Add an animated gif to a LiveCycle 8.2 form

Can you program an animated gif to be activated upon a given circumstance?
Thank you very much.

We can enable/disable an image on given circumstances however animated GIF files are not supported.
It treated animated gif as a normal image.

    I am trying to add an animated GIF to my out going email. For my signature. How can do this?

    Don't worry! Don't worry everyone I worked it out. Actually I just read the Mail support page segment on adding a signature. You just add a signature as usual but when you add the text, you can drag and adrop a pic/logo into that box. Ah, duh!

  • How to add an animated gif (or something similar)

    I'm running Keynote 3.02.
    I'm wondering how to do the following: I want to show a book cover, that rotates through about 7 book titles, automatically.
    What is the method for doing this? Do I have to create an animated gif of the book cover, or is there a way to do this on one slide with multiple images of the book, each with a different title ?

    If the object has been assigned a build, you can select it, and change the build, by going into the Build Inspector, clicking the More Options button, then clicking on the object in the Build Order list. If it doesn't already have a build assigned, then you do have to use forward/backward.
    If the goal is to produce a complex-appearing slide, keep in mind that you can spread your builds across multiple slides, by using the "Appear" slide transition. In this fashion, you can put some builds on one slide, invisibly transition to a new but identical slide, and then do further builds. This is a useful way to simplify construction so that it is easier to do. If you are using a single slide because you need music to play across the builds, you can use a workaround to assign a soundtrack to only a subset of slides.

    How can i insert animated gif or flash files (.swf) or another type of animated files in Form?

    If you are web deployed you can put an animated gif as the image to an iconic button.
    Image items cannot display animated gifs.

  • Add animated gif to JFrame toolbar in place of default coffee cup

    Hi,
    I am sorry if someone has already asked this question. I have searched the forums but only found aswers relating to adding static images to replace the default coffee cup. Is it possible to replace this image with an animated gif? When I add an animated gif with the following code:
    URL imageUrl = myProgram.class.getResource("image.gif");
    ImageIcon icon = new ImageIcon(imageUrl);
    JFrame frame = new myProgramFrame();
    frame.setIconImage(icon.getImage());
    I am loading the image from an executable jar.
    The program fails to load (but produces no errors).
    Thank you for any help you can offer.

    Hmmm ... intrestin, I've just modified a *.gif file of my own to make the icon animated and 'java MyProgram' just hangs at the command line -so, I guess you're stuffed with it. I can't think of a workaround either, sorry

  • How can I add animated gifs to a slideshow?

    I want to  put some animations into my slideshows.
    I want to add in animated gifs. I can do this with Videowave (Roxio). Can I do the same thing with elements 8?

    Double click on the photo in the thumbnail tray at the top to get into the edit mode.  There Control (right) - click on the image and select Duplicate from the contextual menu.
    Go back to the slideshow mode and there will be two copies of the photo in the tray which you can place wherever you want.

  • Animated GIF in WPf

    Hello, how do i add an animated GIF into a frame in a WPF application
    and only show it when i press a button

    You need to add refrence of WindowsFormsIntegration and System.Windows.Forms DLLs to your project. The following code will load gif file:
    <wfi:WindowsFormsHost
    xmlns:wfi="clr-namespace:System.Windows.Forms.Integration;assembly=WindowsFormsIntegration"
    xmlns:winForms="clr-namespace:System.Windows.Forms;assembly=System.Windows.Forms">
    <winForms:PictureBox x:Name="pictureBox" ImageLocation="C:\Images\progressbar.gif">
    </winForms:PictureBox>
    </wfi:WindowsFormsHost>
    If you need button click, then on button click handler you need to load the image to PictureBox.
    <StackPanel>
    <Button Name="btnLoad" Click="btnLoad_Click">Load</Button>
    <wfi:WindowsFormsHost>
    <winForms:PictureBox x:Name="pictureBox">
    </winForms:PictureBox>
    </wfi:WindowsFormsHost>
    </StackPanel>
    private void btnLoad_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e)
    pictureBox.ImageLocation = @"C:\Images\progressbar.gif";

  • How can I edit an animated GIF?

    is there a way to add a animated GIF into your work, when I try to add one I am told that it will be a single layer. I downloaded a GIF from the web and trying to incorparate it into a web site header.

