufacturer?
1.3 Or am I dreaming in well...not technicolor...but Digital? Is there any uses for the cable then that you could suggest?

USB won't work, but you can use an adapter on the mini-VGA port. If the TV has a VGA port, use the mini-VGA to VGA adapter

If there is no VGA port, use the mini-VGA to Video adapter (but the resolution will be lower)

  • How to add a 2nd wireless adapter (usb) to a MacBook Pro?

I am in an area with a bad signal for wireless, and my airport won't pick up the signal reliably. I have purchased a hama WLAN USB-Stick with flexible antenna, so I can move it around for the best signal. It has drivers for OS X 10.5. However, the installation directions are for older versions of Mac OS X - not Leopard.
System Profiler detects the adapter, and I have installed the drivers from hama. Now, the instructions say to click on the Apple and select Environment in order to add a new ethernet port (en2, for example) - but, there is no 'Environment' selection under the Apple menu in Leopard.
So, how do I add this new port???

I have gotten it to work, but first, for Tim, the manual can be found here (pick the language of your choice) -
    http://www.hama.at/portal/searchSelectedProductNO/type*201/action*1026/searchMode*1/qwlan+usb-stick
In searching online, I found a "patch" at:
    http://www.hama.at/portal/searchSelectedProductNO/type*201/action*1026/searchMode*1/qwlan+usb-stick
The instructions on that page include the following text:
"This is USB CDC for g_ether Linux devices on OS X 10.5 ("Leopard"), patched by Angel Roman of Bug Labs. It has been tested to run on OS X 10.5.2 on Intel Macs.
This patch exists in order to provided IP-over-USB capabilities to OS X, allowing you to access various embedded Linux gadget-type devices ... connected to your Mac.."
That sounded like what I needed, so I went ahead and installed their patch - and, it worked. I unplugged the hama device from the USB port, installed the patch, and restarted my machine. Once everything was up, I plugged in the device - and up came the message that a new network device had been detected. Everything worked great from there on, and I'm connected to the hama device now in order to respond to Tim's message! It also shows up in the Network Utility as en2, just as it should.

  • 5 GHz Wireless N Adapter (USB 2.0)?

I purchased an Airport Extreme mainly for the dual-band technology (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz). We have Logitech speakers, phones, and Microwaves that interfere with the 2.4 ghz internet so much that it's almost impossible to use.
For Windows, can anyone reccomend a 5 GHz N wireless adapter? Preferably USB 2.0. (Just for reference, the options from the Airport are 2.4 ghz b/g/n, 2.4 ghz n, 5 ghz a, 5 ghz n.)
      Windows Vista

I think that if you are having problems with the 2.4 GHz, you'll find that it will even be worse at the 5 GHz option. The best deal is move the phones, try other channels, etc.

  • Mediatek (Ralink) wireless adapter (USB) AWUS052NH disconnects (HP Probook 450G1)

My Long Range USB wireless adapter (Alfa, Ralink AWUS052NH) continuously disconnects. Every 15 seconds a beep comes, the adapter can be seen in the networkscreen an then disappears. Also the Mediatek Wireless Utility does not work.I downloaded latest drivers but no effect. How can this be solved?

Yes. HP locks down the BIOS and if you install anything other than very specific wifi adapters the system will not POST. You are correct in thinking the Ralink is not the strongest option. Your best bet is Atheros or Intel in that order. Broadcom cards are a bit hard to configure with Linux but it can be done. Here is the entire list of wifi cards with part numbers that you can use:

  • S7-300 via SIMATIC PC Adapter USB to LabView.

    Hi.
Searched forum for answers but nothing exact found...
I'm trying to communicate LabView (read/write) with SIMATIC S7-300 PLC via USB Adapter (MPI->USB).
Tried tutorial with VISA Driver Wizard, but can't do anything without USB Protocol from that adapter...
Anybody have have idea how to solve this?

    Hi,
Thanks  JK1 for help. I've tried the second option, with Deltalogic OPC server (trial or 90 minutes demo) and it work fine. I can read variables directly from device in excel, using macros (supported by Deltalogic). But now I want to do it in LabView (academic license), so my next question is:
Which OPC client in LabView (best for academic license) should I use?
I know there are 4 options:
    -ActiveX Automation interface.
    -DataSocket Client.
-Datalogging and Supervisory Control module - DSC
    -Shared Variable Engine
And whre can I get any support/tutorial for any of this option?

  • I just purchased an Ipad 3.  Can the same car 12V outlet adapter/USB cord for the Iphone be used to charge the Ipad in the car?

Never mind, I found the answer.

Some will be phone sized, some may not be. Any apps in the app store with a + by their name are universal apps...meaning they scale up or down to fit the device.
I too went from a touch to an iPad and the apps transferred over quite easily.
