Add values on VB(2 - From value field

In the customizing t.c VB(2
I need to add more values, in the from value field, for example "the first day of the semester" "first day of the trimester"...
I don't know if it is possible, I've attached a screen capture.
Thanks

I'm not aware of any ODP.NET bug on that. Usually the cause is data stored incorrectly in the database.
How did you insert the data, was it from ODP.NET as well?
What characterset is your database?
select parameter, value from nls_database_parameters where parameter like '%CHARACTERSET%';
Insert a single chinese character in a one column table, dump it with the following, and let us know the results:
select dump(<columname>,1016) from <tablename>
Paste the chinese chararacter here as well.

Also, fyi, the [ODP forum|http://forums.oracle.com/forums/forum.jspa?forumID=146] would be a more appropriate place for this type of question in the future.

  • Add value field to existing/ productive operating concern

    Dear All,
    I need to create a new value field and add it to an existing operating concern, which is already in use (there is already transaction data in the live system).
    In my opinion I have to do the following steps:
    1. Create new value field (KEA6).
    2. Add value field to operating concern (KEA0).
    3. Activate operating concern (KEA0).
    4. Transport operating concern (KE3I).
    Is that strategy ok?
    Is it ok, to transport an operating concern, when the system is already "live" and there is transaction data in the system?
    Thanks for your answers,
    Regards,
    Michael

    Hi,
    first create new value field in KEA6. then take those new Value field in your operating concern Data Structure in t-code KEA0. Then generate the operating Concern.

  • Add value field to operating concern

    Hello,
    I have created a new value field VV955 and want to add it to my operating concern in transaction KEA6.
    I go into change mode for all value fields for my operating concern and add a new line with my value field. When I hit the save button, it says "Field VV955 exists as Val. fld in field catalog -> choose another name".
    Also when I go into change mode in KEA0 where you can drag value fields from left to the right, the value field is blue which means I cannot assign it to my operating concern.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks
    Anne

    Hi,
    While creating value field it will only consider long text. Inoperating concern Data structure in KEA0 you can assgin value field it will display in blue first, when you select to data structure you can see value field and save the value field.

  • Add data to table view from input fields in a page

    Hi
            I am developing a BSP page which will be called from SRM shop transaction. After user enters the line item data, data will be passed back to shop transaction using OCI interface and the page attributes (URL).
       (1) How can I add data from input fields to table view on a page on a button click? I am able to add first line but I could not retain first line data when I try to add the second line.
          I am able to add multiple lines to table view if I use view and controller by adding to the line data to static attribute of the controller. I can’t use the controller and view because I can not set the attribute to Controller automatically.
       (2) Is there a way to pass an attribute (URL) to controller from SPRO? Like we pass an attribute to page automatically (Automatic page attribute).
       (3) How can I call a controller and view and pass the page attribute to the controller on a button click from a page with out controller?

  • Value Field not fetching the data

    Dear COPA Experts,
    There has been an addition to the cost component structure for my current client. The cost component has been created and CK11n is showing the correct data for the correct cost component. I had to add value fields to my current COPA report to reflect the figures from the cost component. For that, I had created and activated the Value Fields in KEA6 and assigned it to the Operating concern in KEA0 and activated it. Then, I had assigned the value fields to the cost component structure in KE4R. I had then added the value field in the COPA form through KE95.
    When a new cycle is completed, It does not reflect the valuation in KE30 report. I had crossed checked in KE24 which is a standard report. The result in KE24 and KE30 report is same, i.e the valuation is not even reflected in KE24 report.
    Please guide me to where am I missing something?
    Best Regards...

    Hi,
      "When a new cycle is completed, It does not reflect the valuation in KE30 report". This statement is not clear. Are you expecting KEU5 cycles to populate this value field ? Normally this value field should be populated during billing (VF01) when the value of the cost component is populated in the value field.

  • Powerpivot pivottable - I can't add or drag a "value field" from the pivottable field list into the "values" section.

    I built a pivottable using Powerpivot.
    Initially, I can add or drag any data field I want to columns, Rows or the Values area inside the field list (those 4 squares). However, as times goes by...suddenly... I just no longer can add or drag a "value field" from the pivottable field list into the
    "values" section.
    Does anybody know how to fix this problem ?

