Add Query Error in Sap Dashboard

Dear All,
I have downloaded the trail version of SAP Dashboard.I would like to add a query and create a dashboard.But it is not accepting the authentication details.
Kindly Suggest.
Does Trial version support creating of demos from Query.

Have tried to login with the same credentials either with CMC or BI Launchpad ?.
Have you checked the server information in the host entries ?

BO4 - Dashboards - not able to add query

Hi,
Getting message below when add component to dashboard ad try and add query.
Have never used dashboards before and have a few .unx universes.
Using bo4 sp08.
Have read the note checked out the url and added it as an alias to the server.xml on the actual server but still same error.
I've changed the port number under which the web services run from 6405 to the one Tomcat uses but not sure if this is best practice and now runs.
No firewall issues as same domain so not sure why doesn't work on 6405
Any thoughts.

Manged to get it to work.
We chnaged the url in cmc/applications/web services to remove th 6405 port number as we are using tomcat and the 6405 refers to the web application container service which isn't running.

Dashboard - add query

please need help here
im trying to use the "add query" in the query browser- (in dashboard -)
and when i do that its ask to connect to bo4///
i insert the connection data- and start to run with the query
the problem is that it dont show me anything in the first step/"select a universe"
despit the fact that i build universe in bo/
please help me to understant what i was doing wrong/???????????and what i need to fix

Hi Yossi,
In BI4.0, there are now two separate tools for creating universes. The "Universe Design Tool" is the old "Designer" tool. This tool can only create universes in the old format, which will end in .unv.
The second (new) tool is called the "Information Design Tool" (IDT). This tool can only create universes in the new format, which will end in unx.
So, you cannot create a universe using the "Universe Design Tool" that can be used in a query in Dashboard Design.

You can create new folders for universes in the CMC, by clicking on Universes in the Organize column. Note that unx and unv universes have different icons, and unx universes will show the extension unx.

Authentication error when creating EPM Add-in connection with SAP BO Enterprise connection type

Hello, Experts,
I have a problem with creation of EPM Add-in connection when SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise connection type is selected.
An error message is "Error while communicating with the server. Framework message: Authorization failed."
Here are the steps that were implemented and how this issue was reproduced:
SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation 10.0 SP12 for Microsoft was installed and configured.
Integration between SAP BPC and SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.1 SP02 was implemented. SAP BO users can successfully connect to SAP BPC system.
EPM connector was successfully installed and deployed in SAP BusinessObjects BI server.
BPC ODBO 2.0 SP04 64BIT was installed in SAP BusinessObjects server.
EPM connection was successfully created in SAP BusinessObjects CMC.
EPM Add-in and BPC ODBO 2.0 SP04 32BIT was installed in another computer (let's call it CLIENT) which has MS Office 2007 32BIT installed.
From CLIENT computer we have launched Excel manually and successfully created BPC connection with Connection Type - Local.
Then we have logged into BI Launch Pad and launched New / EPM document (Excel). Excel has started.
In EPM Add-in we have pressed Logon.
In connection window selected SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise connection type.
An error "Error while communicating with the server. Framework message: Authorization failed." appears.
Before this error appears we are not getting any window where we could select EPM connection (created in CMC) nor the possibility to enter username or password.
Looking forward you valuable comments and suggestions.

Our user has Full Access to all BPC tasks and it is administrator in BI system.
Also we can successfully connect with the same user using Connection type "Local".
We had done some investigation and in the BPC SQL Server trace log we can catch the following message when an error occurs:

It is very interesting that after the EPM workbook is launched via BI Launch Pad till an error occurs we are NOT provided with possibility to enter any username and password. So the EPM add-in should use the same user which was logged into BI Launch Pad - in our case the user with administrative rights both in BI Launch Pad and BPC systems. Am I missing anything?

Error in XPRA EXECUTION Phase of Add On installation in SAP sys in SAINT

Hello All,
I have tried to install VERSANH ADD On on my SAP System with SPAM Version 7.00 <0032 kernal level 48.
i have run transaction SAINT imported all PAT and ATT files and started the process.
now after running around 16 Hrs it is throwing error in XPRA EXECUTION Phase.
The Error is
The Add on installation terminated during phase XPRA EXECUTION
Choose CONTINUE to continue the import
Choose BACK to delete the installation queue
Choose LOGS to display the import logs
i have clicked on Continue, the it process and after 1 Hr throws same error
i have navigated to OS Level in usrsaptranslog and there in log i am getting this line as error
ERROR RFC function TRINT PROGRESS INDICATOR returned 18

Please check the log files under /usr/sap/trans/tmp directory. There will be some information about the error and paste the log here to analyze the problem.

Error in sap query

Dear Experts ,
I have a query and executing using SQ01 . Here im getting warnings as
The query specifications cannot be used to generate a list, i.e. the query will probably not return the list you desire.
If you still want to execute the query, please use the "Generate" function . -> 'Generate'
Here im not getitng the output i require . then the system says ** Fields from parallel tables within a line Line: 02
Field: Account number of supplier or vendor (LFB1-LIFNR, table LFB1) ;
Field: Account number of supplier or vendor (LFBK-LIFNR, table LFBK)
Same thing comes for Bank country key, bank key , bank account number .
Please heklp as to what is wrong

Hi Tien,
You cannot add the Query to the main menu.you can try the other way round. Paste the query in the crystal report and then check the report is comming OK. Then add it to the main menu via crystal Reports.

Dashboard Widget Error in SAP B1 8.81 PL-08

Hi Experts,
I have installed the SAP B1 integration component and establish the connection of B1D1 and JDBC connection with company database and clicked on Test connection and it runs successfully.But when clicked on Dashboard Widget from General Settings->Cockpit-click on checkbox of Enable Dashboard Widget then it gives error "Install SAP Business One Integration Service before enabling Dashboard widget."
Please give me solution asap.

Could be a firewall or antivirus issue as the dashboard uses active x.

SAP Dashboard Design Startup Error "Could not load file..."

I am using SAP Dashboard Design Departmental Edition 2011 (currently trial version).
I have created an interactive dashboard with several selectors, graphs, and image components.
I went to open it yesterday, and an error popped up that read "Could not load file. This file may be corrupt or contain features not compatible in this verson of dashboard design."
I went to open it again this morning, and the same error showed up.
I am able to open older versions of this project (for example, a version saved on a previous date), but I receive this error message when I attempt to open the most up to date file.
Any ideas on why this is happening?

What environment are you running on?
-OS Version
-Office Version
-Flash Player version
It is likely that an issue occured during the last save instance of the XLF, therby corrupting the file. What you can try to do is install the "debug" version of the Flash Player. This will hopefully reveal more detailed error messages upon opening the XLF file (eg. actionscript/flex errors).

Stuck on "Add Query"

Hi Gurus,
Just Installed Dashboard Builder and tried the query builder, however after login in on our network to select a universe it get stuck on "Add Query" panel where you cant do anything (nothing happens when clicking 'back' and 'next') you can only close the window by clicking the close button.
is this a know issue? are there any other who encountered this problem?

Hi, I have the same problem but in my case appears a new window with the following error:
Error de procesamiento de solicitud. (XLS 000009) [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified.
I've already included this: "C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win64_x64" in the PATH enviroment variable, but the problem persists.

Add Query Reports to My Cockpit

Hello Experts,
Is it possible to add query reports to My Cockpit in SAP 8.81 under the Common Functions window? If so, how? Currently these reports reside under the My Menu tab which is not enabled when My Cockpit is active. If this not possible I would need to convert those report to Crystal Reports which will take some time.

Need some of you Geniuses to help with an IF statement in SAP Dashboard

This statement is pretty straight forward in excel but keeps giving me an error in Sap crystal dashboard/xcelcius
The error is all the single Gauge values.

Please check your C12 Cell. you may be using some formula or maping some dynamic value using some connection. Check that cell that causing you problem . If you are dividing anything by zero you will get DIV/0 error

Also when I tried to update my MYSQL connector / J driver to version 5.1.5 from 5.0.5 (NB 5.5.1) and 5.0.7 (NB 6.1), I could not get it work (looooong time to search some JDBC classes and with no response in the end) on both of my Netbean 5.5.1(on PC) and Netbean 6.1(on laptop) IDEs.
Could anybody look into this issue.
