Add a row in table

Hi,
I have a node with one arrtribute and a child node. The parent node is bound to a table ui element.I want to add a new row to the table in a button click.
Before i have done with single node and it was working fine.But i have one child node inside the node.
That is the problem.

*Set child attributes

set_initial_elements = abap_false).

You will need to add some extra rows to the internal table that your table is displaying. Use a program node to append additional rows with a key but no argument.
Alternaively a template may me more suitable for your requirement than a table.

I have a af:table with a detailFacet. In this detailFacet there is an af:commandButton. On click of this commandButton I want a new row to be added to the table programmatically.
In my Backing Bean I have following code for my button:

Add new row in table between two rows - OATableBean

Hi,
I have a requirement where I need to add a new row between two rows. Lets say I have a table with 5 rows. I am envisioning having an icon (table switcher) on the row #1, which when clicked will insert/create a new row between rows #1 and #2 like #1.5, something that can be achieved in core forms. In core forms, when we click the add button, it immediately creates a new row before the current row ( and pushes other rows down). Is that possible with OATableBean. Please let me know if you have any ideas.

i am facing problem while generating Test Result word document after successful execution of TestStand.
The Problem is :
i want to add rows Formatted as table headings, table headings are repeated when a table spans more than one page(marked as Red).
Example:
Page No. 1
|     Test case Number | Test Step number      |
|      100                         |            100                   |
Page No. 2
|     Test case Number | Test Step number      |
|      200                         |            300                   |
Test Result word document should generate with Table headings(marked as Red) in every pages of the document, but i am not getting as per above example.

i want to generate MS-word report for TestStand after successful testing using MS-word2000.
Test report contains Actual values, Expected values and Pass/Fail status.
In my program i have customized all fields i can able to generate test report which contains Verification engineer name , test mode, test date, start time, end time Actual values, Expected values and Pass/Fail status.etc....
To put all values of test case number, Test step number, Actual values, Expected values and Pass/Fail status in to table for each time, i will
insert a row into table every time values arrives, once the table exceedes its page size it moves to the next page, next page should start with table row header but it start with values of above said parameters.
so i'm not able to repeat table row header for each page.
Please find the attached file for your reference.

If I add a row to my spreadsheet, how do I get the footer cell to show the last amount in the table automatically?

I am able to set up the Ending Balance to show the value of the cell right above it as long as I dont need anymore rows. If I add a row the value of the ending balance is stuck on the row or rows above the newly addd ones. All of my other formulas contiune on when a row is added, Is there a formula that can be added so that when a row is added the ending balance value moves to the last cell in the row?

Whatever works best for you. Jerry's formula assumed your table might not be totally full, that there might be empty rows at the bottom. Mine assumed there were no empty rows; it gave the value of the cell directly above it, as you asked. With Jerry's formula, be sure you enter your data in order by date or keep it sorted that way to ensure you get the correct "Ending Balance". If your last row does not have the most recent date, the formula will return the balance from a different row.
I don't see the advantage in Jerry's "Balance Forward" formula over the simpler one I provided.

You mean - you want to replace the 1st record in the internal table. or you want to sum the new values to the existed record.
If you want to replace - then you can use as
read table itab index 1.
if sy-subrc = 0.
    itab-f1 = 'new value'.
    modify itab index sy-tabix.
endif.

Create a new row in a table without using add new row button

I want to add a new row to the table without using the add new row button of the table. I'm not able to display default row in the table. Though if click on apply the record appears after saving in the database. Any thoughts how to implement this functionality.

Here is what you have to do.
1) You have to handle this in processRequest()
2) In the AM code , u need to check if there is already a row exisit or vo is blank
if (vo.getFetchedRowCount() == 0)

Add new row to a table

I'm using JDev 11.2 and I'm trying to add a new row to a table object (using create insert)
the catch is this-
and the new empty row that will appear- I want a value set instead of one of the values- so the user can choose which value to insert
do you know how can this be done?
(just to be clear- i know how to add a value set, I know how to add new row- dont know how to make the new row contain value set field)

If you use a model driven list of value on the attribute in question this should work automatically.
Have you setup a LOV on the attribute? Have you (on the attribute) checked that the ui-hint is set to selectOneChoice?

How to add a row in an emty table

Hi,
I would like to use only one nav bar in a Panel containing 2 JTables. So I bind the nav bar to the JUPanel.
The problem is if one or both of the tables are empty there is no way to add a row, since the JTable doesn't
get the focus and the nav bar stay's grayed out.
What is the best solution for this?
I don't want to have 2 nav bars each bound to the corresponding view.
May be there is a way to have an empty row if there are no rows in the table.

One way folks on OTN reported they've worked around this issue is to add an combo implementing iterator picker on the NavBar. Then when they end up in this situation, the users can select the right iterator and add rows to it by binding the navbar to that iterator (which is not focus-able due to no rows in it in a table display).
Another way I would suggest is to trap a mouse-click event on the table and if clicked upon, make the navbar focus on the iterator that the table was bound to.

I want to add new rows in advanced table. I can able to add rows using the AddMoreRows button in the footer of the advanced table.
This adds the row at the end. But I want to add the row at the top.

Just set the add Rows automatically property to False of Add Row Button
and then in processForm Request capture the addRows event
and invoke a method in AM and then create a new Row in VO.
Use this code...it will insert row at the top...

Add row based on previous row in table control?

Dear all,
I have a table control with some rows. Every row contains one button. On button click i want to add another row with dirrerent data. I want to add content based on button text or another columns (ex text views text,) based on this text view, I have to add row. One button can click any no of times. On every click i want to add row, but desired position and content should be based on button click. Any help in doing this??

in the eventhandler of the button click .
find out the row number by using the code to read index.
then based upon that add the element in the node at the desired position.

and the adding the element at the desired position say n