    Hi Bin Long,
    I tried what you suggested.
    I believe that there is a glitch in the Powerpivot field list (where you find the 4 squares for columns, rows, values, filter)
    When I initially create a pivottable with powerpivot, everything works fine when I am adding field list items to the the columns, rows, values sections, filters.
    However.....IF I close the powerpivot field list or if I save and close the excel file...then I cannot add more items to the "values" section.
    I can comment about one thing that seems different in my powerpivot field list. When I can no longer add items to the "values" section, I realized that in the TOP section of the field list I see in bold letters a summary of the items that are SUM ∑ in the "values"
    section.
    Does anybody know how to fix this ?
    Thanks.

    Hi Praveen,
    Your form is not shared so I have not been able to access it.  But I have updated mine.  There are now two approaches, one that follows on from the above method and updates each drop down list in each row.  The second updates a separate dataset that the drop down list is bound to.  This second approach requires the remerge() method which can cause problems if your code has updates some form properties like a borders color as these will be reset, but the code is simplier and you will only have one list to maintain.  The add button click code is;
    var particulars = xfa.datasets.resolveNode("particulars");
    if (particulars === null)
        particulars = xfa.datasets.createNode("dataGroup","particulars");
        xfa.datasets.nodes.append(particulars);
    var particular = xfa.datasets.createNode("dataValue","particular");
    particular.value = ItemName.rawValue;
    var boundValue = xfa.datasets.createNode("dataValue","id");
    boundValue.value = BoundValue.rawValue;
    particular.nodes.append(boundValue);
    boundValue.contains = "metaData";
    // find sorted position to insert
    for (var i = 0; i < particulars.nodes.length; i++)
        p = particulars.nodes.item(i);
        if (p.value > particular.value)
          particulars.nodes.insert(particular, p);
                 break;
    // add to end if greater than all existing items
    if (particular.parent === null)
        particulars.nodes.append(particular);
    // clear source fields
    ItemName.rawValue = null;
    BoundValue.rawValue = null;
    // remerge form data to pick up new item
    xfa.form.remerge();
    And the binding looks like;
    I have updated my sample to include both methods, https://workspaces.acrobat.com/?d=OwysfJa-Q3HhPtFlgRb62g

  • Field with a default value from another field

    I need to populate a field as the default value from another field that the user inputs. I've tried the scripting that I found from the below Topic in the Archived Forums, but I'm not able to make it work. I've tried numerous variations and still to no avail. I tried to make the scripting work in Acrobat 6 and then decided that maybe I needed to upgrade, so I'm now trying it in Acrobat 8 with no results. Can anyone help?

    Thanks very much.
    I put it in at document level to start, but it didn't run the script automatically when date1 was first filled in, so I have put it in as a mouse exit action in date1 and it works a treat.
    Thanks for your help.

    Okay forget what I posted above and lets start over. Go to your first field and under Properties -> Actions Tab -> Select Trigger -> On Blur Run A JavaScript.
    Put this:
    this.getField("myField2").value = event.target.value;
    Make sure that you replace ("myField2") with the actual name of your second field. I just tested this and it works for Acrobat version 6.
    I haven't been doing as much javascripting as I used to, so sometimes I too make some basic mistakes.

  • COPA - Split of Value from condition type into different value fields

    Dear All,
    Customer is having several free schemes to customer the same is set up by SD and Cost of free goods is attached to One Z condition type, this flows along with Main product as characteristic. So we have Main product cost in VPRS and Scheme cost in Z Condition and there is possibility of more than one scheme cost flowing in one Z condition for single billing document. Whereas customer request is to see the each scheme cost separately in COPA. Since Value from SD will be flowing through only one condition type , it will be difficult to me to Split this in COPA. We have given a thought of having more than one condition type from SD ( one Z condition for one scheme) but this resolve our issue at hand. If we look at long term whenever customer introduces new Scheme new condition type need to be created and related COPA changes etc, Which doesn't seem to be working out.
    Request Experts help in this, thanks in advance for the help.

    Hi Santosh
    Having a Z cond type for each scheme is preferrable.... This would address the issue with Standard SAP itself...
    Reason being, if you dont do that, then you will have to maintain a mapping somewhere in a Z Table where by system would come to know of the ratio between the schemes... This will be more cumbersome to develop and maintain... Still you wanna do that, here is the logic....
    Maintain the schemes in a Z Table... Where each scheme will have a scheme ID - The ratio applicable to various schemes and also the relevant value fields of COPA to be updated for each scheme....
    Now, add a Custom Field to the Sales Order and while creating the SO this field needs to be updated with the scheme ID(Relevant Exit to make it mandatory MV45AFZZ / ZB).... If Scheme ID is populated, your Billing should read the Split from Z Table using Exit RV60AFZZ and Update COPA using Exit COPA0002

  • Inserting a value from page field into an xml file

    Hi there,
    I have added a field 'Comments' on a create vacancy page.
    There are other fields on that page and the values from those fields are getting stored in an xml file.
    This xml file is getting stored in TRANSACTION_DOCUMENT column of table HR_API_TRANSACTIONS.
    Is it possible to add the value from the field (that I've added on the page) into the same xml file?
    If yes, please tell me how
    and if no, tell me what should I do to store that value.
    Regards,
    Gaurav.

