Add 'offsite' links to sitemap.xml

Sometimes an 'offsite' link isn't really 'off site'. For instance, if you incorporate a WordPress, or other, blog into your Muse created site with an offsite link to that blog. That blog link needs to be in your sitemap.xml. In fact, all of the blog's pages need to be in the sitemap. Currently, I have to manually add the offsite link to my blog's folder to the sitemap every time I re-publish from Muse, as it overwrites the previous sitemap.xml.

try calling dbms_xmlgen.setrowsettag(qryctx,'siteMap') ;
before retrieving the result with DBMS_XMLGEN.getxmltype (qryctx);

• Sliding Flash Interface - Using Links from an XML file Problem

Hi All,
Working on a new site for the company i've recently started
working for... fairly new to flash but wanted to try this sliding
interface for the graphic banner at the top of the page...
have a look here at an early version of the site - sliding
graphic interface at the top with coloured rollover buttons (a lot
of work still to do! feel free to post constructive criticism)
(am I allowed to post links??)
here is the unfinished version with no links in the flash bit
http://www.westfieldhealth.com/website/index.asp
The Problem:
I am pulling in a 'heading' 'text' and 'image' into the
sliding graphic interface from the following xml file... (there are
4 different xml files for 4 different slides)

<dialogue>
<heading>Interested in selling our health
plans?</heading>
<text>Click here to learn more...</text>
home_window/intSmall.jpg
</dialogue>

I want to add a link to the xml that would be specific to
each instance of the window...
eg

But my limited knowledge of flash means I have no idea how to
pull the link through from the xml file to use in the flash...
Perhaps I need link text to pull as well
eg
<link-text>click here to contact us</link-text>
Here is the function that pulls in the img, heading and txt
public function onComplete(event:Event):void {
var loader:URLLoader = event.target as URLLoader;
if (loader != null) {
externalXML = new XML(loader.data);
mover_mc.heading_txt.htmlText =
externalXML.dialogue[0].heading;
mover_mc.myText_txt.htmlText = externalXML.dialogue[0].text;
var url:URLRequest = new
URLRequest(externalXML.dialogue[0].img);
myLoader.load(url);
} else {
trace("loader is not a URLLoader!");
Can anyone help me on how to pull in the link from the xml
and use it to navigate to a different page on the site
Thanks very much
Hans

my unfinished flash file...

What is the exact error you get (what db version also), could you post a simplified version of the SQL which fails also? I have splitter based maps that successfully read from file via the XMLType(bfilename....) style code and insert into multiple targets, I did this on 11g though.

• How to add URL links in XML file?

Hi,
I'm having problem with adding the URL links to the flash output. I'm using the XML file to call images and then the corrsponding links. Images are called correctly but when I try to add a link I'm not getting the links, but instead getting the HTML anchor tags as texts. I'm using the XML escape characters to escape the HTML tags but the results are not what I need.
I'm using the following code:
<thumbnail preview="large.jpg" thumb="thumb.jpg">

Finance Services

<discription><a href="http://www.google.ca">Google</discription>
</thumbnail>
Output:
Images are displayed correctly, but instead of getting the links, I'm getting following text message:
Google
I need to find out what I'm doing wrong. Am I using the correct way to add the links or not?
Thanks for your time.

I'm using following code for the Description part, where I need to place the HTML tags:
var _discription:TextField = previewHolder.discriptionText.discriptionText;
_discription.htmlText = _xml.thumbnails.thumbnail[photoNum].discription.toString()
I'm using the htmlText, I tried replacing htmlText with tf.htmlText, but it didn't work. I'm importing the text field using import flash.text.TextField; do I need to import something for HTML tags to work?

• How can I add links to open xml and csv files stored in another location? Please advice how to place links in my frame maker document?

