Adaptive testing

Hello Everyone
How can i accomplish  adaptive testing using adobe captivate 5.5. I mean when a student does not get a question correct instead of giving the test taker the next question a difficult one, the test produces a question with a lesser difficulty of the same type.
A ->B-> C-> D->
When B is not correct
A->B->B1->B2->B3->C->D->
Thank you.

In practice this isn't all that easy to do.  Captivate's quiz scoring mechanisms are based on the expectation that the learner will be required to answer all questions in the quiz.  If you have extra questions included as part of the quiz and these questions are also scored, then your strategy of offering remedial questions (if those questions have scores attached) would penalise the more competent learner.
It means that if you have one learner answering four questions and another answering seven questions in the same quiz, the learner who answered only four questions will get a lower score than the other, even though technically they showed greater mastery.   If you do NOT score the remedial questions, then the learner that was forced to take the remedial path cannot make up for the ones they got wrong.
The only way around this impasse (that I have found) is to include questions that are not created using the standard quiz question slides.  In short, you use interactive objects such as clickboxes, buttons, and interactive widgets to create scored interactions.
Until recently, there was no way to alter the Captivate scoring variables via Advanced Actions.  But now the Interactive Master Widget allows you to design complex interactions using clickboxes, buttons, text entry boxes, and widgets, and then override the scores assigned to these objects to achieve dynamic scoring possibilities based on Advanced Action logic and user-defined variables.  This particular widget is VERY challenging to use and many Captivate developers struggle to get their head around what it can do.  So I recommend you download the trial version and experiment before considering a purchase.  Once you understand it, there's a whole world of new possibilities for Captivate quizzing behaviour.

  • Receiver JDBC Adapter testing?

    Hi
Can any one tell me ..how do I test specific adapter w'ther it is connected or not?
I have cross checked using adapter monitor, my jdbc adapter doesn't showing specific error(red) or success(green),in same JDBC monitor remainig channels showing all information..i thought it unable to connect?Am I correct?
Did i do any specific settings in JDBC receiver communcication channel?
I left default settings as it is in CC..
after giving driver details...i left default settings ..
    1. Interpretation of empty string values = Null value
    2. Persistance          = Local
    3. Conflict resolution  = Redo
and my datatype structure like this:

    <table>Payment_ReceiptFromSAP</table>
    <dbTableName action=”INSERT”>

mapping is working fine, tested! RFC sender channel working fine, picking the data from SAPR/3.
SXMB _MONI -- I haven't find any payload ..why? I thought if RFC is picking the daata properly then XI will hold that data into integration server?..how do i find this data?
It would be appriciated and rewarded , if you make me clear in this situvation..thanks in advance.!

    hi,
    >>I have cross checked using adapter monitor, my jdbc >>adapter doesn't showing specific error(red) or >>success(green),in same JDBC monitor remainig channels >>showing all information..i thought it unable to connect?Am >>I correct?
you will see in adapter monitoring only after the first time the call is made, the bean in generated and you will be able to see in atapter monitoring.
    >>SXMB _MONI -- I haven't find any payload ..why?
is ur scenaio synchronous?? if so then make sure you have logging set in sxmb_adm

  • AS2 Sender Adapter test

    Hi Experts,
I am working on a 856 AS2 to file scenario. I have followed the links EDI to 850 and a few blogs as well.
I have configured the scenario as following:
    IR
Message mapping and Interface mapping have been created for 856 to file and 997 to 997 EDI.
ID (party used .. (BC_CUST, sender) and (BC_XI, receiver ))
    2 Sender Comm. Channel - for 856 (Send_856, type AS2) and 997 (Split_997, type Split997)
2 Receiver Comm. Channel - file receiver and (AS2 receiver for 997)
    2 Receiver determination -
    ----Sender... || Interface ..... || Receiver ||

  • JMS Adapter Testing

    Hi Team
I am using the JMS adapter as a sender and the idoc as receiver. i want to test the  End to End scenario. i am using the Transport Protocol as " Access JMS Provider with JNDI".
I have been provide by a program which helps to write the xml message into the queue.
My doubt is how to run this program and where to run this java program??
this is the first time i am developing scenario by using the JMS adapter
    Awaiting for your replies
    thanx

    Hi,
Are you trying to test the scenario JMS -> PI ?
If you are trying to add a message to the queue, you can use MQ client software to do this - this allows you to connect to a remote queue manager and add messages to any queue on the queue manager.
    Cheers
    Colin.

  • JMS Adapter test

    Hi to all,
I have a JMS -> XI -> RFC scenario. Actually, I haven't my sender Business System, thus I want to use something to test my JMS Adapter. There is any tool that I can use to test my JMS adapter/channel or to simulate a MQSeries sender?
    Thanks to all!

