Add CRLF after a string reaches a certain length (in inches)

I have this function to calculate the length of the string in inches.
I would like to know how can I add a line break or CRLF right after X length and not to break any words in the string.?

SQL knows nothing about what font you're using. I don't know of anything built into Oracle SQL where you can specify font information.
There may be something specific to your front end, such as Apex. If that's what you're using, then mark this thread as "Answered", and then open a new thread in the Oracle Application Express (APEX).
This wouldn't be a hard thing to do in PL/SQL if you knew the width of each character. If you had a flat file or a spereadsheet that listed each character and its width, you could load that into a table, and write a function (perhaps a pipelined function) that, given a string, a scale and a field width, split the split into the longest possible pieces no longer than the field width.

I'm having problems with UTL_MAIL... I need to send a RTF document attached to an email. But UTL_MAIL seems to add CrLf first in the attachement!
If I try to send a realy simple file, just contailing 'Test' then the attachment will be chr(13)||chr(10)||Test. !!
What ever is wrong, is wrong in this code snip...

I don't know if this is the cause but why would anyone be on 10.2.0.1 this many years after so many patches have been released?
Also consider attaching your file as raw rather than text. Does that solve the problem?

How to go back to frame 1 when the timeline reaches a certain frame?

I have a timeline that has some label frames at the very end of the timeline. During the timeline a user will hit a button on a frame and will jump to one of the label frames. On the label frame is another button that when clicked - returns the user to the previous frame. How do I make the movie return to frame 1 - without a button - but before it reaches the label frames? In other words, by simply reaching a certain frame in the movie, I want the timeline to go back to frame 1.

I'm trying to make an interactive house simulation game (basic) and hit this issue where the timeline needs to skip to the next segment as several options are available per room (listed one after the other in the timeline). Flash isn't particularly easy to use when it comes to this kind of thing. Is Flash Catalyst CS5 more suited to this?

You can put a tab inside a table cell using Option+Tab
Then just set the right-aligned tab stop and the right edge of the table cell and add the leader.

Is it possible to pin my navigation to the top of the browser until I reach a certain point on the page and then let it continue to scroll normally?

Je ne vois pas l'utilité du mouvement horizontale (gauche-droite, droite-gauche) et pire encore, par mégarde je fais trop souvent bouger ainsi mon texte et cela m'embête, même me dérange beaucoup. Même que cela me donne même mal au coeur hahahahahaha!
Par contre, ma souris précédente avait le mouvement de défilement du haut en bas et bas en haut et cela par contre m'est très utile. Je voudrais donc savoir s'il existe un moyen de stopper le mouvement de côté mais conserver tout de même la fonction du mouvement haut-bas et bas-haut avec le simple toucher de la souris. Suis-je plus clair? Disons que c'est plus aisé pour moi en français. merci à toi

I cant cant use mail merge feature in Winword in conjunction with Abobe Acrobat 10 (pdfmaker add-in) after the recent Office April Windows and Office Updates.

As the event log indicated, this is due to acrobat pdfmaker office com addin doesn't work well with Microsoft Word.
I would suggest you go ahead and try to upgrade your Adobe product to the latest version and see if issue persists.
Or contact the support of Adobe and see if there is a known compatibility issue or not.

Text border wont reduce after a certain length

Right now I'm working on a border that will expand as the text width gets larger. and to have the border have a maxium size yet still be able to enter text.
What i'm having trouble with: Once I reach a certain width, backspace dosent reduce the border anymore.

unless that border code is in some function or otherwise repeatedly executes, it doens't look like anything would dynamically change the autosizing of inputTxt.

On Firefox for Android many addons add to the application menu. This can be access by pressing your phone's hardware menu button. If your phone does not have a menu button then Firefox displays a 3 dot button to the right of the address bar.
If you still can't find the extension settings then please mention which extension you are trying to use.

What is your problem here? In that frame, on an actions layer, use either the loadMovie method or the MovieClipLoader.loadClip method to load the swf into the movieclip. There should be examples of using either in the help documents and via Google.

Add menu after the plug-in has started

Hello,
I want to added a menu under 'File' menu after the plug-in has started.
Through the shell example in SDK, i am able to add menus on plug-in startup but cant figure out how to add menus after the plug-in has started.
Is it possible to do so? If yes, then how to do it?

The suites should be the same, namely AIMenu.h's AIMenuSuite. The calls are fairly self-explanatory I think, though if you have questions fire away & hopefully I can help.
The only thing that might be tricky is that it wants a reference to your plugin. Typically you'd do that in response to a selector/caller combination that included a message -- the message always has such a reference. If that's the only thing you're missing, the simple answer is to grab that from one of the early messages and stow it in a static variable somewhere so you can use it later; it won't change, so that's perfectly acceptable.

I would like to add an array of strings into an ArrayList, which i have implemented by using the following code:-
String[] strReturnWords = getInput2(line);
List.add(strReturnWords);strReturnWords returns an array of Strings.
How do i retrieve the array of strings from the ArrayList. I have tried
String[i] strString = List.toString();Am i doing this correctly, are their any other ways??

That should work.NO. That wont work AT ALL.
This:
String[] arrayOfString = new String[listName.size()];Is not right. The number of elements in the list is MUCH different
then the size of the array which is an element in the list.
This:
arrayOfStrings[ i] = (String)listName.get(i);Will fail. The list contains an Object of StringArray not an Object of String.
