Adaptive content

Is there a way using InDesign or linking to external media such as an AI or PSD file that would have the content adapt to the given size without distortion/scaling? An example would be a background fill created with illustrator or photoshop (InDesign cannot create such?) and applying that to a 16:9 and 4:3 layout, such as 1920x1080 and 1024x768 resolutions. Additionally if I setup an InDesign file to have a rounded corner rectangle that expands it's width so there is only 100px padding on each side if I imported that file into a new indesign document and sized it to 50% of the page would it maintain the 100px padding and not have distorted/scaled corners while only extending from the left of the document to middle?
I have little experience with InDesign and looking to use it for UI design, photoshop is too static and doesn't seem to be able to link/update external media, smart objects of imported files become copies within the psd document If you know of any other alternative that might be worht looking into please let me know.

We spoke with BEA about this and they are simply not supported in the current rich text editor.
We wanted to put links in publisher to link to portal pages and we have come up with some workarounds. One workaround is to link to the page like this
http://server.com/portal/server.pt?uuID={XYX}
This link will open a page given a uuid. You can throw in mode=2 etc also. UUids are great because they don't change during a migration from dev to prod.
Hope this helps.
6.5 is going to include friendly urls and a better rich text editor.

  • Receiver File Adapter Content Conversion Problem.

    Hi All,
    I am getting in receiver file adapter due to content conversion setting. Problem is that all the fields coming in file adapter are optional. In content conversion , i have specified fieldfixedlengths. So whenever any optional field is not present , it fails . How should we handle it? is there any option to declare fields as optional, I know that is the there for sender adapter. But no. of fields is also very large, so putting each and every field as optional is very time consuming.
    What should i do?
    Ranjeet Singh.

    Hi Daniele,
    Instead of using the standard funciton , i created a UDF for handling this situation.
    My logic is UDF is like
       //write your code here
    int Size = Integer.parseInt(Truncate_Size);
    String Return_Value = "";
         if  (!("".equals(Input)) )
              if  (Input.length() > Size )
                   Return_Value = Input.substring(0,Size);
              else
                   Return_Value = Input.substring(0, Input.length());
         else
              for(int i = 0; i< Size ; i++)
              Return_Value = Return_Value + " " ;
    return Return_Value;
    SO in this case also , it should be able to handle empy source element. But it is not working.

  • Receiver File Adapter - Content Conversion

    Hi,
    I don't quite get this:
    I have a structure
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <AnElement1>
       <AnElement2>
          Bla bla bla
       </AnElement2>
    </AnElement1>
    I want to convert this to a flat file with a line containing
    Bla bla bla
    In te receiver file adapter I define the following:
    In the 'Content Conversion Parameters'
      Recordset Structure : AnElement2
      Name                         Value
    AnElement2.addHeaderLine         0
    AnElement2.fieldSeparator        'nl'
    AnElement2.endSeparator          'nl'
    This results in an Empty file each time indicating some error somewhere.
    What am I missing?
    Thanks

  • Attachment of original message in file sender adapter content conversion

    Hi,
    does anybody know how I can configure a file sender communication channel (with content conversion) so that the original file is added to the XI SOAP message as attachment? Maybe this is just a parameter in "Advanced" tab. (The content conversion itself is not an issue.)
    The result should be the "Main Document" (XML-message) and the "original document" as two attachments in the SOAP payload.
    The reason for this is that the original file should be archived with the XML message as it was before the XML content conversion of the file sender adapter took place.
    Thanks,
    Philipp

    original file is added to the XI SOAP message as attachment?
    The "Advanced" tab -> additional files added in file adapter should act as the attachment to soap receiver adapter if u select the "Keep Attachments" option in soap receiver communication channel.
    What do u want to do in FCC is a bit unclear?

  • Receiver AS2 Advantco Adapter Content type change

    Hi All,
    I am working on SFTP to As2(Advantco) scenario. We are sending the txt files to target.
    As of now file is sent with content type application/xml. But target system is asking to change it to "application/octet-stream"
    In the AS2 adapter guide, there is section 3.4.4.8. MIME Settings which talks about content type change.
    Unfortunately i am not seeing that in the receiver channel.
    does anyone know how to change the content type for AS2 channel?
    Will standard adapter module work on third party adapter? like messageTransformBean
    Thanks.