You can put a test message directly in your communication channel:
RWB -> Component Monitoring -> Integration Engine -> Test Message
    or
You can create your own queue on the j2ee server:
See blogs of William Lee - How to use SAP's WebAS J2EE's JMS Queue in Exchange Infrastructure
    or
If your queue is in place, you can use a tool like rfhutil, but then you also need a mq client on your workstation. (all free so why not)

  • FIle adapter Test Mode

    Hi Guys,
What are the modes available in File adapter sender and receiver mode? what is Test mode for? can you pls send me a link on file adapter attributes?
    XIer

    Hi,
    Processing mode for File sender:
    <b>Archive</b>
Files that have been successfully processed are moved to an archive directory.
To add a time stamp to a file name, select the Add Time Stamp indicator.
Under Archive Directory, enter the name of the archive directory.
If you want to archive the files on the FTP server, set the Archive Files on FTP Server indicator. If you do not set the indicator, the files are archived in the Adapter Engine file system.
    <b>Delete</b>
    Successfully processed files are deleted.
    <b>Test
    Files are not processed.
Only use this mode to test the configurations of the file/FTP adapter or the Integration Engine/PCK. It is not suitable for productive operation.</b>
    <b> Set to Read-Only</b>
Successfully processed files are given this attribute. Only writable files are processed. This selection is only available for the File System (NFS) transport protocol.
File As receiver you have FILE CONSTRUCTION MODE
    <b>Create,Append,Add Time Stamp,Add Message ID,Add Counter.
    ,</b>
    Cheers,

  • HTTPS sender adapter testing

    Hi All,
I need to test a HTTPS (HTTP adapter) -> IDOC scenario.
Can you please give some guidance on how this can be done? Can the SOAP UI tool be used for this? Where do I place the client certificates?

    Hi Lasya,
Yes, you can use SOAP UI tool to test the Https interfaces.
Plz go through the below links.

  • Connection Refused when sending adapter test message XI 2.0

I have received a "java.net.ConnectException: A remote host refused an attempted connect operation." when sending a "Test Client Sending out a Plain Single-Part MIME Message".  I have validated the host name and am not sure where to validate the Port and Url it is sending to. • SOAP Adapter Testing:

    Hi Experts
How can we test the SOAP Protocol?? are there any pre-requisties to test the SOAP Protocol??
    thanx in advance

    Hi,
In PI 7.1 it is possible to publish Outbound or Inbound interfaces to call Service Interfaces as a webservice in Service Registry
In addition, you can aslo test the scenario by using Service Registry (SR) for that you do not require any tool like SOAP UI,Altova XMLspy,Microsoft Infopath
    For more refer: http://www.riyaz.net/blog/pi-71-publishing-service-interface-as-a-webservice-in-sr/technology/sap/527/

  • ICI Adapter Test Tooling

    Hello,
As a supplier of contact/call centers I am working on an integration with SAP ICI Connector, based on 3.06. I am looking for a test tool that behaves like a ICI Server, sending messages to my connector, that will dispatch them to my callcenter and of course the other way around.
    Does such a tool exist?
    Kind regards,
    Frederik Moquette
    NEC Unified Solutions
    The Netherlands

    Hi Frederik,
Best solution to test your connector is to set-up a basic Interaction Center on a SAP CRM server, and to customize it so that it communicates with your connector. There is plenty of documentation on this forum about how to achieve this.
Additionally, SAP delivers a test tool to simulate Interaction Center activity; but you still need to have access to a SAP CRM server to start it. I have already played around with that tool in the past, but do not know much about it; maybe it can still help you.
You can find that test tool with SAP transaction SE80, BSP application: CRM_ICI_TST_CAT.
    - change test parameters according to your needs: very important: specify correct Contact Center ID; save parameters.
    - in "Test cases" frame, check flag "with trace"
    - select a test case, e.g. "7.1. Log on and log off user".
    - press "Start test run": traffic with your connector is displayed in lower frame part.
    Hope this can help you
    Kind regards
    Walter

  • Testing of the custom adapter

Can someone help me in testing the custom adapter. I want to test it in eclipse rather then adding the debug statements.

    Hi,
Change the SkeletonResourceTest program according to the needs of your custom adapter. The junit package actualy does not exist. There is a package junit in idm.jar, but it does not contain all the required class to complie the resource test class.
I compiled it using junit package after downloading it from junit site.
I am having problem in testing the customadapter.
I am getting the following error:I tested with the following command,
    C:\>java -D waveset.home=c:\Tomcat 4.1\webapps\idm com.waveset.adapter.test.Custom

  • Pplsft compIntf adapter: "XML Error: 1:1: Content is not allowed in prolog"

    Hi All,
I am using the peoplesoft component interface adapter in IDM 5.5 and IDM 6.0.
I configured the adapter, tested it successfully and enterred the details to create and provision a user to peoplesoft.
But whenever I click on the save button in the end of the creation wizard I get this error:
com.waveset.util.WavesetException: An error occurred adding user 'FX600859' to resource 'PeopleSoft Component Interface'. com.waveset.util.XmlParseException: XML Error: 1:1: Content is not allowed in prolog.I know the prolog is something about the first two lines and BOM and all - but this is like a really fresh install of IDM ( I tried and experienced the same error on both v 5.5 and 6.0) and have checked almost all the files which might be related to the user creation process.......... the error does not say which object has the defective prolog if at all..
I have also enabled trace for a lot of classes (incrementally of course since I failed to get any info from the earlier traces..) Here are the classes/ methods that I have set show trace on:
    com.waveset.adapter.ResourceAdapterBase#createAccounts

    com.waveset.util.XmlUtil
    com.waveset.util.XmlParser
    com.waveset.adapter.PeopleSoftCompIntfcAdapter
    com.waveset.object.GenericObject

Could you please post the solution for this error. When I provision a user to PeopleSoft, I am getting similar error: com.waveset.util.WavesetException: An error occurred adding user "userID' to resource 'PeopleSoft Component Interface'. com.waveset.util.XmlParseException: XML Error: 1:1: Content is not allowed in prolog.
    Thanks
