Added Field, but no data displayed

Hello Experts,
I have added CITY field successfully in Relationship Assignment Block by creating a new Attribute using WIZARD.
Component : BP_DATA
View: AccountRelationshipsOV
Context Node: BUILRELATIONSHIP
Attribute: City
It has generated
GET_CITY
SET_CITY
GET_M_CITY
GET_I_CITY methods successfully.
I can see the added field in my WEB UI i.e. CITY.
But the problem is when a new Relationship is created or selected by clicking on 'New' on Relationship Assignment Block, it is displaying only NAME but not CITY.
While creating the Attribute thorugh wizard, in Attribute Definition
I have given
Attrib.name        : CITY                ( can this be city or should be ZCITY)
BOL Entity         : BuilAddress
BOLAttribute      : CITY.
What else have to be done to get the data for this particular field.
your suggestions are really appreciated.

You can add new field in the view as value node(data dictonary) or context node(BOL).
Value node field - in this case if you want to populate the values in the field, you can write code withing GET_CITY. See some sample GET methods
Context note field - since this will be part of BOL structure you do not need to do anything for populating the field. Standard SAP fetched data as whole BOL structure so it should take care.

I think this is Context Node field only,
I have created a adde these two fields by right clicking on ATTRIBUTE.
The coding is done in all the methods.
GET_CITY, SET_CITY...etc.
Where could be the mistake?

There are two kinds of metadata involved when you consider jpeg or other image file.
One is the file data. This is what the Finder shows. This tells you nothing about the contents of the file, just the File itself.
The problem with File metadata is that it can easily change as the file is moved from place to place or exported, e-mailed, uploaded etc.
Photographs have also got both Exif and IPTC metadata. The date and time that your camera snapped the Photograph is recorded in the Exif metadata. Regardless if what the file date says, this is the actual time recorded by the camera.
Photo applications like iPhoto, Aperture, Lightroom, Picasa, Photoshop etc get their date and time from the Exif metadata.
When you export from iPhoto to the Finder new file is created containing your Photo (and its Exif). The File date is - quite accurately - reported as the date of Export.
However, the Photo Date doesn't change.
The problem is that the Finder doesn't work with Exif.
So, your photo has the correct date, and so does the file, but they are different things. To sort on the Photo date you'll need to use a photo app.

Newly added field in the data Source not getting populated

Hello All,
We have added few fields in the Data Source. The Data Source is based on the InfoSet. We have included the field in the Infoset and have updated the code to fetch the value for the newly added fields.
When we perform the test extraction for this Data Source in RSA3, the newly added fields are not getting populdated with the value. In the system generated query's selection list, the newly added fields are not selected.
Please let mw know how to get the newly added field selected in the system generated query of the infoset.

Hi,
As you said you have added the filed in Info Set. Have you included the same in data source? try if not.
If you are trying to create a query in source system to check the data. I guess in R/3 (ECC) then you have to include the new field in slection critera (ther is an option available on top menu).
I would suggest before creating any query go to RSO2 select the data source. Display the field structure and check if the filed is there or not. You maysee Infoset level data directly by data display from top menu. Try that optionas well to check.

Adding Field in Form not Displaying Data

I recently added a field to a table in our database and then added it to a form. For some reason, it is not showing in Oracle Forms (10g) when I bring it up. I have several other fields from the same table that show fine. I verified that I was looking at records w/ data in that particular field and have been all over the properties in forms to see if I could fix it but nothing has worked. There is a relation b/w data blocks but nothing has changed w/ that or needs to.
FYI, same issue occurs in the 6i version of forms.
I would appreciate any ideas you have to get this data to display. Thanks.

I just did what I think you would have been trying to do and the data shows up for me. The only thing I can think of that you might have missed is to set the Column name under the Database section in the properties sheet for the block item representing the new field.

I made a simular test site using Dreamweaver and got it to
work ok. However the formating on my description did not look
correct. On my input page I used a large multi-line form box. When

box, but once the same data was pulled from the database the
paragraphs where all ran together in one large text block. What do
I need to do to keep my input formating?