    This could be because of adapter metadata is not updated one?
    >>> Yes. It's very much possible.
    Will standard adapter module work on third party adapter? like messageTransformBean
    >>> AFAIK - Advantco adapters does support MTB.

  • Sender File Adapter - Content Conversion

    HI Friends,
    I got a scenario where I need to convert the File to XML document through Sender file adapter..
    My file looks like below.
    BATCH1234........
    12DASER123142JMM
    237DSAFDLKC839890
    45SDFLASJ90011

    SD21352525
    BATCH998898...
    123145DSRTW
    12FSTS
    So there is a Header and Body for each record set..
    My XML Structure is as follows.
    <TimeStructure>
      <TimeRecord>
         <ControlRec>
             <Field1>BATCH </Field1>
             <Field2> ...</Field2>
         </ControlRec>
         <DataRec>
             <F1> ...... </F1>
             <F2> ...... </F2>
         </DataRec>
      </TimeRecord>
      <TimeRecord>
         <ControlRec>
             <Field1> BATCH  </Field1>
             <Field2> ADFAS  </Field2>
         </ControlRec>
         <DataRec>
             <F1> ...... </F1>
             <F2> ...... </F2>
         </DataRec>
       </TimeRecord>
    </TimeStructure>
    The blog <a href="/people/shabarish.vijayakumar/blog/2006/02/27/content-conversion-the-key-field-problem:///people/shabarish.vijayakumar/blog/2006/02/27/content-conversion-the-key-field-problem
    is somewhat relevant to my requirement.
    But the problem is I have the keyfield "BATCH" for my header file but don't have any <b>key field in the data record</b> of the input file.
    Please help me out how to mention the configuration parameters.
    Regards,
    Kumar

    Hi,
    If you don't have constant key value for your detail records, then you can not directly get the required xml.
    So in this case, you can read all the records in a common Row model, i.e each record will be considered as a one row with all the values, and then split this row with Substring or java functions in the mapping.
    Even you can do this in the Adapter module .
    If you have key value for each record to identify then you can try with content conversion.

    Moorthy

  • File adapter content conversion

    Hi all,
      We are having File to File Scenario
      We are facing problem in Content conversion in File
      Adapter(Sender)
      The source file is in text format and fields are
      seperated by '|' character
      The source file structure is :
      Header|No. of Records
      Data Record1
      Data Record2
      Data Recordn
      Trailer|No. of Records
         where Data Recordn is of type Field1|Field2|Field3|Field4
         and the number of data records is variable
         e.g.
         Header|5
         2|144012|20050801|20050801
         212|012|20050801|20050801
         244012|2|20050801|20050801
         2144|144012|20050801|20050801
         212|012|20050801|20050801
         Trailer|5
      Now , we need to ignore the contents of Header and Trailer Records
         For Header , we are setting the property Document Offset to 1
         Hence the Header record is ignored
         However , we are facing problems in ignoring the Trailer record
         We want to know :
         1. Is there a direct way ( or some propety ) wherein we can ignore the last record of the file ,
            which in this case is Trailer record
         2. We also tried the following :
              a. We set the Recordset Structure to : row,*,trailer,1
              b. However in this case , the keyField is required for row ;
                 but since the number of data records is variable ,
                 the keyFieldValue cannot be specified
           How should we go about in this case
    Please guide us on this
    Regards
    Shikha

    Hi all
    Thanks for replies
    Actually , we are able to ignore header and that is not an issue
    Now if we need to discard the trailer record , we believe that RecordSet Structure should be <b>row,,trailer,1</b> or <b>header,1,row,,trailer,1</b>
    However , since structure is <b>row,*</b> ; we need to specify the <b>keyField</b> column for row ( data records )
    Since <u>number of data records</u> is variable , we are not able to set the <b>keyFieldValue</b> for <u>row ( data record )</u>
    Can you'all please guide us on this as we are stuck on this .

