Add "cost center" query to a start condition?
Hi there,
we got a new requirement for one of our plants.
We're on SRM 5.0 classic scenario.
Is it possible to add a "cost center" query to a specific start condition (SWB_PROCUREMENT) of a workflow?
E.g. if a user uses cost center 4711 for a shopping cart item a specific cost center responsible xyz should approve this item.
If the user uses another cost center 4712 for a second item in this shopping cart this item should be approved by another cost center responsible abc.
Is that somehow possible ?
So far I did not find a suitable expression for cost center.

thanks for your answer. Perhaps you also have a hint for the following:
I can't really find in the metioned thread or in note 731637 what happens if a SC with several items is partially approved.
Example:
SC with 3 items:
item 1 cc 1000
item 2 cc 2000
item 3 cc 1000
Let's say item 1+3 have been approved by the approver found by badi and WS14500015. Is a PO or a purchase requisition created in backend? Or is it only created after the whole SC has been approved (i.e. also item 2).

Ke85 Add Cost Center Characteristic Value
Hi Report Painter Expert,
I m facing problem in KE80 report , every cost center assign with profit Center, but Sustaining cost i.e HR Cost center, Finance Cost Center, IT Cost Center and Marketing Cost Center should be display in front of Sustaining cost , we cannot assign Profit Center . so kindly tell me where we have add the Cost Center Characteristic available in KE85. lot of Component is there like Profit center, Account Number , but we want add Cost Center in Ke85, there is no Cost center available in KE85.
Note : Till now we have not activated NEW GL and Document splitting. FYI.
we are working on Classical GL.
Yr Quick action will be highly appreciated.

In ke85 you can't get CC as far as I know. In new gl, you get both of them in same tables
In classical PCs its not possible unless you define your own totals table with both cc and PC and then build report based on that. That's a huge effort

Cost center query tkakes a long time while executing with User's Id
Hi Experts,
We have a cost-center query which is taking a long time to display the output with User's id.
I tried running the report with the same selections and was able to get the values within seconds.
Also we have maintained aggregates on the cube.
When user tries it for a single cost-center the performance is Ok.
Any help on this wil be highly appreciated.

while running the query find the trace in ST05 - before running the query in RSRT activate the trace with user id and after seeing the report in RSRT deactivate the trace.
go through the logs find the which object taking long time then create the aggregates on the cube.
while creating agggates give the fixed value.

note down the screen number , and in there you can check if the fld is hidden or not.

Add Cost center description in FB01
Hi All,
I want to add new field in txn FB01 for item level.
There is field Cost center in the Item level, i want to display description of the cost center.
On second screen(300/310), we enter the cost center and after that if we hit save ,a new screen appears 700 with the line items details.
I want here to display cost center's Description.

But the system is not allowing me add an existing group. How can I do it?

Sorry it is M000600 i wrongly mentioned M000300 as my earlier reply.
No M000400 is not in the Standard Hierarchy, but it is a cost center group which got M000600 under M000400.
And M000300 is a part of standard hierarchy and we want M000400 to be under M0000600.

How to add cost center programatically?
I have a program that must create one or more entries in infotype 15 but I also have to assign the cost center. I've played around with doing it manually in PA30 and you have to save the 15 record first and then go to a different screen (via the menu) to set the cost center.
What's the best way to accomplish this programatically?

Hierarchy query with dynamic start condition
Hi,
I have a table that stores hierarchical items (foohierarchy) and another one storing users and such items (useritems). Unfortunately the latter one is not consistent and misses some entries. I would like to fix that using pure sql. Fixing here means that a user that possesses a certain child element should also have parents of that child. There are a couple of obstacles here though. First the hierarchy table does not explicitly state which elements are top level elements. I am trying to fix that by emulating a proper structure and named that fixedhierarchy. A select statement that returns all intended user/item relationships would be nice.
Here some visualization and sample data, the sample data follows the pattern that each item uses its level as its suffix, but this shouldn't be exploited in the statement:

Thanks for posting the CREATE TABLE and INSERT statments; that's very helpful! Don't forget to mention what version of Oracle you're using. That's especially important with hierachies; every version since Oracle 7 has had significant improvements in how to handle them.
I'm a little comfused as to what you want. Are you trying to permanently change the tables? If so, show what the changed table(s) should look like when the job is finished. Post the output you would want to see from "SELECT * FROM useritems;" or "SELECT * FROM foohierarchy;", or, if you want to change both tables, from both.
It looks like you have two separate problems:
(1) Changing foohierarchy, so that every item appears once as a child_id. That means adding rows with NULL parent_item for all the roots ('A1', 'E1' and 'G1'). The query you posted seems directed toward this.
(2) Denormalizing useritems, so that when a username is linked to an item, the username is linked to all that item's ancestors, too. The results you posted seem to be what you want useritems to look like after this is done.
Here's how to do those things:
<h4>(1) Changing foohierarchy</h4>
The query you posted looks good. Do you see anything wrong with it? You can use that query (or something very close to it) in an INSERT or MERGE statement.
If you just want to add some new rows to foohierarchy, then you don't need the UNION: just the second branch of it. If you're cvertain that none of those rows already exist in foohierarchy, then

Sub-query all_ancestors is a bottom-up CONNECT BY query, linking each node in useritems with all of its ancestors. CONNECT BY queries are often slow under the best circumstances; doing a join in a CONNECT BY query makes it even slower. It's more efficient to do the CONNECT BY query first, in a sub-query, and then join tht result set to other tables, as I did in src. -
EDiscovery Center Query Not Accepting 'Start' Date
I have set up a new ediscovery site collection and am attempting to perform a query for content.I created a new case which has added a new subsite and then I attempted to use the search and export query. After clicking new item I am taken to the query:new
item page.
Adding a date using the date picker for start date does not work. Clicking 'advanced query options' shows that no date filter is added.
Clicking end date works correctly.
Adding a free text date query or range works correctly.

EXAMPLE- in T-CODE- MMBE WE CAN CHECK project stock i.e- under which WBS THE STOCK BELONGS. we want in same manner under which cost center the stock belong.

In MB51 you can add fields for selection. You can add "Cost Center" as one of the selection parameter from SPRO.
IMG-MM-Inventory management and Physicl inventory -Reporting-Define field selection for Material document list
when you select this it wil display the fileds you can add for selection screen. If you page down this you can find "Cost center" MSEG-KOSTL , bydefault not Tick marked for Selection screen.
If the entry is not in the list you can add by clikcing the "New entries" Tab
Program --> RM07DOCS
Table --> MSEG
Field name --> KOSTL.

I would like to insert new cost center for the existing layout in BCS

I would like to add cost center to existing layout.
Currently we are loading data into BCS using flat file .
In BCS we have current layout existed with below format.

Even we are getting flat file from R/3 as above format.
Now our Business required cost center in BCS as their requirment and need to be bring from R/3 to BCS.
In R/3 our ABAP people are working to bring the cost center from R/3 and made a flat file for us.
In BCS we need to load the file which has new cost center,which was comming as per the new requirment.
Please advise me how to add cost center in Data Rows of BCS.So that it can accomidate new cost center which is comming from R/3.
