Add horizontal spaces between regions

Hi everyone,
We use APEX 4.2.
I want to know if it's possible to add horizontal spaces between "region a" and "region b" ?
How I can do this ? I don't want to add an extra "region c".
I taught about adding something in the header region or in the footer region.

Hi,
You could add some css to the first (left?) regio.
.rounded-corner-region {margin-right: 50px;}*.rounded-corner-region* depending on the selected regio.

Acro 9.2 Prof. adds randomly spaces between characters when document is safed

We encountered the problem, that the prof. 9.2 version adds randomly spaces between words and characters in a way that the text layout is unfeasible.
The document was absolutely correct generated from Word to PDF, but after the first save in Acrobat it is corrupted.
The real bad fact is, that is problem occurs not on all workstations. Some are working without this bad problem. OS is Win XP SP3.
Has anyone an idea how to solve this?? In the meantime we switched back to Acro 8 on the bad workstations.

Firstly, there's no such thing as Apache 9.3, there's Apache 1 (and subversions) and Apache 2 (and subversions). Your error message -
Oracle-HTTP-Server/1.3.28Shows you're using Apache 1.3.28
Secondly, I'm confused by your comment -
I do not have Apache 9.3 or higher but I think oracle should offer this in its companion CDOracle does offer the Apache server, if you're saying you didn't get it from Oracle then where did your Apache server come from?
Thirdly, I notice from your config file -
ErrorLog "|E:\oracle\product\10.1.0\Companion\Apache\Apache\bin\rotatelogs logs/error_log 43200"That you're piping the logs through rotatelogs, are you sure the logfiles haven't just been renamed?

Setting space between regions

Hi there, i am having trouble controlling the spacing between regions and wondered if anyone had come across this problem. Across the width of the screen i have 5 regions the widths are as follows:
%, 350, 190, 220, %
The regions set as % at the edges of the screen are used to pad out the rest of the screen and centre the content in the middle of the screen. The region of 190 is set to contain a portlet whereas the others are all set to hold items. The problems seem to be in the spacing between the content regions. The three content holding regions are supposed to add to 760 pixels in total, but there always seems to be big gaps between them especially the region of 350 pixels which holds an image and the 190 pixel region which holds an HTML portlet.
Is there any way to control the spacing between regions (ideally set it to 0). I have already checked all the region properties and both the space between items and around items is set to 0.
Any ideas as i am really struggling.

Hi Paul
I think your problem comes from your mix of % and pixel wide regions. HTML does not like tables with rows defined like this, either use only %, or either fixes sizes.
There are possible workarounds :
- to center your "main" regions, try to set 99% width in the 2 edge regions
- try 49% - 1% - 1% - 1% - 49%, and put invisbile images of the wanted width in the main regions (transparents gifs, 350px width, 1 high). Images won't be shrunk.

Menu widget (horizontal) space between buttons

How do I get spaces between navigation buttons on the horizontal menu widget?
In the basic Katie video, she does this as a "pre-set". Then in the advanced video it shows up in the images with no discussion. Thanks for helping.

You can either choose to use manual menus for this and place the menu as per your requirement, or you can use the "uniform spacing" option in the item size section of menu options for some spacing between the menu items.

Space between regions , release 2

Using Portal release 2:
We cannot create a page using two regions that have their width spesified in pixels. Portal generates one table for each region, but with extra space between them.
This did not occur in portal 3.0.9.
Help appreciated.

Anders and I have been struggling with that for a while, so we found the way around it: maybe nto most ideal way, but it works.
Create an user interface template, that has the table in it, that defines the width. Than your regions will be put in that table, and they will stay like that.

How do I add vertical space between items in a WebHelp TOC in RoboHelp 10?

I recently upgraded from RoboHelp 8 to RoboHelp 10. When generating my WebHelp output in RoboHelp 8, I added space between the items in the table of contents by editing the following line in the whthost.js file.
var gsMargin="6pt";
After upgrading, I edited the same line in the whthost.js file for RoboHelp 10. Unfortunately when I generate my WebHelp output in RoboHelp 10, no space is added between the items in the table of contents.
Does anyone have any idea why editing this setting in the whthost.js file no longer produces the desired results? Does anyone have any suggestions?

One way is to do something like this:
1) create your styles like this:
span {
font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;
letter-spacing: 3px;
2) create your HTML like this:
<p> <span>Xc = 10^6/2* pi *50 * C Xc = 10^4/pi C </span></p>
Now is this what you are looking for? If not please post back so that something else can be suggested like Math HTML such as this one:
<MATH>∫_a_^b^{f(x)<over>1+x} dx</MATH>
FF and latest IE9/10 supports MAtH HTML as far as I know.

Ff 4b12 no longer prints properly - adds multiple spaces between characters

b11 worked great. printing from gmail to either my HP 1022N or to primo pdf now adds the extra spaces. IE works fine as does FF3.6.13. How do I go back to 4.b11 until this is resolved?

This is a known problem and mozilla fixed it with the latest nightly builds and the upcoming RC.

Something you can try is making the right column a % so that it "fills" the rest of the page size out to the right.

How do I add space between lines of text in the same cell on Numbers 3.0.1

I just updated to Mavericks 10.9. In numbers, I used to be able to uncheck a box in the inspector that would make it so the Return key did not move to the next cell, but instead allowed me to add more space between lines of text in the same cell.
How can I do this in the new version of numbers?

Numbers 3 is a complete rewrite of the application. This preference option hasn't (yet) been included, but N3 is very much a 'work in progress. A word to Apple via Provide Numbers Feedback asking to have this option included in Numbers 3 might be a useful step. You'll find Provide Numbers Feedback in the Numbers menu in Numbers.

How do you add space between the Series Name and the chart?

I'm trying to format a 3D pie chart and the series name is nearly unreadable depending on the angle. I would like to add some space between the series name and the chart.

On my charts, I just select the legends and drag them away from the chart. Hopefully this example helps:

Outlook adds a space to radio contacts

Hi, I´m using Outlook 2010, I'm adding a Nextel radio number in the Radio telephone field, I write the id in the format 52*5555*1, this is the format for the nextel radio ID, the two first numbers are for the country, the numbers in the middle are
for the client or group and the last numbers are for the radio itself; the problem is when I write directly the complete number Outlook adds a space between the first two numbers an the first star, openening the deatils of the contact is possible to see that
the first to numbers are added to the local number an the rest of the data is added to the extension field; If I modify the data deleting the space in the phone number window Outlook inmediatly adds the space when I changed to another field. There is a way
to avoid this behaivor?

I did it on my side and reproduced this issue.
Based on my understanding, it may be a behavior issue(?) since we don't need to type the numbers for the country, in your case, I think "52" should be Mexico, so just select "Mexico" from "Country/Region" as below,
"52" will be added automatically:
Then add the middle part in the "Local number", and *1 in the "Extension". It will then be displayed as you expected.

Adding white spaces between strings during concatenation in JSTL

Please provide a way to add white space between strings during concatenation in JSTL.
I tried the following.
eg:
<c:set var="even_odd" value="odd">
<c:out value="first ${even_odd}"/>
I want the output string as "first odd ".
Moreover i am using the above value for generating the class attribute of a row of a table like
<tr class=<c:out value="first ${even_odd}"/>>
while printing the value of <c:out value="first ${even_odd}"/> in the page,i am getting correctly as i needed as "first odd".
But while taking the code of the page while rendering by the browser, it is showing like
<tr class="first" odd="">
I think the white space is the problem.
Please provide any solution or hint.

Adding space between a buttons in a navigation list

Hello,
I am currently using apex 3.2.1 with a 10g backend. All of my forms are using a button list navigation. On one of my forms, I want to add more space between two buttons. Is this possible?

That doesn't work for a button list navigation. It just makes the button bigger. I need space between two of the list entries in the navigation.

Adding spaces between words

I currently have a navigation menu with 5 words, each of which are also a link. I want each of the words to be spaces about 30 pixels from one another. I don’t want to use a table to separate them.
I can copy “ ” seven times between each word in the html code to add 7 spaces between each them, thus achieving the desired result, but several online forums warn against this.
I read somewhere online about creating space objects to achive this spacing, but if possible, I’d like to do this using CSS. I tried creating a CSS style called “NavStyle” and then under the Box category, adding 30 pixels of left padding and 30 pixels of right padding to the style and then applying this style to the 5 words in the navigation menu, but this appears to have created padding only to the left of the first navigation word and to the right of the last navigation word, rather than to between the words. Adding 30 pixels to the left and right margins had the same effect.
Is there some other way in spacing this five words from one another in CSS that I am missing?

I have a similar problem. Though i am trying to space out some titles on my footer. The titles in two cases are made up of two words. So when i apply word spacing it spaces the title also