  • Sender SMTP Adapter / Content Based Routing / Mapping of an attachement

    Hi all,
    I'm still working on my SMTP --> PI --> Proxy scenario (asynchronous). I've tried several different properties of my sender communication channel (type = mail), but I didn't find the correct configuration. Hopefully it exists.
    I'm working with PI 7.0 SP10.
    I get an inbound message via Mail using sender SOAP Adapter. The message payload itself is an attachement. Now I'd like to do the following:
    a) Content Based Routing in Receiver Determination based on the message subject
    b) Mapping of the Attachement XML message to my inbound proxy interface
    Now, trying to do so, I didn't get it work. When I use XIPAYLOAD with keep attachements, I get two attachements in my inbound message (one in XI mail package format having the subject within, one with the IDoc structure I'd like to map). How can I assign the second attachement to be used for my message mapping?
    When I use XIALL instead of XIPAYLOAD, I think the mapping will work but my subject for content based routing will be lost, right? That one I didn't get running because of another failure, so I don't know the exact behaviour of the adapter for that configuration.
    Anybody out there who know the correct configuration for the sender mail adapter for my small scenario above?
    BR
    Holger

    Hi Stefan,
    sorry for misunderstanding, for sure I'm using the mail adapter, not the SOAP Adapter. I'm actually on the same direction. I'm using XIPAYLOAD as message protocoll (having the attachement as the content for the mapping --> correct). Furthermore I've also found the predefined context objects for the content based routing receiver determination.
    What I missed was setting the following properties in the communication channel:
    To store adapter attributes in the message header of the XI message, set the Set Adapter-Specific Message Attributes indicator.
    The following attributes are added to the XI message header if the sender makes them available, and if the Variable Transport Binding indicator is set.
    Now it's working

  • Sender Mail Adapter Content Conversion

    Hi All,
         I just want to know if we can send a flat file(Rather Than the XML) with content conversion using Mail Adapter. If yes then what are all the possible ways for this.
    I have tried but i am sucessful in sending the complete payload as a XML file, but i want the file with the content conversion, so that this should be able to picked by the third party systems.
    Will be oblidge if any supported blog or pdf is provided for the same.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Jay

    Hi,
    Now for the negative items, i want to send them back to business as flat file format
    using the mail adapter as attachment. This will help them to process the file as for there
    requirement.
    Since you need to send an email message you have to use the format mentioned here: (S-UserID required)
    https://websmp205.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/012006153200000361852004E/ximail30_xsd.txt
    Save this file as an XSD in you local system and upload it as an External Definition in your XI server.
    Develop MI based on this External Definition (IN, ASYNC)
    Create an Interface Mapping with Source as the file containing Negative items and target as the above developed MI
    Now you need to develop an XSLT mapping (can use StylusStudio to do it) between the source and target Message Types
    This XSLT mapping has to be designed in such a way that it extracts the payload out of the Negative Items message and maps it to the target (Content) field....you need to use CDATA element of XSLT here.
    In this mapping itself you can define to what email-id you want to send the message.....
    Everything happens on the XI --> Business service side...so it is not the sender channel but is the receiver channel:)
    Your XSLT mapping will look something like:
    <Mail>
         <Content>
              XSLT CODE
         </Content>
    </Mail>
    where Mail and Content are the tags in the email message format...the External definition one.....
    If you are new to XSLT then refer to my answer in this thread...
    Re: JAVA MAPPING

    Abhishek.

  • Mail adapter - content coming as attachment

    Hellow experts,
    I am sending data from R3 to emails using mail adapter.  I am using the follwoing mail package format.

  • File Receiver Adapter - Content Conversion

    Dear All,
    We are using <b>DB to file Scenario</b>.We are using File Content conversion to get a File Comma Separated.
    Data is picked up from the DB and our payload before getting in to File adapter is given below.
      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
         <ns6:AssoInfo_MT xmlns:ns6="urn:NDB2File2DB">
         <AssoInfoList>
          <AssoInfoNode>
           <Name>ABCX</Name>
           <ID>31154</ID>
           <Salary>10000.0</Salary>
          </AssoInfoNode>
         <AssoInfoNode>
           <Name>ASDAS</Name>
           <ID>18978</ID>
           <Salary>10000.0</Salary>
         </AssoInfoNode>
         </AssoInfoList>
      </ns6:AssoInfo_MT>
    In File content conversion we are giving
         <b>AssoInfoNode.addHeaderLine = 0
            AssoInfoNode.fieldSeparator = ,
            AssoInfoNode.endSeparator = 'nl'</b>
    We are getting output as
    <b>ABCX,ASDAS</b>
    But the <b>expected</b> output is
    ABCX,31154,10000.0
    ASDAS,18978,10000.0
    What change we need to do in our File Receiver Adapter configuration.
    Regards,
    Vedavyas