    Well, you are in luck, sort of. You have all the apps needed to create an animated gif. However that does not mean that the image you download was already or not. It could be a single image.
    A couple of things to go over
    1) When downloading from the net make sure you have permission to use that image before sharing with the public, as the image is protected by copyright laws in the US. (Images that state - Permission to use commercially, copyright free, common law licence - Generally are meant to share with the general public, granted that you post somewhere who you got the image from(the Least anyone can do it give credit where credit is due)
    2)Since you have the Master Collection or the CS4 Master Suite, you have every app that is need to create your own works of art. Photoshop, After Effects, Premeire pro are all capable of creating animated gifs. With the latter two being easier than photoshop.
    Since you have CS4 photoshop and this is the photoshop forum, we will keep it there.
    The version of Photoshop that comes in the master suite is the extended version of photoshop which is require for most of the animations it can do. Though, think and am not certain that the standard version can create animated gif files.
    OK, ok we got a lot of mumbo jumbo above so lets get into how to create an animated gif.
    First we need to determine if we are editing an animated gif or creating one from scratch. To load an animated gif all you need to do is file>open then select the file. Simple enough.
    The file will place each frame onto its own layer and if you have the animation panel open (If not select Windows>Animation ) Each frame will be placed there as well.
    Lets say we are going to edit a frame or better yet introduce a new frame. In the upper right hand corner of the animation panel is a small icon. Clicking it will pop up a menu. In that menu select delete animation. Don't worry your layers are safe, it only removes the frames from the animation panel.
    Now you can either change something in one of the layers or add a layer where you want the frame intoduced.
    When you are done you can select that same icon in the animation panel to pop up the menu and select Make frames from layers This will place all the layers back into the animation panel. This has to happen in order to save an animated gif.
    You can now use the File>save to web or File>Save to web and devices (This optiuon changed during one of the version, I don't recall so both are listed or look for something close to that)
    Select Gif for the format then the save button, where you can choose a location and file name. It will automatically add a hyphen between any words that normally are spaces for the web.
    OK, If you read the above, you probably alread realize how to create one from scratch. Just add a new layer for each frame and follow the steps above to add it to the animation panel and save for web.
    I know it sounds like a lot, but once you have done it a few times, it actually fairly simple.
    OK, Bonus round - What about After Effects and Premeire Pro?
    Well both of those apps Use a timeline instead of frames. Which makes them much simpler and more powerful for animations, since that is what they are dedicated to do.
    It is as simple as open the gif file, edit it, save it, done.
    I won't go into how the timeline works as that would require a long , long post. But once you understand it, it is much quicker and can do way more feature wise.
    One last thing, play around with it and see what it can do before commiting time to creating or editing a gif. It goes much easier once you get the hang of it.
    If you have any questions, issues, etc. just post away...
    Well, I got to go, I hope this helps.

  • Animated gif in IWeb?

    I am trying to add an animated GIF to my site. I downloaded a program called "pixen", and it seems easy enough to use. However, it doesn't seem to work.
    Anyone have any suggestions? I'm just looking to be able to add some scrolling text.
    Thanks!
    Kim

    The program "pixen", gives you the option to export as a QT movie, or export to "image sequence". When I export to "image sequence", it just saves the three different frames as .gif files. When I export to a QT movie, and then add that to my site, publish to a folder - it plays as a QT movie.
    This may be a problem with the particular program, and not IWeb..
    Just wondering if there is a program that you would recommend?
    Thanks, as always, for your help!

  • Animated GIF in interactive PDF

    Hi all,
    I was wondering if someone could help me with the following;
    I want to add some animated GIF images to my interactive PDF document in InDesign (also with hyperlinks and video's)
    How do I need to save the document, in order to see an animation (instead of just the first layer, without any animation..)
    Thank you in advance!

    Acrobat and Reader 9 and 10 support flash.
    You can create your animation with InDesign CS5 animation panel, after you are ready, simply select your animated object, export selection as SWF (Flash Player) and finally use File>Place command to replace your original animated object with that exported SWF. Now you can export your interactive PDF with animation.

  • How do you make an animated gif activate when a corresponding button is selected?

    I am working on a DVD menu using Photoshop and Encore. I currently have a map as a background and a gif animation of a radar ping. The radar ping has transparent parts so that it shows up in front of the map it will be placed on. I want the radar ping gif to animate when it is selected, but I cannot make it animate. When I tried to place the animated gif into the DVD, it became a static image with 50 layers, instead of an animation with 50 frames. When I replaced the gif with a static image, it still caused problems because when I made it into one of the button's highlights, the button overlapped the other buttons, causing those to highlight as well.
    Summary: Ideally, I want to add various gifs that will activate when the corresponding menu/chapter buttons are selected.
    Failing that, I would be happy just to know how to add an animated gif to my DVD menu background.

    You have two problems. The first is that an animated gif has no special status in DVD authoring. It is an anmiation. How do you get animations into a DVD project? You import them as movies - either as assets that get puit on timelines, or assets that become part of a motion background.
    Yes, Encore has a special feature of making animated thumbnails, but this is  just a fancy way of putting thumbnail-sized bits of video into a video background of a menu.
    I think you resolve the animated gif issue if you convert it to a video format Encore understands.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/encore/using/importing-assets.html#supported_file_formats_for_impor t
    The second issue is that you want a button highlight to be an animation. Also not part of the DVD spec or what Encore will do. You can fake this, by having a button autoactivate and to go to a different menu that has the animation for that button as part of the background.  You create as many menus as you have buttons with that characteristic.
    Note that a mouseover won't autoactivate, so this doesn't work on a  computer the way solme users would like.
    Scripting is a way some authoring applications can handle such things, but Encore does not provide scripting.

  • Importing animated gif into layout

    I have a regular FW layout that I exported as an HTML to open
    up in Dreamweaver, and use as a homepage. Everything works fine.
    But now I would like to add an animated GIF that I created in FW,
    to the page, but I'm not really sure if it is possible. I opened up
    the PNG file for the homepage in FW then imported my animated gif,
    but it doesn't run when previewed. This is our page the FW layout
    is in the center with my dreamweaver template applied to the top
    and sides.
    http://www.shreveaudio.com
    ...FYI the animated GIF isn't on the page if you visit the link.
    Any help is much appreciated.

    Add the animation in Dreamweaver instead of in Fireworks.

  • Why animated gifs disappear in slideshow widget?

    I opened my project with new version of Muse 2014 but animated gifs on the slideshow widget disappear.  They are already visible in previous version of Muse. I made a new slideshow and add some animated gif but there is a blank page when i preview the page. Is there a bug or am i doing something wrong?

    The exclamation mark is an indication that the file path/link between the thumbnail and the full size master has been broken. Do the following:
    1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down to open the First Aid window. Be sure to follow the circled recommendation in the screenshot.
    2 - run Option #4, Rebuild Database.