Hi,
I would like to know as to how can I add links to open xml and csv files stored in another location? Please advice how to place links in my frame maker document?
Kindly advice.
Thanks
Priya

Special > Hypertext > Command "open document" will do its best to open the target document inside FrameMaker, which may not be much help; Special > Hypertext > Command "message …" will use the application you specify. The user guide for 7.0 says this about absolute links, and I don't think anything has changed since:
For example, to start PaintBrush and open the Ship.pcx file on drive C you would use the command message system pbrush.exe C:/Ship.pcx
I've not often used a relative link, and not recently: the same source says
folder levels are separated by a slash / even in Windows and Mac
[relative links] FrameMaker searches for a relative pathname beginning in the folder that contains the current document
[absolute links] FrameMaker searches for an absolute pathname beginning at the top of the file system. In Windows, the absolute pathname begins with the drive specifier, a colon and a slash.

• ADD A LINK AROUND MAIN IMAGE IN PHOTO GALLERY

would be different and set in the xml file can some one help
please. I can't figure this one out.

It's usually something like:

• Dynamically add Children Link Element

Hi,
I'm trying to dynamically add a children element, a link, but the action binding refuses to work ...
I've created a custom jsf component, that does nothing at all.
For example, one would use it like:
<my:nothing></my:nothing>So my UI class would have the following methods:
public void encodeBegin(FacesContext context) throws IOException {
public void encodeEnd(FacesContext context) throws IOException {
}The tld file is created, the tag class is working. All the component is working properly.
Now I want to add a link as a child component, but I wat to do it programatically, so I changed the encodeBegin method of my custom ui class:
import javax.faces.el.ValueBinding;
import com.sun.faces.util.Util;
import javax.faces.el.MethodBinding;
import javax.faces.component.UICommand;
import javax.faces.component.html.HtmlCommandLink;
import com.sun.faces.taglib.html_basic.CommandLinkTag;
public void encodeBegin(FacesContext context) throws IOException {
String myLinkId = "idMyLink";
String myLinkValue = "myLink:Value";
String myLinkStyle = "color:green;";
String myLinkAction = "backup";
HtmlCommandLink myLink = new HtmlCommandLink();
myLink.setParent(this);
myLink.setId( myLinkId );
if (CommandLinkTag.isValueReference( myLinkValue )) {
ValueBinding vb = Util.getValueBinding( myLinkValue );
myLink.setValueBinding("value", vb);
} else {
myLink.setValue( myLinkValue );
if (CommandLinkTag.isValueReference( myLinkStyle )) {
ValueBinding vb = Util.getValueBinding( myLinkStyle );
myLink.setValueBinding("style", vb);
} else {
myLink.setStyle( myLinkStyle );
if(myLinkAction!=null) {
if (CommandLinkTag.isValueReference( myLinkAction )) {
System.err.println("Id="+myLinkId+":TRUE:getAccao:isValueReference:"+myLinkAction);
MethodBinding vb = getFacesContext().getApplication().createMethodBinding(myLinkAction, null);
myLink.setAction(vb);
} else {
System.err.println("Id="+myLinkId+":FALSE:getAccao:isValueReference:"+myLinkAction);
final String outcome = cNfo.getAccao();
MethodBinding vb = Util.createConstantMethodBinding( myLinkAction );
myLink.setAction(vb);
myLink.encodeBegin(getFacesContext());
myLink.encodeEnd(getFacesContext());
}This seems to work, but not quite ... the link appears as expected, the value references for value and style are correctly passed, but the action doesn't work at all.
For example if I change to:
String myLinkValue = "#{mybean.linkText}";And I have the following method created on my managed bean:
public String getLinkText() {
return "This is myLink Text!";
}Is successfully calls and retrieves the value from the method. Same happens to the style property.
Now for the action, if I change to:
String myLinkAction = "#{mybean.doMyLinkAction}";And I have the following method created on my managed bean:
public String doMyLinkAction() {
return "backup";
}The result is nothing ... I mean the method is not called at all. The "backup" is properly defined on my "faces-config.xml":
<navigation-rule>
<from-view-id>/testPage.jsp</from-view-id>
<navigation-case>
<from-outcome>yes</from-outcome>
<to-view-id>/yes.jsp</to-view-id>
</navigation-case>
<navigation-case>
<from-outcome>no</from-outcome>
<to-view-id>/no.jsp</to-view-id>
</navigation-case>
<navigation-case>
<from-outcome>backup</from-outcome>
<to-view-id>/backup.jsp</to-view-id>
</navigation-case>
</navigation-rule>If I create the link manually on the web page:
<h:commandLink id="myLinkManual" value="Manually Created Link" style="" action="#{mybean.doMyLinkAction}"/>It does work (the backup.jsp page is shown), so the methods are properly configured, only the action binding does not work.
Wether I use a string "backup" or a reference "#{mybean.doMyLinkAction}" I cannot make it work.
On the console I get the following results, for each value I test (string "backup" or reference "#{mybean.doMyLinkAction}"):
Id=idMyLink:TRUE:getAccao:isValueReference:backup
Id=idMyLink:FALSE:getAccao:isValueReference:#{mybean.doMyLinkAction}So the "if (CommandLinkTag.isValueReference( myLinkAction )) {" is working properly ... that just leaves me with the action method binding instructions ...
Why don't they work?
Any Help Appreciated ... Thanks in Advance!

c'mon guys ... can anyone test this and help me out?
Pleeeeeease ... I'm really needing this working out.
Thanks

• What does "domain name is used for your typekit fonts & SEO sitemap.xml" mean?

Why is Muse now asking, on either uploading files via Muse or externally through another ftp, for a domain name that is used for your typekit fonts & SEO sitemap.xml?
I used Muse for exporting my files to ftp externally a few months back and I could add whatever I liked into the domain name field (which made sense as I could choose an appropriate name). I upgraded Muse this morning and now no domain name I add in here is accepted and on hovering over the info icon I get a "domain name is used for your typekit fonts & SEO sitemap.xml. What does that mean exactly?
If anyone can help?

Hi Guys
Great thread Omniscient! Like Bian, my username is just my name. It's a unisex name and caused a nice little debate in the early days of this forum as to whether I was male or female!
Kerry is from the Irish meaning 'dark-haired' but I am a blondie (natural blonde when younger, bottle blonde now I am older!) I think my mum just liked the name...
There are lots of interesting usernames out there - tell us about them and where they come from!

• Help... link URL from XML to Flash Action Script 2

I am trying to link a different URL to each of my files in XML and use this XML in Flash were I created a carousel. In the carousel, when you click on a picture I would like to insert a specific URL. Each picture will have a different URL (http://------------).
Here are my codes:
XML:
<icons>
<icon image="icon1.png" tooltip="Planning" />
<icon image="icon2.png" tooltip="Investments" />
<icon image="icon3.png" tooltip="Education" />
<icon image="icon4.png" tooltip="Insurances" />
<icon image="icon5.png" tooltip="Mortgages" />
<icon image="icon6.png" tooltip="Retirement" />
<icon image="icon7.png" tooltip="Business Owner" />
<icon image="icon8.png" tooltip="Banking" />
</icons>
Flash Action Script 2:
import mx.utils.Delegate;
var numOfItems:Number;
var radiusX:Number = 250;
var radiusY:Number = 75;
var centerX:Number = Stage.width/2;

var s = (this._y - perspective) / (centerY+radiusY-perspective);
this._xscale = this._yscale = s * 100
this.angle += this._parent.speed;
this.swapDepths(Math.round(this._xscale) + 100);
this.onMouseMove = function()
speed = (this._xmouse-centerX)/10000;
Thanks so much for the help.

