Add item to context menu

Hi everybody! is it possible to add item in context menu when right button mouse clicking on layer?

You can not do this regularely. However you can try something like this:
Free program AutoHotkey (www.autohotkey.com) react on right click (Alt+Right click or Esc+Right click or something similar) and displays is own GUI. Than depending on action, it starts your java script which then run your plugin.
Your plugin must be scripting Avare.
It is not most elegant but if you absolutely need response to right click (modified ) this can be the way.

You can use the RightClickEvent to add your context menu depending on the position of the right click.
You have a sample explaining how to use the RightClickEvent in the SDK UI Samples called 22.RightClick.

NEED more than 15 menu item in Context Menu ????

Hi,
I really need to have more than 15 menu item displayed on Context Menu. I desperately need some workaround or ideas to achieve this
My client has invested thousands of dollar in Flex Project, he definitely need more than 15 menu item.If this project failed , client will NEVER think to invest in flex.
Had I been aware of this limitation before I would have thought some solution by now.This comes as a surprise to me at the last moment ,just fews days before Prod Date.
I cant also user java Scrip heck as my Flex application is running inside Dot net Container , I do not access to the luxury of java script
Pls gents help me get rid of this ...PLEASE provide some ideas.

I got your point but as for as I know grouping like Quality is not possibel in Flax Context menu. I also cant go for window style menu(file,edit) because I need them to be displyed on DataGrid right clk . I am designing a trade datagrid where in trader can see all trades and he can approve/reject etc by just right clk and selcting proper menu item form Context Menu.
In case of window style (acrobat.com) menu trader will have to reach to menu instead of getting all options on mouse right clk
I will have to think other alternative wich provides same ease as cotext menu.(God knows what is that )

The item Hierarchical Context Menu does not support pre-calculation

Hello,
Trying to download pre-calculated web templates via RepAgent, using the Hierarchical Context Menu feature within the template (populated via control query with Hierarchy) the system returned the following message upon file download:
"The item Hierarchical Context Menu does not support pre-calculation"
As a result the Hierarchical Context Menu is not displayed on the downloaded html-files. Navigation not possible.
Could not find any constraints documented in the online help, at this point.
Question: is there something missing on our setup or is this really out of scope for precalculation with navigation?
Any other experiences on that or shall we open OSS-message?

Removing Items from context menu

A while ago I had installed a trial version of VMWare Fusion, which I have since removed from my computer.
One change that VMWare fusion does is to add "double entries" to the "open with" menu when ctrl-clicking on a file.
Here's an example:

If I accidentally click one of those entries that says (Mac - Boot Camp Partition.app) it tries to open the now non-existent Fusion.
Is there a .plist file somewhere which I can edit to remove these entries from the menu? It's messy,and kind of a pain.

How to add/delete items in right click context menu when opening a new link FF17 osx... 6 instances of open link in new identity profile have appeared

The menu items appeared without any idea why, they had not been there before. I have macbook with os 10.6.8 I had been trying to get pdf to work in firefox, so had followed a recipe suggesting enabling the pdf reader part of firefox. Required making 2 adjustments to the about:config. One disabling the browser.preferences.incontent and would changing default of pdfjs. Pdf still won't display, but don't know if what I did is related. Now I am trying to just find out how the menu gets modified at all, and whether I can do so as a user.

A little research revealed addons can add items to context menu, in this case multifox adds option to open tab in new profile for multiple gmail etc logins. I had updated addons earlier, think that triggered it. So now I know why and what it does. The problem is why 6 times listed (instead of just one)... it also varies, sometimes the context menu will have one instance... and have seen as many as 9. Not sure why it varies, but would still also like to know how to modify context menu. Could just be a bug in multifox with FF17 I suppose. I will disable multifox and see if problem goes away.

I want to access the options in the context menu when clicking on a dropdown list in the bookmarks toolbar, but the context menu disappears when I try to click on one of the options. How can I keep the menu from disappearing?

I have several dropdown lists in my bookmarks toolbar and would like to access the properties for some of the the items. This used to work fine. However, now, when I go to the list and place the cursor on a particular item, the context menu that is usually available on a right click disappears when I try to access one of the options. Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
Also check the Mouse driver settings in the Control Panel.

Urgent requirement on adding context menu in strobe media player

i want add fullscreen and scale mode in strobe player context menu.. i have added these menu items to context menu in videoInfoOverlay action sctipt.
but i dont know how to add code for full screen in context menu click event.. what code i have to add into it? this is very urgent requirement.. can anyone know?

Thanks for the quick response. I had not seen the building-osmf.pdf file before. Upon quick inspection it seems to be based on CS5 and not CS5.5 and the font issue that I am running into does not seem to be mentioned in the document. Once I figure out the font issue I'm having, I'll update this thread.

Multiple desktop context menu

I have dual screen on OSX when launching the application on one screen and then moving it to another, the context menu's on tables and combox box's the popup menu stays on the screen that the application was launched? Is this a bug? I don't have a windows desktop to test it on.

Hiding Options in Context Menu for Specific Roles

Hi SDN,
We have navigation iview assigned to some of the users. There appears context menu and the items in it. We need to remove some of the options like copy, move for the specific users.
How to achieve this specific requirement of hiding few of the items in context menu of KM Folders and files for specific users or roles?

Hello!
In Portal KM, set Permissions on folders for this users (Group of users) - Read.
Other way - you can edit Ui Commands of Layoutset - which is used in iView,then create copy of iView (not delta link) and delete commands you don't want to show, then assigne iView to your specific role

File context menu disappears (in shared folder, if some files in it are bein modified)

Hi!
The problem is:
When I'm in Windows Explorer in shared folder on network drive (SMB), trying to open context menu for any file in this folder, it will show and then disappear in ~1 second, so I can't have time to select item in context menu, especially in any sub-menu!
It only happens if:
1) some (another) file is downloading in that moment to THIS shared foolder
2) some (another) file is editing by another user in that moment, or some log is writing by some software in that folder,
or archive is unpacking in that folder
and so on..

I haven't heard others have this kind of issue.
Please remove that network drive completely, and then follow below guide to re-map it for test:

Context Menu is not working in flash player 10.1

I write a flex application. I added some custom menu items in context menu. when I compiled this code using flashplayer 10.0, it works fine and my added context menu items are shown when I Right-Click. But when I compile same code for flashPlayer 10.1, menu items that I added in context menu are not shown when I Right-Click. What should I do to resolve this issue? I am using sdk 3.5.
Any help or suggestion will be appreciated.

You can set the context menu fcode for a field in the screen painter. Look for property 'Context Menu form' in the properties.
In your example below, the fcode set was request, and hence the form is called on_context_menu_request.
As for the call_object function, a double click on the method name should take you to the method itself so you can figure out what is happening there?

Virtual keyboard's context-menu: can users add items to it?

iPad's virtual keyboard has a context-menu: when you hold a finger down on the -a- key of the English keyboard, for example, a context-menu appears showing various accented/combining forms of the character -a- from which you can choose. Is there a way for users to add items to this context-menu? Could one add [ð] [u00F0, 'Latin eth'] to the [d] key's context-menu and [þ] [u00FE, 'Latin thorn'] to the [t] key's context-menu?

Unless there is a keyboard language that already supports those characters, then no. You cannot add additional options to the built-in keyboard. There are apps that extend the keyboard, one in particular is the Wolfram Alpha app. While I don't know if it supports the characters you are looking for, it does have an extensive variable based keyboard for input in addition to the system keyboard.