    Hi Gaurav,
    You need to check in seeded files for the logic of generation of XML file and setting it in DB column. May be in PLSQL API this code would exist.
    Once you get that logic you can append your column value in XML tag (need to create new tag) if you are allowed to modify seeded API. Otherwise use free additional attributes of the table.
    Hope I am clear.

  • How do I use pots on my client machine to change values, from the field, on my server machine and all other client machines?

    I am using Lookout 4.5, build 12, and I am having a problem concerning pots. I have data tables created for the different size sewer stations my system monitors. For each station, there are setpoints for starting and stopping of the pumps. I want to be able to change the setpoints for a station on the client file using a pot and have it change on all other machines running Lookout. I did this in 3.8 using DDE, but I don't want to use DDE anymore.
    I created a pot on the client file and URL'ed it to a pot on the server. On the server I created a table with a generic member "A" named "Lead Setp" and then created a member "A1" named
    "C5_1LeadSetp" then a member "A2" named "C3_1LeadSetp" and so on....
    In this table I connected the generic member "A" to the Pot I created on the server, and I connected A1 to its corresponding setpoint signal coming in from the field.
    On the client file I connected (in the table similar to the one on the server but with all signals for the station) the "A1" member to the setpoint signal coming in from the field, and I connected the "A" member to the Pot I created on the client file which is URL'ed to the pot on the server file.
    But, when I change the value of the pot on the client file, only the pot on the server and the "A" member in the table on the server change to the value of the pot on the client. The "A1" member whose screen I am changing the values from on the client does not change! This is the last thing I have to do and my file will be completely converted to 4.0. Does anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks for any responses..

    Jason Phillips

    Hi Jason,
    If I understood your task correctly, you want to change the Setpoints on the Server DataTable using Pots from different clients. And also reflect these changes on the clients locally.
    You correctly remoted the Pots on the Clients to the corresponding Pots on the Server. However, you do not need tables on your clients. All you need is Expressions on each client to the particular cell of the Clients.
    So, to summarize: On the Server, the Pots write to the DataTable. And since the Pots on the Clients are remoted to these Pots on the Server, you can affect any change using these Pots. Because of the common remote source (Server Pots, i.e.) all of these Pots will always be in sync. Finally, to get the Setpoints on the Clients, just insert Expressio
    ns to the Server's DataTable.
    I am attaching a simple example (exmpl.zip) which does this. There are three processes -- My_Server, My_Client1, and My_Client2. I had them setup on the same machine so the paths are all process relative, but you can always change those to computer relative or absolute and move the client processes to diff machines.
    Hope this helps.

    Khalid

  • Only on value field in COPA gets values from SD

    Hi,
    I created two value fields for COPA. I assigned one of them to the condition VPRS (a cost) which works properly. The other condition, assigned, VKP0 doesnt appear in the COPA-document. We are using record type F.
    But when I ran an flow analysis I can see that the value from VKP0 has flown to COPA in record type A?
    I will assign point directly to a working solution.
    Best regards
    Carl-Johan

    HI,
    Billing document value flow is as per KE4I mapping to value fields.
    There are some value flow analysis tools under CO-PA to check your settings with respect to value flows. Use transaction KE4ST (Simulate billing document transfer -> Value flow (<Ctrl +F7>) to check where things went wrong.
    Hope this helps.

  • Remove Value Field from Operating Concern

    Hi all,
    I created a new value field in DEV and assigned it to the corresponding Operating Concern.
    Now, after some discussions, it is not necessary this value field.
    I want to "un-assign" from the Operating Concern they use.
    No data is being posted to this value field and nothing has been transported to QA yet.
    Is this possible? Any ideas?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Flower.

    I guess you can delete the value field as it was not transported to QA and PRD.
    Here is some information given by SAP.
    Deleting characteristics/value fields from an operating concern
    You can delete characteristics and value fields retrospectively from an operating concern that you have already activated. However, you should only use this deletion function for operating concerns that have not yet been used productively. You should also note that some database systems require the operating concern tables to be converted (database conversion) after the deletion has taken place if data had already been posted to the operating concern. Depending on the data volumes involved, the database conversion can take a matter of seconds or indeed several hours. Moreover, you cannot post data or run reports during the conversion. Due to integration, other applications are also affected when data is postedwith an assignment to profitability segments (such as settlement and direct assignment from FI/MM). If the operating concern has been transported to another system (such as the productive system), then the database conversion must also occur in that target system.
    Depending on the fields that were deleted, the following tables need to be converted (where xxxx = operating concern):
    Characteristics: CE1xxxx, CE2xxxx, CE4xxxx, CE4xxxx_ACCT, CE4xxxx_FLAG, and CE4xxxx_KENC
    Amount fields: CE1xxxx, CE2xxxx and CE3xxxx
    Quantity fields: CE1xxxx, CE2xxxx, CE3xxxx, CE4xxxx, CE4xxxx_ACCT, CE4xxxx_ACCT, CE4xxxx_FLAG, and CE4xxxx_KENC
    Before deleting fields from an operating concern with a large data volume (more that 10 000 records in a table), you should refer to the section "The Database Utility" in the ABAP dictionary documentation. This section describes the database conversion process.
    For database systems that do not require conversion (such as DB2 for AS/400, Informix, MSSQL), it can still take a considerable amount of time for the operating concern to be activated.
    To delete characteristics or value fields, perform the following activities:
    1. Delete the corresponding characteristics and value fields from Customizing in all clients (this includes forms, reports, planning layouts, and so forth). To locate characteristics and value fields, use the appropriate where-used list in the Customizing Monitor. You can access it by choosing Tools -> Analysis -> Check Customizing Settings. You can jump directly from the where-used list to the relevant Customizing transaction and then delete the appropriate field there.
    2. Switch to the screen for maintaining the data structure of an operating concern (Maintain operating concern).
    3. If you need to effect other changes to the datastucture for the operating concern before making any deletions, effect those changes and save the data structure.
    4. In order to be able to select the fields of the data structure, choose Extras -> Characteristics (or Value fields) -> Unlock.
    5. Select the characteristics and value fields to be deleted and remove them from the data structure with the "Reset fields" function.
    6. Reactivate the operating concern. The system starts by checking whether the operating concern contains any data and whether the fields to be deleted are still being used in any Customizing settings.
    7. If none of the fields are still in use, the system then starts the re-activation. If the operating concern does not contain any data or does not require the database system to be converted, the tables are activated. You are then able to activate the environment for the operating concern. In this case, the following activities no longer apply.
    If the operating concern already contains data, a system message tells you that the database needs to be converted. If you proceed, an activation log appears (at the top of the list).
    8. Analyze the activation log. If it only contains error messages telling you to convert the tables, proceed with the next activity.
    You must otherwise remove the cause of the errors before the tables can be converted. In this case, you should answer "No" to the next prompt, which asks whether the conversion transaction should start.
    9. If you still only receive error messages telling you to convert the tables, choose "Back" and start the conversion.
    10. Plan a job for the conversion. A list of the tables to be converted is shown for this. If the tables only contain a small amount of data (less than 10 000 records), then all the tables can be converted in one job. In that case, you can select all the tables.
    For larger tables, conversion should take place in several jobs. However, you should ensure that table CE4xxxx (where xxxx = operating concern) is the last table to be converted.
    Warning. No other changes can be made to the operating concern during the conversion.
    A copy of the table is generated during the conversion. The database system should have sufficient memory available for this copy.
    To schedule conversion as a job, use the "Schedule selections" function. You can display the current status of the conversion by selecting the "Refresh" icon. Tables disappear from the list once they have been converted sucessfully. If a conversion is taking a while, it is also possible to leave the transaction. You can then continue the conversion using DB requests -> Mass processing in one of the following ways:
    With the job overview. You access this by choosing System -> Services -> Jobs.
    Using the database utility transaction. You access this by choosing Utilities -> Database Utility in the ABAP Dictionary menu.
    You can use the status function to call up the status of the operating concern during operating concern maintenance. You need to activate all tables after conversion.
    11. To analyze errors that have occurred during the conversion, you can use the database utility transaction by choosing Extras -> Logs. The log has the same name as the conversion job: TBATG-date. You can also restart the conversion with this transaction.
    For more information on the database utility, choose Help -> Application help while still in the above transaction.
    12. Once you have activated all the tables in the operating concern, generate the operating concern environment from within operating concern maintenance.
    You can then use the operating concern again.
    If you want to transport the operating concern into a different system, see the section "Notes on transport"
    Note
    Hope this helps
    Thanks,
    Reddy