You should be able to add that data into your xml tags and then extract it in the AS2 onLoad function...
XML:
<icons>
<icon image="icon1.png" tooltip="Planning" linkURL="http://www.someURL.com/somePage.html" />
AS2:
xml.onLoad = function()
etc....
t.onEnterFrame = mover;
t.toolText = nodes[i].attributes.tooltip;
t.urlLink = nodes[i].attributes.linkURL;
etc...

• Sitemap.xml 404 error

I recently had to change the domain name on my site. It was set up with google apps and webmaster tools, and everything was working great. The sitemap indexed my pages, and it was easy. I added a new domain name, and I have the old one forwarding to the new one. Everything seems to be working fine. The forwards work, and the page works great, but I keep getting a 404 page not found error when I try submitting the new sitemap.xml to google. WHAT IS THE DEAL? The support people on the chat thing can't seem to help me. They told me they would resubmit and it would work in 24 hours. It never worked. It's been like 6 days. I don't think anything is changing. Has anyone had this problem? Any way to work around it. If I can't get my sitemap submitted, I can't optimize my search results, and my page is useless to me. HELP!

Because the domain is not acting line a website, its just a forward. It is void of content, it has no content, it is just pointing to your new domain and that is what has the sitemap.
You already have this:
http://www.crabtreedermatology.com/sitemap.xml
And as you add content this updates every night.
Your also changing what say in nearly every post first you talk about old domain and your new domain sitemap is fine, then you saying the new one is not working when it is.
In terms of old information you have to give google time to understand you changed domain and wait for it to filter out the results. You can not just change a sites domain like you have an have instant results. It does not work like that.
You can set up webmaster tools for the new domain, add the sitemap.xml for the new domain (not the old one) and then allow google to crawl and then you can deny urls and control what google reads and knows from there.

• How to add new links to a page

Hello Community
In Sharepoint 2013 Server can you create:
A Link in the left navigtion bar or Quick Launch
when clicked it can open a new page and on that page there is an “Add New” type of
button.
Then on that page you can add as many links as the page will allow, each
of those links can contain a url
Thank you

Hi,
To add a new link on the left nav:
You can go to site settings> navigation> add a link under "current navigation".
For the second requirement:
You can create a "links" list and add it to that second page. This way you can have that "Add Links" option and add links.
Thanks,

• How do I add a link to an external site from my navigation toolbar?

I want to add a link to an external page on the navigation bar, but when I right click or use inspector nothing looks useful. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Open the Inspector and then click on Hyperlink to create any link to an internal or external page. It is the second from the end and has the blue hyperlink symbol and yes, take time to look at what is in the Inspector - they are all 'useful' at some time!!

• How do I add a link to the list of links under the "My Account Link"

Q) How do I add a link to the list of links under the "My Account Link"?
A) Edit any of your portlet web services and go to the "Advanced URL Settings" and then "User Configuration URL". If you type a path in this box, a link displays on the My Account page.
You need to restart your portal web server to see results immediately because the display page is cached.

• How can I add a link to an item within a workflow email - which will always find the item - even if it's status has changed?

I've used the method within the SharePoint designer to add a link to the workflow context current item URL, but when the current item status changes then obviously this link will no longer work.
How can I change this link so that it will always open the item, even if someone has changed it within the list, before I clink on the link?
This is an important one as over 300 people will use the list and many of these will be emails about items on the list will be in different time zones. I don't want to have lots of mails from people saying "this list doesn't work" as it's
critical they keep using it.
Please help.
P.S. I don't know if the <href> method will work, so if someone can confirm to me then that would be great.

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that add a link to an item within a workflow email.
I’ m not very clear about the status you said. Please descript more detail which URL do you want to display.
Per my knowedge, you can display the following url in your email body:
[%Workflow Context: Current Item URL%]
[%Workflow Context: Current Site URL%]
[%Workflow Context: Workflow Status URL%]
[%Current Item: Encoded Absolute URL%]
Please start the workflow automatically when an item is changed and changed.
No matter how you edit the item or update the approve status, the URLs remains the same.
Thank you for your understanding.