    Hello,
    Test without these 2 options :
         AssoInfoNode.addHeaderLine = 0
         AssoInfoNode.endSeparator = 'nl'
    I think your problem is with the "endSeparator", it is not necessary.
    A new line is created for each new AssoInfoNode automaticaly.
    Regards,
    Chris

  • Complex XML to Plain in JMS adapter "Content conversion module"

    Hi!
    I have read the document on "How To… use the content conversion module with XI3.0 J2EE JMS Adapter", and it says only SimpleXML can be converted in the receiver channel.
    I had hoped for a solution at least as good as in the File/ftp adapter, where complex XML can be transformed to files.
    Are there plans to include complex XML conversion in the JMS adapter?
    I can not use the file adapter as I need to change the file name and destination, and that can not be done by adding own module to its single module.
    Any idea how I can achieve what I want?
    To only way I can find, is to create a file using the file/ftp adapter, and then pick it up again and treat all the lines as the same structure (one row = one xml field). Then output this new xml message to file, using the JMS adapter and add any modules with name and destination determination.
    Appreciate any help!
    Regards,
    Oeystein Emhjellen

    Hello,
    Have you tried to use an XSLT mapping within the IE?
    I have, at one customer site, created a XSLT message mapping which converts the  XML to a fixed length ASCII file format. I than added the XSLT message mapping as a second mapping step on the interface mapping.
    In this case I was able to publish a fairly complex fixed length file format to MQ Series via the JMS adapter.

  • Receiving file adapter content conversion issue

    Guys,
    Could someone please help me with a Receiving file adapter issue?
    My output structure is something like this:
    Vendor_file_MT (occurence 1)
    --Recordset (occurence 0..unbounded)
    Vendor (occurence 1)
    Field1
    Field2
    Field3
    Field73
    Field74
    My content conversion is very simple:
    Recordset Structure: Vendor
    Parameters:
      Vendor.fieldFixedLengths   30,30,30, (...) ,1,27
      Vendor.fixedLengthTooShortHandling   Cut
      Vendor.endSeparator   'nl'
    If I don't do the content conversion, it works fine, I get all the fields in the XML format.
    When I do the content conversion however, I get multiple lines but only the very first field of each line.
    What could be the problem? What am I missing here? Any idea?
    Your help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Viktor

    Varga:
    Its little strange that its not working even after adding that.  Did you check the receiver channel in your RWB for any logs. Add the statement in my previous post and Also try to clear the Cache and activate the channel again..See if it works
    Glad it worked

  • File Adapter - Content conversion parameters at Receiver

    Hi all,
    I'm trying to translate a XML message to a text line file.
    My XML message is this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ns1:Proveedor_100011 xmlns:ns1="http://sap.com/xi/webservices/buyordint">
    <config>
    <directory>c:/tmp</directory>
    <filename>dynamicFile3.txt</filename>
    </config>
    <root><string>Header;423423</string>
    <lines>
    <value>LINE;</value>
    </lines>
    </root>
    </ns1:Proveedor_100011>
    I only want to write to text file the "root" TAG content.
    I try different "Content conversion parameters" in the integration builder (configuration)
    For example:
    RecordSet Structure: root
    root.addHeaderLine   0
    root.fieldSeparator  ;
    root.endSeparator    ;
    but the better result is all XML content.
    Can someone tell me how to skip "Config" TAG and only write the "ROOT" one?
    I'll apreciate any help.
    Thanks in advance,
    Diego.

    Hi Sravya,
    I've tried again without better luck.
    I change the root element of my message from

    I created the next message as in your weblog:
