Inserting static text in between rows returned from a pivot table

Is there a way to type static text (eg. “Note that the data for Land has an accuracy of 98%”) in between rows returned from the dataset in the rtf template. The alternative would be to break the BI analysis report (which is the source of the template data) into 2 parts and then insert each part into the template one below the other with the text typed in between.

I'am having problems trying to write a static text to a fixed length file using the file adapter.
I'am using the FlatStructure sample provided.
When I run the sample, there's no problem... But when I remove the mapping from tns:State <-> fix:State (in addr1Toaddr2.xsl) and change the fix:State to a static text (Set Text option in right mouse popup menu) then this text will NOT show up in the written fixed length file.
My addr1Toaddr2.xsl looks like this:

Note:
The construct "<xsl:value-of select="string('E234567')"/>" is my 'patch'to write a static text.
Can you tell me what I'am doing wrong? Or is this a bug...

Hi ,
I am assuming you are using Oracle JDeveloper XSL Mapper for designing the XSL. Currently , our XSL Mapper has a limitation due to that whenever you add any static text to target node in mapper, it adds an extra "\n" with that static text. And so our Native format translator doesn't find the definition for that and that's why it doesn't get printed in the file.
Workaround [although little painful] is remove those extra "\n" after you finish your XSL design.
We are working to fix this issue asap.

Is it possible to add static text to a TOC?

Hi, Gang!
My editor has suggested that I create an annotated TOC by adding a few sentences of descriptive text under each chapter title entry in the TOC. This static text would fall between the chapter title entry and the listing of subheadings within the chapter.
While I could create this static text as a final step, manually formatting the TOC around it, I would much prefer to create this text so that it survives updating the book (and TOC).
Is this possible? The only thing I can think of is creating some markers of some sort and storing the static text as marker variables and then somehow having the TOC pick up that marker and display the text in the appropriate place, but I'm not sure if that would work, nor how I'd do it.
I welcome any suggestions for accomplishing this.

If you have the content in markers, you can do a list of markers. Be sure to create a custom marker type.
However, I do not believe one can create a list of paragraphs (a TOC) and markers together in one list. If you did both, your last step would be to move the marker entries into the TOC list. Of course, this is not preserved during book updates, but you would not have to rewrite the inserted text.

How to Add Hyperlink to Static Text View

It's possible to add Hyper link or local link(when click that link. then it shows some text in message box) to some part of the Static text view.

From your description, it seems that you have a RichEdit Box control and you want to add a hyperlink feature to your RichEditBox control. Could you tell us what type project do you want to use, windows form, WPF or native MFC?
For using windows form and WPF, you should be easy to find some ways to achieve your goal on the web. For example,

How to add coloumns in the static text view

Hello all,
I am using answers and I want to use the static text view
Now I want to make my own table.
I was thinking somthing like this:

Where @1 is the first column on my answer report.
Unfortunately this isn't working.
I can't find anything in the manual about this.
I know @1 works for the ticker view, so thought it must work on the static view as well

How the repository variable work on the dashboard report in static text

I would like to display something like the below on the dashboard prompts in static text.
The Data extracted as of <repository variable>
I created a repository variable which extracts the last updated date of the warehouse.
The static message on the dashboard should show as above where repository variable should be the last updated date from the warehouse.
I appreciate if anyone can help me do this.

1) Put an extra column in your workspace. It doesn't matter what column you choose. Drag this column all the way to the left so it is the first column in your Request.
2) Click on the fx button and delete the contents.
3) Click on the "variable" button on the bottom right of the fx window, select "repository variable" and then type the name of the repository variable you created.
4) Go to the Narrative View.
5) Type the text, "Data extracted as of" and then type @1.
6) Change the "Rows to display" (right-side of the Narrative View window) to 1.
7) Add this view to your Compound Layout.

We are migrating from CC 4.0 to CC 5.2. Task 3 of the Migration Guide explains the process of exporting SAPtext from the backend and uploading it to the frontend.
Step 9:
Complete the following fields:
- System ID
If CC is connected to multiple SAP systems, enter a single system name here and repeat u201CTask 3: Upload
Static Textu201D (steps 1 through 10) for each SAP system.
- Local file u2013 Enter (or browse to) the file path for file SAPText.txt.
My question is about loading SAP text from multipe systems. Our master system in CC 5.2 is PR (which is where we exported our rules from) but we do run cross-box analysis on SR and CR. Regarding the bolded text above, does this mean I have to extract static text from all 3 backend systems (via the /VIRSA/ZCC_DOWNLOAD_DESC program) and load it to the frontend? And if so, can someone please explain to me what the function/purpose of static text is?

From the bold text and as you stated, you have to execute such program as many times as instances of SAP R/3 system you want to run risk analysis for.
What is such information loaded into CC for? Basically such information is master data definitions for all actions, authorization objects, fields, values and org variables.
For instance, when you define a function, you have to add a transaction. If previously you have uploaded such info into CC database you will be able to see the description related to it.
Please keep in mind the language you download the descriptions for and the CC user language setting.
The static text you upload into CC is registered in table VIRSA_CC_OBJTEXT

How to add a text area in a Content pane..?

I created a content pane with 5 buttons. One of them is a quit button, and I was able to create an "system.exit(0)" event handling for him. My problem is.. I have 4 other buttons, and I want them to show some text when I click them. How do I add a text area bellow my content pane..?

By default the content pane of the JFrame uses a Border Layout. So you should:
1) Create a JPanel
2) Set the layout of the JPanel to FlowLayout
3) add the buttons to the panel
4) add the panel to the content pane
5) add your text area to the content pane

Adobe form -- Issue in Displaying Dynamic text along with Static text

I am having an issue when i am displaying a dynamic text along with static text in adobeforms.
The dynamic text is slightly coming down and not aligned with the static text. i can see half row it is coming down.
how to align both texts to be printed in same format.

Hi,
Select both dynamic and static text in the layout. Goto Object palette -> Layout. Give values to X,Y coordinates and Height & Width. Anchor properly and specify margins as well.
Select both dynamic and static text in the layout. Right click on it and goto palettes -> Paragraph. It gives you the text alignment options. Align the text and give similar font and size.

Static Text - Font Size

I have a requirement for an Add-On form to make the text larger than normal (larger than than all the other forms) as it needs to be read from some distance away.
it_STATIC items do not have a FontSize attribute, is there another way of overriding the font size for static text items?

You can add user defined fields into Marketing document rows, these will be new columns and will appear U_[COLUMNAME]
