I am creating a record using createinsert operation. i have a selectOneChoice list based on a query based VO. if the value i am looking is not present, i should be able to add value in a popup to populate into lov by clicking add button beside the lov and then select the value.
please give suggestion to achieve solution for this.

when popup opens i clicked createinsert operation to fill some fileds. when i click on rollback in the popup , entire transaction is getting rollbacked instead of the popup transaction. when i click commit in the popup to save the filled in values , lov is not getting refreshed, i added AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance().addPartialTarget(bndLov) top refresh the lov.

SAP NetWeaver > General Settings > Check Units of Measurement.
The help documentation says the following in relation to the creation of new units of measure:
"If required, define new units of measurement according to the international system of units (SI) with the menu function Unit of meaurement -> Create.
Here you have to make make specifications for:
Display (including a descriptive Units of measurement text)
Conversion (not applicable to units of measurement without dimensions)
Data exchange (EDI) (optional)
Application parameters"

Add field in dynamic selections to ME2A, to create aselection view in LDB

Hi all,
I would like to include in the search selection of ME2A the field 'Relevant for agency business', but this field doesn´t appear at the purchasing document . I´ve been reading that by the Logical database builder it is possible to do this, but I don´t manage how.
I've been trying (with transaction SE36) to copy from Source view - SAP to Target view - CUS for some logical database (for example LDB - ELM) and I havn't been success. I received Error "The selection view does not exist"
Which LDB should I choose? How to create a selection view STANDARD SAP ?

kindly note that as per SAP note 310886 Only certain tables or fields are permitted
Permitted tables:
SKA1: all fields
SKB1: all fields
BSIS: all fields
no other table is allowed
so your field BKPF-CPUDT is not allowed in dynamic selection

Problem while creating row with dependent select one choice in adf table

Iam having independent and dependent select one choice in a ROW in adf af:table
unable to insert more than one row with dependent select one choice using create insert in adf table.
Able to add more rows in UI af:table but ,ignoring previous rows (select one choice values) and only latest current row values is getting inserted to the database.

How to extend and add calculated item in EO Based VO?

I have a requirment where I have to add few fields on the page.
These fields are based on one Custom table and few calculated columns.
The existing VO of the page is based on EO which is based on PL/SQL.
approach I am thinking to follow for custom table is -
a) Create a EO based on Custom table
b) extend the VO of the page to add New EO and its column.
c) write code in New EO Impl to insert the row.
But the thing which I am not able to figure out is how to add calculated item in VO.
I have created a PL/SQL package to return calulated item, but not able to figure out where to call this package.
Could any one please list out the approach to follow for this.

If the calculated attribute is not going to be used for any business logic and just for display purposes you can create a transient attribute in the VO directly else create the transient attribute on the EO.

Select One Choice shows 25 items I need about 100.

Hi, I'm new to Jdeveloper 11g and ADF.
I'm building an application that requires "select one choice", "Select Many Shuttle" and some others, but they only show 25 items. If I add a "Next Set" button I can retreive the next set of 25 items, but I don't like it this way. I would like that the controls display all the items at once (about 70 items).

Hi Mike,
You can implement the suggestions given by Timo and Puthanampatti for fetching all the rows and display in list. However, having more items in the list would make the selection of an item from the list difficult for the users. Instead, you might want to implement List Of Values instead of a Select one choice. List Of Values has a search capability inbuilt which would help the users to narrow down the selection, instead of scrolling through all the records in select one choice.
To implement that, instead of setting the list type to select one choice (in your model - for the attribute for which you've defined list of values), change it to input text with list of values.

I have a page with connected web parts.
Example:
List one: Companies
a address List with companies
List two: Employees
A list with employees and a relation to companies (Company name).
On the view item on companies i have list Employees connected. When i add an item i would like to have the Company name selected in the drop down.
I have seen examples on using JavaScript but this doesn´t work in SharePoint 2013. Anyone with a solution for this, Jslink perhaps?

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to add item with selected data in connected webpart.
I recommend to use lookup column in the Employees to add a relation to companies.
You can check “Yes” under “Require that this column contains information”. Then you need to select an company when you add a item.
The result is as below:
If you want to set the defult value for the lookup column, you can use InfoPath and no code.

In addition, a simple add-on(SharePoint Default Value Add-On) which inject a "default value" section into "Create Column" dialog， seems to be a solution.

How to refresh the list of select one choice which is inside a table?

Hello I am using Jdeveloper Version 11.1.2.1.0.
The table is a normal table that is made to look like a treeTable.
For some rows are or can be parents with Parent_vo_group_id = null and other are children with parent_vo_group_id = vo_group_id of the parent...
If a children changes its parent_vo_group_id to null it can become a parent as well.
I am having a select one choice inside a table column. The list comes from the same table with column Name:

Populating static values in addition to database value in select one choice

Hi All,
We are using jdev 11.1.1.2.0.
I am populationg a select one choice based on a read only VO. The vo is populating fine,but in addition to the values from the database I want to add two static values. I want to add 'select customer' and 'all customer'.
Currently I am doing this using UNION in the sql query of my VO. WhenI add union in my sql query its taking more time to load the value from the database.
Is this the proper adf way to do it? Is there someother way to attain it.
Following is the query I am using to populate one of the VO's

Set focus on item that selected in multiple-selection list box field in infopath

I have multiple-selection list box field in infopath that have for example 40 items. (I customize sharepoint list with infopath),then
publish infopath form in to sharepoint list. users want to add new item,when they selected or checked each item in multiple selection list box, after that automatically control focus on first item, but I want to focus remain on that item
I was selected. Why this happen?! I also set postback settings to “never” in multiple-selection list box properties. But didn’t work.

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to find several columns based on user selection of checkboxes in one of the Multiple-selection List Box.
I recommend to customize the form to concatenate values from choice field (with multiple values) into single line text box, and then hide the fields based on the text box value.
We can follow the steps as following:
Add a text box control(filed 3) on the form to hold the value selection in the multiple selection list box.
Set the default value for the text box control as
substring-after(eval(eval(Value, 'concat(., ";")'), ".."), ";")
(you need to change the ‘Value’ in the formula to your multiple selection list box name: filed1).
Add the conditional formatting on the flied: flied 3 does not contain value (you need to change the ‘Value’ in the formula to your multiple selection list box value.).
In addition, you can add Formatting action to hide the text box control.

Add an item to all state machine constants

I have a state machine using an enum for the state indicator. In
the current state, the next state is indicated by an enum
constant. If I want to add a state, how can I update all of the
constants? Here is the problem. If I add (or delete) an
item in the selector of the case structure, it is red because the enum
constants do not have that value in them. Conversely, if I add an
item to one of the constants I can "Add case for every value" and add
it to the seletor, but then I have to manually add that item to each of
the other constants. Also, the way I usually create the constants
is to pop-up on the exit tunnel for the enum in the case structure and
"Create constant". Unfortunately, that tunnel retains the choices
of the old enum and the new choice must be manually added. Is
there any way around this? I would like a method that allows me
to add or delete choices at will and have all of the constants
automatically update to match.

Well LabVIEW has just what you need in the "type def"! The next time you create a enum, right click on it, select create a control go to the front panel, right click on the control and select "Advanced" and then "Customize" to enter the control editor (if you have selected in your front panel "tools", "options", "front panel", "open the control editor with a double click", you can ust double click on the control to enter the control editor). In the control editor you will see a toolbar pull down with the "Control" option. If you pull it down and change to "Type Def" you can modify the control and all copies of it will now get automatically updated, including constants created from the type definition. The strict type def controls the look of the control as well, so it is most often used to make sure that operator interface instances of a control look the same. When you save this new type def it should ask you whether to update all instances, which will update the original control , you will have to go back and make a constant from the new control type to replace that original one, but now every copy made from that one will update when you update the type definition, and you can do that from the constant on the diagram by right clicking and selecting "open type def".

hi,
i am developing an app for windows phone and using listview to list items. i am using custom template for the listview item. this custom template contains labels, image and button.
i trying to update the other listview items while one item is selected or multiple item selected. to change listview item i am iterating over the listview and try to get custom template using visual tree helper class. using helper class i am able to retrieve
control from custom template. once i changing the image in listview if i scroll the listview vertically image changed to its default state.
is it possible to change the custom template values using visual tree helper class or do i need to do some other changes in my code.

You already have implemented binding in your code, just like you have bindings for TextBlock's 'Text' property, likewise you can defined a property for the 'Visibility' of image in the code behind
e.g.
private Visibility imgvisible
public Visibility_ImgVisibility
get { return imgvisible; }
set
if (imgvisible!= value)
NotifyPropertyChanging("_ImgVisibility");
imgvisible= value;
NotifyPropertyChanged("_ImgVisibility");
Then in xaml file, bind this property with the Visibility property of Image and access it as per your requirement (e.g. on tap of an item)