Javascript works for text field, but not date ??

Hi,
I'm trying to calculate work-day hours based on a start and end date range, as the dates are changed (using onChange event). I tend to do this kind of thing in chunks, so I started with a very basic script that should simply update 1 item with the value of another, when it is changed.

html_GetElement('P51_UPDATE_TO').value = html_GetElement('P51_UPDATE_FROM').value;
As log as P51_UPDATE_FROM is a text field, P51_UPDATE_TO updates fine. If P51_UPDATE_FROM is a date field however (as it should be), P51_UPDATE_TO doesn't udpate at all. Any ideas why this might not work with a date field update?

After playing around a bit more, I notice that manually typing in a new date will trigger the onChange event, but I can't get it to work when using the date picker...is there a way around this?

EEWB - Adding fields to transaction data CRMD_CUSTOMER_I

Hello Gurus,
The Service Contracts has been enhanced using EEWB to accomodate few fields.
The database table in CRM has created an .include with the fields that has been enhanced.
But the corresponding datasource 0CRM_SALES_CONTR_I, has not been enhanced as the EEWB promises to do.
The BW tick is present in the EEWB.
Is there anything that I am missing out.
Full points to right answers.

PHP Form Emailing Fields But No Data

I am running into a little problem with my PHP form script. I am able to email my form and receive a message, however the message has no data, except for where I have check boxes. Can anyone help me solve this dilemma? Some of the code has been remove intentionally.

Expanding text field to hold data

This sounds like a pretty simple problem, but... I have created a form using Designer that consists for 4 text boxes that span the width of the page. We are using a middleware product, LogiXML, to populate the form. We have successfully accomplished getting the data to appear in the text fields, but the data is being cut of because of the size of the boxes. I have selected the check box to allow the box to expand and to allow mutiple lines. This doesn't seem to have any effect. Am I missing something here?

The only field type that'll let you have multiple lines of text is a text edit. With that object, you can check the
Allow multiple lines property on the Object palette's Field tab and check the
Expand Height (in your case since the text fields are side-by-side) property on the Layout palette.
The combination of these two properties should get you text fields which display their content in total visibility.
If that still doesn't work, then it's possible you haven't saved your form as a
Dynamic PDF form (or, if you've saved your form as XDP, that you aren't previewing it as a Dynamic PDF form).
If you think your problem is the preview type (i.e. you're not previewing as a dynamic PDF), the following entry on my blog should help you out:

I tried by adding the standard fields, but they are not populating the values; but just appearing as Input Fields with Input help option.

Newly-added field missing in the field catalog for NR00

I am about to creat condition record for condition type NR00 free goods . I need to make some customizing to meet our requirement .So I changed the field catalog for the condition table by adding a new field BWAST (purchasing document type) . After that I am going to creat a new condition table 501 with this newly-added field ,but I can't find the field in the right part for field catalog .

Hi,
I have noticed that my reports sometimes display old data. That is, I change the parameters passed to the report but the data displayed is the data for the first set of parameters. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
I am using Crystal Report XI Release 2 and displaying the report via the .Net Report Viewer control.

Fields missing from Data Source but displayed in RSA3

Hello Experts
I have an issue while finding for a field in the data source. As I am looking for some fields : MABST, MINBE, EISBE on BW Side but not found. When I llok the same fields in ECC Side in the table RSOSFieldmap, then I get these fields in 0MAT_PLANT_ATTR Data Source. In the same time , the fields are not available in the Data source on BW Side as well as on ECC Side(while goin thru RSA6). Also when I execute the RSA3 for the data source, I am getting the data in the Missing Fields. How it can be possible? Also plz let me know how can I make these fields available in Data Source.
I replicate the data source, also i looked for the hidden fields, but still not succeed.

TO unhide the field,
Just Goto T.code RSO2 > press change button.> unhide the filds and --> Generate the Datasource
or
Goto RSA6 --> select the Datasource and --> press change button (pencil icon) --> unhide the filed --> Save and Generate the Datasource.
Try the above two option and check if it is working.
