Newly added field in the data Source not getting populated

Hello All,
We have added few fields in the Data Source. The Data Source is based on the InfoSet. We have included the field in the Infoset and have updated the code to fetch the value for the newly added fields.
When we perform the test extraction for this Data Source in RSA3, the newly added fields are not getting populdated with the value. In the system generated query's selection list, the newly added fields are not selected.
Please let mw know how to get the newly added field selected in the system generated query of the infoset.

Hi,
As you said you have added the filed in Info Set. Have you included the same in data source? try if not.
If you are trying to create a query in source system to check the data. I guess in R/3 (ECC) then you have to include the new field in slection critera (ther is an option available on top menu).
I would suggest before creating any query go to RSO2 select the data source. Display the field structure and check if the filed is there or not. You maysee Infoset level data directly by data display from top menu. Try that optionas well to check.

Data source not getting imported

Triggering following error when I am try to import the DS '/IRM/LIS_RM_IPCRITM' from BW development to quality.I have replicated the data source in qty and imported once again

Data source not getting replicated

hi all,
i have created a generic datasourc and when i tried to replicate the datasource in BI, its not getting replicated at all.\
the datasource is active in rsa5.
I tried to replicate the application component but still the particulate datasource is not getting replicated.
I tried to store the data source in ECC in separate application component and try to replicate in Bi.,But still cannot replicate.
how to replicate the datasource?

Please check if you r not replicating the daat source first time:
1. Delete teh PSA records if any.
2. Check if your replication trial create lock entry in daat base tables.
3. After deletion of whole datasource along with teh data , try replicating teh datasource again.
IF new datasource:
Go to rsa6 activate teh data source , check in RSa3 the extraction is proper.
log off from all teh sessions and of both BW and R/3 system.
Log in to BW and select teh r/3 system and replicate full data source.
Also check teh daat source RFC is activated and restored as well.

ALV Block list. Field name at user command not getting populated

Hi All,
I'm trying to use ALN block list. Field catalog is built using the REUSEALVMERGE FM.
I've put hot spot on some fields. When I'm trying to capture the data when user clicks on the hotspot field the structure that comes in the user_command subroutine is not getting populated with the fieldname. But it is getting populated with the tabname and value is also coming properly.
FORM user_command
          USING
          ucomm    TYPE sy-ucomm
                selfield TYPE kkblo_selfield.
What could be the possible reason?

How to get the histoical data for newly added field in the cube?

Hi Experts,
I have small doubt on remodeling the infocube.
After adding the characteristic or keyfigure to a cube by using remodeling concept, how can I get the historical data for that particular field.
I have searched in SDN also but I didn't get proper information.
Please excuse me if I posted repeated question.

depending on your customer need you could use the remodelling functionnality but sometimes you have no way to retrieve what you want so another option you should consider is the following:
Advantages
that will cost less effort and guarantee the result.
Drawbacks
data is redondant for a while
space (depending on the volume of historical data)
So here are the steps :
step 1Adjust your extraction process according to the fields you need to add to populate the cube.
step 2 Then create a dso next or even a cube, feed the dso with a full load with the enhanced extractor you adjusted with the new fields in step 1 only once in fact this should be one shot.
step 3 Copy the query to the previous built multi-provider on top of the new historical data from dso and the running live delta cube. Adjust the queries if necessary.
optionnal Then if you want to get rid of the dso or new cube for historical data you could empty the actual one push the data from the new data provider and that's all.

Newly added Keyfigures to the cube is not shown in Bex designer

We have added some new keyfigures to the base cube and multicube in our dev system. In multicube we correctly assigned the "source" for the new infoobjects.
We are able to see the new fields in the query also, but the same we have transported to GWP system.
We are able to see the new infoobjects in the cube and multicubel. but the report we are not able to see the same.
When we execute the query, it is throwing error because of missing fields.,
Can you please help me here, My system version is Bi 7.01 Ehp1 sp3

Some times it happens this way. Once again you save the existing query, close the entire applications and then try to change the query. Hopefully it shows up the new fields now.

PLIKZ field for COPA data source not there in Extract structure.

Hello all,
When I create a data source for COPA the PLIKZ field from the segment level is not maintained in the Extract structure and it is not replicated to BW also. But the other field GJHAR is maintained in the Extract structure which is also there in the segment level!!
Clarify me why it is not available in extract structure? Also we are in 4.7 version and 3, 5 in BW.
Points will be assigned!!!

Data entered in the custom field in the SRM portal not getting saved..

Hi Experts,
I have added a custom field in Contract Screen of the SRM portal by adding the field as an append structutre in structure INCL_EEW_PD_HEADER_CSF_CTR.
The custom field now appears in the header (basic data ) of the 'Process contract' screen.
NOw It allows me to enter data in the custom field .
The problem is ..
When I 'CHECK' or "RELEASE' the contract, the value entered in the custom field disappears..
How do i capture the data entered in the custom field ...please HElp!!!

We have upgraded our SRM system from 3.0 to 5.5
I have added the custom field in structures INCL_EEW_PD_HEADER_CSF_CTR and
INCL_EEW_PD_HEADER_CSF as the field has to appear in the basic data tab of 'Process Contract'.
Regarding debugging:
1. I tried to debug in BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI by calling the FM BBP_PD_CTR_GETDETAIL. inside the badi and the parameter e_header of the function module contained the custom field but had no value...!!
2. I tried to debug the badi BBP_CUF_BADI_2 method MODIFY_INPUT..
The import variable iv_fieldname contains the field name amd the variable iv_value has the value entered in the custom field .........but another import structure ls_header also contains the custom field but no value....
Method MODIFY_INPUT has only one export parameter ev_value,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,!!!!!!!!!!!!

If P_TYPE='P' , then the data must get saved in KEC_FDACCT_DTL table.
The problem what is happening is,
If i enter the details with all the records as 'P' , the record gets inserted into the table KEC_FDACCT_DTL
If i enter the details with records of 'P' and 'R' , then nothing gets inserted into the table KEC_FDACCT_DTL.
Even the records with 'P' is not getting updated.
I want the records of 'P' , to be inserted into table KEC_FDACCT_DTL, even when multiple records of all types of 'P_Type' (R, w & P) are entered.
So, can you please help me with this.

There was duplicate of 250398 which i dint enter in the form second time,
All the other P_TYPE was also inserted , but i want only the P_TYPE='P' to be inserted into the database.
I want only those records to be inserted into the form where P_TYPE='P' and duplicate rows must not be entered.
How do i do this???

Date is not getting populated soon after a change in a field which has LOV.

I have a requirement in my form......
I have a two fields, in my form......
One field which has a LOV's list---------------> the name of the field is "PRIORITY" and it has following LOV's
*) LOW *) MEDIUM *) HIGH..
Second field is of date field-----------------> the name of the field is "DUEDATE"....
I needed is that soon after i select anyone of values from the list in "PRIORITY" column for example assume it has "LOW"...
The due date column should automatically populate the date, accordingly that is setted for LOW..
The same is in case of "MEDIUM" and "HIGH"....
How it is possible to populate the date accordingly soon after i picked one of the LOV's from the priority column...
Whether i need to set any dynamic actions for the due date column...or else....if so means......
guide me friends..in stepwise manner......whether to write any query in back end....
i also tried with query it didnt worked.......

Field of a table is not getting populated correctly in xml file.

I transfer a ABAP table as an XML messgae on to application server.
BUt the correct format is not comming on Server.
Eg: i have a filed in table as /abc/def this field is getting populated on xml messgae as -abc-def
How do i solve thi sproblem.

Fields missing while creating the data source

Hi All
I am using a third party system to pull data in to BI...Actually there was one table where from the other end they had added 2 fields recently...when i checked in development i was able to create the data source for the table along with the new fields..but when i check it in production those newly added 2 fields are missing .. though i am able to see the old fields in the data source the newly added fields are missing..so is there any problem with the refreshment of the table or should we reastart the connection?
Can any one please let me know a solution for this...

BI QA ---> All Three connected to same 3 rd party system
BI Prod
If yes, If it is R3 replicate datasource will help.
Incase of third party system you need to regenerate the datasource.
if it is DB Connect try to go to the source system and connect to database table from BI side and at the top you will have
generate datasource. use that option you will be able to solve.
Else
BI Dev - 3rd party dev
BI prod - 3rd party prod
Try to add 2 new fields in the 3rd party system and generate the datasource as told above.

How to modify (add a new field) existing SOAP data source ?

Dear Friends,
I am getting data from Legacy databases (from different Views) mapped to the BW through XI.
There is an existing SOAP Data source which is mapped to the non-R/3 source system Views through XI.
My question is:
Now I wanted to add a new field to the existing SOAP Data source, which will be mapped to the newly added field in the source system by XI.
Please advice how could I modify the existing SOAP data source?

My plan is to add the new InfoObject(field)/BIC/ZXXX in the Datasource --> Map that field to the Info Object Zxxx in Comm Str. --> Extras (menu) --> Create BW Data source with SOAP connection --> Regenerate the PROXY --> so that now the XI guys could map the new Infoobject in my Datasource to the new field in the Legacy database tables
But why is that I am not able to add a new field in the Datasource ? I am trying this way: RSA1 --> Infosource tab --> Dbl. click on the existing Datasource --> here...I am trying to add new field in the Datasource...
is there any other special place where I could add a new field to the existing SOAP Datasource ?
